“Nobody will stop you from creating. Do it tonight. Do it tomorrow. That is the way to make your soul grow – whether there is a market for it or not! The kick of creation is the act of creating, not anything that happens afterward. I would tell all of you watching this screen: Before you go to bed, write a four line poem. Make it as good as you can. Don’t show it to anybody. Put it where nobody will find it. And you will discover that you have your reward.” Kurt Vonnegut

  • Chapter 7
Gustpelt rolled off Sundapple, who was lying on her back, and allowed the rest of the Clan to attack.
He heard the sound of Sundapple’s faint voice hissing, “Gustpelt! You’re my brother!” “Not anymore!” he hissed back. “Fireclaw?” Sundapple whimpered. Fireclaw, a fiery ginger tom shoved his way through his Clan. “No,” he snarled. “No. After what you did, I disclaim you as my daughter.” He drew his claws through her ear, making a large nick in it. More cats piled on top of her, two elders, six warriors, three apprentices, and Bearsong ripped open her side and underbelly. There was a rather large puddle of blood, almost surrounding Sundapple, and more blood spilled into it as more wounds were made. Bearsong and Goldfur began ripping open her shoulder. Redfang and Darkwing held back. Bearsong clawed a gauge in it, and plunged his snout into it. Biting and biting, he could taste a lot of blood in his mouth. He pulled it out and found another weak area to attack. He ripped and tore with his long claws in her side, then stepped back to let Reedfoot in. “Every Clan cat, step back to let Reedfoot attack!” Ghoststar yowled. They all made stepped aside for the tom, then blocked them in. Sundapple made a huge effort to stand as Reedfoot prowled closer. Sundapple’s side heaved as she breathed, rather heavily, and just as they were least expecting it, she burst between several of her Clanmates and ran for her life.
“DON’T LET HER GET AWAY! DON’T LET HER!” Ghoststar screamed. “NO! DON’T KILL HER! DON’T KILL HER!” Darkwing shrieked, but her voice was drowned out by the pounding of paws chasing after her.
There was a river near their camp, and Sundapple had apparently tried to follow it. The Clan followed her pawprints along the slippery bank. Bearsong’s eye was caught by a patch of red in the river. An orange head bobbed to the surface and Bearsong shouted, “THERE!” The Clan saw where he was looking and several cats leaped across the river. They followed her along the bank and began swiping their paws through the water as if they were fishing. “I GOT HER!” shouted Reedfoot, his claws firmly dug in Sundapple’s scruff. Bearsong, who was next to him, sank his fangs into her scruff, felt Reedfoot take his claws out, and gave her to him. Snarling, Bearsong slashed her other ear, tearing part of it off. Reedfoot hauled her out of the water and hung her scruff on a root sticking out of a small, very low rocky ledge. Sundapple pawed frantically at the root, trying to dislodge her scruff, but it was stuck. Her hind legs were about an inch from the ground, but she couldn’t get down. Four more cats jumped up and could have pulled her down, but she was just slashed more. There was already a large puddle of blood, and there was a huge splotch of red in the nearby river. Ghoststar nudged Reedfoot. Bearsong, who was still standing next to him, stepped away as Ghoststar began to speak. “You may deal the killing blow.”
Reedfoot seemed to actually notice that Bearsong was there. “Can he do it with me?” he asked Ghoststar. Ghoststar nodded. Bearsong looked gratefully at Reedfoot. Reedfoot gave him a look that clearly read ‘I need a friend’. Sundapple gasped. “Reedfoot, no!”
As Reedfoot leaped into the air, Sundapple cried to her friend, “I’ll see you in StarClan, Darkwing!”
“NO!” Darkwing shrieked, launching herself at Reedfoot. But it was too late.
Reedfoot drew his claws through her throat, slicing it deep. Bearsong slashed open her chest, warm blood flowing over his paws.
“SHE’S DEAD!” Ghoststar yowled approvingly. Bearsong looked around. Darkwing was lying, all by herself, on the clearing where they had fought. Bearsong looked at the moon, now in crescent shape, then back at Darkwing. He padded toward her. “What is it?” Reedfoot called after him. Bearsong beckoned for him to come with him. Reedfoot speedily walked toward his new friend. “Darkwing,” he whispered to Reedfoot. “What’s wrong with my sister?” “She’s your sister?” “Well, yeah.”
“Go away,” Darkwing murmured as they approached. “Darkwing, what is it?” “YOU KILLED MY FRIEND!” Bearsong and Reedfoot exchanged worried glances. “Well, I could have died. Do want me or Sundapple dead?” Reedfoot whispered. He immediately knew he should not have said that. Darkwing stood bolt upright and whipped around, only a whisker from Reedfoot’s nose. “I would have wanted YOU dead, now that I know how much you care about me. One of these days, I’ll avenge her death, and kill you,” Darkwing snarled, with such a menacing look on her face that Bearsong thought she might kill him with a quick blow, right then and there. “That day might be now.” She unexpectedly lashed out with a paw and reopened the gash in his side. He yowled in pain and fear.
    “DARKWING’S ATTACKING REEDFOOT!”
All three of them turned around and saw the yellow eyes of Skycrash glaring at them through the undergrowth. She crept toward them.
“I’ve got you now,” she hissed. “You can’t get away from me anymore.”

    Chapter 19

Syruppaw sorted herbs in the sweet-scented medicine den. Her orange tabby fur was shadowed by the dark room, it REALLY needed more room for light to get in at Leaf-bare. She sighed and her hazel-blue eyes went away from the herbs but laid on her crippled tail and leg. Her thick fur kept her warm, sort of. She had now been training for a whole Leaf-fall and now it was Leaf-bare. Her tail and leg hurt. But she couldn’t do anything. Herbs were low and her mentors were out looking for more. No luck. As usual. We aren’t going to be finding anything in this freezing state! She growled in her mind. She decided to go to the cats with greencough. She grabbed some catmint in her jaws and went outside in the cold weather.

Silverwind, Mistpaw, Dragonmist, Mistleheart, and Flowerstream’s new kit Darkkit sat in the snow, coughing. Syruppaw counted her leaves of catmint. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5…, 11. Somecat will have to only get one. She worried, they might fight, and these were the only leaves left! And Kat and Winterbreeze definitely wouldn’t be able to find anymore. She calmed down and spoke, “These are the only leaves I have left in the den. They are most likely going to be the last ones you’ll get for a while, as these plants are hard to find here without getting to close to twoleg place, which is very far away. Somecat will have to step back from eating as much herbs.” A wispy voice rose from the crowd,

    “I will”

It was Silverwind that spoke. The silver, elderly she-cat stood up and took only one leaf from the pile. Syruppaw nodded a little bit, skeptical about having the old cat not have as much. She let the rest of the cats take two leaves from her pile of Catmint. She slowly padded away from the cats, glancing over her shoulder one more time to look at Silverwind,

She went back to the medicine den and sorted herbs, bored. At least she found pieces of Yarrow in the Willow pile. That would’ve been a problem, I guess. Syruppaw thought she glanced outside again to see Greypaw, sitting alone, staring at the medicine den with sorrow. Syruppaw padded out and up to.

“What do you want?” Hissed Greypaw, unsheathing her claws. Syruppaw lied down next to the tabby.

“I get you want to be a medicine cat. And hate that I took your place because of injuries. I sometimes wish we could swap places too. But we can’t, and I’ve gotten over it. But I can see that you haven’t. You don’t always get what you want in life, but, if something happens to Kat or Winterbreeze I can beg the other one for you to be our apprentice, if you want.” Syruppaw mewed. Greypaw looked suprised.

“Really?” She whispered, her voice cracking with, suprise, hope, and joy.

“Yeah, why not? You’re my friend.” Syruppaw purred. Greypaw smiled.

“Thanks, I’ll remember that.” Greypaw meowed. She got up and dragged over a scrawny squirrel. “We can share if you have time,” She mewed, her eyes lit up with hope.

“Of course.” Syruppaw said, taking a small bite out of the squirrel. She and Greypaw chatted for a while. After a while Greypaw was called for a patrol, and had to go. “Bye,” Mewed Syruppaw.

“Bye” Greypaw called back, leaping after her mentor and Gladestream.

Lupinetail’s fur froze as she stalked a small mouse. Every time she was this close to one, she would let out a breath and it would scare the mouse away. Her spotted fur bristled as she held her breath, eager not to scare her prey away. She pounced quietly and quickly killed the scrawny, grey animal. She hoped Laurelpaw, the other part of her hunting patrol, was having better luck and hadn’t just caught one single mouse like her. It would really only feed a kit! At least Flowerstream had Darkkit and Streamkit. Maybe they would each have a mouse if Lupinetail caught another one. She sniffed the air to scent another mouse nearby.

Lupinetail dropped into a hunting crouch when she finally saw the mouse she was looking for. I could have a rabbit or two by now. It was oh I don’t know 10 FOX-LENGTHS AWAY She hissed to herself. It took her so long just to find one stupid mouse. She pounced on it and killed it so she could get the thing over with already.

“LAURELPAW! IT’S TIME TO GO BACK! I BET YOUR MENTOR IS WAITING FOR YOU!” She yowled. Laurelpaw came running over with a rabbit and a fish. The two took their catches back to camp.

“Not much luck” Lupinetail meowed sadly to Jayfrost. The brown she-cat nodded and let the two rest from hunting.

“YoutubeClan!” Kat yowled appearing in camp, Winterbreeze close behind her. The fowl YoutubeClan cats came charging in after them, growling and hissing.

A ginger-and-silver she-cat ran up to Emberfang and Maplepool. “You two….., are the kits………, that took my brother’s life!” She hissed.

“He was trying to kill our mother! And that was a long time ago, we’re warriors now and Maplepool has kits that are apprentices! I will protect her at the cost of my life.” Emberfang growled.

“He took my leg so that it barely works anymore!” Maplepool snarled.

“Say goodbye to your kits now. You’re gonna pay.” The she-cat hissed and lunged at Maplepool. Maplepool shrieked in pain as the she-cat bit her and scratched her. Emberfang threw the she-cat off his sister.

“Run!” He mewed and the sibling raced off. The she-cat growled and tried to find them.

Kat’s eyes widened as she saw a certain white splashed tom coming toward her. “Screechingbreeze?” She mewed, scared. The black tom turned his glare to her, his gaze softened a little.

“Kat?!” He hissed. “Where are our kits? I don’t want to hurt them. Sweetkit and….Winterkit, right?” He meowed.

Kat’s heart was pierced as she heard her dead daughter’s name. “Sweet-Sweetkit is dead! She didn’t get enough milk when I had time to nurse them and she died! She was a brown she-kit with black points. If something happens to you today and you go to StarClan, which I hope won’t happen, find her, be a father to her, and love her, tell her I love and miss her.” SHe wailed.

“A-and WInterkit?” Screechingbreeze asked, sad to learn his daughter died.

“He is Winterbreeze now. A medicine cat, like me. He looks like you, he is white with black splotches. You’ll be able to tell he’s our-“Kat broke off to see the very cat she was talking about between her and Screechingbreeze.

“So YOU were my parents the whole time?!” He growled. Kat looked horrified. “I guess now I’m just like Jayfeather. I’m half-clan with my stupid, MEDICINE CAT MOM AS A MENTOR!” He hissed, his fur puffing out. Kat squeaked in fear. “Maybe I shouldn’t have wondered who my parents were.” He murmured and stalked away.

    ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The battle had been going on until dark. Finally, Shriekstar yowled, “YOUTUBECLAN RETREAT!” Cats’ wounds had been worse than ever. Blood was splattered everywhere on Maplepool’s pelt, Sunpaw’s golden fur was drenched with red, Crystalpaw’s one whole side of her face was covered in blood.

Kat had Syruppaw treat wounds while Kat treated the cats that were REALLY damaged. She spotted a cat on their side, a faint rise and fall was the only sign of them being alive. “Winterbreeze!” SHe shrieked scrambling over to her son, curling around him, she licked his wounds. He was coughing up blood.

“WInterbreeze-I don’t want to lose you like I did your sister, please don’t go….” She cried. WInterbreeze’s eyes were opening a little.

“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have yelled at you and Screechingbreeze. I shouldn’t have let the cats maul me to death like this, I’ll keep Sweetkit safe in StarClan,” He whispered, with the last of his strength. He put his head back down and closed his eyes. One last breath came from him, and he was gone.

“NO! Not my son! You took Sweetkit, and now Winterbreeze, WHY STARCLAN!” She cried in grief, Kat curled around Winterbreeze’s body, slowly growing cold.

    “Winterbreeze- Is—– Gone?” Maplesky asked.

“Goodbye, mentor.” Syruppaw mewed and bowed her head.

“May StarClan light your path-Winter” Stormy Sea meowed.

The clan grieved for Winterbreeze’s death for a little bit. Everyone except Kat had gone back to their duties. Though, she decided it was time to. “Syruppaw! I’m going to look for herbs.” She mewed to her apprentice. Syruppaw nodded an okay and went back to sorting herbs.

“All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather around for a clan meeting!” Cakestar yowled from the high-logs. THe clan gathered around their leader, curious to see what was going to go on. “Today I bring you five new warriors and a medicine cat.” Cakestar mewed. “Sunpaw, Greypaw, Oceanpaw, Dapple Shell, and Stormy Night, do you take the responsibilities of a warrior and promise to uphold the life of a warrior following the warrior code?” Cakestar asked.

“I do.” Each cat purred excitedly.

“Then from this day forward, you’ll be known as Suntuft, Greywillow, Oceandew, Dapple Shell, and Stormy Night. Kat, you may now have a ceremony for Syruppaw.” Cakestar meowed. Kat hopped up onto the high-logs with Syruppaw.

“Syruppaw, do you promise to live the life as healer of the clan, and to follow the medicine cat code?” Kat asked.

“I do.” Syruppaw answered, waiting for her new name.

“Then from this moment on you’ll be known as Syrupwing, in honor of your former mentor Brightwing, and what she could teach you before your accident.” Kat purred.

“SYRUPWING! SUNTUFT! GREYWILLOW! OCEANDEW! DAPPLE SHELL! STORMY NIGHT!” The clan cheered.

Darkness could only surround Hollyleaf. She had given up her life for Ivypool. She had finally felt like she did something right. Was she going to the Dark Forest or StarClan? It was pitch black, so she couldn’t tell where she was.
“Oh, StarClan……,” Hollyleaf whispered. Finally, a dusky brown she-cat stood in front of her. She looked so young. Her muscles rippled with energy. Hollyleaf could barely recognize her!
“Mousefur?” Hollyleaf exclaimed. Mousefur turned to face her. Her blue eyes showed hope instead of her normal grouchiness.
“Well, that is indeed Hollyleaf! Have you seen Longtail ’round?” Mousefur whispered. Hollyleaf flicked her tail in surprise. Was she looking for her late friend? Hollyleaf felt bad that she wasn’t in ThunderClan when he died. Hollyleaf remembered the blind elder. From stories Firestar told, he was friends with Tigerstar. Becoming blind must have changed him.

“Where is StarClan?” a new voice announced Applefur’s arrival. The sleek mottled brown she-cat looked frightened as she shuffled to the two she-cats.
“Applefur? How in the name of StarClan did you die?” Mousefur questioned with eyes narrowed. Applefur looked slightly guilty. Did that mean that Applefur had been apprenticed by the Dark Forest? No! Not nice and quiet Applefur!
“I decided where my loyalties really lie and got myself killed defending Blackstar. Thistleclaw killed me for fighting for the right side,” Applefur admitted. Her green eyes grew dark as if horrifying memories had clouded her vision. Hollyleaf nodded. She knew what it was like having her loyalty questioned. Mousefur had been loyal to ThunderClan her whole life. She could never understand.

“Oh and……a ginger and white tom was looking for you, Hollyleaf,” Applefur whispered. Hollyleaf’s pelt burned. Fallen Leaves! Had he seen her dead? Would she even see him again? Hollyleaf gritted her teeth. Mousefur twitched her ears in suspicion.
    “Thanks, Applefur,” Hollyleaf mumbled.
“Anyone know how to get out of the darkness? My eyes haven’t adjusted yet and I am young again!” Mousefur growled. Hollyleaf knew what it was like to see darkness from her time in the tunnels. She hoped that she would see the tom, but giving her life was worth it. Hollyleaf closed her eyes. She had remembered every strand of fur on him.

“Come with me!” A orange tabby and white she-cat slipped out into view. Her eyes glimmered when she saw Hollyleaf. She resembled Fallen Leaves a bit. Was she related to him?
“And who are you?” Mousefur challenged. Hollyleaf rolled her eyes and stepped forward to get a better view of the she-cat.
“I am Broken Shadow. You will get out of here when the battle is over,” Broken Shadow meowed. Hollyleaf couldn’t help to ask if she knew Fallen Leaves. Her paws shifted uneasily. What would she say if she met him?
“I am H-Hollyleaf! Uh…..do you know about a tom named….Fallen Leaves?” Hollyleaf stammered. What happened? Hollyleaf was the calm and collected one! Broken Shadow grinned before flicking her tail to a narrow path. Light gray mist began to filter in the air Hollyleaf saw a ginger and white tom run to her. Fallen Leaves! Hollyleaf gasped and ran to her old friend. She rubbed him as he licked her ear.
“It’s been too long!” He whispered.
“I know!” Hollyleaf meowed. Fallen Leaves looked at Mousefur and Applefur before meowing on and on about how lonely the tunnels were. Hollyleaf couldn’t believe how happy he was to see her.
“I missed you so much,” Hollyleaf confessed.
“Hollyleaf, who is this?” Mousefur growled while padding in between the two. Hollyleaf forgot! She hadn’t told the Clan about Fallen Leaves. Fallen Leaves glanced at Hollyleaf before watching Mousefur put on her “I didn’t know about this and why don’t I know about this” face.
“I met Fallen Leaves in the tunnels!” Hollyleaf explained.
Mousefur leaned over to Hollyleaf and whispered into her ear,” Be careful, youngster. The last tom I remotely cared about got squished by a tree!” Hollyleaf struggled not to purr. StarClan wouldn’t be bad at all.

    • AWESOME! lol That “I didn’t know about this and why don’t I know about this” face. And “the last tom I remotely cared about got squished by a tree!” 😛 Broken Shadow is Fallen Leaves’ mother right? I have a bad memory.

  • Tigerstar’s Weakness Part Two By Maplekit

Original By Honeypaw (Don’t worry I asked for her permission, I’m not stealing or copying)

Tigerstar’s heart secretly ached after he killed his mother, he knew he shouldn’t have, but he did. His sisters were right, he was a monster… But now he could do nothing about it, and Leopardfoot was gone, really gone. As he should be.

He decided to get up and make sure no StarClan cats tried to cross the border again. He didn’t want to have to kill another member of his family, he still secretly cared. He watched as the white eerie light that was the border rose even more, two cats walked in, bigger than they should be, a grey she-cat and a black she-cat. Nightkit and Mistkit. But they looked different now, they looked like full grown, young she-cats.

“Nightkit, Mistkit, what are you doing here?” TIgerstar growled to his sisters. He personally didn’t want to kill him, but he knew if other cats saw, they were doomed.

“We’re not Nightkit and Mistkit anymore, ever since we told StarClan about Leopardfoot dying they made us full grown cats and gave us warrior names. Nightwhisper and Mistspirit. Medicine cat and deputy under the leadership of Silverpelt herself. We are the official deputy and medicine cat of StarClan, the dead are warriors, queens, apprentices, or kits.” Nightwhisper explained, her black pelt blended in with the dark forest, her green eyes were all you could see.

“I am medicine cat,” Mistspirit added, her fur bristled in anger as she spoke to her killer brother. “We’re here to stop you, you’ve done enough damage to this place, as well as ThunderClan and ShadowClan.” She mewed.

“And? How? Chase me around like little kits, I’m not TIgerkit anymore, I’m Tigerstar.” Tigerstar growled in a challenging tone, wondering what they were going to do next. They wouldn’t hurt their own brother, right?

“We’ll kill you.” Nightwhisper hissed. Tigerstar’s eyes widened, he stepped back in fear.

“You wouldn’t hurt your own brother.” Tigerstar meowed.

“As you wouldn’t hurt your own mom! But you killed her! Wiped her from existence, like you should’e been long ago!” Mistspirit, her dull blue eyes showed anger. She unsheathed her claws and slashed TIgerstar’s scarred muzzled. He yowled in pain.

“StarClan does what they have to do!” Mistspirit warned.

“Why! I didn’t want to kill her! They forced me!” Tigerstar cried, his weakness grew stronger. He didn’t dare to unsheathe his long, black, claws, this was what he deserved, and he knew it.

“Your their leader, you could of said no and chased us out, they couldn’t have done anything, if so you could chase them out. You did it because you wanted to prove yourself, but all you got from it was one weakness-Guilt.” Nightwhisper mewed, scratching her long claws over Tigerstar’s eye. Tigerstar yowled in more pain from their blows, but he knew this is what he should get.

Finally, Mistspirit held down his chest, her claws fastened on so she didn’t lose grip. “This is revenge.” She mewed. Nightwhisper shot her teeth through Tigerstar’s neck.

TIgerstar’s vision went black. He knew this was his end, his demise, his much deserved death. His body went limp, and he faded away. He was gone.

“You won’t hurt any cat ever again, brother.” Nightwhisper whispered and she and Mistspirit crossed the border back to their home, StarClan.

  • I’m bored so this is a short little drabble.I can’t turn it into a story but it is good for this:

My vision faded.Everything was getting harder to see, harder to hear.I heard him yell my name.I saw her fall.I saw blood dripping from his jaws.I saw the cat at his feet.He looked at Me,then whispered.I could barely hear him now.But I heard one word: “Hope.”
    ———————————————————————————————————————————————————–
The metallic taste in my mouth made me want to gag,but I felt like stone. It took me a moment to register what the taste was,but I know it was blood.I felt like I would be sick,my head pounding.I could feel him above me.His claws were soaked with blood,as was his muzzle.I could see horror in his eyes. Those eyes had seen terror beyond anything I could ever imagine. He opened his bloodstained jaws.

“Have hope.”he whispered. My ears roared.I can’t believe I was still alive.I tried to sit up,but heavy pain held me down.

“Riverlight,”I croaked. The battle had been poorly timed. My pelt rippled with pain and fear.“Get…”Before I could say another word,I fell, spinning into darkness.I fought for breath. His tail curled around Me as he yowled the medicine cat’s name.

He didn’t leave me.Not after the battle, after the fight, after the pain.My stomach flopped and once again I felt I would be sick.

The medicine cat was pacing.I knew that wasn’t good.I groaned, agony weighing down on Me.Then it was over. The pain faded.I blinked, trying to get past the pounding of blood in my ears.I could feel blood around my paws.I could feel him over Me.

“Snowfall, please.”he murmured, pressing his fur into mine.I moaned as another spasm of pain gripped me.Why did the battle have to be tonight? Why now?

The medicine cat grabbed his herbs, but I was in too much pain to swallow them.I squirmed and heard a tiny sound. My heart stopped.

    The first kit.

But the sound was not the new of a newborn kit.It was full of pain.I turned to the tiny bundle of fur, trying to pull myself to my paws. The kit was the tiniest thing I’d ever seen. It’s fur was matted with blood.

I yelped and my legs buckled and I fell once more, colors floating before my eyes.I heard another mew, felt a squirm.

Then I took a breath. It was over.I sighed in relief, then froze once again as I saw my kits. One of them wasn’t moving. My paws wouldn’t work.I sat there, and he was beside me.

    “Snowfall,”he whispered,though I wasn’t listening,“Snowfall,it will be alright.”

How?Those ShadowClan fox-hearts did this.THEY attacked the camp.THEY killed my sister.THEY did this. Now one of my tiny kits would never open her eyes.My vision blurted with tears. They would pay.

  • Another little drabble.

She’s coming.I can feel her.My pelt Pringles as I run,my legs stretching farther with each bound.I can’t stop.I can nearly smell the end of the trail, but she’s too close behind Me.

Slowly,I hear her call my name.“Turn back!” I yowl.I am the one fleeing, not her.I am the one forced out.Why should she journey with Me?I can’t do this to her.“Go!”

“no!”She protests, and I hear her paws pound harder;leaves rustle under her steps.

I double my pace, rushing.I see sky up ahead. The trees are thinning and the wind is stronger. And I smell the Thunderpath.I jump over the logs in my way and hurry towards the smell. No cat will follow me into two-leg place. No cat.

But she isn’t just another cat.“I told to go!”I hiss.“Please, this isn’t your life!”I can’t believe she still tried to follow me!I hear her ragged breathing as I slow down.

    “Please,let me come!”she yowls,coming around a corner.I wish she could come,too.But I won’t wish this life upon anycat.Especially my best friend.

“No.”I turned to give her one last look before I went towards RiverClan territory.

    “Please,Mapleshade!”she begs of Me.I don’t turn back.

  • YET ANOTHER DRABBLE.I have One Shot fever, someone call a medicine cat.

I watched him go towards the building.I knew he would be happy here, safe. But I can’t believe he was leaving.ThunderClan wouldn’t be the same.As I turned to go,he called “I’ll see you again!”

I just hope and can believe it.
    ———————————————————————————————————————————-
    I watch him turn to go.I watch them both turn.I can’t believe I couldn’t go home.But I wasn’t safe there.

“Goodbye Ravenpaw.”he throws over his shoulder.

“I’ll see you again!”I call. The two figures pad away. It’s not till after than I realize Firepaw didn’t say anything.Graypaw had only said the two words since I got here.

    I’d miss them,and they’d miss Me,I know.But I would see them again,wouldn’t I?

If you couldn’t tell, the first part was Firepaw’s pov.The second was Ravenpaw.

  • This is just getting ridiculous.Too many one shots.

My heart pounded.Coldness flooded through me,then my paws dropped out from under my body.I was spinning, colors fluttering through my head like butterfly wings.I saw stars, bright and glowing.

My brother was there, leading a group.Beside him stood a tall cat.He looked just like Hawkfrost.I took a breath, trying to calm myself.I couldn’t move. Then my brother and the cat led the group forward. There was a flash of silver light. Then my vision blurred, everything running red.

I felt a spinning feeling again, then everything stopped.Slowly I blinked, the silver of the moonstone in my eyes.Leafpaw was beside me.

    “How was it?”

“Amazing!”I squealed like a little kit.“I saw Hawkfrost-“my mentor silenced me with a glare.I lowered my head.Besides,it was just a dream. But something inside me made me feel uneasy.

No matter how much I knew it couldn’t be real, something made me wary.

Another really short one.If you can’t tell, this one is Mothwing.

  • BlogClan’s Expedition
    Chapter One

Lupinepaw snorted as she spotted a small, scrawny squirrel. Hmph! I’ve been brainsmacked six times, now for the seventh time by this? Bah. Lupinepaw crouched, but then her stomach made a loud, rumbling noise that the squirrel became alert and ran away. Ack. I just hope that squirrel gets super plump and then runs into my paws. Impossible, though.

Rubbing her nose, Lupinepaw rolled her eyes as a leaf landed on her head from one of the dead trees. Will BlogClan ever move? Cakestar hinted it before. Many of us are starving. Leaf-bare is harsh, and the camp is extremely crowded. A low yowl, which seemed to have been a loud yowl from the camp, interrupted her thoughts. Must be a meeting.

Picking up the old and thin mouse she had, Lupinepaw sprinted through the dying forest until she spotted Cakestar, who was sitting on the tall boulder, with Jayfrost, Kat, and Winterpaw nearby. Sitting on a small slope, Lupinepaw glanced down where many, many cats were gathered. At least this slope exists, if not, I’d throw myself at the river, whether it is ice-cold or flame-hot…

Once the last of the members of BlogClan came, Cakestar began, “It has been decided. We will leave our camp behind. Tomorrow, we shall journey to find a new place where we all could settle in peace, since the prey in the forest had fallen.

Murmurs of shock and excitement swept through the camp. Cakestar contuined, “Warriors may hunt before the expedition. The meeting is at an end.” Cakestar leapt down, landing on the ground gracefully, and she nodded to Jayfrost, who began to organize the patrols.

“Mapleheart, I’d like you to lead a hunting patrol. Take Cloverpetal, Dragonmist, Maplepaw, and Rainbowpaw. Hazelburrow, you lead another patrol. Take Eagleclaw, Airwave, Icepaw, and Wavepaw. Brightwing, you may lead the border patrol. Take Mossball, Iceflower, Darkpaw, and Emberpaw.” The patrols begun to leave.

The sun was setting, ending the final day of the camp. Transparent stars began to become visible, dappling the sky slightly. Now I have to go lazy around and sleep!

Bah. I wanted it to be a one shot but I also wanted it to have a small amount of chapters, so basically like a novella, but probably with slightly more / less chapters. Kept on thinking if I should do a story about BlogClan’s journey to this camp, even though it had been about a month already… I’ve also made every kit in BlogClan an apprentice because I’m horrible at thinking when the kits should make an appearance… just gonna add more members of BlogClan as chapters go by if I don’t abandon this.

  • Before you read, I recommend reading Chapter 2 definitely before this chapter. It’s crucial to the story. And the others if you haven’t yet, or if you just want to again. Here is the link to the chapters on the wiki: http://blogclan-2.wikia.com/wiki/The_Thunderclan_Eight

    Now. Here you go….

    THE THUNDERCLAN EIGHT

    BY WINTERPAW

    CHAPTER 4

    HOLLYTUFT

Danger filled the sky like a choking mist, blotting out any happiness or fresh air. Hollytuft watched the patrol race off, through the entrance and into the swaying trees. Why wasn’t she with them? The Clan? Oh horse honkey!

It was scary, the random fight that just sprung up. The patrol was out there to investigate, not lead an attack. Were they okay? Maybe Hollytuft could help them…

She needed to help her Clan. She needed to help her Clan. She did.

Repeated, inside her mind. Hollytuft padded closer to the entrance and looked out blankly. What was going on? Under attack? That little shrivelhead tom Alderpaw…came rushing in all huffy and puffy, scared out of his mind. He just yelled at them all that the group at the edge of the territory–Blossomfall, Berrygrump and others–were under attack and injured, with little to no chance of fighting back on their own.

Squirrelflight, Dovewing, Brackenfur, Snowbush and Ivypool all set off right away. Fernsong tagged along, and Hollytuft had seen that look. She noticed.

Alderpaw and him. Sad eyes. Worry. Fear. They shared something, or something had just happened. Hmm… There was something definitely there.

    But what was going on…?

Hollytuft, as usual, had to inspect. Turning away from the entrance, she stared around the camp for the stuttery Tom. Most Warriors were out and padding around, some debating and worrying, others casting confused glances. Bramblestar had just returned now, and was being explained of the situation by several eccentric kits and Lilyheart. Cloudtail and Brightheart, her parents, were speaking to her sister. She never spoke to them much. They all had it heir separate lives, and treated each other like normal Warriors. And…Hollytuft was okay with that?

    Was that a question?

    There.

She broke her thoughts as she spotted the little mouse. In a bush by the apprentices den–wait. In a bush?!

Hollytuft peered closer and started speeding towards him, Alderpaw flicked his head side to side, but he looked surprisingly comfortable…in a bush. Somehow he dodged the poky branches and bright leaves. And he almost looked…comfortable. Well, as comfortable as that small tom could be.

    She bounded up to him.

“AAA!” Alderpaw saw her as she was flung beside the bush, and he burrowed his head into his paws like a snarling dog was attacking.

    PHYSCO WEIRDO FRETTING APPRENTICE!

“Calm down screechy, I’m just here to talk. But firstly, why are you in a bush?” A long gasp escaped her throat. “OH MY GOD. WHAT DO YOU SEE. GHOSTS? TERRORISTS?”

    Alderpaw’s fur bristled. “S-S-stop shouting!”

Hollytuft gave an offended look. “Why don’t you stop SPEAKING LIKE A MOUSE’S CHILD!”

He flattened his ears, and slowly crawled out of the bushes. So…what did you want?”

    “Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.”

“Uhh…” Alderpaw tilted his head in confusion.

Hollytuft thought of what to say. She wanted to know the connection with Alderpaw and Fernsong, but she didn’t want everyone else to hear if Alder admitted something…embarassing. She wanted to know about her brother’s life, so she at least showed SOME care for him. She wasn’t suuuuuch a rude cat. God.

Swiftly, she shoved Alderpaw into the den behind, ignoring his protestant meows as he back-rolled over some nests. “Quiet Kitty!” she hissed.

“Owwww,” Alderpaw groaned as he regained his footing and stood up in front of Hollytuft, eyes closed in pain. The den was darker than outside, and smelled a bit musty, old and gross. Hollytuft frowned.

“Okay. Look. I want to know EVERYTHING about you and Fernsong. I see those looks, and the chemistry, and you two would be soooo cute together. I am totally fine with him being gay. I am not judgemental. So, spill the beans.”

    “What are beans…?”

    “EXPLAIN!”

Alderpaw’s eyes widened in a small bout of fear, and he continued on to explain as he stuttered. “Well…it’s-it’s nothing. We’re friends and we…care about each other. I was just…worried…when he went off t-to fight.”

“TELL ME. HE’S MY BROTHER, AND I HAVE SOME TYPE OF RIGHT OR SOMETHING TO KNOW. GO.”

Hollytuft thought for a moment. I need to get this information. One way or another. I’ll have to pry it out of him…

“WHAT WHAT WHAT WHAT did you do today? Tell me NOW!” Hollytuft tried to make her face look as angry as possibly. Scaring the duckling even worse could possibly help…

“Okay okay… Well. We went for a walk. On the beach…that’s all.”

“AAAHH okay. I knew we it. There’s something there. He likes you! Do you like him?”

There was a silence. Awkwardness. And Alderpaw looked almost like…he just got something revealed. Was he confused?! About what?

    “Y-you can’t like another Tom…”

And that’s where Hollytuft figured it out. Alderpaw grew up believing otherwise, and now that these unexpected feelings hit, he doesn’t to know what to do with them. But I can’t let him go on denying his identity! She sighed.

“You’re wrong, Alderpaw. Cats can love who they want. Tom and she-cat are just words, useless ones, at that. Your heart loves what it loves. And right now, it wants Fernsong. A Tom. And that’s perfectly normal, and you need to know you don’t have to be shy about it. If others don’t accept it, then THEY are the ones with something unusual. Okay…?”

He was stunned. And he should be, a whole new group of information about something completely alien. Loving a boy?! Impossible!!

“I-I never knew you cared about this stuff…you always seemed like just a…a…”

She looked at him, her paws resting on the crackling, dried leaves of the den. “A what? Be honest. I won’t spaz.”

“A…mindless drone of the Clan that was so ditty, useless and bouncy she only cared about how well she looked in front of the others.” Alderpaw shut his mouth quickly.

“WOAH! WOAH. YOU HAVE AN BRUTALLY HONEST AND AWESOME SIDE. USE IT MORE…” They both laughed sharing that moment. She continued meowing, “but you’re right. That sometimes becomes me…and I don’t even want it like that. I’m bubbly, bouncy and weird, but I need to learn that my Clan isn’t the most guarded and godly thing in this forest. And see, that’s where being honest to myself and letting my body tell me what’s right comes in. Take a hint.”

Feeling happy with their conclusion, Hollytuft escaped the den, feeling the urge to give Alderpaw his privacy to develop the new thoughts. It was… A lot. She needed to let him learn. To be unique and true to himself. And how to deal with Fernsong when…

    If….

    He came back.

    ————–

The day dragged on, and most cats were obviously worried for the patrol. No one had returned yet. Had they been fighting all this time?

Hollytuft was now examining a squirrel by the fresh kill pile. She tried to take her mind off everything. Worry gnawed at her easily, like a tick against bare skin.

Eventually happy with the raggedy old choice, she dragged the squirrel over to a spot beside Lilyheart and plopped down. She cleared her throat. “It’s been a bit of a depressing day! I mean, like, we all stopped hunting! We need to keep going! They can handle the situation.” What am I even saying…

Lilyheart glared at her. “Not now, Hollytuft. I know you’re obsessed with traditions an order, but we’re all rightfully worried. My kits are starting to see everything… I don’t want them to be exposed to this type of sadness yet. And Snowbush…”

He had gone with them. Hollytuft remembering them touch noses, Lilyheart with a tear on her cheek, then Snowbush being ripped away into battle, his current whereabouts or safety unknown…

She was right. The poor kits couldn’t know. I always have to ramble. Stupid brain… Why do I think I can say what I want? Besides, not everything has to ALWAYS be the right way… “Just shut up Hollytuft.” She whispered inaudibly to herself.

It truly hurt her to say that. It was like everything she knew had just been disapproved. But if she kept acting like it, she knew, she’d be hated.

    If she wasn’t enough already.

“You’re right. Sorry…” It was a bit challenging to admit…but necessary.

“S’ok dear.” Lilyheart smiled, and the two tied up the jagged ends of the small debate. It was ended, bring a fresh beginning of friendship.

Today would definitely have a happy ending.

Hollytuft bent her head to finish eating her scrawny squirrel, finding she ate much more now.

Which was surprising. She usually paced herself, the same amount each day. She never really knew how skinny it made her. Her mother had gotten very angst you when she said she could see Hollytuft’s ribs. Hollytuft always threw it aside, making it into no big deal. She has to be skinny and lithe to serve her Clan!

But no. That was wrong. Skinny didn’t matter. What mattered was her actions…her heart.

Lilyheart, gobbling up the last of her prey, got to her paws and stretched. “I’ve got to go. The kits will be up and bouncing and energetic soon. It’s so tiring being a mother some days…”

Hollytuft could hear the fatigue in her voice. But also the loads of love in the words kits and mother, and Hollytuft knew Lilyheart was one of the most caring cats there was. Definitely.

And she was right about kits.

They both nodded, and Lilyheart padded away slowly. Hollytuft was alone for hardly a minute before Rosepetal came up, fuming and angry, and started ranting in the second. Hollytuft couldn’t even stop her.

“OH. MY. GODDDD!!! THAT LITTLE…LITTLE RAT, FAT UGLY EVIL STUPID AWFUL UGH. WHY CAN’T HE LEAVE ME ALONE. HE IS NOT HOT, AND I DON’T WANT HIM. CAN’T HE SEE ME AND DEWNOSE? GOD. JEEZ. HECK.” Rosepetal let the fury out, drawing in harsh breaths and letting her fur stand on end. Hollytuft just sat, munching away calmly, almost like a disinterested cow.

It was Spikefur. Obvious. Those two were always babbling and arguing and making scenes. Hollytuft couldn’t help thinking get a den already.

It was obvious there was something between them. Why not embrace it?

Oh right. A stupid love triangle. Dewnose and Rosepetal and Spikefur. Why wouldn’t Spikefur just give up? Always do determined and obnoxious and irritating. Odd enough, he was basically a part of the Clan now. It was normal to have his Great Awful Majesty III prancing around and demanding things. He and Berrynose could get along.

If Berrynose gets back from the fight in one piece…

“Look. Just ignore him, and he’ll go away. Giving him the attention he wants is what makes him follow you around. Hang out with who you want, serve your Clan well, and do your best at whatever you do, and that’s how you can win. Besides, once Dewnose comes back, you guys can show him the business.”

Rosepetal looked almost stunned. Shocked. Why?

“Wow…Hollytuft. I never knew you were that smart or helpful. You’re usually just bat-crap crazy! But this you…I like this you. Good advice. Thanks.”

“Well, I seem to be giving a lot of good advice today. Surprisingly.” Hollytuft lightly chuckled, and Rosepetal smiled. It was nice to have everyone like you. Comforting, and making others smile was like…awesome. “And besides. You and Dewnose are super cuuuuute together EEEEEEEEE!” Hollytuft fangirled.

Rosepetal blushed, or whatever cats’ did, and looked down shyly. “Yeah…well, he’s great. And I can’t wait for him to get back. He’ll have so many stories to tell…..I’m so worried. I’m planning on telling him when he gets back…that I love him. I want a life with him and I know it.”

Hollytuft just felt warmed. They had true love. He thought she was perfect, she thought the same of him. “And you guys have had so much time together. You grew up together, and will be the perfect couple.”

Rosepetal laughed nervously. “Ah…thanks Hollytuft. You’re not as bad as everyone says. We could hangout sometime. Maybe me, you and Lilyheart could have a ladies’ walk.”

Hollytuft nodded. “I would love that.”

Rosepetal gave one last happy look, then got to her paws and started to leave.

And Hollytuft knew she had to change her attitude and actions as soon as possible, if she wanted anyone in the Clan to ever like her.

    ——————

By evening, most of the Clan was in worry for the patrol. Hollytuft had talked to many cats before than, and started to realize even more how much more people enjoyed her when she acted kinder. Less orderly. Less of a perfectionist.

She and e others all lined up before the entrance. Seconds, minutes, hours passed as each member just stared and waited, a gnawing at their mind.

It was like that, all up to when the first sounds were heard.

Pounding paws, heavy panting, scattered voices. In one big rush, a whole cavalry of cats came bursting through the entrance, stumbling into camp with gasps.

    Berrynose, Blossomfall…Sparkpaw! Snowbush!

Hollytuft smiled. They made it! Alderpaw and Lilyheart could be reunited with their loved, and all the others too.

Hollytuft counted each one as they streamed in, instantly rushing up to their friends and family, giving reassuring licks and smiles. Jayfeather and Leafpool rushed over and began to work one by one.

It was over. The long wait, the suspense, the fear. All the battling–it was over.

They were safe. It was a time to cheer. Be filled with joy. Let the moonlight dance along their pelts as they celebrated the survival. Celebrated their lives.

They all had their lives but one.

    Hollytuft counted again. Ivypool, Dovewing…

    “FERNSONG!”

Hollytuft exclaimed and sprung over to her brother, not speaking as she rested her head on his sagging shoulder. She looked past him, hearing his unsteady breathing. He was safe. He wasn’t gone. Safe.

    Thornclaw…Brightheart….

    And then she saw.

Squirrelflight and Brackenfur silenced the whole Clan with their slow steps into the chaos. Heads down, muscles burning, they gently released an object from their shoulders onto the barren, dusty ground. Bramblestar had rushed over and now stared.

    Squirrelflight looked up.

“Bramblestar…W-We all made it… All of us…but Dewnose.” The whisper.

    Then silence.

    Darkness.

No explanation needed. Just the news. Dead.

    Bowed heads.

    Then came the screams.

They pulsed around the camp, sending off eerie shocks filled with depression. A vibrating shaped flung itself through the crowd and tumbled over beside Dewnose frantically.

    Rosepetal.

Hollytuft hung her head and whimpered. Everything was wrong…

And she felt the tears quicken as she realized what today was for them.

Rosepetal and him seeing each other after a few days. It probably felt like forever.

And that’s why Rsoepetal wanted to announce her love for him. She wanted a life for him, and wanted it right when he got back.

They were going to have a family.

    Not anymore.

Rosepetal stared at the body–broken and bruised–while gasping and shaking. She didn’t get air into her system. She didn’t stand still. She was broken completely.

Rosepetal started to shake worse, and the tears already ambled down her soft cheek. A cheek Dewnose would never touch or rest his head against again.

She knelt down slowly, the whole Clan gathering around her to watch in sorrow, and rested her chin on Dewnose’s twisted head in return. Oh Starclan….no…

And Hollytuft watched her look–with pain, loss, and the overwhelming love– at Dewnose’s fading eyes.

Or, eye. A mangled and bloody whole remained where Dewnose’s left eye would have been. Gouged out and thrown away it’s existence was now.

And Rosepetal staring, trying to find any amount of hope in the remaining colorful eye of her only true love. All the time they spent together. Training, helping, growing up with one another.

    Falling in love.

Gone. Right away. Pulled away violently with Dewnose’s scratched form.

It was indescribable how it would feel for her.

“NO! NO STARCLAN NO! PLEASE.” Rosepetal desperately screamed at the sky for a wish.

    But none came.

Rosepetal bent down once more and put her mouth to Dewnose’s scarred forehead. “I love you…” She whispered as she shook and gasped.

She would not recover for too long of a time.

So the Clan stayed, in a group of one, circling the girl and her dead soulmate until the moon reached its peak. Night fell, and morning waited, bring a dreary air that seemed to gather around the bodies of two.

The two split between different worlds.

    ————-

I know. I’m sorry. I had to. Don’t hate me.

Chapter 5 will be in Molewhisker’s POV.

    Recover well 😛

    • Sheesh, dark. XD

Win, Clan cats don’t believe in any sort of gods, just StarClan, the Ancients, the Tribe of Endless Hunting, and Rock/Midnight/Fallen Leaves ^^

  • The Year of Harmony 1: Summer Snowfall
    Chapter One
    POV: Hopkit
    {Magicat= Magician or Magical Cat}
    “Look out!”
The BlizzardClan nursery was at the heart of the Clan camp, where kits had space to play around with their powers, throwing snow and hiding in domes of ice, if their family were skilled magicats, such as Loyaltykit’s, but if they were not as skilled, than all the kits could do is create snow.
The kits had begun to throw snow at one another to pass the time, and a big mound of snow was headed towards Hopkit.
The she-kit created a shield of ice, hoping to block the snow, but all of a sudden, a spark of flames melted the shield of ice.
Loyaltykit, Lilykit, and Lynxkit stared in disbelief at Hopkit. How could you summon fire, their expressions said.
Then, in walked Petalkit, the meanest, most spoiled, snobby kit you could ever meet..
    “I smell smoke.” she announced.
“We saw fire, y’know. Why would there be smoke? The fire melted a shield of ice Hopkit created.” meowed Lynxkit.
“I’m not stoo-pid.” moaned Petalkit, being a brat. Like always.
No kit said a word until the wires connected in Lilykit’s brain.
“The Legend of the Power says that half-Clan cats can have uncontrollable magic of their parent’s Clans, unless it is Clanless and Clan. Say… BloomClan mother and DawnClan father. If the kit lives in BloomClan, spring powers will be dominant, but summer powers-DawnClan heritage-will start coming out as sometimes fatal random bursts of magic when the kit summons the spring magic… and then the spring and summer powers will fuse into a dangerous mix of powers! That is why if you are half-Clan, nobody cares if you get prejudiced, and you will be forced to speak to the Celestial Cats to see which power will truly be yours.” mewed Lilykit.
“The LEGEND of power! Not factual-story of power!” hissed Petalkit.
“Blizzard, Bloom, Leaf, and Dawn contributed to this code!” retorted Lilykit.
“YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWN. I have better things to do than chat with scum without the best magic as mine!” snorted Petalkit.
Is that how Petalkit sees everyone? thought Hopkit.
“Yes,” whispered a voice, and for a moment, Hopkit thought she’d seen a silver cat next to her, misty wisps coming from nearby, but Hopkit disregarded it, like a pointless vision.
Hopkit would eventually realize that Petalkit was half-Clan, and a great crime would occur, caused by Petalkit’s desire for power, and Hopkit would be framed… and after StarClan never showed up at the Pool of Loyalty, Hopkit would run away into the summer snow.

    • Awesome! I love the idea if everyone having powers, not just certain cats, but some cats are still bratty because of it 😛

    • Oh dear, StarClan got mentioned. Just a typo, will be edited on the Wikia. Celestial Cats are the ValleyCat’s ancestors, not StarClan.
