  • Flameclan! They’re here!
I sniffed the air. Remember all that training, I thought, then leapt into the battle. A brown blue-grey tom leapt at me. I quickly dodged his attack and raked my claws down his flank. He yowled, and retreated. I stared around the camp, looking around for any of my clanmates that needed help. Then I noticed Coldstar’s claws were sheathed. It was obvious she didn’t want to attack Flameclan. And I think I knew why. But I knew I’d support my leader no matter what, so I sheathed my claws.
Then I heard that Flamestar was hurt. I saw an apprentice shielding him. I darted over. “Get him out of here.” I said sharply. “What?” he asked, obviously confused over why I was helping him. “Now!” I snarled. He obeyed, and dragged his leader out of our camp. I stared at the cats retreating. I was about to head back to check on the medicine cats when I felt a sharp pain. A Flameclan cat had jumped on me and was clawing my neck. I wasn’t prepared. Everything went fuzzy. The last thing I saw was Ice and Roseshadow chasing him off.
    Then everything went black.
When I woke up, there was a black-furred she-cat standing before me. Her yellow eyes were focused intensely on me. “What’s going on?” I asked. She motioned with her tail to look behind me. I turned.
There was the dark silhouette of a cat sitting on the edge of a pool. Somehow, I knew it was a she-cat. She was gracefully dipping her paw into the water. Grace…paw? I thought. But what does it mean? What’s even happening?
Then, there was a flash of light. I heard a terrified yowl, which I assumed to belong to the cat. Scared, I tried to see what had happened, but the light was too bright. Before I drifted back into the darkness, I had one thought.
    Something’s going on with Gracepaw.
    But… what?

    • (How did you know it was a she-cat, not a tom? This part > There was the dark silhouette of a cat sitting on the edge of a pool. She was gracefully dipping her paw into the water. )

  • Flowerpaw sprang to her paws upon seeing the FlameClan attack. She had to get involved! She headed toward FlameClan, when she felt a presence. This presence distracted her, as she stopped walking toward FlameClan. Who’s there? She wondered. Just then she was pounced on by Rustpaw. She decided the presence was just Rustpaw, who looked at her with an angry face. He looked like he was about to bite her neck, so she broke free and scratched his nose. This made Rustpaw look angrier, and he scratched Flowerpaw’s hind legs, making her fall. She thought that he’d won. “You fight well for an apprentice like me,” she hissed. She then got back up. “But I fight better.” Flowerpaw jumped up and kicked Rustpaw’s chest, causing him to fall onto his back. Flowerpaw held him down. She then caught sight of Rustpaw’s mentor, Pineprickle, who was staring at them, looking surprised. As soon as Pineprickle noticed Flowerpaw staring back, her surprised face turned into a sorry and embarrassed face. Was she embarrassed about her apprentice attacking Flowerpaw so roughly? Flowerpaw looked down at Rustpaw, laughing about how his mentor might just be embarrassed because of him. “FlameClan, retreat!” yowled Sunfall. “Flamestar’s injured!” Flowerpaw let Rustpaw go, and he looked as embarrassed as his mentor. “Flowerpaw, I-” she didn’t want to hear what Rustpaw had to say. She didn’t want to forgive him! She went inside the apprentice’s den, trying to lay down and get some rest. Just then she felt the presence again. You have a special destiny, young one… said a voice. What? Special destiny? Flowerpaw couldn’t believe what she just heard. I’m probably just hearing things after such a battle, she thought. You’re not hearing things, Flowerpaw, whispered the voice. Just close your eyes and try to fall asleep, and you will see my face. Flowerpaw continued to think she was hearing things. What has that mouse-brained FlameClan apprentice done to my ears? However, she was tired, so she tried to fall asleep anyway. She woke up in front of a starry and beautiful waterfall. “Hello, Flowerpaw.” the voice she was hearing made Flowerpaw jump. She wasn’t hearing things after all! She turned around and saw a starry pale brown tabby with their eyes the darkest shade of blue Flowerpaw had ever seen. “Soon,” said the tabby. “you will have to leave SnowClan and – not even StarClan sees where you’re supposed to go just yet.”

  • FlameClan was attacking! “We’re under attack!” Pinestripe yowled, hoping that her warning would give all the Warriors a chance to be ready.
Heart pounding, Pinestripe leaped down from the ledge to protect the camp and jumped swiftly into battle.

    • YaY! (mismatched capital letters on purpose lol) Now the story of my prophecy can go just how I want it to.

  • Goldenkit let of a squeak of fear as she peeked out of the nursery, peering out of the nursery. Everywhere she looked, cats dueled with each other, clawing out each other’s fur. Crouching lower in her nest, she felt hopelessness rising in her chest. I should be fighting out there. Making up her mind, she was about to leap out of her nest when a cat’s scent drifted into her nose. Who is that? Thinking that it was a Flameclan warrior, she hissed and bushed out her fur. Whirling around, Goldenkit wilted when she realized it was a ghost. Typical. They keep popping up all the time. Since opening her eyes, she had seen many ghosts. It didn’t matter if she knew them; they came to her anyway. She tried to keep this strange power secret, but sometimes cats would glance at her strangely if Goldenkit took up a conversation with a ghost, sometimes forgetting that SHE was the only cat who could see them.Stupid Sisters. As the battle ended, Goldenkit flopped back into her nest with a grunt.
(If no one understands, basically Goldenkit is a descendant of The Sisters from Squirrelflight’s Hope, which means that she can see ghosts 😛 )

    • Gracepaw padded into the nursery. “Goldenkit, are you okay?” She meowed. Goldenkit popped her head out from her nest. “Yeah.” Goldenkit hopped out of the nest. “But never mind that. Play with me, only the ghosts come to visit me.” Goldenkit pleaded. “Alright, alright.” Gracepaw licked the top of the kit’s head. I can’t believe it; she sees GHOSTS?
“Goldenkit,” She mewed as casually as she could. “Do the ghosts have stars in their fur?” Goldenkit looked up from where she was gathering a moss ball. “Nope!”
Huh. Then they aren’t StarClan cats.
Here!” Goldenkit batted at the moss-ball she had made.
“Okay!” Gracepaw hooked it with her claw and tossed it across the clearing.
Goldenkit is special. Maybe she’ll be a medicine cat? But then, again, most of the kits want to be warriors.
Gracepaw was forced out of her thoughts by Goldenkit’s moss-ball attack.

  • Oh no! FlameClan’s attacking!
Coldstar ran to the nursery. Is Goldenkit protected? She thought. I wanted to make her an apprentice soon.
She ran to the nearest FlameClan warrior and bit down hard on his tail, making sure it was’nt Flamestar. I hope Flamestar’s ok she thought. She then saw Flamestar, battling Ice. Strangely, he seemed sad and.. like he didn’t want to attack. He’s going to lose a life if he doesn’t do anything! She threw herself in between them. I ll handle this! I yell to Ice. Coldstar? Flamestar said, opening his emerald eyes. Coldstar, no I don’t want to attack anyone in your Clan.. espically you .. he whispered. I stared at him in shock. B-but then why are you here? Firefeather had a prophecy. . I couldn’t do anything. He said quietly. I was stricken. He didn’t want to attack us? Why? Did.. no wait but maybe. .. did he like me too? I stared at him. His emerald eyes stared back at me, and I felt like he could see everything in my soul. Like he could see my sadness, my anger and.. my love for him. Fine I say. Then don’t. I turn to run into the fight. Wait, Coldstar will you meet at our border sometime? I stare at him (in shock) again. O-ok I say and run out to the nursery. Pinestripe, go help the apprentices! Pinkflame, go to the medicine den and help Rainingbreeze and Gracepaw! SnowClan attack but don’t spill blood unless you have to. Suddenly Sunfall’s screech echoes across the camp. FlameClan, reatreat! Flamestar is injured!
Oh no! I thought in dismay. StarClan, help him!

  • I want to go hunting for a little by myself I announce.
I creep along, careful to make sure the prey can’t hear me. Suddenly, there’s a noise. A loud one. The mouse runs into its burrow. I whirl around, furious. Then I see Flamestar. He’s limping a bit and he looks tired but excited and happy. Flamestar? I whisper. What are you doing? I had to see you, he replies. You mouse-brain! I say, happy and angry. What if someone sees us? I don’t care, he replies. I want to be with you. We are going to meet at the gathering hollow after tomorrow at moonhigh then youll see me! And what about your Clan? They think I’m on patrol he sighs. I love you Coldstar. I-I love you too I say and then run into the bracken.
The rest of the day I’m distracted. I send Moonpaw and Goldenkit on patrol and then Pinestripe reminds me Goldenkit is still a kit. Whoops I say. Why so distracted, Coldstar? She asks nothing, I say, shifting my paws.

  • It was the new moon night. Gracepaw anxiously licked her fur, smoothing down tufts that were sticking up. She stood up, and made sure no one was looking, before sneaking out the dirtplace way. She sighed as she gazed at the moonless sky. I’m not supposed to be doing this. She felt as if her heart was being torn in two, between the warrior and medicine cat code and Flashpaw.
Gracepaw arrived at the Gathering Hollow. “Flashpaw?” Her voice faltered as she called out.
“I’m here.” A tail tapped her shoulder. Flashpaw purred and pressed his muzzle against hers. “I’m so glad you could make it.” She pulled away, feeling strange. “It feels strange for me too.” Flashpaw murmured. “But all that is erased by the happiness of being with you.” Gracepaw shook her head, and sat down.
“Um. I know this is a sensitive topic, but do you like me? I mean, you haven’t actually told me yet.” Flashpaw’s eyes bored into hers. She quickly dropped her gaze.
“………….Yes.” Her voice was so low, it could hardly have been heard. Gracepaw wanted to hide in a hole.
Flashpaw’s eyes glittered with relief. He settled down beside her. “Why we attacked today… It was because Firefeather had a prophecy. One of two burning stalks, one surrounded by snow, and another that was not, which the one not surrounded by the snow faded while the one surrounded by snow moved its flame to the snow and lived on.” He explained.
It was getting colder. Flashpaw pressed his fur against Gracepaw’s, trying to keep her warm. “We should be getting back to our clans before anyone notices we’re gone.” Flashpaw mewed, craning his neck and pressing his face into her shoulder fur. “Alright.” She stood up reluctantly. She had secretly enjoyed his company, and she would be sad to go. “See you around, Flashpaw.” Gracepaw then turned around and padded away.
