If being broken up with when he wasn’t even officially mates with Squirrelflight causes him to try and burn her presumed children a few years later, then some years after that come back and possess her mate… Then well, he’s clearly too unstable. Even if Squilf never broke up with him, whose to say something else wouldn’t happen in their relationship which triggers him to act like that?
I think it’s better than Brambleflight/Squirrelclaw.

A wonderful father as well as responsible deputy!
I love Hawkwing!! Seeing him as a struggling hot-headed young warrior rising from the death of his brother to becoming a sensible and responsible deputy in a clan wrestling with difficulties was really intruiging to me. I love how he’s also a really nice, caring, and supportive father! I also found how much he cared for Plumwillow’s kits Finkit, Reedkit, and Dewkit during the journey to be very sweet as well! Overall, I think Hawkwing is a completely wonderful character all around! 😀

I have, in fact read them all. But I have time on my side. I started like 6 years ago??? Something like that. So, I made the mistake of reading Cats of the Clans first, thinking it was the first one. Yeah, I spoiled a ton of stuff for myself. The last one I’ve read (for the first time) was Sky. But if you don’t care about which order you read them in, by which I mean what order you read them for the first time, Bluestar’s Prophecy. I just finished it while researching for a Snowfur article.
