Hi there! It’s Embers here and this is my first article. Be warned because this article has SPOILERS!!! Today I will be defending least liked warrior cats of BlogClan, but this will probably be the worst written article in the history of articles./j
1. Appledusk
Appledusk is usually blamed for dumping Mapleshade when she got exiled from her clan and when her kits drowned. Yes, that’s bad, but he didn’t really have a choice. Besides, he already had Reedshine, and it was either go get exiled with Mapleshade, who he thought killed his kits, or live in his clan happily with another mate and never break the warrior code again. Also, he realized he had broken the warrior code and asked for forgiveness, but Mapleshade just swore vengeance on her clan.
2. Ashfur
Ashfur was pretty evil, but the core of his wickedness came from when Squirrelflight rejected him. After all, Squirrelflight had just begin to like him when Brambleclaw came in. And anyways, he threatened to kill Squirrelflight’s kits to punish him, but then Squirrelflight denied those kits were hers. Next in The Broken Code, he posseses Bramblestar and tortured a lot of cats. That makes me think that Ashfur was probably really hurt and angry when Squirrelflight rejected him. Also another thing people really blame him for is killing Bristlefrost. But he never did, because Bristlefrost was the one who tried to kill him when he was coincidentally trying to kill Shadowsight(after all, nobody really likes Shadowsight), and both cats died in the attempt.
3. Dovewing
Not much cats hate Dovewing that much, but Dovewing is usually hated for complaining about everything while Ivypool trains hard in the Dark Forest and comes back after spying every night with scratches and bites. But in my opinion, I think Dovewing is brave and loyal and she helped free the water too. She was also brave at the Dark Forest battle. So maybe she isn’t really as lazy as some people says she is.
4. Spottedleaf
Why does everyone hate Spottedleaf she is the best:(
Okay so I think everyone dislikes her because of her relationship with Firestar, but really, is that so important after all? She was really really kind and friendly and even saved Sandstorm’s life even though she had the life Spottedleaf wanted!

Anyways, great article! I still hate all of them except Spottedleaf (She’s just kinda there, idk lol) But I don’t hate them as much!
There was just a huge discussion of Ashfur in the Elders’ Den. I’m not going to repeat the arguments here, but there was a pretty general consensus that Ashfur is indefensible. Sure he was “really hurt and angry,” we all are at times, but that does not excuse his crimes.
Yeah, pretty sure being rejected by your crush isn’t exactly grounds for *deep breath*:
Attempting to murder her dad/leader (Sunset)
Her adopted kids (Long Shadows)
Attempting to ruin her life by telling everyone her secret (Also Long Shadows)
Possessing her actual mate (Lost Stars)
Starting a war over “code-breakers” causing the deaths of several more cats (Veil of Shadows)
Mind control (The Place of No Stars)
Killing even more cats before finally being tossed in the murder-mud (A Light in the Mist)
YES, I LOVE DOVEWING! DOVEWING! DOVEWING! DOVEWING!
Ashfur will never be a good guy. I like him but he’s not a good guy. I hate him for everything he’s worth (a penny) but he’s a character I like having around when he’s not like he was in The Broken Code. Also, thank you Sandytuft for listen all of the things he did.
Pretty sure he’s worth less than a mound of dirt, but yeah. Also, thanks for the shout out Featherstorm!
Also, I slightly blame him for Bristlefrost’s death. Also…

SHE COULD’VE BEEN SUCH A GIRLBOSS-
1. I don’t think that Appledusk is a terrible cat. I see him as morally gray, as many characters in this series are. He cheated on Mapleshade and Reedshine by effectively being mates with both at the same time (before he told Darkstar not to let Mapleshade into RiverClan), and not letting either know. However, he did ultimately choose Reedshine in the end, and died for her and their unborn kits.
2. Regardless of rejection, Ashfur had absolutely no right to react the way he did when rejected by Squirrelflight. Squirrelflight shouldn’t have been forced to become mates with Ashfur. If he was hurt by the rejection, he should’ve come to terms with that himself instead of taking it out on everyone else.
3. I don’t think Dovewing is lazy or complains too much. Most of her problems were important ones, and I don’t see anything wrong with her being upset about the things she was upset about.
4. I don’t dislike Spottedleaf. I believe that Firestar’s crush on her when he was an apprentice was unrequited on his side, and that Spottedleaf only fell for him much later when she was dead, when he was an actual warrior, as she showed no romantic interest towards him when she was alive.

Also Ashfur is definitely in the wrong. I love him with all my villain loving heart, don’t get me wrong. He is genuinely a terrible person though. (he is still my child you cannot steal him)

Cool article! I like Appledusk, but I disagree on some of your points. Firstly… I LOVE SHADOWSIGHT WHAT ARE YOU SAYING 😭😭😭 Also nothing, literally nothing, can justify what Ashfur did. His actions weren’t love and Squirrelflight is not to blame at all.
Great article however imma just say..
1. Squirrelflight has more worth than a cybertruck, and Ashfur is as worthless as a dead plant.
2. SHADOWSIGHT DID NOTHING WRONG. Shadowsight had only just gotten his medcat name when Ashfur tried to kill bramblestar in the snow using him. Shadowsight took the vision he got as ” a solution” and was only trying to help.
3. I never read mapleshade’s vengeance, but Ive heard enough about it to say that Appledusk was like the only cat who took a cat from another clan as a mate, cheated on them, and ultimately chose his clanmate. Please correct me if this has or has not happened before.
4. Dovewing.. I just cant agree- I dislike Dovewing because she is insensitive.. And because she is actually kinda dumb- Like how she said she was blind and deaf after she lost her powers, and how she acted in ivypools heart are both examples of her insenstitivity- I dont wanna get yelled at by the dovewing fans tho so im not gonna say why I think she’s dumb xD
5. SPOTTEDLEAF WAS A FULL GROWN MEDICINE CAT AND FIRESTAR WAS BARELY 6 MOONS OLD WHEN THEY- istg I just dont understand how people can ship them with that age gap though.. Also I just dislike spottedleaf not for any particular reason. *sniffs* im only not saying it bc its personal-

Again, why defend a cat who allowed his obsessiveness to be creepy? Whenever a husband acts possessive of his wife on the news, everyone hates him, but when it comes to Ashfur, people just throw that knowledge out the window. And why bother trying to hate cats like Shadowsight just to find a way to defend Ashfur it’s not really fair for Shadowsight since he was manipulated by him. And killing Shadowsight was overkill and Bristlefrost died to save him. Pretty much faded from existence (I have Ivypool’s Heart I will say nothing). Saying that Bristlefrost died from existence to save a cat’s life who “didn’t matter”,is dishonoring her death. Also, most of the fandom loves Shadowsight.
Appledusk chose HIS CLAN OVER TRUE LOVE?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!? sry but I don’t agree
In his defense, if someone ever told me their true love is Mapleshade… let’s just say I’d have concerns.
