*Ice*
Ice followed Shadow and pelted at full speed to help the other animals escape the tavern.
“Do you want to die?!” He yowls.
~Shadow~
“Of course they don’t want to die! In the alley, it’s safe!”
Yuri runs outside and looks up. Then, she looks at Shadow and Ice. “Have you seen the size of that meteor? It is not safe here, you two.” She points her nose towards the sky. A massive meteor was hurling towards the tavern, straight for the alleyway. “A hit by a meteor this big will surely… kill us all! No, we will run as far away as we can.” Suddenly, the meteor became faster, about 1,000 meters above from where they were standing. “Come on, you guys! Let’s go!”
-Roman-
“Run for my life!” Roman shouts, rushing ahead of everyone.
Molly-
Molly glances at the sky again. “The meteor is closer now,” she gasps.
~Shadow~
“Oh my, it looked smaller when it was farther away!” She exclaims, “I have to get back to my clan’s camp and warn the others about this we all need to evacuate!”
-Victoria-
Victoria rushes up to Shadow. “I’ll help you! Can I come, too?” the young hen asks.
*Ice*
“I’ll warn them Shadow, you stay here and help these guys get out!” he shouts.
~Shadow~
“No. I am their leader you stay here and i will go warn them i will bring them to the hills on the other side of town will you all meet us there?” She looked at the other animals “And Victoria you can come if you wish.”
-Victoria-
“Yaaayyy!” Victoria exclaimed, unable to contain her excitement. “I mean, I promise to be very, very helpful!” she added, making an effort to sound serious. But that moment didn’t last long, and she was soon bouncing up and down again.
“I’m on an important mission!” she proudly announced to Fireblaze before following Shadow.
-Fireblaze-
“Good, that means you’ll stay out of my feathers,” Fireblaze answered flatly, but deep down she was worried for her lively friend’s safety.
“Hey, Vicky,” she called, “stay safe, you- you’re a good friend.” But because she was worried that the others would hear, her words came out quiet. And besides, Victoria was already far away, running after Shadow. Fireblaze could only hope that she had heard.
And that she would return safely…
Fireblaze stared after Victoria for a while before turning to Yuri and Sandy. “Alright,” she took a deep breath, putting aside all worries to make room for thoughts, “Let’s head to the hills.”
Yuri called the other animals. “Follow me! Hurry, let’s go!” She bolted to the hills, the two chickens behind her. The other animals heard her, and most of them followed.
Molly-
“What if we don’t survive this?” whispered Molly softly.
*Ice*
“Don’t worry we will. And i think we should all swear to help each other in this.” He mewed decidedly, “I will.”
~Shadow~
“Good idea but we don’t have time we have to go!” She raised her voice “I will get my clan and meet you at the hills!”
She looked at Ice “Be safe,” she told him, “Remember we have to do this for the safety of the clan and even for the safety of our kits, they need a safe place to be born and raised I don’t know if that place can be here.”
Yuri glances at the Clan cats. “You should hurry. Go. Get your clan. I can handle this crowd.” She backs away from the tavern’s alley pawstep by pawstep, then nods. “I wish you both safe travels.” She barked softly but firmly.
-Victoria-
“Be safe,” Victoria echoed Shadow, “We have to do this for the safety.”
Then she paced around whispering quietly to herself, “We’re going on a mission. We’re going on a mission..”
“Don’t worry,” Rain said gently, brushing her wing against Molly comfortingly, “I’m sure we we’ll get through this. And you were the one who saw the meteor first,” she reminded her, “It’s thanks to you that we knew in time to get all the animals out safely.”
Molly-
Molly said, “I guess you’re right. Thanks, Rain.”
~Cody~
“It’s a meteor, everyone should be running faster.” She took one of the chickens from Raven. “Though I would gladly put this one at… ease if you would like.”
Molly-
“Dude! The chickens are our friends! Wait. Do you mean eating them?” Molly asked. “How rude!”
Yuri turned to face the two. “How dare you. They are our friends, and do not deserve this.” She growled. “Put the chicken down RIGHT NOW.” She barked firmly. “This is NOT a time to FIGHT. Our LIVES are on the line. So leave, run far away, and save yourselves, but let her GO.”
-Fireblaze-
Rage swept through Fireblaze. “Rethink that move!” she yelled, “Put her down before I make you!” Fireblaze was ready to launch herself at Cody, but stopped when Sandy touched her lightly on the shoulder. “Don’t,” she whispered, “that won’t do our friend any good.” Fireblaze silently realized that Sandy was right. Fighting might put the chicken in more danger. She marched away, still steaming, but managed to flash Molly and Yuri a grateful glance.
Yuri nodded back at Fireblaze and Sandy.
~Shadow~
“Ok. Ice c’mon we’ve got a clan to save and everyone we meet at the hills! Let’s go!”
*Ice*
Ice ran after Shadow hurrying to the alley where the clan lived, it was a good thing they were deputy and leader otherwise they would have had to make everyone believe that they were telling the truth. As they came up on the camp they heard cats muttering worriedly he wondered if they had seen the meteor. He paused, where was Victoria? “Shadow!” he called out “What?” came the reply “Where is Victoria?” He asked “Oh my I thought she was right behind me! We have to get her!” Shadow looked as if she was about to melt. “I’ll get her, the clan needs you Shadow. When I find her, and I won’t stop looking until I do, we’ll follow your trail and meet everyone at the hills.”
“Ok, fine.” Shadow was heading into the camp, “Just remember to be safe!” She called. Ice decided that the chicken couldn’t be too far away and so, he went the way they had come and soon picked up her scent.
-Victoria-
Victoria was staring up into a tree, her eyes narrowed in determination.

“Good lord, Cody.” Raven took the chicken back from her. “No eating the chickens.“
Molly-
“Or the cows,” added Molly.
Yuri turned to Raven and barked, somewhat annoyed. “Thank you.” She stood as she saw the meteor still hurling towards them. She knew they were not going to make it very far from the tavern if they just stood around. “Guys… let’s go! We have got to run if we are to survive! Come on!”
Molly-
Molly ran. Her lungs felt like they would burst but still she ran. Glancing behind her, she saw Yuri was indeed right: the meteor was very close. “We aren’t going to make it! We’d need a miracle to survive!”she said.
~Shadow~
Shadow walked into the camp and saw that all her clanmates were looking up. Her apprentice, Nali, was the first one to see her, “Shadow!” She exclaimed, “Your back! What happened we were all so worried! Where’s Ice? Did you guys see the huge rock falling-”
Shadow interrupted her, “There’s no time!” She leaped onto a garbage can and called to her clan, “There is a meteor coming! We must evacuate immediately! Head for the hills! Flower you take the lead! I’ll take the back and make sure no one is left behind! Elders in the middle apprentices in a ring around them! Warriors you form a ring around them! Now, go!” As she spoke all the cats got into place, when everyone was where they needed to be she gave the signal to go. Flower hurried in the direction of the hills with the clan streaming behind her. They traveled for a while then after what seemed like moons they were at the hills. They climbed up to the top and sat down to wait for the meteor to pass and for the others to arrive. While they were doing so, Shadow decided to tell her clanmates about what happened at the tavern, and about the other animals she and Ice had met while they had been patrolling the alleys. When she was done everyone was quiet and they curled up to wait more.
