In a corner of the Blog sits a den full of possibilities. It belongs to one of the people who make this space what it is – our Deputy. This den is many things, changing year by year as those with that title come and go. It is a space for contests, advice, chatting, pictures of animals, discussions….or anything else their minds come up with. It is a den where anything is possible, and our Deputy chooses which path to follow.
I hope that all who find this space enjoy their time here – for as long as they wish to stay. Its guardians will watch over you, and do with this page whatever they think the Blog needs for as long as they reign.

Of course, I had to start this off with a shout-out to our old deputy, Cheeto! I didn’t know Cheetahspark very well as I joined soon before she retired, but she was a celebrity around the blog and I always wanted to get to know her better. She was kind and friendly and always made everyone feel right at home. I haven’t seen her in a while but I really hope I get to meet up with such an amazing and inspiring BlogClanner again.

For the first week of these posts, I thought I’d start with what a few people have suggested already – a short story contest!
The prompt:
“Run.
Dont look behind you. Just run.
I sprinted away from the rising danger. Heart pounding, I tried to steady my ragged breathing. I had to get to safety. I had to get away from that.”
NOTE: this does not have to be a warriors fanfiction. It doesn’t have to be about cats at all! It can be about anything you want (and it doesn’t have to be first person either, but you might want to edit it slightly if you decide to use third person)
This also has no word limit, but it is a short story contest so try not to make it a full novel 😛

So, I totally understand if you can’t make this happen, but I ask that you pls read it anyway, because it would mean a lot to me if you could make this happen.
As you know I’m blind, and rely on VoiceOver (Iphone screen reader in case you didn’t know) and a Braille Display to read and write stuff. I also really wanna read your fanfic.
But here’s the problem: so you know you have the entire book in a google doc? Well that doesn’t work for me. It’s bulky and crashes my braille display the two absolutely refuse to work together, so I can’t actually read it. The fact there are line spaces doesn’t help: the text area is just one element with all the text being shoved into it, so the line spaces don’t really help like they would in other places.. I’d try with VO, but even then (This would happen either way) it’s hard to keep my place. So, I was wondering…Is there any other place you could put it? I have a few ideas: You could use Wattpad, or have separate chapter installments on the blogclan wiki blog, or on Blogger. It’s totally fine if you say no. But thanks for reading.

Oh my gosh Shades your fanfic rocks!!!!!! I’m on Chapter 25, I think? I am absolutely engrossed, + if I leave it for two long and/or close out of it (Which is the next time I get an email, because I exported it as a pdf and sent it to myself so am reading it through gmail, hope that’s ok, btw) awesome job! Also I was in the Growing Flames doc earlier and I saw you there! <3 I'd still prefer it if you put it on the wiki blog though because then I could reread it whenever and not worry about all the scrolling and whatnot that comes with pdf'S 😛 hehehe thank you for all your hard work!!!!
