Shadowstar lay upon the Moonledge. The stars glittered above and she scowled. Snow fell on the ground, fluffy and cold. Leaf-bare was here. The thing she’d enjoyed as a kit was now her greatest challenge. She watched as the Sun rose and the Clan came out of their nests and stretched their limbs.
