  • Pondstem laid out his collection, admiring his pride and joy, a large pearl safely nestled inside a clamshell. Around it he laid out dried violets and roses, the aged petals crumbling around the edges. They still smelled just as sweet, dried or not.

    • Honey-
Honeylight trotted out of the river, smiling back at Frostpounce. Honeylight has managed grab a beautiful black shell with a pearlescent inside. Sitting in front of her collection, which was organized by color, she was puzzled as where to put it.
“Hey! Pondstem! What color group should this go into?” She hooked the shell with her claw, showing its opposing colors.

      • Pondstem-

Pondstem peered at Honeylight’s newfound treasure, his blue eyes scanning the shiny surface. “That one.” He mewed, pointing at a group of darker items. “It will fit in nicely.”

  • Mint-Saheece – Loner –

Mint-Saheece giggled to herself as she walked into the Mau Mau camp. She looked around, her eyes wide and eager.
“I LOVE the Kaukau cats! So much FUN!” she started giggling.

  • Rose- Monarchy
Rose padded into the KauKau camp, a smirk across her face. She had visited the other clans a few times, and it was always a pleasure, as they almost bowed down to her. She gazed at the water loving cats, some of them huddled over their rocks and dead plants, and others in the river. She stopped at an apprentice (Kestrel Sky) with a small collection.

    • ~Kestrel Sky~
“What do you–” Kestrel Sky started to snap as she heard another cat coming toward her. She whipped around and realized it was a Monarchy cat. “Oh.” She saw the cat eyeing her collection, and resisted the urge to claw that smirk off her face.

      • Rose- Monarchy
Rose wrinkled her nose as the apprentice started to snap at her. She glanced down at the collection again.
“Well, I certainly wouldn’t be interested in such a pitiful collection.” She sneered, padded into off with her tail held high.

        • ~ Kestrel Sky ~
Of course. That’s what the Monarchy cats did every visit. They didn’t realize that some cats just couldn’t live up to their ridiculously high standards. Well, when I bring all the Clans together, I’ll fix those snooty Monarchy cats right up.

  • Frostpounce-
she got out of the water and padded silently over to her collection near the roots of a big tree, she added her new little black smooth rock to it, she organised her shells from her rocks and sat next to it for a little while

  • Blooming Flame, Monarchy –

Blooming Flame made her way towards the Kaukau camp, tail held high. She had never visited before, but she followed her nose. The smell of fish was impossible to miss. She wrinkled her small nose, exhaling. Giving herself a shake, she squared her shoulders and strolled ever closer to the camp. She was only tree-lengths away by now.

    Pondstem, Kaukau –

Pondstem scowled, curling his tail around his paws. Glancing at Honeylight, he flicked an ear. “I smell a Monarch.” He whispered.

(Monarch seemed appropriate for a Monarchy cat 😛 )

    • Wailfrost –

He knew it was her. The moment he just looked at her, he recognised his mate in her. This was no random, stuck up Monarchy cat, this was his daughter. Rushing towards her, he managed to keep his head low, and respectful for the other cats. They didn’t deserve a single mousebrained favour, but he couldn’t end up like his mate.
It hurt just to think about her.
Stopping in front of his daughter, he lifted his head, and faced her eye to eye.
“Excuse me, misses, I believe I may have something to tell you, away from the other cats….”

      • Blooming Flame, Monarchy –

Blooming Flame locked eyes with the tom standing in front of her, whiskers twitching. Something about this cat was familiar. “I have no desire to go anywhere with you.” She meowed. “If you have something important to say, it can be said here. If you are so afraid to speak in front of my Clanmates, I don’t want to hear it.”

        • Wailfrost –
They’d broken her. The daughter he loved. They’d made her a loyal Monarchy cat, who did not care for the others. But still, still he’d try. Because what was to loose ? Her telling her clan, and them never being allowed to see each other again ? Like he’d care about that if she was the one who told them ! The only thing they could do would be to kill him, at least then he’d see his mate again.
Staring into her eyes, he opened his mouth to mew.
But something stopped him. It was like his mate was whispering in his ear
*don’t do it, don’t give the other cats the satisfaction of knowing a great secret*
Sighing, he turned back to her. If he could say it, he’d try and get his daughter to trust him again. Tilting his head to the side, and letting out a sigh, he mewed again
“Sorry, I think I mistook you for someone else. You see, I had a kit of a similiar age to you, who went to the monarchy. I was so proud of her.”
He sighed, looking at her again.
“Would you like a tour, or maybe a gift from my collection.”

          • Blooming Flame, Monarchy –

Blooming Flame narrowed her eyes. “And my father was a Kaukau cat.” She meowed simply. Smirking, she gave the tom a smile. “I would love to see your collection. I do not deny myself the simple pleasure of witnessing beautiful items.”

            • Wailfrost –

Either she already knew that they were father and daughter, or she was very, very, very stupid.
“Well, I hope you find him one day, should you wish to.” He mewed politely, rushing over to some rocks, which he always hid his collection behind. There were many cats who would steal in Kaukau, and often would not get caught. That foxhearted Honeymoon was one for doing that.
Quickly fixing a few pebbles that had rolled out of colour order, he presented his collection to the she cat. He was very pleased with his collection, the best item being a rare bit of shiny twoleg stone. Someone had once called it ‘metal’. But he loved it’s golden sheen and how it reflected the light.
“Here you go ! I’m sorry, but I don’t think I caught your name, I’m Wailfrost. Monarchy cats choose their names, don’t they ?”

              • Blooming Flame –

Blooming Flame fixed her mismatched stare on the tom. “I have no doubt I’ll find him.” I have no doubt I already have. She followed him, eyes scanning his collection. “You have a good sense of organization.” She mewed, only somewhat disappointed it was true. “I am Blooming Flame. Yes, we choose our names. I was called Marigold as a kit.”

                • Wailfrost –

As her heard her mention her name, he mumbled under his breath, inaudible to all other cats
“Marigold like the flowers which grow like weeds in Arubul territory.” That was why he had named her that, just before she had been taken away.
“Why thank you, Blooming Flame. It’s a very nice name you chose, I think had I been able to choose my own name, I would have named myself something similar.”
Smiling as she complemented his collection, he scanned through himself, trying to find a certain item which he remembered. Finally he spotted it. A stone with a hole through it, but the main thing that made it special was the slight pinkish tone to it. Threading a piece of reddish seaweed through it, he offered it to Blooming Flame
“Here you go, a small gift to remember Kaukau by. A good luck charm so that, one day, you may find your father.”
And so you may remember him, he thought to himself

                • Blooming Flame –

Blooming Flame was slightly disappointed that she had no reason to snap at this tom. Oh well. Another day. “Thank you. That is kind.” She mewed sweetly.

  • Silverice-
Silverice glared at the monarchy cats with hatred. She still remembered the moment her parents disowned her because she wasn’t as ‘special’ as them. She shook her pelt then decided that if she doesn’t want to meet the Monarchy cats, she should slip out of camp. She headed towards the entrance of the camp hoping nobody has seen her.

    Swiftstream-
Swiftstream placed a paw on one of her feathers in her collection. She realized with horror that a bug seemed to have gotten on it. It’s neat borders were all messed up, and parts of it has been chewed off. She looked around searching for a place she ould put the feather out of the view. Her gaze settled on a clump of ferns in the camp. She picked up the feather and slowly started for the ferns.

    • Honeymoon –
Seeing Silverice gettting up to leave, Honeymoon followed, smirking slightly. Stepping in front of the she cat just before she could push through the ferns and out of camp, she put on her happy, friendly and slightly oblivious act.
“Hello ! Are you not staying ? Because I think crystal wanted us to stay !”
Tilting her head in mock confusion, she cried out again
      “I’ll ask her .”
As loud as she dared without being scolded she shouted
      “Crystal ! I have a question !”

      • Silverice-
Silverice pulled her ears back in defeat. She let out a quiet hiss but didn’t say anything. She knew exactly that Honeymoon was up to no good. She looked towards Crystal, trying to think of a normal answer. I hate the monarchy, and can’t stand staying near them for another second didn’t seem like the proper answer.

  • Flare –
Flare skidded to a halt near a river. She saw something sparkly within it. She stepped into the water and dipped her head down and seized it. It was a pearl.
“Wow! Their gonna love this!” With the pearl in her mouth, she trotted out of the water and trotted to join the others with her long tail and beautiful head raised.

  • ~Blue~
Blue padded around the camp, surveying her collection. She brushed her most prized possession with her tail: a silver snowflake-shaped gem. Why do we have to change our names? I liked my name. Blue sighed. What is this all for? What is the point of changing our identities?

So sorry for being so inactive, if you saw my post on the tavern (which you probably didn’t) I have had issues with school and homework, and then Rain left, and I’ve had glitches with BlogClan. I’ll try to be more active.

  • Many monarchy cats visited Kaukau, and it’s fair to say that most loved it !Some returned home with gifts and bracelets made out of the cats collections. However, there seems to be thefts happening all over the clan, a terrible crime in Kaukau.
More and more cats find items going missing from their collections. Do you talk to the Monarchy or try to sort it out amongst yourselves ?

    • Swiftstream-
Swiftstream looked through her collection. Since waking up she had spent the evening looking for her favorite piece from the collection. She bit her lip thinking over wether she should tell the Monarchy or not. With a sigh she looked around camp noticing that other cats were also franticly looking for lost (stolen) things. She once more looked through her bedding hoping that she will find the stone she was looking for. Unable to find it she got out of her nest and walked into the clearing glaring at every cat who she saw, not knowing who did it.

      • Honeylight noticed one of her most precious leaves was missing. Frantically she searched in her piles, even the ones that weren’t the correct color, and couldn’t find it. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Swiftstream glaring at the other cats in the clan.
Did she take it? She wouldn’t dare!
“Hey, Swiftstream!” She snapped, “looking for something!?”

        • Swiftstream-
“Oh, hey Honeylight.” Swiftstream said slowly. She looked the she-cat over, ‘She might be the one who took it’ she thought.
“I’m looking for a beautiful red stone, that looks like a fox.” she stated. She looked at Honeylight but the she-cat didn’t show any sign of knowing anything. “Did you lose anything?” she asked noticing the frantic glint in Honeylight’s eye.

          • Honeylight slowed her lashing tail.
Surely she wouldn’t have lost something if she took my leaf, right?
Pouting, she dramatically sat down with a huff.
“Someone took one of my favorite leaves! It was so pretty, and looked like it had captured the sunset in its.. leaf… parts…”

            • Swiftstream-
“I’m sorry. Should we tell the Monarchy? I think we could deal with it, but it matters how many things we’re stolen.” Swiftstream stated. ‘It wouldn’t make sense for Honeylight to take her own things, so she probably isn’T the one who stole my stone.’ Swift stream thought. She tilted her head sideways to look at Honeylight, awaiting for an answer. She flicked her tail a little impatiently.

              • “Well…” Honeylight hummed.
It was an excuse to see Rose! But, ugh, I don’t really wanna deal with the Monarchy so soon.
“Maybe we should check to see how many other cats things are stolen!”

                • Swiftstream-
“Okay.” she meowed, but she noticed how hesitant Honeylight had been. She pushed it into the back of her mind, before she started making assumptions.

    • ~Blue~
Blue padded around camp, and went back to her possessions. “WAIT! WHERE’S MY SAPPHIRE?!” she shrilled, panicking. She hated losing stuff. “SOMEONE STOLE MY SAPPHIRE!” Her fur bristled. Who would dare take someone’s items? This was a terrible crime! Blue stalked away from her collection, trying to find out who took her gem.

  • ~ Cloudwhisp ~
Cloudwhisp sat by the stream, watching for fish while at the same time looking for something to replace a recently stolen item of hers. The item wasn’t the most valuable thing in her collection, but even so, she was fuming within. In my day, the concept of stealing from a collection was completely and utterly unheard of, one of the worst ideas ever to cross any cat’s mind… Cloudwhisp’s thoughts were interrupted when she was suddenly inflicted by a violent fit of coughing. After it passed, Cloudwhisp stood up wearily. It’s past time to see Dahon now. She padded off to visit the other Clan.
    ~ Kestrel Sky ~
In front of her collection, Kestrel Sky sat like a stone, her tail twitching now and then, her eyes sliding warily all around her. She’d been doing this for hours. So far, no one had come to steal anything. Come to think of it, why would they? Kestrel Sky thought with a snort of laughter. But the truth of it fully dawned on her. She took one last look at her collection before getting up and padding out of camp to hunt. She arrived at the stream in time to see her grandmother head off into the direction of Dahon. Before Kestrel Sky could call out, Cloudwhisp vanished into the undergrowth. Kestrel Sky tilted her head in confusion. Is she sick? The mere thought of it struck fear into Kestrel Sky’s heart. No, no, no, she can’t be! She’s all the family I have in Kaukau! It seemed like the weight of a hundred stones had been dropped on top of the young apprentice. She wanted to run and hide, to bury herself in her mother’s fur, any cat to soothe her and tell her that everything would be okay. But all Kestrel Sky could do was crumple to the floor, unable to stop the whisper of anxiety in her ears.

  • Honeymoon –

Hissing, she noticed that beautiful stone that she had gained not long ago had vanished .
    “WHO TOOK MY STONE !”
she spat at the top of her voice, anger pulsing through her pelt.

    • Silverice-
Silverice looked over at Honeymoon. The she-cat had just said what Silverice had intended on saying as well. “What’s the problem Honeymoon?” she asked, trying to sooth Honeymoon, best as she could. She then remembered the Monarchy’s visit. Honeymoon had intended to tell Crystal that Silverice wanted to leave the camp. Her fur fluffed up, but she forced it to stay down. She couldn’t risk getting into a fight once again, Honeymoon would think that Silverice was the one who stole her stone. Just thinking about the punishment she would get if that happened made Silverice shiver.

  • -Crystal-

Crystal padded towards her den, eyes darting around for the theif. No one would steal from the leader. Would they? Once Crystal was in her den she padded over to a little cove which was where she hid her belongings. She removed the stone that blocked it and looked over her collection. Everything seemed to be in order. Good.

    -Jayleap-

Jayleap padded into his den he shared with Crystal, and saw her looking into a cove. “What’s in there?” “Oh nothing. I was just checking out this neat cove.” Crystal told him. “Okay.” Jayleap padded over to their nest and lay down, ready to take a nap.

    -Crystal-

Crystal watched her mate settle into his nest, her eyes slitted. If he’s the theif, I better move my collection. Crystal scanned the walls of her den, and quickly spotted another cove higher up. Crystal gritted her teeth, and started climbing up towards it. After many climbing trips, her collection was in a safer place. Crystal, satisfied with her new hiding place, settled down next to Jayleap and fell asleep.
