Kate welcomes BlogClan to their new home and Josh reappears to edit this section and remind everyone that he still exists: hello!

Our old camp was getting overcrowded by posts, pages and comments. With over a thousand posts and 200 thousand comments, the place was bursting at the seams. The WordPress platform just couldn’t cope with your fabulous enthusiasm and creativity.

So, in Clan tradition, we have trekked over the mountains to new territory. It has the same important places – a tavern, a hug page, Trailing Stars, chat and all the projects you are currently working on. I have streamlined the site a little and changed the look.

I realise change is never easy and you might feel disorientated in your new home. A lot of posts and pages have lost the sidebar – which you may find confusing, but all the important links are in the dropdown menus at the top of the page, or in the links in the footer at the bottom. And if you ever need the sidebar, just click on “Blog” at the top right hand corner of the header menu.

This is very much a work in progress and I appreciate your feedback. I want BlogClan to work for you, whilst being clean, and simple and easy to maintain.

I hope you like our new home and I’m looking forward to seeing the pages fill up with comments.

Our old camp will still exist but I will gradually stop moderating comments there. This is as much an adventure for me as for you. I hope we can have some fun settling into our new home.

PS There are a couple of secret “easter eggs” hidden in the new site. I wonder if anyone will find them?

    1. Are articles from the old camp getting posted still? I made one around late March/ early April and I kinda like it, It’s about misunderstood cats and why they’re innocent, and I really hope everyone can see it. .3.

    2. Where’s Ask Kate Questions? Is it dead? D:

    • Ask Kate Questions is totally dead. IKR? Terrible. I though maybe BlogClan could ask each other questions instead because most of the time BlogClan knows WAY more than I do.
      And yes, articles have been migrated and are being scheduled. There is quite a backlog though. I’ll check to see if yours is queued.

        • IF a question has never been answered, it usually means there is no definitive answer, only speculation. If it is not written, it is never decided.

          • Hey Kate! Speaking of questions, I actually have one for you. Why don’t you, or any of the other Erins, have an Instagram?
            (Also, I’m a really big fan of you. You’re my favorite out of the Erins. I love Warriors, and I hope you guys keep up the good writing! It would be an honor if you noticed me, and it would definitely cross something off my bucket list.)

            • Because we’re the wrong generation. I did get an account once, but taking pictures of things and broadcasting them publicly just seemed dull/silly/intrusive/wrong/wrong/pointless/an invasion of privacy. I really don’t do enough interesting things to share photos. I suppose I could take a picture of my cats every hour but, tbh, they only sleep and eat and stare. I can’t imagine anyone would be interested after the 2 minute novelty had worn off.
              Please explain the appeal of Instagram to me!

              • Well, Instagram is pretty much the same thing as Facebook. You post a picture, put a caption, and boom. It’s really easy to use, and many fans (like myself) don’t have Facebook, but have Instagram. You can also post things like fanart, book covers, etc. And the DM system… well, you might get spammed with fan things, but whatever. It’s a good app and I think you should give it another chance, but that’s completely your choice, not mine (omg thank you for replying holy StarClan)

                • Part of me would love to, but most of me is ashamed of revealing what a very dull life I lead. I’d basically be sharing pictures of the latest Julian Barnes novel, my garden and screenshots from World of Warcraft.

              • Okay. There are still other random pictures you can post, not necessarily about your life or anything. I just post fanart with credit 😛 that’s what most Warriors fan pages do. Also, I bet you lead a life equal in awesomeness to you (and that’s very, very awesome!) You could also make and post Warriors/Seekers/MAYBE Survivors facts if you make them with an app or something 🙂

  • This is super cool! So glad I made it through the mountains, got a bit left behind, those darn twolegs got me and sidetracked me! Fortunately I was able to ask a friendly loner for directions and was back on track 😀
    It looks good so far though!
