    • Gracepaw settled down beside Rainpaw. “Today’s the three-quarter moon night, so in a quarter moon.” She had brought a vole along, her favorite land prey. She loved trout the most though.

        • (waitaminute, you haven’t gone to FlowerClan, how would you know about Stonepaw? Anyways:)
“Yeah, I know.” Gracepaw said breezily, though not too much, so that it wouldn’t seem like she was showing affections for Flashpaw, but also so that it wouldn’t seem like she was trying to hide affections for him. But inside, she was thinking furiously, about all the possible scenarios, where, Flashpaw liked Rainpaw over her. She shook herself mentally. “But, taking a mate from outside the clan is against the warrior code… and taking a mate is also against the medicine cat code.” She paused, thoughtfully. “I don’t think my talks will match up with the warrior apprentices, so I’m looking forward to meeting the other medicine cat apprentices.

          • “Oh, Gracepaw,” Rainpaw purred. “I said that some toms were good looking and you’re talking about mating. You can still think that some cats are attractive even as a med cat.” Rainpaw finished her shrew and got up. “How did you sleep the last couple nights?” she asked casually.
( maybe rainpaw heard from people that went to gatherings or something about a gray cat with green eyes who tends to fall off of things :P)

        • Blossompaw trotted over with a mouse. “Yeah, I’d like to meet some other apprentices.” She bit into her prey. “Do you reckon they’re nice?”

  • “What are you hiding from us?” Flamestar said. “I’ll never tell. No matter what.” Stripepaw growled “How about now?” He racked his claws on her face and hit her eye. It hurt very much, but she wouldn’t show her weakness to Flamestar. “I said i’ll never tell.” His eyes glowed with fury and anger. “I know you will now.”Again he slashed her but on her stomach. She wanted to scream and kick, but they wanted a reaction from her. She couldn’t see out of her eye and her stomach burned like crazy. “NO!” Stripepaw screamed, then blacked out.

    • Gracepaw noticed that Stripepaw was jerking in her sleep. “Stripepaw? Are you okay?” She placed a paw on Stripepaw’s flank. “Yowch!” She hissed. “Rainingbreeze, Stripepaw is burning up!”

Stripepaw was moved to the medicine cat den. Gracepaw chewed up feverfew into a pulp, and then mixed it with heather nectar, so it was easier to swallow. She crouched, and gently massaged the apprentice’s throat, trying to get Stripepaw to swallow it.
“What else should we do?” She sat up. Rainingbreeze shook her head.
“I don’t know what else we should do. I’ve never seen this sickness.” Gracepaw’s jaw dropped. “But.. But medicine cats know everything, with the guide of StarClan.”
“I’m afraid not even StarClan can help Stripepaw now.”
“Then I’ll help her.” Gracepaw declared.
Rainingbreeze stared at her. “You’re kidding.”
“No I’m not. I’m not about to let a clanmate die.” She retorted.
Rainingbreeze blinked gently. “There’s nothing we can do.”
“I will save her.” She growled stubbornly.
“Alright, alright, you can try.” Rainingbreeze looked on as Gracepaw picked out herbs from the store.
“Feverfew, borage, lavender, sweet-sedge, marigold, nettle, tansy…..” She muttered, trying to pick out the best ones. She mixed up marigold, sweet-sedge, and feverfew into a herb mix, before feeding it to Stripepaw. About an hour later, she made another herb mix, this time out of nettle, tansy, and marigold. Another hour later, she did lavender, borage, and marigold. She repeated the three treatments over, and over, and over.
“Hang in there, Stripepaw.” Gracepaw murmured in Stripepaw’s ear. She kept vigil over Stripepaw the whole night.

The next day, Gracepaw was so tired. Rainingbreeze noticed, and told her, “Rest, Gracepaw. You need to keep your strength up; You don’t want to get sick yourself.”
So, she obediently laid down in her nest, and drifted off to sleep.
It had only seemed like a couple minutes when a paw poked her. “Wake up.” She opened her eyes just slightly, and saw Rainingbreeze. She grunted and heaved herself up onto her paws. She was about to make another herb mix when a paw stopped her. “Go outside. Take a walk.” Rainingbreeze meowed gently. She reluctantly stumbled outside, before going out to the forest. She padded around, when she found a patch of flowers she had never seen before, with bright orange and blue petals, with light green stems. For some reason, she felt compelled to pick the flowers. She rolled them up into a bundle. Her paws suddenly felt light.
“I’m back.” Gracepaw made her way into the medicine cat den. But Rainingbreeze was sleeping. She carefully picked up a flower, and as if she knew what to do all along, she started to pick the petals and grind them up naturally. She fed it to Stripepaw.
Rainingbreeze woke up. “How’s Stripepaw?” Her mentor yawned. “I found this herb in the forest, and when I grinded the petals, and fed it to Stripepaw, it had a good effect.” She reported. “I believe StarClan led me to it.” Rainingbreeze looked curious. “What is this unknown herb?” She asked. Gracepaw picked one up and placed it in front of her mentor. “Wow. So it’s this herb.” Rainingbreeze observed the flower. “And the petals are useful, right?” She nodded. “Alright, let’s try it.”
Once each day, the two medicine cats gave Stripepaw the flower. The apprentice gradually got better, until she could walk. She lost an eye though, to the sickness.
“Alright, I think Stripepaw is well enough. She’s a strong apprentice, she’ll be fine, even with one eye. Let me report to Coldstar, so that she won’t worsen Stripepaw, when she is almost completely better.” Rainingbreeze announced.

At the next half-moon meeting, the medicine cats chattered with each other. “Stripepaw, one of our apprentices, had a mysterious sickness.” Rainingbreeze told SmokeClan’s medicine cat, Ashstripe. “But Gracepaw healed her with this new herb she found. What did you call the herb and the sickness again?” Rainingbreeze turned to her. “Um, I called the sickness the Burning Sickness, and the herb the Sunset Petal.” “What’s all this I hear about a new sickness and a new herb?” Firefeather, FlameClan’s medicine cat, padded over. “Oh, let me tell you……”

    • (Gracepaw noticed that Stripepaw was jerking in her sleep. “Stripepaw? Are you okay?” She placed a paw on Stripepaw’s flank. “Yowch!” She hissed. “Rainingbreeze, Stripepaw is burning up!” Um, Stripepaw, can I make it so that you were dreaming, and you had like a high fever? <That is the beginning of the paragraph I was thinking about<)

  • Moonpaw followed Rainpaw, and sat down not far from the other cats, without graving a piece of prey. She felt too sick and too confused to eat.
“I’m going to go hunting.” She decided.
I’ve been needing some fresh air. She added silently.

      • Well, I’m going hunting, Stripepaw is sleeping and Gracepaw and Rainpaw are talking

      • (You haven’t missed much, except for the long FlowerClan update, and the recently realized fact that a lot of cats like to eavesdrop on Gracepaw and Flashpaw’s (so-called) secret meetings XD)

    • Rainpaw sat down on the green grass and looked around at the other cats. Sunfall, Echocliff, Dawnpaw,Firefeather, Flashpaw, Shadowmoon, Stonepaw. The side of her mouth twitched up into a smirk as she remembered their previous encounter. Stonepaw looked at her and he also gave a tiny smile, recognizing her. Rainpaw turned her attention back to the leaders. “Prey is running well….prepared for leaf bare…” She looked over at Flashpaw and saw him with a she-cat who she was pretty sure was Wingpaw. But doesn’t Flashpaw like Gracepaw? Rainpaw wondered. She looked over at Gracepaw who looked slightly uncomfortable. Soon the gathering was over and Rainpaw ran up to Gracepaw after she talked to Flashpaw. “Gracepaw, why was Flashpaw with another she-cat?” she whispered, a little angry at Flashpaw.
