Hey! It’s Rubyshine! For today I am going to be covering some of the weirdest ships throughout the series. And let me just say that there are some pretty weird ones…okay, let’s get started! (I will be using their warrior names, not their leader names if they have one)
WARNING: Contains spoilers for TPB, TNP, PTT, OTS, AVS, TBC, and ASC.
Fireheart x Cinderpelt
Okay, so some of you might disagree that this was a ship, but I looked it up and it said that it was, so I’m basing it off of that. First of all, the first problem with this ship that pops into my mind is the age gap. Fireheart was an adult, and Cinderpelt was a kid…? I’ve never seen a ship like that. Seriously Erins, what were you thinking with that one? Also, Fireheart had nothing in common with Cinderpelt, so this ship didn’t even make any sense.
Fireheart x Sandstorm
Overall, this is a great ship. There is just one thing that confuses me: One day Sandstorm hates Fireheart, the next she is in love with him. She probably matured when she became a warrior, but the change was so sudden that it didn’t seem natural.
Nightheart x Sunbeam
So, for this arc I have only read until the book Thunder, so I am just saying the weirdness that I know of. Okay, so let’s skip to the part where Nightheart does his tasks to become a Shadowclan warrior. He purposely fails his last task so he can go back to Thunderclan, but that means he can’t be with Sunbeam, which shows that his love for her isn’t as strong as it should be. Sunbeam then feels so lonely that she tries to join Thunderclan even though Nightheart literally just left her. And for most of book 4 she is questioning herself if he actually loves her. So for this ship there is just so much uncertainty that I don’t see how they can be mates.
Graystripe x Silverstream
So, let me just say that I was really mad that in the Broken Code Graystripe chose Millie and Briar

Great article! I never picked up on FireXCinder and was very surprised once I saw it…
Nice article! But the age gap between Cinderpelt and Fireheart isn’t actually very bad. Fireheart was roughly six moons old when he came to ThunderClan, and Cinderpelt was one of Frostfur’s kits that were kidnapped by Clawface. In the second book, it hadn’t been too long since the kidnapping happened, and even though she was apprenticed early, Cinderpelt was only about five moons younger than Fireheart, and that’s not so bad (considering the age gaps of other ships).
*glares at Dustpelt x Ferncloud, with the who-knows-how-many moons age gap and them being related*
*cough cough* About 9-10 moons AND Dustpelt is literally Ferncloud’s uncle *cough cough*
The age gap is that small? I had always thought the age gap was more like 30-40 moons XD

Spottedleaf was 59 moons when she was killed, that’s about 4 years and nine months old in human years. FirePAW was barely 9 moons when she died. That means that when Firepaw came to the Clan when he was either 5 or 6 moons, Spottedleaf was already something like 53 moons, which is 4.42 human years. Yeahhhhh, that’s a lot…
Great Article! Sorry it got cut off:( I only agree with FirexCinder, but the reason for that is because I saw it as some small, one-sided crush instead of a deep love for each other, like FirexSand. I especially love romantic relationships where they hate each other and then love each other, but you just have a different opinion on that:) I don’t really care about age gaps, but PinexLeopard went way too far for me.
I was SO weirded out when I found out Pinestar and Leopardfoot were mates! Like, Pinestar is already Leader with many life’s lost when Leopardkit is born. My brain sorta went “eww, what were the Erin’s THINKING?”
The Cinderpelt and Fireheart thing is not as bad as Pinestar and Leopardfoot thing. Pinestar is 64 moons when he became mates with Leopardfoot, who probably was 12 moons or more that time. And there was Thornclaw and Blossomfall. Thornclaw was 122 moons while Blossomfall was like 58 moons.

Awesome article! One thing – Sandstorm stopped hating Fireheart because he saved her life and she started respecting him more 🙂 Thats probably why the change seemed more sudden
For Fireheart x Sandstorm, it’s not remembered by many people, Fireheart saves her life at the gorge, and the next day when Dustpelt is taunting Fireheart, Sandstorm doesn’t say or do anything, but at least not join the teasing.
Fireheart x Cinderpelt is definitley weird, and I acknowledge the age gap, too. Idk if you know this, but if u search it up, it says that Cinderpaw had a minor crush on sOmEbOdY oOoOoOoH. But for the record, also he was a young warrior when he got Cinderpaw to train.
