  • Emberstar glanced at the cats below her and took a deep breath.
    “As most of you know, our deputy has gone missing [inactive/current doesn’t rp]. So, StarClan has made it clear to me that I must choose another temporary deputy.” She paused and looked steadily at the cats. “The new deputy will be Saffronspirit,” her gaze fell on the she-cat and she gave a small dip of her head. She leaped down from Highbranch and stood in front of the cats.
    [Frog, I hope it’s ok that I made your character dep. If you’d rather not be deputy, just tell me and I’ll make Juniperleap become the dep 😊]

      • “I know you won’t.” Emberstar meowed confidently. She jumped down from Highbranch, “Clan dismissed.” She announced before heading over to Saffronspirit. Before she could reach her new deputy, Havenpaw ran over.
        “Mother, why didn’t you make Juniperleap deputy?” He asked. “and when can I be a warrior? Also, how long will it take for me to be deputy? And-”
        “Hold it right there, Havenpaw.” Emberstar said gently. “First of all, Juniperleap is too busy trying to control you to have more responsibility. Second of all, Saffronspirit has more experience. And third, she deserves this. She’s worked very hard to get to this position.” She glanced over at Saffronspirit with a small nod of appreciation.
        Havenpaw shrugged and ran off to go pester Juniperleap.
        Emberstar went over to Saffronspirit, “I am glad that you accepted,” she meowed softly. “and I’m sorry I couldn’t let you know sooner. I was told to immediately call the clan meeting and I wish I could have let you know, but StarClan made it very clear not to.” She smiled at Saffronspirit, “How are you feeling?” She asked kindly

        • “I’m good.” Saffronspirit responded briskly. She glanced at the fresh-kill pile, and then turned her head back to Emberstar. “I think I’m going to send out a hunting patrol. The fresh kill pile is running low.”

              • Havenpaw bounced up and down, waving his tail wildly. “Choose me! Choose me!” He exclaimed.

                Juniperleap gave him a hard stare, “Havenpaw,” he meowed warningly. “Don’t make me put you back on tick duty.”

                Havenpaw’s eyes grew wide and he sat. After a few moments though, he was kneading the ground excitedly.

                Juniperleap sighed, “Yes, you can go.” He meowed. “But, I hear one peap out of you and it’s back to camp!” He flicked his tail and looked around for someone else to take on the patrol.

    The theme was GAMES ON NEW YORK TIMES or WORD/SPELLING RELATED GAMES.
    Solarpaw/flame and Violetpaw/gaze guessed the latter in that order, both of them getting one point each, and Darkkit/iris guessed the first answer, getting two points (because it’s more specific and more accurate, as Tiles isn’t really word or spelling related). Olivepaw/shard also gets an extra 1 point for guessing NYT games! (they guessed it outside the three first people line but got the more detailed one.)
