Everest –
Everest found herself in a cave. She narrowed her eyes, feeling confined. I need sunlight and free movement…
She needed to find someone to talk to. She needed allies in this place. She walked up to the first cat she saw.
“Hello! I’m Everest, United States!”
Yang –
“Yang of China, at your service,” he meowed, walking up to the white-and-grey she-cat.
Look below for reply. 🙂
Emma –
A United States cat ! She’d heard a little about them, and was pretty sure that her country was on good terms. Walking up, and desperately hoping that she didn’t now freak out over her scar, Emma smiled and wave down her tail at the other cat happily
“Hey I’m uh, Emma from umm Canada.”
Everest –
Everest smiled at Yang and Emma. “Canada and China. Ha! Both start with the same letter. are you guys looking forward to fighting The Light Cat?” she flexed her claws eagerly, eyes flashing. “If I get my claws on them, it will certainly be a show.”
She realized how creepy she sounded and forced a laugh. “Oops, that sounded creepy. I swear I’m not psychotic. Just got a few problems with them… I hold a grudge.”
Gosh, that sounded even worse. she sighed and shrugged. Oh well. Who cared what these cats thought about her? She didn’t want to be friends with cats who only liked her when she acted perfect. She prefer to be friends with those who didn’t mind when she was a little crazy.
Yang –
“I myself would love to give him a few scratches as well, though it may be more interesting to merely watch his dynasty fall.” Everest and Emma, hm? Both start with E. Heh.
Emma –
Emma cast a nervous gaze between both the cats. One seemed pverly excitable and a little battle hungry, and the other seemed well…… a little over the top ?
“I guess ? I’m not really one for umm hurting other cats. Fighting isn’t really uh my thing.”
She shuffled her paws a little, hoping that they didn’t ask how she got her scar if she didn’t like to fight.
“I just want cats to be um happy and uhh peaceful.”
She glanced to the ground besides her
Everest –
Everest turned and blinked at Emma.
“Well yeah, most cats want that, I most certainly want peace for others, but sometimes the road to peace comes through war, and sometimes someone is so evil, read, The Light Cat, that they deserve to die. But just let me handle the dirty work.”
She smiled at Emma, not realizing that what she had said wasn’t reassuring.
Yang –
“I really couldn’t care much, but I guess having a nice, peaceful life for everyone would be great. Even though that’s barely (ahh I forget the word it’s reality but also conceivable :P)”
Everest –
Everest smiled. “Trust me, if I get my way, it will be very entertaining.” she yawned and looked around. “I hope we aren’t here for too long. Hate to get bored.”
Sveta blinked at Ivana. “Oh – oh, ok . . . ” She didn’t understand but didn’t want to seem worse than this cat already thought she was. “You’re just like everybody else.”
Ivana ~
“Ah. Sorry I didn’t explain it. I’m from Bulgaria, you’re from Russia, correct?” She stated, feeling scared instantly. “I don’t know if you’re on the Soviet Union side or not. If you are, well . . .”
Ivana looked down. “Russian Soviet Unionist killed many Bulgarians, like I. And I don’t think we could be good allies. If not, then . . . I guess we’re good.”
(I have just realised a thing. I made a German cat. Literally most of the world has fought Germany at one point. What have I done )
Elias –
Growling under his breath as he walked through crowds of cats, Elias rolled his eyes. He wouldn’t have agreed to this had he know how many other cats would be here’s. It was just… uhhh.
“I’m Elias from Germany. If you want an allegiance, ask me, I’ll probably say no.”
(Someone please talk to him
(Oofity oof 😛 )
Kristian ~
Kristian decided to talk to someone. Padding up to a tom, he gave a smile. “Germany’s cool. I’m Kristian, from Denmark.” Looking thoughtful, he added, “And I don’t mind if you don’t want an alliance. But before you judge me, I can fight and hunt and my sense of hearing is pretty sharp – not to sound rude.”
(My little child oof 😛 )
Elias –
Wow. A cat actually approached him. Joy. Still standing, not wanting to seem like he wanted a conversation, Elias rolled his eyes
“Yeah sure, real strong guy aren’t you Kristian.”
Flicking his tail, he glanced around, no one else was going to talk to him that was for sure. Perks of being german cat. Most ohers tended to just leave him alone. That or growl at him. So he was going to have to deal with this cat.
“So Kristian from Denmark, what brings you here.”
(Let’s just pretend I didn’t say ‘I can fight’ because no, my child, no you can’t :’) 😛 )
Kristian ~
“No. Not really.” Kristian said thoughtfully. “I’m guessing you’re probably the stronger one here, coming from Germany,” He meowed, trying not to sound weird.
“Oh, I’m here because some cat from The Light Cat’s army killed my brother,” He flexed his claws at the memory, “and I want to stop them from thinking they own the world. Well – they do, but like, I don’t want them to, I mean . . .”
Laurent –
Laurent looked positively pleased to be in the presence of so many young ladies. Let the games begin.
Salcie –
Salcie’s ears pricked as she looked around, her gaze landing on a tom. Excusing herself from Xiao, she padded quietly over to Anatolie, quivering with excitement. “Forgive me for intruding, but did I hear you say you’re from Romania?” She breathed, green eyes wide.
Anatolie ~
“Mhm. Si tu?“ (Trans: And you? But you probably already know that 😛 ) He meowed, aware the she-cat was also from his home country.
(I’m not part of this roleplay, but I felt the need to talk: I wasn’t sure if that was french so I was about to be like “nnnnnope si tu means if you :P” but then I saw the character name and decided that it was not french 😛 )
( 😛 no, he is not in fact French, but Romanian 😛 ) (they both speak Latin Romance languages, so I can see where you’re coming from 😉 😛 )
Banou fluffed out her fur in anger as no one cat responded. Fine! If these peasants weren’t going to line up, she would… allow them to come to her on the ground! Yeah! She wasn’t going to them!
Banou jumped to the floor, and stalked swiftly past Sandy.
“Alright… I’ll make an allegiance with anyone!” Sandy sat down next to her and smirked. “Except him! If you align yourself with him, you make an enemy with me!”
Santiago-
Sandy trotted away from Banou, sticking his tongue out. He walked to the middle of the group of cats, searching around for prey or allies.
(Sandy and Banou were dating for like the five minutes he visited Nigeria. It was a bad break up 😛)
(Something about her family’s fortune almost getting stolen… 😛)
(Both are open to chat!)
Aki padded through the crowd, looking for allies. He would honestly rather deal alone with whatever the challenges could throw at him, but everyone else seemed to be teaming up, so he figured it would be a good idea. He noticed a mottled brown tom (Santiago) sauntering through the crowd.
“Hello,” Aki meowed firmly, trying to get the brown cat’s attention since he looked like he was also looking for allies.
Xiao-
Xiao watched as Salcie walked away from her, to speak to a cat who was apparently also Romanian. She wished again that Yue was here. Maybe there was another cat from Asia here, or one who spoke Chinese too.
A splotchy tom bounced in, tripped over his paws, messed up his bow tie in the colors of the Italian flag, and ended up eating dust in his first few moments here “Ciao! Sona Matteo, Italiano!” (Translation : Hello! I’m Matteo, Italy) he yowled to no one in particular
Speedy Mod? Speedy Mod! Please come out, I have cookies!
Hiya! 😀
Did I hear a mention of cookies?
Kore-
“Hello,” Kore meowed, assuming Ciao meant Hello. “I’m Kore, Greece.”
Matteo smiled and trotted over “I’m Matteo,Italy, but please call me Matt!” The Italian tom squeaked in broken English
Kore-
“Hello, Matt.”
Matteo –
“Allora, Sai perché saimo qui amici?” (Translation : So, Do you know why we’re here friend?) Matt spoke his native language instinctually, but quickly corrected himself “Err I mean, Do you know why we’re here?”
Lara ~
Walking over to two cats, she blinked her beautiful blue eyes. “Hello. I’m Lara, Slovenia. Sorry for the interruption.”
Matteo –
In his excitement at seeing another cat, Matteo ended up speaking full Italian sentences without correcting himself “Ciao! Sono Matteo questo è Kore! Come ti chiami?” (Translation : Hello! I’m Matteo, this is Kore! What is your name?)
Lara ~
Lara smiled. She had studied a lot of languages, Italian being one. “Lara, Slovenia. Pleased to make your acquaintance.”
Sveta started panicking. This cat was probably one of the closest allies that could be made. “Well, I don’t know history or lots of Russian. I was abandoned because I didn’t want to fight, especially kill, anyone.”
Ivana ~
Realising she had hurt the cat’s feelings, Ivana bowed her head. “Ah. I am sorry. I just assumed . . . Well.” She smiled. “I guess we can make a good alliance, then.”
Sveta let out an inward sigh, than grinned. “It’s fine. I don’t look like a cat as nice as me that has lived alone for most my life, do I?” Not until I met Viktor.
Santiago flicked his ears at the tom who approached him.
“Hey,” He looked him up and down. “Oh, you wanna be allies?”
Aki dipped his head in affirmation. “I noticed you seem to be alone, so I thought both of us could benefit from an alliance.” He tilted his head slightly to one side, waiting for a reply.
Maji-
Maji heard a cat with a Japanese accent. “こんにちは, 日本人ですか?” (Hello, are you Japanese?)
Aki’s ear twitched at the sound of another cat speaking Japanese. Twitching his tail to Santiago in what he hoped was an effective signal that he would be right back, he turned to Maji.
“はい,” he affirmed, “although it’s been a long time since I was last in Japan.” It was rather disorienting to meet another cat who spoke Japanese after so long with the Light Cat’s army where he wasn’t allowed to, and he realized with surprise that he was now more comfortable with English.
Maji decided to reply in English also, since she needed to practice and it might come in handy later. “I’ve never been out of Japan before this. Where did you go?”
“Oh… around,” Aki meowed evasively, “I’ve been travelling the world for some time now… not really my choice, actually.” He felt himself about to blab too much information, so he clamped his mouth shut and nodded in finality.
Santiago felt himself relax as the cats starting speaking English again. It wasn’t his first language, but he could hold a conversation in it.
“How is traveling not your choice? Traveling is all about freedom, there’s nothing free about being forced to travel!”
(Omsc my son enjoys his travels 😛)
Aki’s ear twitched in annoyance and—although he wasn’t going to let anyone else know what it was—discomfort at being interrogated.
“It was a while ago,” he meowed, “my parents shipped me off to the Light Cat’s army.” He gritted his teeth to make very sure they knew that he would never have gone willingly, and to keep himself from breaking down crying as he explained. “We had to travel all around fighting to keep the order—” he realized how that must have sounded, although the phrase came naturally to him after so long, and corrected himself—”stop cats from breaking through the oppression.”
He stepped back, standing defiantly against the flood of emotions that threatened to spill out and against any distrust his potential allies might have for him.
Maji-
“Oh, that sounds terrible, Aki,” she mewed. It seemed like a topic that stressed him out a lot. “At least you’re here now, right? You’ve changed for the better.”
Santiago flicked his ears.
“Oh, sorry then.” He glanced over at Maji and nodded. “Uh, what she said. You changed.”
(Sorry If He sounds mean, but he doesn’t really care about other people 😛)
Aki dipped his head, grateful for the understanding of the others. He flicked his tail to discharge some of his agitation.
“If you guys are looking for allies, I can… ally with you,” he meowed openly, awkwardly. He knew he was in no position now to be aloof with the cats before him, with whom he had shared the one secret he had hoped never to disclose here.
Maji smiled. “Let’s be allies.”
