My Thoughts on These Ships by Ravenpaw

Ravenpaw shares their thoughts on some controversial ships. What do you think?

Hi guys! Raven here to discuss some controversial ships. I’ll be giving my opinion on them, and although you might not agree with me, I hope you’ll stop and listen! (Or read, technically)

1. GreyXMillie or GreyXSilver
Honestly, here, I don’t really have a preference. Greystripe and Silverstream barely knew each other, while Greystripe and Millie bonded over time, but Millie was kind of a bad mother. I mean, at first she cared about all her kits, but then Briarlight got wounded and then Millie just didn’t care about her other kits anymore! She basically acted like they vanished off the face of the earth! That was the whole reason that Blossomfall went into the Dark Forest too! Imagine being the kind of mother who neglects her daughter enough that she goes into the Dark Forest!
2. CrowXFeather or CrowXLeaf
Okay, so I completely support Crowfeather and Feathertail. First of all, they went on the journey together, and everyone else just saw him as a grumpy, unfriendly apprentice. But Feathertail saw through that and really found a place in Crowfeather’s heart. Crowfeather even asked to be named in honour of Feathertail! Meanwhile, Leafpool comforted Crowfeather while Feathertail was gone, and suddenly they’re in love? When? WHEN? Leafpool and Crowfeather are kind of cute together, but I just support Feathertail and Crowfeather more.
3. DoveXTiger or DoveXBumble
Dovewing and Tigerstar. Just Dovewing and Tigerstar. Bumblestripe and Dovewing were cute while it lasted, but it was never really meant to be. I feel like Dovewing and Tigerstar truly loved each other, and like half of the reason Dovewing even liked Bumblestripe was because he was in the same clan with her. You should love someone for who they are, not where they are.
4. ClearXBright or ClearXStar
Honestly, can I just say how weird Star Flower and her relationships were? First she pretended to like Thunder, then betrayed him, and they got with his dad? Who does that? Literally who does that? Anyways, I like Clear Sky and Bright Stream more, probably because she was his first love. Idk, I just don’t really like the idea of getting with someone else because your past love died or something
5. FireXSand or FireXSpotted
I used to like Firestar and Spottedleaf more and absolutely detested Firestar and Sandstorm, but now I can’t believe I ever felt that way. Firestar walks in the clan, sees Spottedleaf, and then is just like, “I’m in love with you now!” And then, Spottedleaf, being older and a medicine cat, goes, “I’m in love with you too!” And then Spottedleaf dies and Firestar is heartbroken. Well, that was random. I like Firestar and Sandstorm because it’s kind of like rivals to lovers in the way that Sandstorm bullied him when he first got to camp, and then Firestar realised that her loved her sharp tongue and fell in love with her not immediately and randomly, but over time.
6. My Personal Favourite Ship
My favourite ship is Ferncloud and Dustpelt. I know they’re kind of like a background couple, but they are just sooooo adorable! Dustpelt was so protective of Ferncloud when she was an apprentice, and Dustpelt’s kind of grumpiness paired with Ferncloud’s soft and sympathetic personality is just perfect. I actually cried while reading The Last Hope, especially when Dewkit and Amberkit were like, “Why is Ferncloud asleep?” “She’s just tired from the fighting, silly. Dustpelt will wake her up.” It just shows how innocent the kits are, and it breaks my heart every time I read Dustpelt saying, “I could have saved her. I would have.”
