This will be a discussion page for my character Sophia.
Sophia is a spirited thirteen-year-old hen who is one of Fireblaze’s best friends. Always friendly and optimistic, she is very kind and loyal to her friends as well as other chickens, and she stands up for fairness. She has shown a lot of wisdom and kindness. Despite having strong opinions, Sophia respects other chickens’ views, even if they disagree with her own, and believes it’s good that different chickens think differently. She can, however, show a feisty side if anyone tries to hurt her flock. She believes everyone should be themselves, and is not afraid to appear weird or different. Very brave and loyal to her flockmates, she would sacrifice herself to save another chicken.

Fireblaze sighed. Once again, she had messed up.
Her feathers bristled with disappointment and anger at herself.
“Hey,” Sophia padded up to the miserable hen, noticing her agitation, “Take it easy.”
“I can’t,” Fireblaze huffed, letting her shoulders droop, “I made too many mistakes!”
“Fire,” Sophia looked at her, her eyes like deep brown pools of clear, shining water.
“Stop trying to be perfect. You will never be perfect. Only Jesus is.” Her voice was intense but soft. “And you can stop trying to be good, too.”
Fireblaze glanced at her.
“You are already good, Fire. You are good enough just by being you so stop trying so hard,” there was affection in her smile.
“I know,” Fireblaze agreed, “But there’s always room for improvement…”
“There is, but don’t rush it,” Sophia touched her lightly on the shoulder, “We can’t grow up in one day.”
She took a pace back to look at Fireblaze. “Just be a good chicken. Trust me- that’s enough.”
Sophia’s clear gaze burning into hers once more, Fireblaze found herself nodding, feeling a weight lift from her.
I love how supportive Sophia is of Fireblaze <3
