The internet is a storm of URLs, wi-fi and strings of dangerous code, whirling and thundering. Out in the wilderness you can only survive so long unaided, but in here, behind the mellow yellow windows, a safe and comforting place awaits. This place is a respite from the internet; the fire crackles invitingly and alluring rainbow-coloured drinks are poured into glasses. Exciting chatter fills the rooms from tables bustling with friends, eating from trays of warm, rustic carum bread and hearty stews. Gentle music comes from the band in the background.

Come in, chat away, have a great time! The old location may have been overrun by the Codekind, but this new building has three-meter thick walls, three floors and turret bedrooms to rest in at the top! We’ve returned, free from the battles of the secret pages! A safe micro-community of equality and no judgement. Hang up your HTML-reflective suit at the door and settle in with a drink and a meal.
Notice Board: Free candy in the bowl on the counter! What types of candy are there? Yes.
“Thanks.” Fawnpaw winced as she took the herbs from Shadowedpaw with her uninjured hand and ate them. “I’m here, although I’m not uninjured.” Fawnpaw raised the uninjured hand and waved it around. “But I’ll be fine. Just need something to wrap this nuisance up in.” She pointed at her now broken wrist and smiled halfheartedly. “Shall we head..” Fawnpaw (k just gonna be Fawny now) trailed off as she noticed the figure Iris had started talking to. She walked towards it, flinching in pain from her injured wrist. “Are you okay?” She asked the girl, but she heard no answer.
(We can have ocs in this, right?)
Brightwing looked confused. She followed Fawny towards Irismist and Blue.
“Blue? How did you get here? Is there another secret tunnel leading here? Where did you come from?” She started to panic. “If Blue can get down here from another route, then so can others! Like…the Codekind! They could invade from under the Hazelpage and we’d never see them coming!” Her eyes grew huge in fear.
“What in the world is going on?” Dawn said as she followed Brightwing.
(but seriously, what is going on? 😛 )
“Shh.” She placed a startling cold hand on Bright’s shoulder. “It doesn’t look like anyone has been here before. No disrupted debris, no trace of footprints, or life, really.” She soothed, narrowing her eyes. “If the codekind end up using this route,” she inhaled. “We’d be here first.”
” There are quite a few of us down here.” Iris reasoned, “What if half of us go upstairs to see what is going on, and we can help people if we need to. The others can look for the Codekind, or prevent them from leaving or coming up.” Seeing the look on some other faces, she hastily added,” If they’re actually up there.”
Brightwing nodded at Peto’s sensible words. They made sense, and she let out the breath she hadn’t realized she’d been holding, but still looked a little uneasy.
“Good idea Iris,” she added cheerfully, once Iris mentioned her thoughts, “could I maybe go back upstairs?”
She looked at the others hopefully.
“I’ll go with you” Irismist offered instantaneously (I can’t believe that’s a word 😛 ) Turing around in her place to look at everyone else, she asked, “Any other takers?”
“I’ll stay down,” Fawny flinched as she breathed shallowly. “I’ll live, it’s just my wrist after all. It’s not even my dominant hand. Besides, I’ve done research in the code kind and absorbed the very little there is about them on the Internet,” Fawny shrugged and flinched again
Blue glared at Brightwing. “I was already down here.” She hissed. “I just hit my head on the way down and was unconscious for a while.”
(This is my excuse for why I didn’t comment while I was out of town)
(Smart 😉 😛 )
(yas blue 😛 )
“I’d like to stay and explore.” Flowerpaw declared, glancing at the others for approval.
“Sure.” Iris agreed, but her mind was troubled. If they were going to confront the Codekind, they would need more than two people. (I meant to italicize the “were”, but unforunatly, I don’t know how to italicize!)
“I’ll come with you.” Shadowedpaw said.
Blue glance around and rolled her eyes. “Okay. Where are we? What is our plan? Who is going where? Who is doing what?” She demanded.
Hiya peepes
Heya Iris
OMSC! I did not say that! My brother sneaked onto my computer and wrote that 🙁 (He’s been trying to make a fool of me on this site since I joined!) Not that I don’t want to say hi to everyone, but if I was going to write that I would at least spell it without the extra e. *Rolls eyes and throws pillow at brother as he walks by* But anyway…
Hi Flo! 😀
(welp it be dead)
*sighs*
(welp lets revive maybe? 😛 )
Fawny shook off her wrist, now feeling uninjured. “Well, I’m fine now. I’m gonna go explore.” And Fawny walked off, into a dark tunnel, with no torch. Suddenly, a dark, heavy figure pinned her down, and her breathing was shallow.
Flowerpaw followed silently, but halted in alarm as she saw her get knocked down. She let out a gasp of horror before quickly reacting, springing at the attacker and digging her nail into their shoulders.
Rolling her eyes as no one answered her questions, Blue followed the reckless Fawny. Seeing them tussling with someone, she threw herself into the fight, knocking the huge figure down, and pinning them down.
Brightwing, Iris and Shadowedpaw made their way up to the Hazelpage in complete darkness without Lion’s Pumpkin. As they got nearer to the trapdoor, Brightwing thought she heard a muffled scream from above. She froze and glanced up instinctively.
“Um guys, did anyone else hear that? I think something’s happening up there.”
She looked anxiously back from the way they had come, as if wondering maybe the safest place was to stay underneath any drama that might be happening.
“We have to check it out, and see if we can help!” Iris quietly urged Brightwing, noticing her hesitance.
Shadowedpaw stifled a scream as she saw Blue, Peto, and Fawnpaw tussling with an impossibly large figure. Her hands gripped the knife on her belt as she stealthily approached from behind.
Hazelspots stepped into the Hazelpage, comforted by the many sounds surrounding her.
“It’s like a tavern but quieter,” she mumbled as she sat down and demanded a root beer from the bartender.
Emberdawn slid behind the counter, sticking her tongue out at Iceflower as she claimed a customer. Moments later, a mug of root beer was placed down in front of her. “Don’t think I’ve seen you around here before,” she commented, starting to stereo-typically clean some glasses.
Softpaw (sorry, but Softpaw can’t come to the phone right now. Why? Oh. Cause she’s dead[well apparently not].😛) cheerfully skipped up to the counter. “Hi! I’m new here! Everyone looks so friendly! What’s going on? Can I have orange juice?” She squealed excitedly, words tumbling excitedly from her mouth way to quickly.
Emberdawn snagged a glass from the rack behind her and set it down before Softpaw. Reaching under the counter to the orange juice pitcher, pouring the citrus drink into the glass. “So, you made it through the URL forest?” She asked, after returning the pitcher to its rightful place.
Iceshard slid into the tavern with a big grin painting his face. “I’m BAAACCCKKK!!!” he hollared, disturbing everyone’s peaceful atmosphere.
The tavern door swung open to reveal a shadowy figure, cloaked in midnight blue. The figure paused, surveying the tavern, and hesitantly took a few steps inside. Everything’s so different… will I be welcomed back? She took a deep breath. One way to find out.
The figure threw back the hood of her cloak to reveal a familiar to many smiling face. “I’m baaaaaack!” Wavesplash squealed.
(again sorry for not being here haha I know I posted this about a month ago but I got swept up in vacation stuff so I’m just gonna repost this and hopefully I can stick with it now even though December is gonna be pretty busy 😛 )
Brightwing blinked as she, Iris and Shadowedpaw finally reached the Hazelpage again. The scream she had heard was from Wavesplash, making her way back into the friendly Hazelpage and Iceshard was already settling down, chatting to old friends. Brightwing let out a sigh of relief. There was nothing to be worried about.
She noticed two new people sitting at the front of the bar sipping root beer and orange juice while being welcomed by a friendly Emberdawn. I should probably go say hi she thought.
Brightwing was just about to make her way up to them, when she remembered Iris and Shadowedpaw. She looked round in confusion. Iris had disappeared and Shadowedpaw had a knife out and looked like she was going to stab someone! She was coming up behind Blue, Peto and Fawnpaw stealthily. What is she doing? Then she realized.
“Shadowedpaw! STOP!!!” Brightwing screamed. “No one is attacking them, they’re just trying to put up a massive Christmas tree!”
Emberdawn was over in a flash, grabbing Shadowedpaw’s arm. “The Hazelpage is a haven, not a murder scene,” she said coldly.
