Hello, I’m Azaleapaw, and I will be using Google Translate to translate warrior names into Latin and back to English. Let’s get started!
Berryheart-
The Latin translation of Berry heart is bacca cor tuum. And when I translated it back, I got berry your heart. I don’t know how it got like that. Berryheart, stop burying your heart!
Frostpaw-
In Latin, Frost paw is gelu pede. If you switch it back, it’s…. cold feet! Frostpaw really needs to warm up her paws…
Thriftear-
Thriftear translated is parsimoniae aurum. And translated back to English, somehow, is…. the gold of thrift! I didn’t know that Thriftear was a treasure hunter.
Shadowsight-
In latin, Shadow sight is umbra aspectus. I got… Shadow aspect!
Mapleshade-
Mapleshade translates to acer umbra. In latin, I got… sharp shadow!
Mothwing-
I got tinea cornu…. Translating to horn moth! That sort of makes sense…
Bristlefrost-
Bristlefrost translates to seta pruina; in turn, that translates to brush frost
Appledusk-
Appldusk is pomum vesperum, which translates to evening apple!
Dovewing–
Dovewing is columbae cornu… which translates to dove’s horn!
Graypool-
Graypool translates to griseo piscinam. In English, that would be…. gray tank! That makes sense… sort of.
Reedshine-
In Latin, Reedshine is calamus luceat. If her name is translated back, it is… let the pen shine! Interesting, I didn’t know that warrior cats made pens.
Flipclaw-
Flipclaw will translate to flip unguibus. That is… flip the claws!
Rootspring-
Rootspring is… radix fons! And that would be… root source. Root source.
Harrybrook-
In Latin, Harrybrook is… populandos torrentis. If I translate it back, it’s the people of the torrent! Interesting…
Violetshine-
For the first translation, I got hyacintho lucat. Translated back, I got…. it shines blue! Apparently Violetshine is blue now.
Owlnose-
Owlnose is ibis nasus. I got… there goes the nose! Owlnose really needs to hang on to his nose.
Splashtail-
Splash tail translates to fundent cauda. If I translate is again, it is…. they shed their tails! He sort of deserves it, at this point.
So, there you have it! Google Translate making warrior names absolutely ridiculous. I hope you enjoyed it!
FLIP THE CLAWS IM DYING
Great article!
This was so funny 😀
Great article! Although I doubt some of these were real- I know google translate has evolved a bit over time so the translations might be a bit off from today’s time but yeah-
Oh yeah I wrote this in August so that makes sense 🙂
Great article! This was hilarious :))
Rootspring-
Rootspring is… radix fons! (So Happy) And that would be… root source. Root source. (Completly Done and slowly dies in seat.)
Best one by far! (Now I’m really concerned for Latin and English 😅)
Great article! It’s funny 😆 i’m sure Frost paw will warm up her paws
I sure do hope so!
Captain Thriftear, treasure tracker! I’d love to play that video game XD

Let the pen shine! (End of a college graduation speech for an English major)
This idea is really fun! I found the names funny and loved Splashtail specifically.
