Backstory* – They were once a happy family. Sketch, his mother — Peony, his father — Alex, and his sister — Lara. But all good things must come to an end. Peony and Alex stood on opposing sides when it came to Yindwa. Peony was completely loyal to Indigo, and believed every word the leader said. She had a strong sense of loyalty to Yindwa, and, in turn, it’s leader. Alex, however, could tell just how horrible Allian and Indigo had made Yindwa. Soon the love between Alex and Peony turned to hatred, and when Alex revealed that he was planning to join the Starry Skies Army, that was it. Their kits, only two moons old, were separated between the two parents, Alex taking Lara and whisking her away to be raised among the Starry Skies army, and Peony raising Sketch to be completely loyal to Indigo and Yindwa. Peony raised Sketch thinking that his father had died and never knowing that he had a sister. He grew up among Indigo’s elite, and, like his mother, being completely loyal to the leader of Indwa. One day, when Sketch was six moons old, they were raided by the Starry Skies army, only strengthening Sketch’s hatred for them. Peony was killed in the battle — unknowingly by Sketch’s own father, Alex. And so Sketch was raised by Indigo, almost like a son, and because of his mother’s death, he promised himself that he would destroy the Starry Skies Army, if it was the last thing he would do.

One day, when Lara was six moons old, the Starry Skies believed it was the perfect moment to attack. Lara was too young to participate, but she wished she could. The attack didn’t go well. Her father, and the remnants of their small army, stumbled into their camp with blood gushing from his throat — a wound inflicted by Peony, before he was forced to kill her. Their healers couldn’t save him. His last words to Lara was apoligizing for what happened. She questioned him, and he revealed that she had a brother. That was all he could say before he died. Lara spent the rest of her life hating Indigo and what was happening in Yindwa — and searching for her brother — for she didn’t know anything about him. Not his name, what he looked like… not even that he was the enemy she despised so much.
