[a chibi design of Mapleshade]
Imagine this: You are suddenly banished from your clan. You try to take your half-clan kits with you, but they are swept away into the river as you try to get to your RiverClan mate, who is across the stepping stones. They where the most precious things to you, and now they are gone. Then your mate blames you for everything, claiming it was all your fault. RiverClan will not let you stay. Instead, they force you out of the territory, not even letting you bury your own kits. You then find out one of your clanmates watched as your kits drown without helping. What would you do?
This is what happened to Mapleshade, a warrior of ThunderClan. There are many opinions about her. First, I will state mine. She literally had to watch her own children die, trying to help them, but soon they where swept from her grasp. Some people may argue that she shouldn’t have taken them over the river in the first place, but where else would she have to go? She defilently wasn’t welcome in ThunderClan, and if her mate was in RiverClan, then yes, it did make sense to go over there. All Mapleshade wanted was to have a happy family. Sadly that did not happen, quite the opposite actually. But that wasn’t all. Appledusk, her illegal mate, blamed her entirely, and even took on another cat. RiverClan told Mapleshade to leave the territory, saying “the death of her kits was punishment enough”. Even though Riv is my favorite clan, I was still really mad about what happened. I honestly love Mapleshade. She is my favorite villian. Maybe it’s because of her complex past, and because she had more of a reason to be villian-ish. No, I am not saying she was right to kill those cats (though honestly Freckwish and Appledusk kinda deserved it), but don’t you think you would want revenge if your children where killed, too? Now that my opinion is down, why is there so many other arguments about this topic? Well, this reason may be because there is two ways to look at it. The first is that some people see a evil cat who was selfish and overated, while others see a heart-broken she-cat that lost everything. I see good stuff on each argument, but to tell the truth,
I
love
Mapleshade.
I AGREE WITH EVERYTHING MAPLESHADE DOES NOT DESERVE THSI HATE
Ravenwing’s death is COMPLETELY justified too ( SPOTTED KNEW ABOUT BLUE X OAK AND DIDN’T TELL ANYONE)
