~The Cubs (lol)~
Tuft swallowed, processing everything. He turned to Umbra, then they looked at Fur. Fur was looking at them too. They were all thinking the same thoughts.
Tuft shook his head. “How can you be thinking about food at a time like this?”
Umbra joined in. “Yeah. We have suffered many losses, and all you guys care about is your stomachs. I am not being heartless, nor unfair. We have lost the most out of everyone here.” Her voice cracked. “My mother died trying to save me, and I will never forget her for that.”
Fur spoke up. “Mama is dead, and you’re acting like…”
“She didn’t exist,” they finished together. The three cubs turned around, their tails dragging on the ground behind them.
Tuft looked at the ground. “I need some time to think.” He followed his littermates.
“Cubs, you heard Tuft. Leave him alone, please.” Yuri barks gently.
My brother’s favorite baseball team is the Cubs, actually. 😛~Tuft~
Tuft raised his chin. “I will not dishonour my mother’s legacy. She would want us all together.” He glanced at his littermates. Umbra bounded over to him and licked his cheek. He smiled. “So that’s what I’ll do.”
And my brother’s moving up into Cubs Scouts 😛Yuri smiles. “Good choice, Tuft.”
~Rain~
Rain blinked at the cubs, her blue eyes shining with deep sympathy. “I promise you,” she murmured gently, “Your mother will never be forgotten. Never ever. How could we forget such a brave, loyal warrior? It’s understandable that you need some time to think,” she went on, “You can take all the time you need- we won’t disturb you. But if you ever need to talk about Athena, I’m always here. I will always listen.”
Molly~
Molly nodded. “Rain is right. Athena was brave till the very end. Nobody would ever forget her.”

Athena’s voice rings in Yuri’s head. “I will never forget her…” She whimpers.
Rain leans comfortingly against Yuri’s side. “Nor will I,” she murmurs.

Carlotta wasn’t sure what to say. She hadn’t known Athena like the others had. So she just didn’t say anything. Maybe it was better that way.

“It’s been a while. I-I was sick.” Moonstream meowed, though her coice was raspy, as if, she hadn’t quite recovered.
“I see…” Putting her left forepaw up to her chin, Yuri starts thinking what to say next. “What are your symptoms? I need to make sure everybody is okay.”
~Elderberry~
Petal was taking care of Ash, so Elderberry walked quickly up to Moonstream. “Is something wrong?” she asked.
Moonstream-
“I-I was coughing.” Moonstream says, rather shakily.
(Please can there be another war I need this gal to fight)

Elderberry reaches into her bag and pulls out some medicine. “This will help soothe your throat,” she tells Moonstream.
(We’ve been having wars for weeks and I think this rp is kinda in need of some regular town life, 😛 but I think we can arrange something small for you, so that Moonstream can fight but it doesn’t take too long. 😉 )

Moonstream-
(Oh gosh darn autocorrect just leave me alone)
“Thank you.” Moonstream takes the medicine and swallows it. She takes this chance to look around. There were several animals she didn’t know.
Ash~
Ash shuddered, but the second kit- a she-kit this time- was out.
“Are there any more?” she murmured.

Petal ran her wing along Ash’s side to feel for any more kits. “Only one more to go,” she answered quietly.
Ash~
Ok, thinks Ash. Only one more to go. I can do this.
It’s surprisingly easier this time, and doesn’t take as long.
“Another she-kit,” purrs Ash, watching as her son and two daughters begin to nurse.
“Thank you, Petal.” she adds.

Molly smiles as in the distance, she notices that Ash has had her kits, and they’re all drinking milk.
“Kittens are so cute!” she says.

“They sure are!” Rain agrees, smiling.
~Ivystripe~
“I can’t wait to play with them when they’re bigger!” Ivystripe says.
Ash~
Ash gazed lovingly down at her kits.
“I’m sure they’d love to play with you as well,” she purrs to Ivystripe.

Slash turns to the other animals. “You should all head back to town,” she tells them, “It’s not safe to stay here.” She looked at Koshiro’s mansion, “I will check to make sure we aren’t followed and be right behind you.”
“We should. The doctors should stay behind and protect the injured ones.” Yuri barks. She points at the town with her paw. “Let’s go!”
~Elderberry~
Elderberry dips her head. “We will protect them whatever it takes,” she responds.
~Fireblaze (and other chickens)~
Hearing Slash’s order, Fireblaze goes over to stand beside Yuri, ready to head back. Sandy, whose wing is still bandaged but seems to be healing walks up to them. Dusty follows her sister and Victoria bounces along behind the group, shooting curious glances at Koshiro’s mansion. “Let’s walk back to town together,” Sandy suggests, taking Fireblaze’s wing in her uninjured one.
The words Fireblaze would like to say get stuck in her throat, but she gives herself a shake and turns to the sisters, Vicky, and Yuri. She could have lost them- any one of them, she thinks, surely this couldn’t be that hard. “I love you guys more than I can say!” she chokes out finally.
“Fire, we already knew that,” Sandy murmurs. “You risked your life for us,” she points out, “We all did for each other. Surely that’s a bond that can never be broken.” Dusty only blinks and presses silently against Fireblaze’s side.
“‘Of course you love me!” Victoria chirps smugly, making Fireblaze smile, “I’m just lovable!”
“Lovable… I don’t know about that!” Fireblaze replied, relieved that the solemn mood had been broken, “You did disobey orders to come here and risk your life.”
“But I did it for you just like Sandy said,” Victoria retorted, and Fireblaze realized that this hen had more loyalty in her than they had imagined.
“Fireblaze! You are such a good friend! I do not know what I would do without you!” Yuri responds.
My characters-
They all nodded agreement with Fireblaze and Yuri.
~Shadow~
Shadow suddenly realizes that they need to go back to where they met with the cougars to get the kits and Midnight who was watching them, she tells Ice and Feather then rushes off to get them. She reappears a few minutes later carrying Grass and Ivy, and Frost trailing behind with the other kit in Midnight’s beak.
Moonstream-
Nodding, Moonstream growls, “I heard.” Following, she blinked at Yuri and Fireblaze.
Ash~
Ash stroked her kits gently with her tail, and wondered what she was going to name them.
She asked Ivystripe, Rain, and Molly, “Do you guys have any name suggestions?”
Molly thought for a moment. “Maybe something that matches their color. Something gray for the little tom, something orange for the orange she-kit, and something black for the black she-cat.”
Ash mewed, “That sounds like a good idea. Ivystripe? Rain? What names do you think would be good?”

“Name one after me,” jokes Carlotta. Ash merows with laughter.
Follow the Yellow Brick Road“Carlotta!” Yuri laughs. “That is not inspired by a color, now is it?”
Carlotta~
Carlotta simply shrugs.

~Raven~
Raven walked up to Ash, and whispered softly in her ear. “Please may you name one after” – she glanced at the cubs huddled in a sad group – “Athena? I think it would… please a lot of them. You don’t have to, I’m surprised anyone listens to me anymore in this joint.” She turned around.
~Rain~
Rain blinks at Raven. “I think that’s a lovely idea,” she says quietly.
Ash~
“I quite like the idea. And I think it would be a good way to honor Athena.” mewed Ash.

Ash purrs. With her friends’ help, she finally knows what she will call her kits!
“I love all the names you came up with,” she mewed, “but three of them I really, REALLY like.
“The gray tom-kit is named Stormy. The black she-kit is Shade. And the orange she-kit will be Athena, suggested by Raven to honor our fallen friend.” said Ash.

Follow the Yellow Brick RoadYuri whispers. “Congratulations, Ash.” She turns to the kits. “Welcome to the world, Stormy, Shade… Athena…” She looks at her paws. “I really miss her…”
Molly~
“I miss Athena too.” Molly said softly to Yuri. “But like Ash said, we will honor her.”
Molly gazed at the little orange she-cat, named for their fallen friend.
Buy the StarsYuri smiles weakly. “Yes, she is beautiful. All of them are.”
“How about Stormy for the gray tom and Shade for the black she-kit?” Rain suggested. “And the little orange one can be Spark!” Ivystripe added.

Foliis moved closer to Nyx. “Are you okay?”
Nyx did not answer. She was humming softly.
~Agatha~
Agatha faced the animals as they neared town. Noticing a few of them open their mouths to explain, she lifted her wing to silence them. “There was a war,” she said solemnly, “Yes, I heard. And I grieve Athena heavily.” There was a flicker of sadness in the former president’s violet eyes, but other than that her expression remained composed and unreadable.
Agatha then turned her head to the edge of the crowd and for the first time looked surprised. There, among the returning animals, was a chicken she hadn’t expected to see again. “Slash,” she clucked, dipping her head respectfully, “It’s a pleasure to see you again. I didn’t think I ever would. Are you returning to town with us?”
~Slash~
“It appears I might,” Slash replied. “I seem welcome here and your town needs more protection,” she chuckled.
Agatha’s gaze was unreadable. “You could have come to that conclusion a while back, couldn’t you?” she asked matter-of-factly.
“It was complicated,” Slash clucked, straightening her sword, “I had to stay near the mansion- that’s where Spur was.”
~Agatha~
Agatha eyed the ground thoughtfully. “Tell me,” she finally said, years of wisdom shining in her eyes, “What made you make that decision- for a town that’s not yours?”
“I crave adventure,” Slash shrugged, “You know that by now. And besides, perhaps more importantly- with Spur, I don’t think it could ever be a waste, just keeping an eye on him. No town deserves his destruction, and I never said I won’t protect you from it!”
Agatha met her gaze, her beak curling up slightly in the beginning of a smile. “You are welcome in our town,” she declared quietly.
She turned to the other animals. “I am glad you are returning,” she told them calmly, “It’s unsafe to stay near the mansion. Let us head back.”

Carlotta decided that she had to spin a web.
She was feeling hungry, and a good web was the only proper way to get flies.
“Do you know any good, out of the way places in the town?” she asked Agatha. “Places I could potentially make a web?”

Agatha was silent for a minute, looking thoughtful.
“Well,” she said, “Yes, actually we do. There is an old house in our town. It used to be very busy, but nowadays animals seldom go there. That house has a large attic, and I’ve heard spiders like to make their webs in attics. If it’s a suitable place for you, you would be welcome to stay there.”

“Oui, that sounds like a good place!” said Carlotta excitedly.

Shadow picked up Ivy wile Feather gathered Frost and Ice got Grass, “Are we ready?” Shadow asked, Ice and Feather nodded.
*Ice*
“We’re ready,” he nodded to the other animals, “We’ll see you around, I guess.”

“Shadow where are we going?” Grass squeaked, her eyes weren’t open and wouldn’t open for a while but she sensed that they were moving.
~Shadow~
“We’re going home. Come on, the clan will be worried.” Shadow nodded once more and they all took off through the alleys.
Unknown kit (Soon to be Bramble)-
“Hello? Who is that?” the kit shivered, “Midnight? You’re still here, right?”
~*Midnight*~
“Yes, I’m here, don’t worry I won’t let anything hurt you, kit.” Midnight crowed, “Come out and show yourselves!”
~Shadow~
A crow? Shadow thought, “Ok, ok. But don’t even think about attacking, we will fight.” She padded into the open to see a crow standing over a tiny kit, Oh the poor thing! It must have only just opened its eyes!
~*Midnight*~
Midnight whispered, “Stay back,” just in time to see three full grown cats all holding kit. The leading cat halted her eyes widening as she looked at Midnight and the kit, “Hello.” Midnight said, “What are your names?”
~Shadow~
“I’m Shadow, this is my mate, Ice, our kits, Grass, Frost, and Ivy.” Shadow pointed to the cats, “And this is Feather, our clan Medicine Cat.” She gestured to Feather, “What are your names?”

Ash~
Ash’s kits were mewling quietly. Of course their eyes weren’t open yet, but they’d open eventually.
“Drink, my dears.” she mewed softly as her kits started drinking milk.
Athena fell off Ash’s belly, and Ash gently set her beside her siblings again.

Molly really liked Ash’s kittens. But she was also worried that they wouldn’t like her once they opened their eyes.
A cow was surely terrifying to a kitten!
“Ash?” she said. “What if your kittens don’t like me? You know, because I’m so much bigger than them.”
Ash assured Molly, “They’ll grow to like you. Even if they’re scared at first, they’ll soon realize you’re kind.”
Molly smiled at Ash.
“Thanks.” she said.

“Sure, they’ll like you!” Forest assured Molly.
“You’re much bigger than me, too, and I managed to get over my fear!” she added jokingly.

Molly rolled her eyes. She knew that Forest was joking, though.

“I like you too,” said Molly.
Buy the StarsYuri whispers, “They are beautiful. We need to get them away from Koshiro, however. That no-good dog might want to hurt them.” Yuri starts growling silently. “Of course, that is not going to happen. Not while I am here.”
~Fireblaze~
“That will never happen!” Fireblaze agreed, “If I have to, I will protect them, too- nobody has a right to hurt babies!! Also, I’m armed,” she added, taking out a dishtowel, a roll of duct tape, and her shusher, which was a long foam stick. “I know these might not seem like much use,” she admitted, “But they are, in fact, very good weapons. I’ve fought off countless school bullies with them. I do wish I had a keyboard, though. That served as a good weapon when a boy tried to smash an insect. I sure showed him!”
Yuri’s curled tail wags. “Is that so?” She barks.
Ash~
Ash purred, “I’m glad I have friends like you two to help protect my kittens.”
She stares at her kits for a moment, then says, “I’d do anything to protect you,” softly to Athena, Stormy, and Shade.

Jazzy adjusted the flower behind her ear, and told her friend Kordi, (another character I just made, she’s a lion) “Is it fixed now?”
Kordi nodded. “Yeah. It looks good.”
Jazzy playfully flicked her friend with her tail, and said, “I know where to find more. “
“Let’s go!” said Kordi.
Turning to the others, Jazzy said, “Kordi and I are going to look for more pink flowers- like the one behind my ear. Anyone else want to come?”

“I’d like to come!” Cherryshine chirped excitedly, “I love looking for flowers! I’m sure we’ll find lots and lots!”
Kordi~
“Ok!” said Kordi. She started walking towards the meadow.
“Kordi, you have to wait for us first,” Jazzy gently reminded her.
“Oh. Right.” said Kordi, pausing so Jazzy and Cherryshine could catch up.

Cherryshine raced to catch up with Kordi, brushing her wing against the lion’s side playfully when she had reached her.
~Shadow~
Shadow looks at the little brown kit in Midnight’s beak, “I think its time you had a name,” She meows, “Midnight, what will you call him?”
Midnight thought for a moment then said, “I was thinking he could be Bramble, but after all this… He deserves a more fitting name, he will be… Hawk Talon.”
Shadow nodded, “Hawk Talon. I think that is a very good name for such a brave kit. Hawk Talon it is, and, Feather has talked to me about something special. This seems a good time if any to do it. All animals gather here for a meeting!” She waits for the others to gather (Sorry, not trying to control them i just want this done quickly), “Faith, Nali, Destiny, Hope. Come here, please. I think its time you were recognized as full grow cats. Nali, Destiny, Hope? Do you promise to uphold our code of honer and protect the lives of your clan mates and good animals around us as well?”
“I do” They all replied.
“Then, by the powers of all of our ancestors, I proclaim you full warriors of AlleyClan, serve your clan well, young ones. Now, Feather, you and Faith will go to the [Insert place they meet with ancestors here cus idk where] and Faith will be a full Medicine Cat. This meeting is at an end.”
~Ivystripe~
“Yay, congratulations, Faith!” Ivystripe rushed up to her after the meeting was over. During their trip picking herbs, Ivystripe had gotten to know Faith well, and she was happy that her friend would be a full medicine cat.
Faith-
“Thanks!” Faith was quivering in excitement, A FULL MEDICINE CAT!
Carlotta~
“Good for you!” Carlotta exclaimed.

Starflame padded through the back alleys of town making sure to stay out of sight. Ahead she saw an opening and heard voices, I’ll just look, no one will notice me, she thought. She went a bit closer until she saw many creatures, many looked battered and a few were bearing babies she could just make out the words, “Nali, Destiny, Hope….” It grew faint and she strained to hear more, she caught a few more words “I proclaim you warriors…” It trailed off again, but she caught the last words said, “This meeting is at an end.” Quickly, she turned away careful not to be spotted. She ducked into the alley she was living in and lay down, thinking. They must have some of those clan cats, and I saw that dog, Yuri, isn’t it? And Fireblaze? Yes, Fireblaze that hen. I wonder why they looked so battered? Maybe I should talk to them… No… There are so many, I couldn’t possibly just go talk with them, could I?
