• Wolfstrike-

Wolfstrike had just finished organizing all of the patrols for today. Prey was running well… for only BoneClan, of course.
Thanks to the Dark Forest cats who are helping us! Like Honeyblaze and Lilyfang. We will be able to crush the other Clans soon, and BoneClan will be on top.
Where it belongs.

• Wolfstrike-
“Here we are,” she mumbled, letting go of Minnowstar. “Umph. You’re a lot heavier than I expected.”

• Minnowstar-

Minnowstar sat down, careful not to disturb her injured leg. “Don’t look so surprised; when you sent the Dark Forest to kill our prey, you forgot to teach them how to fish.” She meowed, slowly shifting her gaze between Cloudsight and Wolfstrike.

• Wolfstrike-
“True, but herb destruction and few rotting mice in the river still gets somewhere, though,” Wolfstrike replied with a shrug. “So,” she continued, turning to Cloudsight, “where do you think we should keep her?”

• Cloudsight-
“We could take her to my den, for the moment at least,” Cloudsight replied, nodding towards the medicine cat den. “I have to make sure my herbs are properly organized anyway, and it would be best if we can both stay in the same spot to keep her under control.”
“But I suspect we won’t have too much trouble,” they added, walking towards their den, “And even if we do, she still has three legs left.”

• Wolfstrike-
She has three legs left. She can still run, technically, if she gets used to it. Wolfstrike shrugged off the thought. We’ll be guarding her, and she won’t get used to it. She picked up Minnowstar by the scruff again and started dragging her toward the medicine den. All of the dragging probably wasn’t helping the RiverClan leader’s leg, but since that wasn’t exactly at the top of Wolfstrike’s priority list, she did it anyway.

• Minnowstar-

“One wasn’t enough?” Minnowstar muttered to herself, watching Wolfstrike in the corner of her eye. She recoiled as the BoneClan deputy moved to grab her scruff again, and she let out a soft hiss to express her discomfort. Nevertheless, she didn’t doubt the validity of Cloudsight’s threat, so she reluctantly allowed herself to be dragged to the medicine den.
“Be careful! If you aren’t going to treat my wounds, you could at least try not to give me more!” Minnowstar growled as packed dirt scraped against her legs. On this line of thinking, she noticed that her dislocated leg didn’t hurt nearly as much anymore; though she had a feeling it wouldn’t stay that way for long. It was a rather major injury, after all.
I suppose I’ll find out soon enough, if they don’t kill me before then.

(To the medicine den tab?)

• (Okay!)

Wolfstrike-

“Try lifting your legs up, then,” she suggested, before realizing that if Minnowstar did that, Wolfstrike would likely fall on her face- taking the leader’s full weight probably wasn’t something she could handle. That wouldn’t be pleasant for either of them.

• Wolfstrike-
“Shadowpaw! SHADOWPAW!” she yowled. “Shadowpaw?” Is he in the apprentices’ den, maybe? Or out of camp, like Cloudsight said… what does he do all day?

• After a while of walking and occasionally stopping to scent the air,Lilyfang arrived at the BoneClan camp. She walked over to the medicine cat den and poked her head in.

• Lilypaw-
She limped into camp, pain shooting up her leg with every step at this point. She couldn’t bring herself to look at it. Will they kick me out of camp for this? She paused a moment before stumbling over to the medicine cat den.

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang nodded to Lilypaw as she walked out of the medicine den and then sat down near the entrance. She didn’t smell and ThunderClan scents yet,but knew it was only a matter of time.

• Bloodhound-

Bloodhound’s ear twitched as a raven landed on a branch just above them. Even through closed eyes, they could see it’s black feathers gleaming wickedly in the moonlight. They listened intently as the sleek black bird gripped the tree with it’s needle-like talons, folded it’s wings, and let out a harsh caw, jolting them awake. They opened their eyes to the dark of night, allowing their senses to return to them. The smell of freshly fallen rain permeated the air, swamping the scents of prey and other cats. It occurred to Bloodhound that the trail they’d left in RiverClan territory had likely washed away as well, leaving every trace of their presence in unfriendly territory decimated.
Good. One step closer to victory.
Bloodhound slowly rose from their sleeping position, carefully balancing on the tree branch below them. As they did, their face twisted into a grimace; they had been on this very perch since Minnowstar had been captured, and now their muscles were suffering the consequences. Unsheathing their claws, they gripped the tree bark and slowly leaned back in a somewhat painful stretch. They winced as their muscles screamed in protest, but decided that it had been worth it; they hadn’t wanted to fight RiverClan, just cripple them.
But I have been dormant long enough. Shall we see how my Clan fares?
The raven cawed, as if in agreement.
Bloodhound dropped out of the tree, reeling slightly at the impact. The raven flew away at the sudden motion, soaring in the direction of BoneClan’s camp. Recovering from the shock, Bloodhound followed the direction the bird had traveled: past a bloodstained twig from when Lilyfang had slashed at Minnowstar’s face, through the trampled foliage where Cloudsight and Wolfstrike had carried her, and over a small rise. The BoneClan camp was just ahead now. Bloodhound caught a few more scents; Lilypaw and Lilyfang had passed through recently, but the patrol had not yet arrived. Curious at the events that had occurred in their absence, Bloodhound stalked through the entrance tunnel, their paws gliding over the heavily packed soil of the camp floor.
They emerged into their camp, coming face to face with a familiar ghostly cat near the entrance. “Greetings, Lilyfang.” They meowed, dipping their head in acknowledgment. They quickly scanned the clearing, finding that only the Dark Forest’s third in command was visible. “Where are the others? Not dead, I hope; I made sure there were no tensions when I left to avoid such a situation.”
Bloodhound had, in fact, caused tensions themselves, but no cat knew that.
I may be a coward, but only because I know my weaknesses… However, I also know my strengths.
They smiled, recalling how effective they’d been in sabotaging the other Clans so far. Most recently, they’d left RiverClan leaderless, granting BoneClan the perfect opportunity to invade. They just couldn’t tell anyone about their role. If they did, BoneClan would wonder why Bloodhound hadn’t joined the fight, eventually leading them to discover how worthless they were in combat. It was… Strange… They were a phenomenal hunter, capable of stalking their prey with ruthless precision and relative ease, but if they had to face another cat in battle, they just… Froze. They did not know why, and they did not want anyone else to know, either.
But I will aid my Clan whenever I am able. I owe them that much, at least.

• Lilyfang-
“Hello, love.” Lilyfang greeted. “Our battle patrol has yet to return, but when I left them they were very close to winning.” She winced as she wrapped her tail around her paws, the bite the WindClan she-cat left was deep. “Unfortunately, word has it that ThunderClan may be attacking to reclaim Minnowstar,so I’m here as a precaution.”

• Bloodhound-

“So you intend to face ThunderClan alone?” Bloodhound commented, both concerned and impressed at the thought of Lilyfang fending off an entire Clan on her own. “Perhaps I could be of assistance; though I’d like to know what happened while I was away. You mentioned a battle, and I scented Minnowstar upon my return. What happened?” They asked, feigning ignorance.

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang twitched her whiskers in slight amusement at Bloodhound’s words. “I’m here to alert the others if I smell or see ThunderClan cats. While back-up arrives,I’ll keep any attacking cats from getting to Minnowstar.” She thought for a moment before continuing.

“Well,RiverClan met us at the border, and we fought there. WindClan had come to assist them-although they were all so scrawny I doubted they could hold their own. I was right,of course, and we took down four WindClan cats, along with most of RiverClan. When I left the fight, none of our warrior had been killed. The patrol should be back soon.”

“As for the RiverClan leader, she came to camp in an attempt to keep us from attacking. We decided to hold her hostage, and to keep her from escaping Wolfstrike tried to break her leg. Cloudsight said that it’s only dislocated, but it still rendered her immobile-for a while,at least. She can walk now,but certainly can’t run or fight. Currently they’re making a gag for her in the medicine den because she won’t shut up.”

• Bloodhound-

Bloodhound had to admit they felt some sympathy for the RiverClan leader. All she had wanted was to protect her Clan, just as any leader would; but now her speed and voice were taken from her, and the very Clan she had wanted so desperately to protect was suffering their defeat.

Of course, Bloodhound would not hesitate to trap her again if it meant BoneClan emerged victorious; they might even consider killing her. She had lives to spare, after all- she could survive one death.

“The stars smile down upon us.” Bloodhound commented, raising their gaze to the night sky, “If ThunderClan falls here, only ShadowClan will remain in our way.” They closed their eyes, contemplating some of the methods they could use to dismantle the silent Clan. Bloodhound smiled. Using stealth against a Clan known for their silence… That would certainly be a challenge.

They opened their eyes again. “We are close. Soon, BoneClan will have it’s rightful glory.” Bloodhound turned back to Lilyfang, their gaze darkening. “But we are few, and ThunderClan will not surrender easily… We will need to use everything we have to win this battle.” They meowed gravely.

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang nodded, closing her eyes briefly. “This will be a hard battle, but I know we can be victorious. There are more ghosts I can call on the aid us,it’ll just take a little persuasion.” a small smirk spread across her face as she spoke. “Many Dark Forest cats would love the chance to get revenge on a Clan, whether it means helping us or not.”

• Bloodhound-

“But ThunderClan cannot be far; we have no time for persuasion.” Bloodhound pointed out, glancing at the entrance tunnel. “As we stand now, there is nothing we can do to stop them from taking Minnowstar and capturing our camp. We will need to get more… Creative… If we are to keep them at bay, such as threatening to kill Minnowstar if they attack, or hiding her away from camp. If we are fortunate, we may even be able to overpower one of the patrol’s members and use them to get the rest to surrender.”

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang considered Bloodhound’s words,”You’re right,ThunderClan is likely to be attacking soon. I feel threatening Minnowstar would work best, but I could go invisible and attack one of their strong warriors. That would throw them off.”

• Wolfstrike-
“Lilyfang, Bloodhound,” she called, padding into the clearing. “Do you think we should set up any barriers or put on any feints, while we still have the chance to prepare?”

• Wolfstrike-
“Was Ashstar on the attack patrol with you?” Wolfstrike asked. “I don’t know where they are…” Now is not the time for a panic attack… She tried her best to flip her mind from panicking mode to battle-strategy mode, failing miserably in the process. Come on… look at the trees, how can we use that to our advantage? The thorn barrier? “Bloodhound,” she mewed, “do you think that you could climb a tree, and jump down onto a ThunderClan cat?” If I stand in the clearing, seemingly by myself, will they be convinced that it’ll actually be just me and Cloudsight against all of them? They’re certainly arrogant and mousebrained enough to believe something like that… would leave them off guard, give my Clanmates a bit of an advantage…

Loststar-
The massive tom padded calmly out from the shadows, tilting his head at Wolfstrike.
“I, too, am curious- where is Ashstar? This frequent absence was not what I expected of them when I first appointed them deputy so many moons ago.” He sat back on his haunches, his tail sweeping the ground rhythmically. “Perhaps I should have held my position after my death.”
He paused, narrowing his eyes at the deputy. The slight waver in her voice, the thinly veiled panic in her eyes- unacceptable.
“I suggest,” he began, stepping forward, “that you control yourself. Fear is a tool. If you let the enemy wield it against you, you’ve lost. Perhaps you’d like a lesson?” He unsheathed his claws, digging them into the clearing floor.

• (Loststar could step on us if he wanted 😛)

Lilyfang-
Lilyfang smiled as Loststar appeared. The tom was cruel and truly evil. She respected him, feared him, honored him. She told herself she served BoneClan as a whole, but deep down, the only cat she served was Loststar.

The she-cat dipped her head to the fallen leader, not wanting to seem disrespectful. “Hello, love.” She blinked at him calmly before turning her focus to Wolfstrike

“Ashstar wasn’t on the attack patrol, and I didn’t see them at all while fighting. As for defense,I think we’re alright. ThunderClan doesn’t know how many of us there are. Even though someone has surely alerted them by now,for all they know it’s just you and Cloudsight with Minnowstar. We still have an advantage.”

After a brief pause, she added: “Of course,Loststar has the final say. If he thinks there’s something we should do,we’ll get to it.”

• Wolfstrike-
“No, of course not, sir,” Wolfstrike stammered. “And, maybe Ashstar went hunting… he walked off into the forest somewhere, so…” Yep, this is totally convincing Loststar that you aren’t a panicked mess right now.
She sank her claws into the ground and imagined herself drowning her fears in a lake of previous memories of victories against the other Clans, even against impossible odds, and then building a wall of battle plans and strategies around that lake. Close your fear away. It has no place in your mind. BoneClan can do it- we can do anything.
“All right,” she said finally, sheathing her claws and looking up at Loststar. “So, what should we do? ThunderClan probably won’t realize that we’ve figured out they might attack, so we could pretend that the camp is deserted, or at least partially, tricking them into a false sense of security before attacking. Also, I talked to Lilyfang earlier about the possibility of her turning invisible and then capturing a ThunderClan cat. We could get them to surrender that way, especially if we get our paws on Lizardstar.”

• Windmist-
He padded out of the shadows as they faded away from his silvery fur. His grey eyes flashed as he took in the scene. “It appears to be time for a bit of chaos,” he mewed, a crooked grin twisting his features, “And chaos is my specialty.”

• Wolfstrike-
“Windmist?” Wolfstrike exclaimed, surprised. I thought you were neutral? What are you doing here? Her amber eyes narrowed. “Are you fighting on our side? Or are you just here to watch and possibly make things worse?”

• Windmist-
“Why does it matter who’s side I’m on?” He questioned, blinking innocently. “I am on chaos’s side and chaos tends to hang around BoneClan more than others.”

• Ashstar

¨Good day, sir.¨ Ashstar said as they walked into camp, holding 5 mice in their mouth.

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang’s eyes narrowed at Ashstar, but her smiled stayed put. “Well, hello.” She started, padding forward. “Where were you during the RiverClan raid? It would have been nice to have you fight with your clan.”

• Wolfstrike-
Wolfstrike turned to Ashstar, swallowing the urge to scream at them at the top of her lungs. Where WERE you?!
At least you were hunting instead of sitting randomly out in the forest this time, though.
“Ashstar, Minnowstar is in the medicine den, gagged. ThunderClan is probably going to attack us to get her back,” she informed them stiffly. “As for you, Windmist, we’re not out for pure chaos here, we’re out for victory. I hope you can understand that.”

Lynxshard-
Upwind from the BoneClan cats, invisible, and hiding in a bramble bush near the camp entrance, Lynxshard watched the clearing, her ears pricked. She had carefully washed away the ThunderClan and ShadowClan scent off of her fur and rolled in catmint before stepping into BoneClan territory, so even if she was caught, they couldn’t accuse her of helping the Clans- they wouldn’t have any proof.
They do have some… she realized, stiffening. Windmist is right there, and he saw me talking to the RiverClan cats. Would that be considered treacherous? What if I die after my first day of switching back to ThunderClan’s side?
She watched the clearing, eyes wide. Either BoneClan had sent reinforcements back to their camp, or they hadn’t sent out all of their available cats. Loststar… StarClan help me, he’s right there. And Ashstar… Trying her best not to hyperventilate, she caught a hint of RiverClan scent drifting from the medicine den, and a few snippets of the BoneClan cats’ conversation- “ThunderClan… we’ve figured out they might attack…Why does it matter who’s side I’m on? Where were you…”
I have to report back to ThunderClan now, right now… they have figured it out. What set them off? Lynxshard crept out of the bush, blood roaring in her ears, and fled into the night.

Loststar’s pupils narrowed into thin slits.
“Your idea is sound, Wolfstrike- getting a hold of the traitor himself will be very satisfying. He ruined me.” He let out a soft growl, lashing his tail. “I will consult with Honeyblaze and Lilyfang privately in a moment to decide our final plan. For now,” he mewed darkly, glaring in Windmist’s direction, “I must issue you a warning. Any of you here not explicitly allied with BoneClan- I suggest you leave now, else I am forced to permanently remove you.”
He rolled his shoulder, feeling the joint crack satisfyingly. Glancing at Ashstar, he got to his paws and padded over to them, glaring down at his successor coldly.
“How very benevolent of you to bring us food, Ashstar- have you decided to be a warrior instead of a coward?” His voice dropped to a low growl, and he deftly brought up one paw to slice a nick into the gray cat’s ear. “I made you my deputy for a reason, fool. You’re the leader now. Act like it.

• Ashstar
¨I was GUARDING CAMP.¨ Ashstar said, raising a eyebrow¨If I´m not allowed to guard camp, I´ll join the raid.

• Windmist-
His tail flicked in amusement and he scanned the forest. He gave a simple shrug at Ashstar’s threat, “Wouldn’t you rather have havoc working for you instead of against you?” He questioned, giving a bored eye roll. A sly smile crossed his face for the barest hint of a moment at the argument between Ashstar and Loststar, it appeared that some love was lost between them at some point.

• Wolfstrike-
Although she was carefully keeping her expression impassive, little happy bubbles were rising in her at Loststar’s approval of her plan. For a moment, she felt like an apprentice again, staring up at Loststar, trying to earn his approval in every way she could.
Snap out of it- what am I, a kit?
Her whiskers twitched nervously as Loststar advanced on his former deputy and sliced his claws down Ashstar’s ears. StarClan forbid we have another session of infighting. We’ve got enough to deal with as it is…
“Well, what would you and your chaotic tendencies be able to do, Windmist?” she demanded, turning to the Dark Forest cat. “If havoc is as useful as you say?”

• Windmist-
“They will probably becoming in a patrol,” he mewed, brow furrowed in thought. “That means that we should guard the edges of camp, from the trees, and disguise our sent. Pick off the ones in the back first and when they begin to go missing, panic will spread.” He mewed after a moment. “We should also set traps for the front of the patrol and herd them like rabbits to where we want them to go.” He added, pride edging his words.

• Wolfstrike-
“Wow,” Wolfstrike mewed, the hostility fading from her tone to be replaced by newfound respect. “Picking cats off from the back would be risky- one scream and the game is up- but it could still work. As for the traps in the front, what would you suggest? We don’t have long, so these traps will have to be pretty simple but very effective.”

• Windmist-
“Hmmmm… Perhaps vines? Kind of like the two leg traps that pull cats into the air?”

• Wolfstrike-
“I’ve never heard of those,” Wolfstrike admitted. “Much less know how to build them. In any case, how would vines that pull cats into the air direct the ThunderClan patrol to where we want them to go? Wouldn’t they just learn to avoid the vines?”

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang bared her teeth, stained with dried blood. “Of course you’re aloud to guard camp, love. But,seeing as your the leader of BoneClan,I’d say it’s not too much to ask for you to be with your clanmates during an attack.”

She slowly curled her tail around her paws and smiled sweetly. “Now,go say hello to Minnowstar,I’m sure you’d love to talk to her. It’s not everyday we get to hold a cat as important as her captive.”

• Wolfstrike-
“It’ll be a very one-sided conversation,” Wolfstrike pointed out dryly, “as she’s gagged. It would have been more productive if you’d shown up earlier, Ashstar, but whatever. You’re here now.” She studied Windmist intently. How do you attack a cat… without causing a single sound? Would a death blow to the neck be fast enough?

• (I am still here! Just having trouble getting anything down :))

Bloodhound-

Bloodhound dipped their head respectfully to Loststar and Ashstar grateful that the two leaders were on the side of BoneClan. “If I am not needed here, I will watch for ThunderClan’s arrival from that tree.” They pointed to a oak tree just outside of camp, “I should be able to subdue one of their leaders once they are in camp.” Bloodhound turned towards their leaders, waiting for their approval.

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang turned to Windmist and Wolfstrike. “Well,a death blow to the neck is very quiet,if we’re invisible the attacking cats won’t have time to react. I could try to help with vine contraptions, but I may not be of much assistance.”

The she-cat flexed her claws, adrenaline coursing through her. One battle after another, constant blood and fighting, these were things she was used to. It would be fun to get her paws on ThunderClan cats, after all, there were some things she needed to settle.

• Windmist-
“Cats in the trees?” He suggested. “Have them lower a noose like vine and use it to yank cats up?”

“Good, Bloodhound. Try for ShadowClan’s lead or ThunderClan deputy. I want Lizardstar to get a good look at his old home,” he mewed darkly. “Vine contraptions of the level you’re speaking of will take too much of our time. Picking them off from the back is a better bet.” He flicked his tail.

Frogstar-
Silently, she crouched at the edge of the camp, her green eyes glittering with fury. Stepping forward, she padded directly towards the gathered cats, picking out the ones who could see her.
“Loststar. Lilyfang. Windmist.” Her voice was low and quick. “Two choices. Attack me, distract yourself from the battle at hand. Ignore me, let me take information back to your attackers. Either way, you’re at a disadvantage. Your living Clanmates can’t see nor hear me, so you’ll just seem mad- perhaps they’ll lose faith in the sanity of their Dark Forest allies,” she mewed, shoving her muzzle close to Lilyfang’s.

“Okay, let’s go, then… for the ‘picking cats off from the back’ plan, are only Dark Forest cats going to be doing this, or BoneClan cats too?” Wolfstrike glanced nervously at the Dark Forest cats, who seemed to be looking at a patch of thin air a bit too intently to just be staring off into space. “Umm… L-Loststar? Lilyfang? Windmist?”

• Windmist-
A hint of a crossed his lips when Frogstar appeared. Hmmm. He considered her question, having people doubt his sanity was always fun. Decision made, he leapt at the she-cat, a maniacal grin now fully present and a laugh slipped out.

• Wolfstrike-
“Uh… Windmist?” Wolfstrike yelped, shocked, as Windmist leapt at the patch of air, claws outstretched. “What are you doing?!” She glanced wildly at Loststar and Lilyfang. “What’s happening?”

• Windmist-
The grin didn’t leave his face as he lunged for Frogstar’s throat. He would lose, he knew that. But winning wasn’t his goal.

Frogstar-
Letting out a yowl of fury, she met Windmist’s attack with her own ferocity, lunging to sink her teeth into his shoulder.
“Fool,” she hissed, darting backward and circling the small group of warriors. “You never learn. You have no idea what you’ve started, do you?”

Loststar-
“We’ve got a visitor,” he hissed. “Windmist, back off- that is an order. I don’t care whether you serve chaos or me, I will tear you limb from limb in a heartbeat if you don’t back. Down.” He stalked over to Frogstar and pushed her to the ground in a flash, teeth bared in a hideous snarl.
“No, my sweet- you cannot even begin to fathom how much I know,” he growled. “You’ve made a great mistake coming here.” A flicker of satisfaction lit hit lamplike yellow eyes as fear flashed in the StarClan cat’s gaze.

• Windmist-
He flexed his injured shoulder but did as Loststar said, backing away from the pinned she-cat.

Drizzlepaw-
She hesitated in the forest at the sight of the cats that had terrorized the forest during her short life but she steeled herself at the sight of Frogstar pinned. She tried not to let her mind freeze on how similar this moment was to the one so many moons ago.

(~Flashback~)
“No!” Drizzlepaw yowled, leaping out of her hiding place to save one of her first friends, her love. As she flew through the air, a million thoughts seemed to race through her mind, landing on the most important. Even if I die, I will die saving one of the most important cats in the cursed world to me. I won’t let her change that. She flew, claws outstretched at the she-cat aiming to kill Lizardstar. One of the she-cats flailing limbs hit her, knocking her from the sky and sending her slamming into the Highrock. She barely had a moment to gasp in shock before the world went dark and the sight of his crystal blue eyes faded from view.

She leapt again, to save her friend, this time with no hesitation but with one goal in mind. She flew across the clearing and dug her teeth into the massive tom’s scruff. If she could just pull him off of her, Frogstar would have time, all they needed was time. She didn’t come back to die, she came back to achieve all of the things she never had time for before. “I won’t let you hurt her,” she whispered into Loststar’s ear through gritted teeth.

• Wolfstrike-
Any of Wolfstrike’s previous thoughts about how the Dark Forest cats might have all suddenly gone insane vanished as Windmist stepped back, his shoulder bleeding as if the air had clawed him. “A visitor?” she whispered. “Who? C-can I help with anything?” She really doubted that she could help fight an enemy that she couldn’t even see, though…

Loststar-
With a yowl of outrage, he tipped sideways, his balance disrupted by the apprentice’s sudden lunge. Fury coursed through him, and he twisted his head around, closing his jaws hard on her foreleg. Vaguely, he heard a yowl of upset coming from the medicine den- Honeyblaze?
“Fox-dung,” he spat, drops of blood flying from his jaws as he spoke. “We have no more time to prepare. Bloodhound, in the trees. Lilyfang, Wolfstrike, search the forest and find their patrol- pick them off from the back. Leave Lizardstar alive- for now. Windmist- to RiverClan and back. Tell Fallenwing what has transpired.”
Turning, he brought himself to his full height, glaring down at the two StarClan warriors.
“I need no permission to hurt her, little one,” he snarled. “You have no business here. Your soul will be lost to time very soon, unlike mine- you leave no legacy. I leave crimson pawprints on every tail-length of this forest. I will be remembered, and you will perish in vain.”
With that, he lunged, aiming for her throat.

Frogstar-
“Drizzlepaw, get out of here!” She yowled, desperately scrambling to her paws and lunging for Loststar’s side. “I can’t lose you again!”

• (I’m a lil scared of Loststar tbh)
Drizzlepaw-
She rolled to the side, heart thundering and she glanced down at her bloody leg in slight disbelief, it had been so long since she had been hurt, she had forgotten that it was possible. “I will leave a legacy,” she growled, “I will be remembered as someone who died for a cause, not in vain like you will.” She tried to sound bold, even as she trembled when face to face with the tom of her nightmares. I can’t lose her either, she thought, glancing at one of her first friends. But I don’t know how much help I’ll be here.

Windmist-
He gave a quick nod to Loststar and began to fade into the shadows, calling to Wolfstrike as he left, “Frogstar and Drizzlepaw!”

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang nodded, sending one last glare at Frogstar before rushing out of camp.

• Wolfstrike-
“S-StarClan cats?” StarClan? Is-is Silverstreak with them? I haven’t seen her with the Dark Forest cats… is she with them, or is she just avoiding me?
Shut UP, Wolfstrike!
“I’ll do that,” Wolfstrike mewed, forcing decisiveness into her voice. I can track down a few cats that I sent on a hunting patrol last afternoon, and we can all go look for that patrol together. We’ll win, they’ll see. She whirled around and ran out of camp.

• Iris-
Xe padded out of the nursery with a click glance around, eyes landing on the massive tom giving orders. She walked closer to the group running around the clearing, “What’s going on?” she asked quickly.

Loststar-
Frogstar slammed into his side with a thump, but this time, he was prepared. He dug his claws into the earth and leaned into her attack, gritting his teeth as her claws snagged his fur.
“I will not die in vain, little dove,” he snarled, shaking Frogstar from his shoulders as though she weighed no more than a feather. “I will die having earned the affections of the she-cat who never returned mine, and I will die having destroyed the traitor that is her son.” He turned from Drizzlepaw, slamming one paw down on Frogstar’s head. “Run to your traitors who lurk in the shadows of our forest, Drizzlepaw,” he hissed, his voice low and guttural. “Run to them, and tell them of me. Let him fear me. Let him remember what I did to his precious friends so many years ago, and what Honeyblaze did to you- I want him here. I want him to tremble under my claws like she is now.” He dug his claws into the side of Frogstar’s head, a wicked grimace scrawled across his face.

Frogstar-
She let out a cry of pain and outrage, her head erupting with fiery pain as she was slammed into the earth. Blind and furious, she lashed out, desperately slicing her claws across any part of the fearsome leader that she could reach.
“Drizzlepaw- just… go!” She managed, teeth gritted against the pain. “Get… Lizardstar… Icesnout, too- turn back, they can’t die here!”

• Drizzlepaw-
She hesitated, staring at Frogstar and the massive tom hurting her, “Okay,” she whispered, everything in her fighting against it. Head reeling with shock, she turned away, unable to fight the sensation that she had just done something horribly wrong.

• Lynxshard-
Well, there goes any chance of sneak-freeing Minnowstar, Lynxshard thought as she watched Shadowtail charge into the medicine den. Looks like most of the warriors are in there anyway, though. Hopefully he’ll be all right, but he’ll be in there alone… where is Snowrunner’s patrol?
She eyed the battle from her viewpoint in the treetops, hidden behind several branches. Stupid me, too cowardly to do any fighting… but I’m sure I can be a little useful… right? I might not be able to fight, but I can sure be distracting… Slipping silently down the tree trunk, she positioned herself over the leader’s den and examined the wood beneath her paws. This branch seems a bit weak, doesn’t it? If that other branch was to shift a little… and the wind was to blow a little too hard… it would fall down and absolutely wreck the leader’s den. And wouldn’t that be such a disaster… and one that wouldn’t hurt anyone and cause no collateral damage, since the leader’s den is currently empty, but still cause a good lot of destruction…

• (Uh I don’t know where to put this why not here since Lizardstar gave the attack order? (I think the attack order died while the site was down though.) (All my comments on this part also died but maybe that’s for the best since I couldn’t seem to find anyone to tackle.)

Shadowtail- Shadowtail charged into the clearing and leapt at Viperflame, attempting to pin him to the ground. (Viperflame is actually here right? Please tell me if he’s not here. I gotta find someone to tackle.)

• Roseshade-
Roseshade raced through the shadows, her fur spiked. She had decided to leave the rest of the patrol, amazed that she didn’t get caught. Almost colliding with the camp wall, the she-cat pounced on the first cat she saw,a dark grey tabby (Ashstar).

• Ashstar

Ashstar felt a cat leap on their back. Ashstar shook his body until the cat fell off and they whipped around, seeing Roseshade. “Oh? Do I have a visitor? How… interesting. As funny as it would be to kill you. But then, maybe Minnowstar would like some company.” Ashstar hissed.

• HELP! On my screen, all the comments are formatted super weirdly! They start normal but they keep getting progressively skinnier until I just see a giant column one letter wide going down the page. Is this happening to anyone else? Help what should I do???

• Yeah, that’s happening to me to. Embix says it’s because they had to turn off a plugin so mobile users to comment.

• Do ctrl g. Search something that’s on the page, and it will pop up (unless what you searched has many different things. Then it shows you the wrong one) . That’s all, I guess. Oh, and yeah, it’s happening to me to.

• Honeyblaze-
Honeyblaze slipped silently through the shadows, her partially-transparent tawny-golden pelt melting into the darkness. She stalked along the border that BoneClan shared with ThunderClan, waiting. Perhaps a patrol would come by soon, and she could have some fun messing with those horrible, son-stealing foxhearts’ minds.
Or, she thought, tilting her head with a sinister grin, perhaps Lizardstar himself will show his traitorous face. What a treat that’d be. She swiped her tongue around her muzzle.

• Flightpaw-
Flightpaw lunged at Lillypaw and she dodged, sending him skidding across the ground and he righted himself quickly. And bared his teeth before jumping again. “This will be a good match” he said as he did.

Lillypaw-
“Not really a match at all,” Lillypaw said as she jumped as soon as Flightpaw did and they both went tumbling to the hard packed earth. Her teeth dug into his scruff and she tried to throw him off but he was too heavy. She went limp beneath him and his grip relaxed enough for her to get her back paws under her to push him off.

Flightpaw-
“Confident, are you?” He asked as he righted himself but his stomach was aching and he glared at Lillypaw who had an excited gleam in her eyes. They were both panting. Lillypaw lunged at him this time but he flipped her to the ground and pinned her. No amount of her struggling could get him off and he jumped off with a triumphant grin when she yielded.

• Honeyblaze-
Having given up on the border, Honeyblaze turned back and headed deeper into the territory. It was no fur off her pelt- she’d have plenty of opportunities to tear apart ThunderClan in the future. Pricking her ears, she noticed the yowls of young cats sparring- Lillypaw and Flightpaw. She smiled and slipped through the shadows around where they trained, watching with a critical eye.
“Good work, dearies- but remember, a real enemy won’t spare you like that,” she called, staying hidden in the shadow of a large oak.

• Lillypaw-
Lillypaw froze and turned to the forest. “Who said that?”

Flightpaw-
Flightpaw rolled his eyes, “It’s just Honeyblaze, she’s one of the cats helping BoneClan. Scared?” He taunted Lillypaw.

Lillypaw-
“Of a dead cat? Never,” she leaped at him again, her teeth grabbing his scruff as she brought him to the ground.

Flightpaw-
Flightpaw skidded across the earth and turned back to her but she was already attacking again.

Lillypaw-
She dived underneath his paws, yanking his tail causing him to collapse again. “Don’t insult me like that again Flightpaw.” She ordered, glancing at the treeline.

• Honeyblaze-
She let out a mrrow of amusement, stepping out of the shadows calmly.
“You’d do well to keep a bit of fear in your heart,” she purred. She sat down a few tail-lengths away from the apprentices, casually lifting a paw to wipe away the constant, slow stream of blood that trickled from her empty eye socket. It had started up bleeding again ever since she had died, and it hadn’t stopped since- she sort of liked it. Gives the scar some character, she thought. “Fear is what gives us power over the other Clans. A complete lack of fear makes you weak- and you’re not weak, are you, my dears?” She tilted her head, smiling.

• (oh no you motivated him 😛 )

Fallenwing-

Fallenwing narrowed his eyes. He had simply been watching his apprentice train against Lilypaw, hoping to learn more about Flightpaw’s fighting style. Now, it looked like he’d have to interfere before this darkened soul could poison their minds.
Sheathing his claws, Fallenwing relinquished his grip on the tree branch he was holding to and let himself drift sideways. With one graceful motion, he fell from his perch, using his tail to keep his balance in the air, and slammed into the ground paws-first with his back to the Dark Forest cat.
“Careful what you say, fallen one.” He turned his head slightly, his pale green eyes flashing, burning with indignation. “Fear is not an ally; it’s a wildfire, burning the souls of those it consumes…” Fallenwing cast a meaningful glance at the apprentices, “…Into ash. It happens to be burning in our favor now, but even so, we are not immune to it’s flame. You would do well to remember that.” He finished, sitting down and drawing a paw over his ear.

• Flightpaw-
Flightpaw glanced at his mentor and nodded slightly, before sending a teasing look towards Lilypaw. “We are going to count that as my win,” he whispered to her.

Lilypaw-
Lilypaw sent him a shocked look. “I clearly won that, all you did was slide around because you couldn’t stay on your paws. I thought a tail was supposed to be for balance, lot of good it did you.” She whispered back.

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang padded out of the Shadows, the blood of the apprentice still dripping from her claws. “Hello, everyone.” she said, dipping her head. “ShadowClan shouldn’t be bothering you any time soon.” she joked, holding up a bloodstained paw. “Or ThunderClan-not like cats that weak would try.” She sat down next to Honeyblaze, her gaze focusing on the apprentices. “How is your training going?”

• Lillypaw-
“It’s going fine.” She responded hesitantly, “Why do you say that about Shado–?”

Flightpaw-
Flightpaw cut Lillypaw off. “It’s going great, I just bested Lillypaw.

Lillypaw-
She let out a mew of indignation, forgetting her question,”You must have bees in your brain if you think that!”

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang laughed quietly at the apprentices bickering. “Well,I’d say you two have very different definitions of ‘bested’.” she then turned to Honeyblaze and,in a lower voice, spoke. “I attacked Lizardstar and his puny apprentice, earlier. They’re thinner than ever. Hopefully the excuse for a leader will starve soon. Do you know how many lives he has left?”

• Honeyblaze-
She raised an eyebrow at Fallenwing, letting out an annoyed hiss.
“Alright, O Fearless One, keep your fur on. Fear is both a weapon and a shield. Do watch your tongue, dearest- You should respect those with more power than yourself,” she mewed silkily, giving him an annoyed glare before dipping her head to Lilyfang as she arrived. At the mention of Lizardstar, she felt a swirling storm of rage arise in her, and she forced down a snarl.
“Seven, as far as I know,” she hissed through gritted teeth, sinking her claws into the ground. “Probably less now if he’s as starving as you say. He lost one to me and one to greencough- I make it a point to keep track.” She swiped her tongue around her jaws, wiping away a bit more of the blood that had trickled from her eye socket.

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang nodded. “I’ll try to take another if I can.” she then stood up,”Well,if there’s nothing I need to stay for,I’m off to RiverClan. it seems to be where cats are doing the best, and I’d like to change that.”

• Skipflight-
“Hello, lovelies,” Skipflight meowed with a yawn, stretching as he walked over to the gathered cats. “How’s the prey running today?” He sniffed at the air, pleased to scent several different prey animals nearby. “Or the other clan cats,” he added with a grin.

• Fallenwing-

“Knowledge is power,” Fallenwing meowed methodically, “But what you do with it determines your true strength.” Idly, he examined his claws, suddenly longing for a battle. “You died with a mindset, fallen one. I’ll be surprised if you ever deviate from it. Their minds, however,” Fallenwing nodded to the apprentices, “Can still be influenced. I’d be concerned if you were the one to bend them to your ideals.” He mewed pointedly.
At the mention of RiverClan, Fallenwing turned to Lilyfang with undisguised interest. “Attacking RiverClan would make an excellent point; they could stand to be reminded of those who hunt them.” He paused thoughtfully for a second, then turned to Lilypaw and Flightpaw. “How do you two feel about attacking a RiverClan patrol? You’ve been training for a while now, and I think you can handle a real battle.” He rose to his paws, his silver muzzle curved upwards in a malevolent smile. “Don’t you agree?”

• Lilyfang-
“It would be nice to have a real battle, wouldn’t it?” Lilyfang purred, walking towards the apprentices. “And don’t worry,Fallenwing and I will be there,so you two won’t be alone.”

Lilyfang hadn’t truly fought with any cats in moons. Her tactic of quick scratches and silent murders worked well, but she itched to be in a real fight. The she-cat nodded to Skipflight at his appearance and then turned to talk to him.

“I’m not sure about the apprentices yet,but I’m going to put RiverClan in their place. They seem to be doing the best, which is unfortunate.” she smiled slightly, her eyes glittering.

• Honeyblaze-
Honeyblaze dipped her head in greeting to Skipflight, smiling. Her face quickly fell again as Fallenwing spoke.
“Darling, I’m concerned if you’re the one influencing them. Some kittypet with an overinflated ego and too much bloodthirst is far from fit to be a mentor. My mindset’s grown quite drastically since I’ve fallen- you’re the one who seems stuck,” she mewed drily. This tom was starting to really get on her nerves- what had happened to the respect she had gotten as a living warrior? Loststar had made a mistake, letting all these high-and-mighty kittypets into BoneClan when he had been alive.
However, she couldn’t hide her piqued interest at the mention of an attack. She hadn’t been in battle for a while now- it would be refreshing to teach another Clan their place.
“I do think that’s an excellent idea,” she purred, flexing her claws. “It’s a good experience for the youngsters.” She smiled.

• Flightpaw-
He grinned, “Our first real battle! I’ll show those RiverClan scum who to watch out for!” He announced.

Lilypaw-
She glanced nervously around the gathered cats but nodded. “We can teach them their place!” She mewed, forcing enthusiasm into her tone.

• Skipflight-
“Mind if I tag along?” he asked, eyes brightening at the thought of fight. Skipflight had never been in a real battle before, just skirmishes and individual fights, not that he’d admit that. It would be good to get some experience. Plus, it sounded like good exercise.

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfnag smiled, pleased. She narrowed her eyes while staring at Lilypaw. There was something off about the apprentice’s voice. Perhaps she was nervous. “Your first battle is always the most exciting, but it’s normal to be a bit nervous.” The she-cat said, trying to calm her nerves.

• Wolfstrike-
Wolfstrike padding into the clearing. “Attacking RiverClan? Mind if I come?” she asked.

• Lilypaw-
She nodded slightly, “I’m sure it’ll go great.” She mewed.

Flightpaw-
He nodded, laying his tail over Lilypaw, “Just nervous those RiverClan cats will beat you like I did?” He teased.

Lilypaw-
“If they fight like you do, I don’t see reason to be nervous.” She teased back. “Who all is coming?” She asked.

• Wolfstrike-
“This many cats should be enough, but I can certainly arrange for more if it’s needed,” she replied, turning to Honeyblaze and Lilyfang.

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang nodded,”I think we have enough cats, but we’ll send for backup if needed.” She looked around the clearing briefly before speaking again.

“Alright,Fallenwing,Flightpaw,Lilypaw,Skipflight, Wolfstrike and I are going to RiverClan. Anyone else?”

• Honeyblaze-
She dipped her head to the deputy, smiling. “I’m sure we’ll have no problem finding more cats if we need them, but you’re right- we should be set to go with this many warriors.” She stretched, flexing her claws. “Let’s not kill too many of them. Perhaps with a good enough scare, we can convince those fish-breaths to join us against the other Clans. It would be nice to have a larger stretch of territory,” she mewed contemplatively, smoothing her chest fur with a few laps of her tounge.

• Fallenwing-

Fallenwing narrowed his eyes, his fur bristling in anger, but he said nothing. Did she not just say she’d do anything to kill her son? Her son, who she died trying to kill? And… She’s ‘changed’ since then? I’d better stop wasting my breath on this bloodied mess of a cat.
He forced his fur to lie flat, opting instead to address the apprentices. “I’m sure you’ll do fine. look at all of the warriors that will be fighting alongside you; do you think they’d let you come to any harm?” In a whisper, he added, “If you ever feel like you’re in over your head, just call for me, and I’ll come running. Understood?”
Ever since Ashstar had given him an apprentice, Fallenwing had done his best to live up to his leaders expectations. He wanted to prove he was capable despite his birthplace, and had done rather well thus far. I thought everyone was finally done with calling me a kittypet, as if I was ever truly a kittypet to begin with! He glared at Honeyblaze, his pupils narrow. But it looks like I might never shake that reputation, no matter how hard I try. Well, I suppose it’ll be interesting when a ‘kittypet’ kills the RiverClan leader, won’t it? What will they call me then; bloodthirsty? He smirked, his claws itching to be drawn through a RiverClan cat’s pelt. Good. At least that’s something I actually am.

• Lilyfang-
“More territory would be amazing. I’m thinking about stealing a kit or two and training them to be BoneClan warriors.” she smiled at Honeyblaze, ready to fight. “I take it you’re coming with us?”

• Flightpaw-
Flightpaw was excited for his first fight, “Didn’t the elders say we’ve taken RiverClan kits before?” He asked.

Lilypaw-
“I didn’t listen to the elder’s stories that much.” She said softly, the first few moons of her kithood were a blur. She wasn’t sure which part of it was a memory and what part was false. She thought she remembered another kit, a grey one but she was an only child so that didn’t make sense.

• Honeyblaze-
“Oh, darling, I wouldn’t dare miss out on this,” she purred, a sinister grin twisting her muzzle. “Careful about the kits, though. Only the strongest ones- I’ve encountered too many weak kits, some of which have grown to be very weak cats.” She dug her claws into the earth beneath her, remembering. She had rid her Clan of one hindrance long ago when she killed her useless daughter, but she had failed to kill Lizardstar while she was ahead. She couldn’t help but wonder what it would have been like had she killed her son as a kit instead of Featherkit…
It doesn’t matter now. She shook her head, refocusing herself on the present. She looked up at Fallenwing, meeting his gaze coolly.
“Are you coming, kittypet?” She mewed condescendingly, amusement glittering in her eye.

• LIlyfang-
Lilyfang nodded to Honeyblaze, with this many cats coming it would be easy to take over RiverClan. “My focus will be the nursery, but if anyone needs backup I’ll be there.” she was still very loyal to her birthclan, and proud of how well they were doing.

She watched Honeyblaze and Fallenwing’s tense interaction before speaking again. “Infighting isn’t helpful, lovelies.” she purred, looking at both of them sternly.

“It doesn’t matter that Fallenwing comes from kittypets,he knows how to fight, and can do it well. And I’ve worked with Honeyblaze for quite a while,I can say that she’s changed since her death.”

• Fallenwing-

We’ll see about that. Fallenwing shot one last glare at Honeyblaze, then turned to Lilyfang. “So, are we attacking their camp directly, then?” He mused, tilting his head thoughtfully. “If we are victorious, what do we intend to do with RiverClan? Will we be taking prisoners?”

• Skipflight-
Skipflight’s pelt prickled with unease as Honeyblaze taunted Fallenwing, a nervous grin creeping onto his face unbidden. He used to be a kittypet as well, and if Honeyblaze counted Fallenwing as a kittypet, then Skipflight could only imagine what she might have to say about him.
“What about the Riverclan apprentices?” he asked, trying to contribute to the conversation, “Would they be young enough to be shaped up, or is it too late for them to be of any use?”

• Flightpaw-
“I doubt they will be willing to join us. Maybe we can find someone important to the clan, like a deputy or leader or medicine cat and take them prisoner?” He suggested.

Lilypaw-
She felt slightly queasy at the idea of kidnapping cats but nodded. Flightpaw’s idea made sense.

• Wolfstrike-
Wolfstrike discreetly shot a glance at Lilypaw. How old was she when BoneClan had taken her? Did she still remember anything? By her expression, probably something…
“Should I get Ashstar?” she asked. “If we’re doing a camp attack, that’s a big move.”

• Honeyblaze-
She tilted her head at Skipflight’s suggestion, thinking.
“I’m sure they’d be trainable. We may have to do a bit of… Persuading, but that shouldn’t be a problem.” She smirked, letting out a mrrow of amusement. “Along with that, Flightpaw does have a point- I say we take the medicine cat. If we attack and then take away their only way of tending their wounds, they’ll have no choice but to surrender. And yes- Ashstar would most likely like to be a part of this. They’ve always been one for a healthy bit of bloodshed.” She grinned at Wolfstrike, remembering back to Ashstar’s deputyship- she had never once doubted Loststar’s choice when he had named them deputy.

• Flightpaw-
“As deputy can’t you order the attacks?” He asked.
(Does anyone want to be Lilypaw’s mentor?)

• (Skipflight could be her mentor if you’d like!)
Skipflight-
“I think it would be a good ideal to let Ashstar know,” Skipflight said with a grin, “Since they’re technically in charge of the clan, y’know? Imagine them walking into camp and finding everyone gone because we went to Riverclan without them.” His whiskers twitched in amusement, but he suspected Ashstar might find it a little less funny.

• Wolfstrike-
“As deputy, I organize patrols and can oversee warrior training,” she corrected. “The leader leads the Clan in battle.”
(Wolfstrike can be Lilypaw’s mentor, if you like…)

• Flightpaw-
He nodded slightly.

(Skipflight volunteered first 🙂 )

• Lilyfang-
“Attacking camp is just my idea,if anyone has something else in mind I’m willing to hear it.” She nodded to Wolfstrike politely,”You and Ashstar are in charge here,it’s your choice.”

• Cloudsight-
Cloudsight scowled as voices distracted them from their herb sorting, and shoved the piles away from themself with a snort of disgust. Carefully, the medicine cat made their way through the territory, following the voices until the scent of their clanmates greeted their nose.
“If you leave without Ashstar, I can tell them where you’ve gone,” Cloudsight muttered, staring out at the gathered cats with their cloudy, blind eyes. “And I’ll have herbs ready for you when you get back, assuming you’re not so useless that Riverclan kills you all.”

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang stiffly nodded to Cloudsight, she didn’t like the cat,and it seemed the felt the same. “Even though RiverClan is doing well,BoneClan is much stronger. Besides, you should have more faith in your clan.” She narrowed her eyes, staring at them.

Lilyfang slowly looked away, turning her focus to the others. “I’m sure Ashstar will approve, but it’s good to ask. He may decide who is going and who isn’t.”

• Skipflight-
“I’m sure we can be plenty persuasive,” Skipflight agreed, excitement prickling his pelt. He didn’t like the idea of hurting young cats, but he doubted it would take much anyway. “Besides, they should be grateful to be allowed to switch to the winning side.”
At the appearance of Cloudsight, Skipflight eyed the medicine cat incredulously. Do they really think we might lose? he wondered. It wasn’t really something he had considered. “Lilyfang’s right, Riverclan won’t stand a chance. We’ll be back, you’ll see.”

Cloudsight-
Cloudsight scowled, turning their unseeing glare to Skipflight. I’ll see? Really? they thought, unsheathing their claws to dig them into the ground. They doubted the kittypet had the intelligence to insult them purposely, but it didn’t make the urge to slip him some death berries any less tempting.
“It doesn’t take faith to slap chewed up plants on your wounds,” Cloudsight replied with a shrug, tail twitching with annoyance.

• Wolfstrike-
She flicked her tail in acknowledgment to Cloudsight. “I’ll go ask Ashstar,” she said, heading toward camp.

• Lilypaw-
She nodded, staring at the medicine cat’s cloudy eyes, wondering, not for the first time, how they came to be that way. Cats of her clan were not usually the most forthcoming about their weaknesses.

• Fallenwing-

Fallenwing stood silently, idly twitching his tail. “Night falls soon. If we wait much longer, the moon will have risen by the time we attack. It would be foolish to waste the pure darkness that comes at nightfall.” He observed. “I hope Ashstar can join us by then.”

• Pebblebeak looked at the battle ready cats in delight. This is way better than their old ways he though. He hated siding with his old clan but if it meant the other clans were out of the way it was worth it. his faded beat up figure sat at the back his spine sticking from his back and his eye in his paw. (I made some changes if that’s ok sorry) his one glazed red eye flitting around the cats.

• Wolfstrike-
“Does anyone know where Ashstar is?” she asked, padding back into the clearing. “Cloudsight?”

• Cloudsight-
“I haven’t got Ashstar stuffed in my den for safe keeping if that’s what you’re asking,” Cloudsight replied, sniffing at the air to see if they could catch their leader’s scent. “What a lovely time for our leader to take a vacation from their responsibilities.”

• Wolfstrike-
“No,” she agreed, beginning to pace. I’m sure he’s not “taking a vacation…” maybe he’s hunting or something… but we can’t sit around here for much longer. “Has anyone seen Ashstar today? We should leave soon- Fallenwing’s right, it would be foolish to waste the darkness that falls at night. Also, the longer we wait, the more likely news of this will slip to RiverClan.”

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang stood up and stretched. Some old wounds sparked with pain, but she ignored them. “I can search the woods, but if Ashstar isn’t found soon we may need to attack without permission.”

• Fallenwing-

Fallenwing nodded, watching the sun paint the sky red as it fell behind the mountains. “If you can’t find Ashstar by the time the first star is visible, we will attack on our own.”

• Wolfstrike-
“Agreed. Thank you, Lilyfang,” she said, dipping her head to the Dark Forest she-cat. “We will leave once the first star is visible tonight, no matter what. Prepare to raid RiverClan- if you have nothing else to do, battle train or look for Ashstar.”

• Honeyblaze-
“I’m sure they’re around, keep your fur on,” she snapped, twitching an ear irritably. “Ashstar has never been the type of cat to just… disappear. Loststar chose them as his successor for a reason.” She stood, stretching. This was incredibly strange- perhaps they were off in the forest somewhere? She stalked across the clearing, past Fallenwing, and padded a few pawsteps into the forest.
“Ashstar! You mouse, where are you?” There had been a time when it would be unheard of to call the mighty leader names, but now? What was the worst they could do- kill her again? She snorted. It was possible, yes, but they had known each other much too long for that.

• Lilypaw-
She watched the cats search for Ashstar, ignoring the hope that surged at the thought of not going. Leaving without permission didn’t sit will with her but she wouldn’t say anything, the older cats know best. She glanced at her mentor, “What do you want us to do?” She asked, flicking her tail as Flightpaw.

Flightpaw-
He glanced at Lilypaw, ignoring the urge to join the search so they could go ahead and attack. He looked to their mentors, waiting for instruction.

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang came to stand next to Honeyblaze. She sniffed the air, trying to find the leaders scent. She quickly found a scent trail, but it was stale. “I can smell them, but they haven’t been through here in a while.”

• Wolfstrike-
What’s taking them so long? she wondered, sitting in front of the camp barrier, her tail curled over her paws. She stared out into the night sky. What was Minnowstar doing in our territory? I wouldn’t say she’s impulsive… wouldn’t have just wandered over- Wolfstrike froze. What if… she was trying to get ThunderClan’s help against BoneClan?
She would have gotten WindClan assistance before then, probably… so what if my Clanmates are fighting two Clans right now?
No… I can’t panic. They can fight off two Clans… they’ll be okay…
Should I have gone with them? No, someone needed to guard camp. Did Ashstar go with them? Her long, sharp claws tore nervously at the grass. Arggghh…

• Lillypetal-
Lillypetal darted into a bush of brambles. The smell of the pine trees she darted by hid some of her scent, but not all. She thought she saw a warrior in the distance, looking right at her. Full of fear she darted out of the bush when the warrior looked away and escaped in time. Lillypetal ran like the wind into her territory.

• Pinepaw-
He slipped through the underbrush, taking his position and sent a glance to Rowanpaw. Anxiety hummed through his tense body as he waited.

• Lynxshard-
“There you are!” Lynxshard whispered, dropping down beside Pinepaw. She flickered into view for a brief moment before fading back into the shadows. “I can’t find Lizardstar anywhere, so if you see him, tell him this: Minnowstar is in the medicine den. The BoneClan cats know that you are coming, so look out for traps. L-L-L…” A shiver ran down her spine as she attempted to even say the terrifying Dark Forest leader’s name, and she forced the word out of her throat. “Loststar’s with them. So is Lilyfang and… I’m not sure if Honeyblaze is there too, but I would assume the answer is yes. And Windmist.” Lynxshard shuddered. I thought he was neutral… what will he do if he’s allied with BoneClan, with that master chaotic-causing mind of his? “There are at least three BoneClan warriors in camp: Ashstar, Wolfstrike, and Bloodhound. At least- there are probably more that I didn’t scent, or just arrived. Cloudsight is in camp too.”

• Pinepaw-
His mind raced as he tried to memorize all of the information. At the name, Loststar, he froze. It was like a wall of ice cold water had fallen onto him. It made him realize how much more serious this was. “We are going to die,” he murmured.

Lizardstar-
He ducked through the undergrowth, frantically searching. As he spotted Pinepaw and Lynxshard, he let out a sigh of relief.
“Sorry. I’m not as fast as I could be.” He winced as he put his weight on his injured foreleg. “What’s wrong? Shimmerfrog is going around the other way with her patrol. We’ll be just fine- we’ve got surprise on them. I have Tumblefeather, Dayspring, and Amberdusk, and she has Snowrunner, Icesnout, and… Oh, Lynxshard, could you join her patrol?”

• Lynxshard-
“You don’t have surprise on them,” Lynxshard told him dryly. “BoneClan has surprise on you. They already know you’re coming. But sure, I’ll go find Shimmerfrog and give her my briefing or whatever.” She stepped back into the shadows.

• Rowanpaw-
“We’re not going to die,” Rowanpaw whispered to Pinepaw, trying to sound more confident than she felt. “We still outnumber them. Loststar may be formidable, but we’re still going to win.”

Dashfoot-
Dashfoot slipped out of the shadows, xyr pelt heaving from xyr run. Xe took a deep breath, then let it out. The last time xe’d been by Boneclan camp, xe’d been fleeing. Now, xe was about to attack it.
It’s too late to back out now, Dashfoot reminded xemself.
“Where do I fit in to this fancy plan?” xe murmured to Lizardstar. “Also, I couldn’t find the Riverclan deputy, so I left the message with a medicine cat.” Xe shivered, then added, “It’s not looking too pretty over their.”
Dashfoot frowned at the mention of Loststar, then glanced at the camp. “Looks like we have more company than I thought we would. Sorry about that.”

Dayspring-
Dayspring nodded respectfully to Lizardstar as she approached the Thunderclan cats, then jumped slightly as Dashfoot came into view. Her stomach was abuzz with nervousness, making her feel a little sick. She’d never understood the thrill some cats got from battle, but she wasn’t about to let Boneclan take over the forest. “Once the fighting starts, you be careful, okay?” she murmured to Amberdusk, blinking at her kit.

Amberdusk-
“Of course,” Amberdusk agreed, a little annoyed. They weren’t a kit, but they knew Dayspring was just trying to be kind. Hopefully, Timberheart was taking good care of their brother, because if not they were going to have a few choice words to say to her.
They narrowed their eyes at Dashfoot, their expression settling into a scowl. “What’s xe doing here?” they hissed to the Thunderclan cats, wondering why in Starclan’s name the annoying ghost was with them. “They’re a Dark Forest cat! They threw a rock at my little brother!”

• Flickerpaw-
He padded into view, golden and white pelt glimmering with light, even in this place that seemed to only house darkness. They could be a silent presence, known only to his enemies and there to protect the descendants of his friends.

Lizardstar-
He felt his chest tighten.

“Lizardkit.”
“Y-yes?”
“I called you here to let you know that I expect great things of you. Your mother… She’s fearsome. A great warrior. I expect you to grow to fill her pawsteps.”
“I… I will! I promise. I wanna be just like her!”
“Good. You’re a very brave kit.”
“Maybe I’ll be the leader someday, like you!”
“Perhaps you will. Now, get back to Honeyblaze- she’s calling you.”

No. No, no no…

“Retreat, Loststar. This battle is lost.”
“Traitor!”
“Yes.”
“Hideous creature. I expected more of you than this cowardice.”
“If protecting the ones I love makes me a coward, then I’m the biggest mouse-heart in the forest. Leave. Now.”
“This isn’t over, Lizardpaw. I will see you fall before my time in this forest is done.”
“Shut up. Accept that this is done. You lost.”

His eyes flashed furiously.
“No worries, Dashfoot,” he mewed quickly, turning to face xem. “If you would, go speak with the BoneClan cats. Tell them we’re coming from the opposite direction- we need some kind of advantage. Anything.” He flicked his tail to Amberdusk. “Xe’s on our side. So is Lynxshard. Can you climb trees?” His eyes focused sharply, snapping his head towards the ShadowClan cats.

• Wolfstrike-
There they are… only one of the invasion patrols, though… wait. WHAT?
Wolfstrike crept through the shadows, trying to stay as camouflaged as she could. It was a far call from the invisibility of the Dark Forest cats, but it was enough.
They have ShadowClan with them? And… DASHFOOT!?
He told them all about our planned attack? It must have been him, who else could it be?
You will not give away any more of our secrets, traitor! She narrowed her eyes, trying to see if she could kill him without alerting the rest of the patrol. You are too dangerous to see another sunrise… but I suppose I’ll have to wait a moment longer to make my move…

• Dashfoot-
Dashfoot shivered, feeling as if someone was watching xem. Xyr heart skipped a beat at Lizardstar’s instructions, but xe forced xemself to nod.
Xe’d talked to the Boneclan cats all the time, why should this be any different? They had no idea that Dashfoot wasn’t on their side.
I’m going to be fine, Dashfoot told xemself, taking a deep breath.
“Alright then,” xe murmured, turning towards the camp. “You all try not to die while I’m away, okay?”
Xe slipped into invisibility, letting the shadows hide xyr pelt as they raced towards the camp, as if xe had a pack of dogs on xyr tail.

Amberdusk-
Amberdusk gazed skeptically after Dashfoot, not convinced. Was xe really on their side, or pretending to be to protect xyr own pelt?
“If you say so,” they muttered, “And yes, I can climb trees.”

Dayspring-
“I can climb,” Dayspring answered Lizardstar, shooting Amberdusk a quizzical glance. Obviously, she’d missed some things while helping Oakmoth treat Scorchpaw.
“Be respectful, this is the Thunderclan leader you’re talking to,” she hissed under her breath, flicking Amberdusk with her tail. “If he trust Dashfoot, then don’t question him.”

• Wolfstrike-
No way! If I don’t stop him now, BoneClan will listen to him, and then these invaders will get the element of surprise… Wolfstrike shot one last glance at the ThunderClan and ShadowClan patrol before turning and hurtling after Dashfoot. Stop right there, traitor!

• Pinepaw-
He glanced at his mentor and the haze that had fallen over his eyes for a moment. He was reliving something just then? Wasn’t he? Something bad. He laid a comforting tail over his flank and forced his tense muscles to relax.

• Lizardstar-
He blinked gratefully at his apprentice, nodding to the two ShadowClan warriors.
“Good. We have to move fast- Dashfoot’s diversion may not last as long as we need it to. Amberdusk, Dayspring, you two move through the trees towards the camp. An attack from above is our best option at the moment. Rowanpaw, Pinepaw, slight change of plans- you two will be accompanying Tumblefeather and I into the attack.” A lump rose in his throat as he spoke- he didn’t want to put the ‘paws in danger, but there was no way they’d win without every paw on the battlefield. “Once you see the patrol enter camp, drop down and join us, okay?” He added to the two ShadowClan cats/

• Pinepaw-
His eyes widened but he nodded, moving closer to Lizardstar. “I won’t let you down,” he murmured.

• Rowanpaw-
“I won’t either!” Rowanpaw agreed, with a nervous grin. It looked like she was going to be more useful that she’d thought, and while she knew it would be dangerous, her excitement was about equal with her fear. Finally, a chance to pay back the Boneclan cats for all they’d done.

Amberdusk-
Amberdusk nodded, then sprang up onto the lowest branch of the nearest tree. They glanced down to make sure Dayspring was following, then scrambled up to the next one, higher and higher.

Dayspring-
“May Starclan light your paths,” Dayspring murmured to the Thunderclan cats, before climbing up after Amberdusk.

• Pinepaw-
He tried to hide the fear Dayspring’s words sent through him as he glanced at Rowanpaw, “Ready?” He murmured, the question for her and himself.

• Rowanpaw-
“Hopefully,” Rowanpaw replied, wincing slightly as her nervousness made her voice shake a little bit. She’d been training for this all her life, but what if she wasn’t ready? What she hadn’t learned enough battle moves, or froze up in a fight?
The answer was hauntingly simple. She’d probably end up dead.

• Pinepaw-
He glanced at Lizardstar one last time, “We’ll make it back,” he whispered. “Can we go?”

• Pinepaw-
“It looks like ShadowClan is on their way in,” he murmured to Lizardstar, adrenaline from what’s to come already sneaking in.

• (Um I don’t really know what’s going on help? If this comment doesn’t fit what’s going on, just ignore it? Please tell me if this is so.)

Shadowtail- “If they know we’re here we should do something,” He noted. “They could just run out here and attack us at any minute. We either need to retreat or attack. Not just stand here.” This nonsense needs to stop. If I can get Windlcan out of this jam… Maybe it will make up for what I did. But I can’t stand just standing here.

• Sorry, please ignore Shadotail’s thoughts right now. I got his backstory a little mixed up he doesn’t actually think he ‘did’ anything.

• Lynxshard-
What in the name of StarClan is taking them so long? Lynxshard thought, scanning the ground for any sign of the ThunderClan and ShadowClan patrols from a low-hanging tree branch. BoneClan already knows that they are coming… they might walk straight into an ambush, and it’ll be because I couldn’t give them the information in time. She felt sick with fear, and it was getting difficult to keep her invisibility together.

• Shimmerfrog lead a small patrol of Shadowclan and Thunderclan cats – they’d decided to split up into smaller groups, in fear of being detected. She slunk past a few trees with her head raised. There was a proud air to the deputy, a rage that burned green fire into her eyes and left her mouth twisting into a scowl. The moment she’d stepped into Boneclan territory she knew there was no turning back.

A rustle in a nearby tree made her halt, flicking her tail to the patrol to take pause.

“Who’s there?” she called, voice hardly detectable in the howling wind. She knew she had to be smart with this. She dragged a claw silently down the bark, searching the leaves with sharp eyes.

• Lynxshard-
“Shimmerfrog!” she mewed, dropping down beside the ShadowClan deputy. “Lizardstar told me to join your patrol?”

• Sprucepaw padded through the forest in search for prey, when suddenly he heard some rustling. He pricked his ears. “Who’s there?” He narrowed his eyes. Was some cat who doesn’t belong here on Boneclan territory?
(also Sprucepaw doesn’t have a mentor yet, can one of the Boneclan warriors be his mentor? Thx!)

• Lillypetal-
Lilly’s heart skipped a beat. A shiver ran down her spine, she looked at her friends and they nodded. “I-I go there…” she stammered with fear, “W-we’re sorry, we got lost…
PLEASE DONT HURT US!!” they darted out of BoneClan territory

Spotting the young tom through a gap in the leaves, he lunged ahead of the patrol, tackling the apprentice to the ground and grinding his muzzle into the earth with one paw.
“You don’t know me, but I once was a part of BoneClan. I’m here with a group of rouges. We’re going to aid BoneClan against ThunderClan’s raid,” he lied, thinking quickly. “I need you to be quiet as a mouse. ThunderClan warriors could be anywhere.”

• Sprucepaw’s eyes widened. Should he trust this cat? This cat had a familiar scent, one that he knew from somewhere… Sprucepaw struggled against the other cat, then relented. “Alright… but I’m keeping an eye on you.” He winced because that sounded weird, but it was better than nothing.

• (Wolfstrike can be his mentor if you want one!)

Lynxshard-
Lynxshard had quickly fizzled out of view at the sight of the BoneClan apprentice. Hey, she pointed out, that first part is true. Icesnout was once a BoneClan cat, but I’m pretty sure BoneClan isn’t going to welcome him back.
If things get ugly, maybe I should show up and use my nonexistent diplomacy skills to convince that apprentice that we’re on his side! That totally wouldn’t go totally wrong in the worst ways imaginable!

• (I made a comment above responding to Mink, but it still hasn’t been modded yet :’) it was saying that Sprucepaw agreed after some struggling. Also great, wolfstrike can be his mentor!)
after Sprucepaw reluctantly agreed, he finally got out of the rogue’s grip and shook the dirt from his fur. He straightened up. “I’ll have to take you to Loststar…” he hesitated. Deep down, he felt a bit sorry for the other clans, but then shook his head furiously to clear it. “I’ll need to take you to Loststar. But not all of you… one or two. And dont even think about doing anything else.” He growled for good measure.

• Lynxshard-
Oh, drat! The second Loststar sees any of them, he’ll know that Icesnout is lying, Lynxshard thought, stiffening. “You don’t need to do that,” she mewed quickly, stepping out of the shadows. “I’m with them, and I’m a Dark Forest cat.” Her mind spun frantically. “Um, and Dark Forest cats would never ally with the other Clans, would they?”

Icesnout-
“He knows we’re coming,” Icesnout mewed quickly, taking a step back. “My name is Milo. The others are Froggy, Raven, and Pounce-” he gestured to Shimmerfrog, Ravenflight, and Leopardpounce- “and the two that ran away were Lilly and Forest.” He had to hold back a wince as he introduced himself with his old kittypet name, trying to look as convincing as possible. It made his blood boil to learn of Loststar’s involvement- had Dashfoot lied to them? Whose side was xe really on? “You should join our patrol, to help us keep an eye out for the ThunderClan cats. It’s safer that way- trust me,” he mewed.

• Shimmerfrog flicked an ear, mentally face-palming at the plan – it was full of holes and they reeked of Shadowclan, would this apprentice really believe the lie? She supposed Icesnout was betting on the apprentice not being the most competent.

She didn’t enjoy how complicated the situation had become, but knew she had to go along with it. They were truly making things up as they went. They don’t pay me enough for this. The thought crossed her mind as she considered her next words.

“Alright. Let’s go kick some Thunderclan tails.” her eyes bored into Sprucepaw, daring them to challenge the idea.

• Sprucepaw stared thoughtfully at the patrol for a second, then dipped his head. “I’ll join your patrol!” As he fell in step with the rogues, he asked hopefully, “Do you know any information on the raid?” If these cats truly were here to help Boneclan, maybe they knew more information about the raid. His nose twitched, the scent was still nagging him.

Icesnout-
He glanced at Shimmerfrog and Lynxshard gratefully, clearing his throat.
“Thank you, kiddo- we’re glad to have an extra pair of eyes,” he mewed. “Well, we passed through ShadowClan territory, and they seemed to be all in their camp. So only ThunderClan is attacking. They seem to have circled around, so they’re coming from the other way that we are. And RiverClan and WindClan are defeated. We have an injured RiverClan warrior held hostage a ways back,” he added. He shot a meaningful glance to Shimmerfrog as he said this, hoping that she’d understand- ThunderClan camp held an injured warrior and very few other cats- it was direly important that they kept BoneClan away from ThunderClan territory at all costs.

• “We’ve been entrusted to meet said Thunderclan patrol and take them down.” she flicked her tail, gesturing in the opposite direction of the Thunderclan camp. She watched as the apprentice followed her gaze before clearing her throat. “Shadowclan ducked out of the raid as you already heard, so it’ll just be some Thunderclan warriors we’ll need to… dispose of.”

Her tone was carefully controlled but cracked near the end. She mentally cursed herself, remembering her Thunderclan friend who was in said patrol. She hoped they were okay; and that they could somehow hold up this obvious lie until they got to Boneclan.

• Sprucepaw glanced sideways at her, but didn’t comment. Then he realized something. “Oh! I forgot to introduce myself. I’m Sprucepaw.” He gazed towards the foliage that the rogues were saying where the Thunderclan patrol was. “So we should go that way to stop them.” A part of him was anticipating this. He could finally prove to Loststar that he was loyal! Yet the other clans had done no wrong to deserve this much bloodshed… he swallowed hard, questioning his own loyalties. “What about your friends who… ran away?” He flicked his tail in the general direction that the two rogues had fled in.

• “They were the weakest links.” The deputy raised her head to the clouding sky, the weak rays of sunlight hitting her spotted pelt. A singular raindrop fell onto her nose and she shook it off, turning to the patrol with a glint to her eyes.

“The rain’s coming soon, and it’ll ruin any scent tracks we’ll get.” she said cooly, trying to push down her growing sense of dread. They had to arrive at Boneclan camp before Sprucepaw figured out their plan…which she was almost certain he was close to doing.

• ”let’s get going then,” Sprucepaw flicked his tail with anticipation. “Those Thunderclan mouse brains won’t know what’s coming at them.”

• She nodded and lead the patrol into the heart of Boneclan territory. As they brushed past the undergrowth, she could swear she heard the ringing of Boneclan cries. The whole area set her on edge and caused her tail to bush.

“Their camp is just a few minute’s travel from here.” she breathed, barely audible to the rest of the patrol.

• Sprucepaw tilted his head up to the sky as the rain started to grow and a droplet splattered onto his nose. His fur was feeling damp, and he shook his pelt uneasily. He wondered why Shadowclan wasn’t participating in the raid… Shadowclan. Suddenly, with a jolt, he realized what the scent was. Shadowclan scent. The one they claimed was called Froggy reeked of the smell. And some of the others… Thunderclan. “Shadowclan,” he hissed, ears flattening and backing up, staring at the group. “You’re Shadowclan and Thunderclan. You’re the patrol. You… lied.” He tried to mask his fear scent, but it wasn’t easy to stay calm when you’re terribly outnumbered with no one around who can help you. Even worse, Sprucepaw realized he accidentally backed up into a tree as his tail brushed against the rough bark. Mouse dung!

• Icesnout-
Icesnout let out a hiss of annoyance.
“Smart kid,” he growled, turning to face Sprucepaw. He stalked towards him, teeth bared. “You have a choice, Sprucepaw. Run away as fast as you can, away from your Clan. Run and don’t look back. Or-” he unsheathed his claws, eyes flashing- “join us against your Clan. Fight alongside us, and we’ll give you every freedom you could ever want- you won’t be subject to BoneClan’s brutality. I wasn’t lying when I said I was once a part of BoneClan. They tried to kill my mate and kits. They tried to destroy everything that I loved.” His voice was steady, but his mind spun with memories. “My name is Icesnout. I lied to protect the rest of my loved ones. Wouldn’t you do the same?”
He sheathed his claws.
Was this a mistake?

• Sprucepaw’s eyes widened, shrinking in his pelt. This cat was giving him a choice, to run away or join them against Boneclan. He dug his claws into the earth. “My loved ones are gone. They were long dead because of… Boneclan.” He lowered his head, heart pounding. “Except maybe my sister.” He muttered. “But she’s not with me anymore either.” Yet he didn’t think he could survive on his own, alone as a rogue. And a clan life without the brutality presented to him as it was sounded amazing compared to Boneclan. He swallowed hard, then met Icesnout’s gaze. “I’ll join you. I’ve had enough of Boneclan’s ways. They need to be stopped.”

• Shimmerfrog’s expression was unreadable as she cornered the apprentice, ready for him to do something irrational. She’d seen plenty of cases of Boneclan cats lying their way out of a tough situation; any cat would do so to save their own skin, just as she and her patrol had. His sob story wasn’t sitting right with her… and she was surrounded by cats she didn’t even know if she could trust. She gave a quiet growl of frustration, but it ceased as she towered over him. Her green eyes sparked with distrust.

“My name is Shimmerfrog, and I am the deputy of Shadowclan.” she finally said, straightening her back as she spoke. “And if you betray us, I won’t hesitate to put a stop to it. Although I do hope you’re smarter than that.”

• Sprucepaw gave a quick, nervous nod. The deputy of Shadowclan! How important was this patrol? “So… whats the plan?” His whiskers twitched nervously.

• Lynxshard-
“What is the plan? Lizardstar just told me to meet you here,” Lynxshard mewed. “Oh, and I’m probably also supposed to tell you that your chances of successfully executing an ambush are probably at about zero since BoneClan knows you’re coming.”

• She gave a quiet hiss of frustration at the new development.

“Rats. There’s another patrol that’s headed for Boneclan camp. When they attack, some of us can try to lure the Boneclan warriors out of camp. Not engage with them, just distract and weaken them while the others are fighting.”

The plan seemed flimsy even to her own ears, but it was the most decent they could come up with in these circumstances. She sent a glare towards Lynxshard, wishing the she-cat had told her sooner.

“We need to go, before it’s too late for the other patrol.” she dug her claws into the dirt, a final decision.

• Lynxshard-
“Okay,” Lynxshard mumbled, cowering under Shimmerfrog’s glare. “I-I’ll go get more information o-or something? S-see you there?” She stepped back into the shadows and raced off toward BoneClan’s camp.

• She didn’t bother to watch her leave, only gathered the patrol.
She gave a faint nod to each of them, eyes lingering on the apprentice in distrust. She than pushed through the dead foilage to reveal the outskirts of Boneclan camp.

• Lynxshard-
Yep, we’re the patrol, took you long enough, Lynxshard thought, panic welling up inside her. Now what happens? She shot a glance at Icesnout. If I pretend that these cats are… traitors to ThunderClan and ShadowClan, maybe, would that work? Probably not… what now, what now?

• Ravenflight(if it was me)
Ravenflight quivered with fear. “What will you do to me if I don’t stay quiet?” He snarled rising from the ground, “Kill me?” he pinned the elder down and gave him a cuff around the ear, “I’ll never aid BoneClan, you can, but I will not. I don’t care if I be banished for killing you” he clawed at Icesnout’s leg, hoping to do some damage.
(Forget it if it was not me)

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang slunk through shadows, making her way to the back of the patrol. Spotting a dark brown bengal (Tigerbite),she crept forward, careful not to make any noise. The she-cat lunged, sinking her teeth into the warrior’s neck. Blood poured from the wound as the cat fell to the ground. They were still alive, but blood loss would kill them soon enough.

She pressed herself back into darkness, watching the patrol erupt with shocked yowls. I sick grin formed on her face as she prepared to attack again.

• Viperflame-
Ah, must be Lilyfang’s work, Viperflame mused as she padded silently through the undergrowth, watching the panicked ThunderClan and ShadowClan cats. “Lilyfang?” she hissed into the darkness. “Lilyfang, are you there? Wolfstrike sent me to find and help you, if that’s possible.”

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang whipped her head around, relaxing when she saw it was Viperflame. “I’m over here.” she whispered, briefly flashing her golden eyes so the she-cat could see her. “You can help me find an important cat to take down, perhaps a deputy. Loststar has given me orders not to attack Lizardstar yet,but he’ll meet his fate soon enough.”

She shifted her paws, lowering into a crouch. “If I remember correctly, that is the ThunderClan deputy.” Lilyfang flicked her tail to a white she-cat. “We could figure out a way to separate her from the rest of the patrol and use her as leverage.”

• Parselydust followed her patrol, gritting her teeth. Someone had dragged Tigerbite back to camp to be treated… but the sense of dread in her told her the warrior wouldn’t make it. The Thunderclan warrior tried to push down the sick feeling and glared straight ahead as she walked. She would get vengeance for Tigerbite and all of their warriors lost to Boneclan – this was the reason she had offered to come along, despite having a daughter back at home. She would fight and kill for her to have a better future.

“We’re getting close.” she said lowly, heading up the back of the patrol. She wondered what was taking Shimmerfrog’s patrol so long.

• Viperflame-
“Snowrunner,” Viperflame whispered, creeping a few steps closer to the patrol. “So, what’s your plan, Lilyfang? Since I don’t think your typical ‘I am on your side’ ploy will work this time…” She eyed the ThunderClan deputy, her eyes flashing with cold interest.

• Snowrunner-

Snowrunner unsheathed her claws as Tigerbite was dragged back to camp. “It’s not safe here…” she growled to Parselydust and the rest of her patrol, (who exist, i just dont know who they are :P) “Keep your eyes peeled, there might be Dark Forest cats nearby.” She took the lead of her patrol again, cautiously scanning the trees and foliage ahead for any sign of movement. She would not be blindsided so easily — not a second time.

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang’s eyes lit up with sick fire,a wicked grin on her face. “Follow me,I’ve been planning for things like this since the day I was killed.”

Still invisible, the she-cat walked easily around the patrol, even brushing her tail against a tortoiseshell cat (Dayspring). Once she reached Snowrunner, she slunk back into the shadows, claws out and gleaming threateningly.

“Snow~” Lilyfang purred, reaching out and nudging her. Her voice was smooth and almost calming, not giving away and hints of fierceness or anger. “It’s dangerous,I want to protect you. I can keep you safe.” She flicked her tail to Viperflame, ordering her to come forward.

“Minnowstar is gone, you can’t save her.” The calico murmured, voice becoming even softer and gentler. “You’ll get hurt,so will your clanmates. I just want to keep you safe.” Lilyfang padded closer to the deputy, almost touching her pelt.

“Come on,darling.” She whispered into Snowrunner’s ear. “Go home,it’s not worth the risk. You’ll get killed.”

“After all,I just want to keep you safe.”

• Parsleydust turned her head, a sense of unease filling her. The air beside Snowrunner seemed strangely cold.

“Should we keep going?” she pressed, noticing the deputy’s hesitation. Her eyes traced lines in front of them – they were nearing the camp. Confusion mingled with fear as she glanced around her patrol. She was right; they weren’t safe. A shiver ran over her as she pictured Tigerbite’s twitching body, wondering if she’d be met with a similar fate. Or if her daughter, back at the sparse Thunderclan camp, would be on the front lines to be slaughtered. She sent a silent prayer to Starclan.

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang glanced at the brown tabby standing near Snowrunner and calmly whispered to Viperflame,”Guard her, don’t let her get closer to Snowrunner. I don’t want any cats there to save the precious deputy when I attack.”

• Viperflame-
“Yes, of course,” Viperflame whispered back, her eyes glinting with malice. She dropped into a crouch, intently watching Parsleydust and keeping herself hidden in the underbrush. The moment you move, I will spring… perhaps I should kill you too if I get the chance…

• She shifted closer to Snowrunner and another warrior as they walked, tail whisking to guard her back. She was blissfully unaware of the true danger lurking – nothing could prepare her for the vicious Dark Forest cats.

A shiver ran down her spine.

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang’s eyes narrowed as the cat positioned themselves closer to Snowrunner. She briefly thought of her options before making a decision. “Viperflame, now.” she hissed, emerging from the shadows.

Before anyone had time to react,Lilyfang lunged, hooking her claws into the deputy’s side, making long, red scratches appear. “You’ve made your choice, Snow.” she said, her voice still calm and soft.

“You could have protected you’re clanmates, ShadowClan as well.” She raked her muzzle, blood splashing her pelt. “But you didn’t,you made the mistake of leading them here, surrendering them to BoneClan’s will.” The she-cat fought back, but not hard enough.

“I wish it could be different, but I serve Loststar and no one else, you will be dead when this is over, you will have failed your clan, and you will have lost to our wrath once again.” With that, she leaped at her throat, teeth bared and stained with blood.

• Viperflame-
Viperflame leaped at Parsleydust, claws unsheathed and teeth bared. She rammed into the warrior’s side, flipped her over onto her back, and pressed a claw to her throat. “Surrender, or die. Or both,” she growled.

• Snowrunner-

Snow flinched backwards with every cut and scratch and bite, her mind too focused on fearful instinct and doubtful hatred to retaliate effectively. She couldn’t… She couldn’t think! Couldn’t Breathe! Couldn’t move fast enough…
Truth set in. She would die here, along with all of her clanmates.
Within moments, red had laced its way through her snow-white pelt, turning the pure, clean color into something terrifying and sinister.
Turning snow into blood.
She couldn’t run; Lilyfang matched every move she made and countered it easily, rendering both fight and flight useless. She could only wait, stagger backwards, and try to adjust to the injuries she couldn’t avoid.
It reminded her of Honeypaw…
The memory of her dead apprentice brought a crushing wave of emotion over Snow. The tragedy that had shaped her life… It was remarkably close to the one that would end it, she realized. ThunderClan was about to lose yet another deputy to an unnecessary attack, but this time, it was her fault; not BoneClan’s. This time, she wouldn’t be the one running away. This time… there might not even be a Clan to go back to; maybe there would be no Clans at all. It was all so — pain split across her face.
No! She was running out of time!
Claws tore through her muzzle. Her vision blurred. A scarlet-drenched cloud of Snow fell to the earth, blanketing the forest floor in crimson rain and white fur. Cloudy, blue eyes. Bloodied, stained teeth. Life and Death. She couldn’t run anymore.
She wouldn’t run anymore…
Time slowed. Snow lifted a forepaw, the ghost’s jaws a mouse-length away from her throat. She could feel the air rushing towards her, a violent wing diving for its prey. She narrowed her eyes.
Now!
Snow thrust her front leg into the Dark Forest cat’s mouth, stopping the killing blow by a whisker. She yowled in pain as the Lily’s fangs closed around her, and time sped up again.
“Wait!” She screeched, glancing Viperflame and Parselydust in the corner of her eye. “Wait…” Snow blinked a long, slow blink, trying to gather her thoughts. “You’re right. You win. We can’t survive this battle… But… do we have to die?” Snow pleaded, her eyes filled with a desperate light. “There… There has to be some reason to keep us alive!”
“Right..?”

• Parsleydust gave a sharp yowl as she was bowled over, pain erupting from each blow. She quieted as claws were pressed to her throat and looked over to the deputy. Waiting for what she’d do, how she’d get them out of this. She would…. right? She’d placed her faith in Snowrunner. It seemed Tigerbite had too, and look where it had gotten her. Doubt began to cloud her mind as she was pressed against the ground, watching through blurry vision as Snowrunner was beat down.

I can’t leave my daughter all alone in this cruel world. I’m the only one who can protect her, from Boneclan and from her father. No, no, no, the time isn’t right-I’m not ready to die!

“We can give you information, help you in the attack, anything you want.” she desperately added onto Snowrunner’s words, pushing her dignity aside. Panic had formed a pool in her stomach, threatening to take the breath from her.

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang growled as her teeth snapped shut around Snowrunner’s paw instead of her throat. She backed up,tail lashing,as she considered the cats’ words. Loststar likes bait, and we could get advantages for other fights from them…

She sighed,”I’d prefer to rip you’re patrol apart, but you’re cats have value. You know secrets not even our best spies do. And we could always use you as slaves, make you fight your own clanmates. That would be something to watch. Viperflame and I will escort you to camp.”

The she-cat smirked at the slight relief on some of their faces. “But,I can’t let you go so easily. You must choose one ThunderClan and one ShadowClan cat to let us kill. If you refuse, all of you will die. Choose wisely,my lovelies.”

• She looked in shock to Lilyfang, the words ringing in her ears. Sentence two cats to their deaths?

Her eyes drifted around the patrol, mostly full of cats she’d known for quite some time. How could she stand to let any of them die – or maybe, they’d stand to let her die. Her ears flattened. Would Snowrunner choose, was it a vote, was it random? Each question sent her further to the brink of wanting to scream or run off… maybe both. She dug her claws into the ground as her eyes bored into Lilyfang.

She didn’t know if she had any say in it. But her eyes slowly moved to Cinderclaw, an older warrior of Shadowclan. The tom reminded her of someone… a cat she wished she’d never met. His familiar blue eyes were almost exactly the same, burned forever into her mind. He returned her gaze, terrified as he realized what she was silently implying.

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang carefully watched the apprentice in front of her, smiling slightly as the cat’s eyes traced an older tom. “Oh? Do we already have someone?” she asked, slinking forward.

“Well, that’s ShadowClan’s part of the matter done, what about ThunderClan?” she stared at Snowrunner, her gold eyes flashing. “What do you say Snow, would you like to volunteer a cat? Perhaps one you dislike? One who’s weak?”

• Flickerpaw-
They padded out and joined the crowd, unseen by most, a silent show of support. His thoughts turned to a previous battle, the one that had changed everything.

“Flickerpaw!” Riverdance called, signaling to them with feir tail. “It’s time.” A rush of excitement hit him at the words. His first battle, he shared a glance with their brother, Flarepaw and saw the feeling mirrored in his eyes. The two siblings ran forward to join the rest of the patrol that quickly poured into battle. Riverdance and Flickerpaw attacked a BoneClan warrior, working together as always. He heard Flarepaw’s familiar yowl, a sharp wail that blended in with other battle cries. Leaving his mentor, he raced to help them. Flarepaw lay on the ground, the she-cat’s claws inches away from his pale stomach. Flickerpaw leapt at her, pulling her off his brother. Flarepaw was knocked across the ground by her and Flickerpaw loosed a snarl, digging his claws into the she-cat’s back. “Watchout!” Came Flarepaw’s weak warning but it was too late, the grey and white cat spun, pinning them to the ground. Out of the corner of his eye, they noticed Riverdance’s terrified expression from where they stood, frozen. The cat’s breath stunk as she breathed both a warning and a threat to them. Flickerpaw thrashed, his last movement before her teeth clamped shut around their throat. He died with a smile still painted on his bloody face as he looked at Flarepaw, they had saved them and that was all that mattered.

Flickerpaw shook off the memories that had hit him as he stared into Glitch’s familiar yellow gaze. It had haunted him in the moons since, reminding him of what they’d lost and what he’d had to watch happen to his family.

• Viperflame-
“So?” Viperflame asked coolly, eyeing the warriors with disdain. “Who will you sacrifice?” She thought she felt an odd presence in the air, but she shook it away. I’m imagining things, that’s all…

• The warrior they’d decided on, Cinderclaw, looked towards a tiny gap in the warriors. Parsleydust felt a pang of guilt as she moved closer, blocking the exit. It hadn’t even been her place to volunteer the Shadowclan cat, but none of his own clanmates seemed to protest. Thank Starclan Shimmerfrog wasn’t on this patrol. She thought of the Shadowclan deputy faintly before turning back. She flinched at the looks on the Dark forest cats’ faces, wondering who Snowrunner would choose.

• “Why, hello.” Glitch purred gently, “I don’t believe we have properly met yet.” She sat down, staring at the cat in front of her. “Its good to finally meet.”

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang’s eyes widened slightly as Glitch appeared, but she quickly forced a purr and a smile. The she-cat was strong and manipulative, someone Lilyfang would normally like. But there was…something off about Glitch. She just couldn’t quite put her paw on it.

“If Snow doesn’t make her decision soon, perhaps Glitch would like to choose.” she said, turning her gaze to the deputy once again.

• “Oh darling!” Glitch purred. “I would love that. Of course, ThunderClan is quite fun sometimes.” Glitch turned invisible and then wove herself around Lilyfang with a gentle purr. “Dear, as much as I would love to hurt some ThunderClan cats…” Glitch lowered her voice and it harshend with menace. “I think, there is someone who is would love to do it. And I would never pass up a chance to make someone suffer.” Glitch turned her gaze to Flickerpaw. “Well darling, I’ll give you 10 seconds to decide.”

• Flickerpaw-
His eyes widened, “Me?” He stammered, “I don’t even know these cats!”

• “Well then, I’m sure this is a great well to get to know them.” Glitch purred, her cruel eyes were ruthless.

• Flickerpaw-
He glanced around the clearing, heart thudding. No, I refuse to sentence any more cats to death, the realization slammed into his pounding head. “No.” He said at first, trembling, then again, “No,” more certain in his answer.

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang pushed her muzzle in Flikcerpaw’s face, her eyes gleaming. “I’m afraid you don’t have a choice, my love. Now choose.”

• “Darling, don’t make this harder on yourself than it has to be. Just chose. There must be a cat you don’t like. Perhaps maybe one you want to see, well, hmph, suffer?” Glitch’s eyes glowed golden in the light, purring gently she turned her gaze to the deputy, who had been quite ignored. She lifted her paw to her throat and did a small slicing motion. Then, Glitch chuckled lightly, and turned back to Flickerpaw and Lilyfang.

• Viperflame-
Viperflame watched the two Dark Forest cats talking to some invisible spirit, her eyebrows raised. It seemed like the other spirit was resisting the idea of getting to choose who Lilyfang would kill. We’re wasting time- let’s just kill Cinderclaw, and perhaps Snowrunner herself, and take the rest of these miserable ThunderClan and ShadowClan mouse-hearts back to camp for Ashstar and Loststar to deal it…

• Flickerpaw-
“This is my first time back with the Clans since my rather untimely death,” he snarled, “No. I will not choose. I don’t know these cats and I will not end their stories.”

• “My oh my… That’s quite unfortunate. Because I’m afraid you don’t have a choice.” Glitch turned her gaze to Viperflame, and spoke in the quietest voice ever, making sure that Viperflame alone could hear her. “My love, don’t worry, they will all die, so why not have some fun with it first?” She purred, her eyes gleaming as she stared at Flickerpaw. Chose.

• Lilyfang-
LIlyfang smiled to Viperflame, trying to convey her message. She didn’t plan on letting the others live, and she didn’t expect Ashstar to have pity. Once they got the information needed, the cats would be killed. It was fun to watch them struggle and turn on each other,so she wanted to drag it out as much as possible.

“Don’t drag this out, choose a cat,or all of the ThunderClan patrol dies. You’d be killing more cats that way than if you picked just one.” Lilyfang circled Flickerpaw, wanting to lunge right then. But she restrained herself, and instead pressed against his side, purring.

“We’ll gladly kill you if you don’t cooperate, now c’mon. It’s not hard, look through the crowd and decide. You’re right, you don’t know any of them, that’s what makes it easier. There’s no emotional ties holding you back,no memories you have of them. Now go ahead,we haven’t got all day.”

• Flickerpaw-
They hesitated but nodded, flicking his tail at Parsleydust and Ravenflight. “Them,” he whispered, voice breaking. I can’t destroy their Clan he thought, mind going to Flaresong, Sunsurge and Skywatcher.

• “Purrrfect.” Glitch murmured, keeping her gaze steady as she stared at Flickerpaw with a smile. Oh how she wanted to kill him, but over all the years, she had learned to control herself. After all that was how she had died. Glitch was loyal to Loststar alone. She would listen to Honeyblaze, and she quite liked Lilyfang, but her loyalties lay with the cat who let her into the Dark Forest. “Now,” Glitch murmured softly, half to herself, “they can’t stop us now.” Then Glitch lifted her head and stared ahead at all the cats, the corners of her mouth twitched in the most menacing smile ever. “It’s time to finish this. Once and for all.”

• Lilyfang-
LIlyfang leisurely walked over to the cats Flickerpaw motioned to. “Why,you’re friend was quite generous,he only needed to pick one.”

She unsheathed her claws,”It’s not all bad, killing you two will keep the rest of your patrol safe.” Lilyfang lowered her voice so only they could hear her. “Well, until we’ve used them for what we need.”

Laughing, the she-cat positioned herself to pounce on the tom, still smiling sweetly. “Any last words?”

• Glitch looked at the she-cat with a soft smile. “If I may, I think it’s best if Flickerpaw sees this.” Glitch whispered, purred gently.

• Lilyfang-
“Of course.” Lilyfang responded,a bit uncomfortable with how close Glitch was. She waved her tail to the StarClan cat,a wicked gleam in her eyes. “Come closer, love. Don’t you want to watch?”

• Glitch muttered to herself harshly. Of course they don’t. Don’t act like your stupid. She pulled away from Lilyfang. Glitch closed her eyes, fixing herself so that she turned unseeable to even Lilyfang. It was a skill she had picked up from StarClan. Glitch made sure that she was unseen before slinking off to fall behind Flickerpaw, trying to make sure her presence was unseen. Loststar? If you can hear me, I have a message. I have figured out how to destory the StarClan cats from the inside. If you have an idea on how to repay me- of course you don’t have to my lovely, but if you do, I will tell you how. Glitch then circled around to Lilyfang, not making herself visible quite yet. She wanted to see how the other cats reacted. Glitch flicked her tail with slight anger as she sat down next to Lilyfang, keeping her destance so Lilyfang wouldn’t be able to feel her presence. I deserve to be the leader next to Loststar. I’ll make sure I get repayed for my crimes this time. Even if its the last thing I ever do.

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang approached Flickerpaw, forcing him to look her in the eyes, and then roughly shoved him towards his chosen cats. “You’ve decided their fate, you must see what happens to them.”

Making sure the apprentice was watching, she slowly circled the two, enjoying their fear. The she-cat noticed Glitch had disappeared, but she doubted she was actually gone. Enough stalling.

Lilyfang lunged, hoping to knock over the brown tabby. She slashed at her pelt, laughing softly. She had fought in several battles that day,but it was worth it. The exhilaration it gave her was something she craved, the harder her opponent fought the better.

“You’re awfully weak to call yourself a warrior.” The she-cat commented, grinning as claws caught her chest. “This won’t be much of a fight.” Lilyfang bit down on the cat’s ear, blood filling her mouth.

She knew she could go for a killing bite, but what was the fun of that? Torturing a victim before they die made it fun,Lilyfang liked watching them suffer. A wound appeared on her side, she fought back harder. A paw raked flesh dangerously close to her eye,she fought back harder. She was panting, blood was coating her pelt, and she had never felt more alive.

• Glitch looked at her, and closed her yellow eyes, enjoying the feel of blood splatter against her pelt. Quickly making herself re-appear, she walked over to Lilyfang, and quickly, with the swiftest movment she could make, knocked Flickerpaw down while he was staring at the cats. “Ah, sh…” Glitch quickly hushed him, a odd feeling creeping up her spine. She was being watched. “You’ll die before they can hear your screams.” She snarled. Glitch felt an odd rage swirl up her bones, and more than that, there was an odd presence that she felt beside her. I guess I don’t get to have any fun first. Glitch dug her claws in, about to deliver the killing blow to the apprentice, but she let out surprised hiss as claws dug deeply into her scruff. (ANY STARCLAN CAT CAN BE THE CAT THAT ATTACKED HER BUT IF NO ONE RESPONDS I KNOW WHO I’M GOING TO DO)

• Flickerpaw-
He barely noticed as he hit the ground, barely noticed Glitch’s words. His thoughts hovered on the blood splattering the ground. The blood that would stain his paws, even if he didn’t touch them at all. This was their fault. Their eyes glazed as the realization settled in. They could’ve just sentenced their brother’s friends, mate, children, to their death. And it was all his fault.

Drizzlepaw-
She slipped silently into the forest, freezing at Flickerpaw’s starry pelt. He had died around the same time she had and they had grown close in StarClan. Her eyes narrowed and she leapt at the yellow-eyed she-cat, digging her claws into the other cat’s scruff.

• Flickerpaw-
He trembled slightly, staring into the gleaming eyes of his killer. “It wasn’t exactly the most opportune of circumstances last time,” he said coldly.

• Her ears flattened at Flickerpaw’s choice, a sense of betrayal rushing through her. She bared her teeth at the dark forest cats… and more importantly, at the Starclan cat who was supposed to protect them. Her eyes hardened.

“I am a mother. My daughter needs me!” she snarled in the apprentice’s direction. A newfound strength fueled her, pushing away her fear and replacing it with rage. Nobody was going to take her away from her daughter and she certainly wasn’t going down without a fight. It’s not my place, or anyone’s, to decide a cat’s fate. Her claws dug into the dirt with that thought. She stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Cinderclaw and met their gazes. A challenge burned yellow fire in her eyes.

“You can kill this cowardly apprentice for the second time, for all I care. But you’re not going to lay a claw on me or my patrol!”

• (I think the only living cats that can see the ghosts are Roseshade and Skipflight 🙂)

• (would anyone like their OC to be the cat that killed Flickerpaw previously?)

• Glitch~

Glitch held her head down, purring gently as she stared at all the cats. “Sweet innocent lives. Wouldn’t it be so painful if one of the dear cats… oh, got lost.” Glitch tracked through the forest, her shinning grey pelt was transperent and invisible as she walked. “Isn’t that right darling?” (One of the Dark Forest cats, I don’t really care who but I don’t want to control any characters so someone can just respond. 😛 )

• (I’m making a new comment so things aren’t as squished.)

Lilyfang-
Out of the corner of her eyes, the she-cat saw another starry pelt appear near Flickerpaw and Glitch. They seemed to be fighting, which confused her slightly, but she shook it off, digging her claws into the brown tabby’s stomach. Blood pulsed from the wound, and Lilyfang smiled, slowly loosening her grip on the cat. They were severely hurt, and she knew they would die soon.

“Who’s next?” She purred, looking between he black tom and Cinderclaw. Lilyfang approached the ShadowClan cat, enjoying the fear in his eyes. She circled him, ignoring the burning of her injuries. They were worth it,she had won all the fights she had gotten them from.

Without warning, she lunged, raking her claws across his muzzle. The battle was a blur of blood and teeth and screams. Cinderclaw was bigger than her,and sturdier than Parsleydust, but she would prevail. BoneClan always prevailed, and soon they would be on top.

• Viperflame-
Viperflame silently leaped to her paws, eyeing the situation. She probably wouldn’t be able to help Glitch, since she was fighting an enemy that Viperflame couldn’t even see. Lilyfang also looked pretty happy with her execution job, so Viperflame would leave that to her. So, she would focus on the things she could do.
Sure, they had forced the patrol to choose three cats to sacrifice, but that was no guarantee that they would stay docile when they were brought to camp, especially if the ThunderClan and ShadowClan invasion had begun. They might choose to fight with their Clanmates, especially since they had backup.
But hmmm, she reasoned, if we can put Snowrunner in a position where she can’t fight at all… she might make a more convenient hostage. She’s also valuable, so her Clanmates might want to do anything possible to keep her safe.
With a decisive flick of her tail, she crept up on the ThunderClan cat and then sprang, landing neatly on Snowrunner’s back. Viperflame’s eyes flashed with cool malice as she brought her front paws down onto the deputy’s neck, slamming her head hard into a tree root.

• Iris-
They startled awake in the Nursery at the sound of voices outside and instinctively tightened around her kit only to find that she wasn’t there. They quickly jumped to their feet, her eyes narrowed as she searched her den. Ivykit was nowhere to be found. “Ivykit!” She called, frustration edging her mew. She began to pad towards the opening of their den, StarClan help me. Ivykit is too adventurous for her own good.

• Ivykit~
“Yo! Mom!” Ivykit shouted, bursting into the nursey. “I’m back from my little… trip.” Ivykit spat out a rat she had caught in the forest. She quickly ate it.
“De-lici-ous!”

• Iris-
She gave a startled mew as Ivykit came barreling past her into the nursery holding her find. “Ivykit!” She reprimanded, “You scared me, you should know better than to go outside without me, especially into the forest.” She added with a soft sigh. “Especially with the other Clans out there, they’d eat a little kit like you,” she said, eyes widening in an effort to push the point into the small purple eyed kit.

• Ivykit~
“Those cats? Nah. All of the clans fear the BoneClan! And for good reason too!” Ivykit said. “I can’t wait until we take over the whole forest!”
Ivykit licked her lips, savoring the rat she just ate, along with the thought that crawled into her mind. “Just you wait, Mom, I’ll be the leader of BoneClan one day…”

• Iris-
She chuckled slightly, “Don’t let Ashstar hear you say that.” Speaking of which… she glanced towards the den opening again, “I’m going to check in on what’s going on out there,” she mewed to Ivykit, “Promise me that you will stay out of trouble?” She checked, already taking a step forward.

• Ivykit~
“Mom, don’t ya know? I love gettin’ into trouble! It’s my passion,” Ivykit said simply, rolling her eyes. “Enjoy your time outside! I’ll be… enjoying mine.”

• 🦦 ♥ 𝙼𝚒𝚗𝚔𝚝𝚊𝚒𝚕 𝚒𝚜 𝚁𝚞𝚗𝚗𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚂𝚆! ♥🦦 says:

(I love Ivykit so much she’s so sassy XD)

• Lilypaw-
She flinched at Ashstar’s derogatory tone and continued her hobbled gait. “Really, that’s not necessary,” she muttered, voice dripping with sarcasm. She took her new post in front of the nursery, not bothering to peer inside.

• Lillypaw-
Lillypaw was curled up in her nest with her fur pressed against Flightpaw who was in the neighboring nest. They were on the outside and in leafbare it was freezing and she was glad for the company. She stretched and gave Flightpaw a prod, “It’s dawn, time to wake up sleepyhead.” She whispered.

Flightpaw-
He was woken by Lillypaw prodding him in the side. As he glanced outside the den the sun was barely peaking over the horizon but she was right, battle training started early and Lillypaw and him were partners. He sat up and shook the moss out of his fur and followed her out of the den and into the forest for training.

• Wolfstrike-
She dropped Minnowstar into one of the spare nests in the medicine den. “Here’s the medicine den.” Something she probably already guessed via her nose and the intense smell of herbs. I don’t think she’s lost her sense of smell. “Make yourself at home…? You’re going to be here for a while, I’m guessing.” Is there an etiquette code for treating prisoners?

• Minnowstar-

Minnowstar grunted as Wolfstrike dropped her, the nest below her doing little to soften her fall. She shifted at the deputy’s words, halfheartedly trying to get comfortable, but her mind was elsewhere. The BoneClan patrol left some time ago, which means my clanmates are likely fighting for their lives this very moment! What if WindClan doesn’t make it in time? What if they aren’t coming at all? She shuddered, wondering if BoneClan would return victorious in the morning, her clanmates either dead or captured. What would she do then?
The direness of Minnowstar’s situation was setting in now. She’d placed so much faith in WindClan’s arrival that she hadn’t considered any other alternative; and then there was the matter of her own fate. Even if RiverClan won, what would happen to her? Would they even know where she was? Would BoneClan kill her, or worse, use her to get RiverClan to surrender? I’ve made a mistake… She realized, her eyes wide with fear. A mistake I cannot undo alone.

• Wolfstrike-
Keeping an eye on the RiverClan leader, Wolfstrike stared out into the pounding storm outside of the medicine den. What’s happening out there? Although it was pretty unlikely that any BoneClan cats would die, she still worried about it anyway. Also, the fact that RiverClan had gotten wind of BoneClan’s attack mere hours after the possibility of one was just mentioned had unsettled her. How did they learn that so fast? Who told them? Minnowstar wouldn’t just wander onto our territory for no reason…
“Tell me if you need anything,” she told Minnowstar, still staring outside at the rainy sky.

• Cloudsight-
Cloudsight began to sort their herbs, setting out piles of marigold and dock leaves in preparation for when the battle patrol returned.
They paused over the neat pile of nettles in the corner. Those would be useful for treating a dislocated limb, but Cloudsight didn’t want to waste herbs. It was odd, having an injured cat in their den but not being expected to heal her.
“Hold still,” Cloudsight said, walking over to the leader. They pressed a paw once again against her shoulder. “I want to check and see if the dislocation broke the skin it all, which could lead to infection.”

• Minnowstar-

Minnowstar allowed the medicine cat to examine her, but watched them with a wary eye. Cloudsight had wanted her leg broken, after all, and had only kept it dislocated because they had no time. They had all night now, time was no longer a restriction. What was stopping them?

(It can be infected if you want 😉 )

• Cloudsight-
“Huh,” Cloudsight said, sniffing at the leader’s fur. The skin by her shoulder was a bit torn up, but it was the scent of dirt that would be worrisome if Cloudsight wanted to make sure she stayed alive. “Lick that clean, unless you’re in a hurry to die,” they said, beginning to chew a mouthful of marigold for a poultice.

• Wolfstrike-
“Should I get Shadowpaw? He might be around in camp somewhere- he wasn’t on the attack patrol, I believe,” Wolfstrike asked, turning around. “He could go looking for herbs, even if he can’t help treat anybody.”

• Cloudsight-
Cloudsight’s tail twitched in annoyance at the mention of their former apprentice. “Sure, if you can find him,” they muttered, “But don’t be surprised if he’s not in camp, who knows what he’s up to these days.”

• Wolfstrike-
Right. “Okay- yowl, or something, if you need me. Chances are you won’t, but still,” Wolfstrike said, padding out of the medicine den. Just a precaution. Cloudsight can take care of any problems that might show up, especially since Minnowstar won’t be able to do much right now on three legs.

• (Hmm yes, being active 😛 )

Minnowstar-

Minnowstar followed Cloudsight’s order absentmindedly, the harsh pounding of rain just outside the medicine den taking her thoughts back to her territory, where rain was the least of two storms.

• Wolfstrike-
She had poked around the camp for a while, peeking behind the trees at the edge of camp, some of the dens, etc. all in vain. Where is Shadowpaw? Oh, well, it doesn’t matter. He’ll be in camp sooner or later, and this doesn’t seem very urgent anyway. “When do you think the patrol will be back?” she asked, padding back into the medicine den.

• Cloudsight-
“Whenever Riverclan realizes that they can’t win,” Cloudsight replied with a shrug, applying the marigold to Minnowstar’s leg. They were a little surprised the patrol wasn’t back yet, but maybe the fish faces were better fighters than they remembered.

• Wolfstrike-
“They should have realized that a while ago,” Wolfstrike mumbled, a little nervously. “Without their leader and all… How good is Nightpool at leading?” It’s probably nothing… they’ll be back… we’ll have won, everything will be okay, no one will die…

• Wolfstrike-
“I’m going to guard the entrance of the camp,” she said, rising to her paws. I can sit fiddling with stuff like a nervous squirrel there without bothering Cloudsight. “See you later.”

• Cloudsight-
“Alright,” Cloudsight replied, nodding. “Yowl if you see anyone that doesn’t belong here.” They had no idea how good Nightpool was at leading, or how Riverclan had kept their clanmates occupied so long, but it couldn’t hurt to have a lookout.

• Lilyfang-
“Hello, loves.” Lilyfang purred as she sat down near the entrance. “We’ve got word that ThunderClan may try and reclaim MInnowstar,so I’ve come to make sure that doesn’t happen.”

• Wolfstrike-
She padded back into the medicine den after Lilyfang. “Oh, wonderful.” Looks like we get to see some action today after all. “How did the attack go?”

• Cloudsight-
Cloudsight tilted their head, considering the information as they stared in the approximate direction of Minnowstar. “Interesting,” they said, smiling slightly. “Looks like the clans are attached to her. They’re going to have the numbers, but we have the leverage.”

• Wolfstrike-
“We have the leverage,” she agreed. “But we can’t threaten to kill her right away.” Her voice dropped to a whisper. “That would be no fun, would it? What if…” a grin flitted across her face, “we used ThunderClan’s attack to force ThunderClan into submission?” We could kidnap one of their warriors during the battle… perhaps even Lizardstar himself…

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang considered Wolfstrike’s words before smiling slightly. “I agree that immediate threats are a bit boring. Using warriors against their own clan would be much more interesting.”

• Cloudsight-
Cloudsight smirked, whiskers twitching with amusement. “Well, she probably has some lives to spare….” they said, smirking at Minnowstar. “That would certainly be convenient,” they agreed, nodding.

• Wolfstrike-
Everyone’s okay, see? Wolfstrike told herself, something inside her melting with relief. Before her emotions could get the better of her, though, she pulled herself back up again. “Is anyone else coming?” she asked. “We should probably form up some sort of plan, in any case…” She blinked at Lilyfang. “Could you turn invisible, for instance, sneak up on one of their most important warriors, and pin them down? Or immobilize them in some way?” The Dark Forest’s powers have so much potential… we should use it. She tilted her head at Minnowstar. About her… she’ll be less useful if she’s unconscious. How powerful are Cloudsight’s poppy seeds?

• Lilyfang-
“Quite well.” Lilyfang responded. “When I left, almost all of the WindClan cats were bleeding out on the ground, and RiverClan is down to a few apprentices.”

• Minnowstar-

Grief, guilt, fury and vengeance hit Minnowstar all at once. If Lilyfang was serious- and she almost certainly was- then she had not only failed her Clan, but the entire lake.
“Why… Why do you crave violence? Seek control?” Minnowstar heaved herself to her paws, trembling slightly as her injured paw pressed against the ground. “We never asked for this, never even lifted a claw, and yet… Here we are, all the same.”

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang considered the RiverClan cat for a while before answering. “Control will bring us the best in life, dear Minnowstar. It doesn’t matter what happens to other cats,if we succeed it is worth it.” She got up and stretched, pleased to see her wounds were starting to scab over. “Wolfstrike has a point as well,I am loyal to BoneClan and nothing else. Their well being is my first priority, and if I have to kill every single cat from others clans for them to be on top,I will.”

The she-cat dug her claws into ground, wanting to pounce on Minnowstar. She instead got up and walked out of the den. “I’m going to look out for ThunderClan cats, hopefully someone worth attacking will be with them.”

• Cloudsight-
Cloudsight nodded their approval of Wolfstrike’s plan, whiskers twitching with amusement at the notion of the clan cats trying to fight an invisible foe. Their enemies would be living in their world for a change.
“Whatever we do, we should be ready for their attack,” Cloudsight said, crouching beside Minnowstar. “I think seeing Minnowstar with a claw to her throat would be a good way to distract them from Lilyfang sneaking through their ranks,” they added with a cruel smile, unsheathing their claws.

• Wolfstrike-
Why do you crave violence? Seek control? Minnowstar’s words echoed in Wolfstrike’s mind. “It’s best for BoneClan, that’s all,” she said, giving the RiverClan leader a weird look. It’s what I’ve been taught for my whole life… for my whole life ever since Silverstreak- Mother- died…
But this is what she would want too, wouldn’t she? For BoneClan to grow strong… wouldn’t she?
Wolfstrike slammed that train of thought shut before it could take a turn into the wrong direction. Of course she would… BoneClan comes first. Loyalty is everything. “Sure… as long as she keeps her mouth shut,” she replied, turning to Cloudsight. “I’ll go build a gag… Several vines would work, yes? And then…” a cold grin flashed across her face, “let the fight begin. ThunderClan will learn their place.”

• Lilypaw-
She fought the urge to collapse when she made it inside and gritted her teeth at the pain. Maybe I can fake it? “I came to see if you needed any help here.”

• Wolfstrike-
“Lilypaw!” Wolfstrike exclaimed, whirling around. “We’re expecting an attack from BoneClan… but…” she stifled a gasp at the sight of the apprentice’s wound, “you don’t need to fight if you can’t…”

• Lilypaw-
She hesitated but steeled herself against the pain, “Ill be fine,” she murmured, trying to keep the tremble from her voice.

• Cloudsight-
Cloudsight sniffed at the apprentice, scowling at the heavy scent of blood. “Got yourself hurt already?” they grumbled, shaking their head. “Well, you won’t be any use if you fall over dead.”
They grabbed a bundle of cobwebs, and started to bandage Lilypaw’s leg. A marigold poulitice would have done her some good, but with Thunderclan arriving any minute they probably didn’t have time.

• Cloudsight-
“A gag would be a nice touch,” Cloudsight agreed, their pelt prickling with anger at Minnowstar’s words. Not just because they offended them, but because they were struggling to come up with a good answer.
It doesn’t need an answer, Cloudsight reminded themself, Some things just are.

• Wolfstrike-
“Okay,” Wolfstrike replied, slipping out of the den and returning with a thick vine. “Will this do?” she asked, dropping it on the ground. She shot Minnowstar a glance. I’ve always believed that this constant fighting, invading, and warfare was the only way to guarantee that BoneClan would grow and stay strong… but none of the any other Clans do what we do, and they’ve been surviving for generations…
Quit thinking traitorous thoughts, Wolfstrike! Loyalty is everything…

• Cloudsight-
Cloudsight turned away from Lilypaw to run a paw over the vine, and nodded. “That’s thick enough that she won’t chew through it easily,” they agreed, “Make sure it doesn’t interfere with her breathing, though.”
After a moment’s hesitation, unsure if she was expecting them to gag the leader, Cloudsight added, “You’re going to have to do it.” As usual, the admission made them feel uncomfortably weak, but they turned away before Wolfstrike could see the flash of anger across their face.

• Lilypaw-
She relaxed when the cobweb was wrapped around her leg and began to stem the blood flow. “What’s the vine for?” She asked, glancing between it and Minnowstar.

• Wolfstrike-
“Gagging Minnowstar,” Wolfstrike replied, picking up the vine in her mouth and carefully picking her way over to the RiverClan leader. “She knows too much. Hold still,” she added to Minnowstar. It might slip off if I do one simple loop around her muzzle… hmm… if I added a few loops around her neck and ears, it might secure it… “If I disrupt your breathing or anything, scratch the ground.”

• Cloudsight-
“She talks too much,” Cloudsight replied, lashing their tail in the direction of Minnowstar.

• (In Cloudsight’s defense, two sentences of dialogue is the new record for a prisoner of BoneClan 😛 )

Minnowstar-

Minnowstar’s eyes flashed in the dim light of the medicine den. There was fear there, obscured underneath the veil of indignance and pride she hid behind, but it was unlikely anyone saw it in the dark. She found that she felt unreasonably calm despite her situation. Yes, she would be gagged so there was no way to warn ThunderClan of BoneClan’s strategy; yes, she was practically useless with her leg injured so severely, but she had faith they would emerge victorious regardless.
Like the faith you had in WindClan? A part of her asked scathingly.
She closed her eyes.
No, it’s nothing like that! This time will be better, this time… This time…
This time… What?
This time, BoneClan would be able to use her as a direct threat, as well as any ThunderClan cats they got their claws on.
This time, she would witness the battle firsthand, but would stay completely helpless and be in even more danger.
This time, She would have knowledge of BoneClan’s plans, but would be stopped from sharing them by a single vine.
This time, it was still her fault.
This time was far worse.
Minnowstar opened her eyes, a needlessly harsh reality temporarily shattering the veil she had put up. How had things gone so wrong so quickly? She could still remember the moment she found that BoneClan scent trail, the one that started right where Silverpaw and Sparrowflight had last been. She had assumed they had been recently captured, so Minnowstar followed the trail, hoping to cut them off before they reached BoneClan camp. Instead, she was captured herself, with no sign of either of her clanmates. She guessed by the reactions of the BoneClan patrol that Sparrowflight and Silverpaw had never been anywhere near BoneClan’s territory, and the scent trail was just a trap laid by BoneClan.
But if that was true, then why were they all so surprised when they found her?
Minnowstar shook her head. It didn’t matter anymore. There was no point in speculating; her Clan had already been defeated anyway, and it was only a matter of time before she outlived her usefulness and her final life was lost.
But even amidst these thoughts, she raised her head defiantly. Whatever happened next, she would never forgive herself if she lost hope now, because it didn’t matter if her leg was broken, or if she was gagged or not, Minnowstar would always be the leader of RiverClan.
That was enough motivation to last her ten lifetimes.

• Lilypaw-
Her whiskers twitched in amusement and she sat down by Minnowstar’s nest, tail curling around her feet. “Did Lilyfang mention something about ThunderClan?”

• Wolfstrike-
“ThunderClan might attack,” Wolfstrike replied absentmindedly. “Might, mind you, Lilyfang just got word that something like that might happen, but a few precautions wouldn’t hurt…”

• Wolfstrike-
“That, and the fact that it would be unfortunate if she told ThunderClan what we were up to,” Wolfstrike agreed, examining the edges of the vine thoughtfully. “Do you have any sap I could use to keep this thing together, Cloudsight?”

• Lilypaw-
She nodded slightly, trying to hide the panic that swept through her at the mention of another attack,

• Wolfstrike-
Wolfstrike carefully looped the vine around Minnowstar’s muzzle, neck, and ears, carefully keeping the vine loose enough so that the RiverClan leader could still breathe, but not loose enough for her to talk.
The end result was… messy.
“Errr… what do you think?” Wolfstrike mumbled, carefully biting down on the ends of the vine, which were twisted together behind Minnowstar’s head. “You can still breathe, right?” she asked. This gag design is highly problematic. First of all, it restricts Minnowstar’s sight, which, all right, isn’t really an issue. Also and however, unless Cloudsight has some incredibly strong sap… who wants to sit behind her keeping this vine together from now until the end of the battle? One that we don’t even know for sure will come at all?

• Lillypaw-
She stifled a laugh at Wolfstrike’s ‘gag.’ “Let me check the herb stores and see if Cloudsight has any sap,” she murmured, standing with a hiss at the pain that shot up her injured leg at the action. She limped over to where Cloudsight kept their herbs and nosed through it. I hope they don’t kill me for this.

• Cloudsight-
Cloudsight tilted their head, trying to imagine what Wolfstrike holding the gag together looked like. They suspected that if they could see, they would be highly amused.
“Cobwebs might work better, actually,” they mused, “They’ll be less messy anyway. Or maybe a bit of both?”
They pushed a bundle of cobwebs and a bit of sap towards Wolfstrike and Minnowstar.

• Wolfstrike-
“Thanks,” Wolfstrike mewed, reaching for the sap and immediately getting her paws tangled up in the cobwebs.
“And this is why I would make a horrible medicine cat,” she grumbled, brushing off the silken threads. “I would mess up everything in the herb store.” How does Cloudsight deal with this all day?
She hurriedly drenched the twisted vine edges with sticky golden sap before carefully wrapping it with cobwebs. “There,” she finished, stepping back. “It sort of looks like some sort of leafy creature is trying to devour Minnowstar’s head, but it’ll work. Hopefully.”

• Cloudsight-
Cloudsight’s whiskers twitched as they pictured the leader tangled up in vines and cobwebs, shaking their head slightly. “As long as it works. Can you talk?” they asked Minnowstar.

• Minnowstar-

“Can you see?” Minnowstar tried to respond, but the vine around her muzzle proved enough to restrict her voice.

Dejected, she slumped down into her nest, cringing as the movement caused sap to drip down the back of her neck. Normally, Minnowstar would have cleaned it away, but under these circumstances…

She didn’t even try.

• Lillypaw-
She quickly turned away from the bitter smelling herbs to focus on the others and her whiskers twitched in amusement at Wolfstrike’s comment. “It would be a miracle if she could,” she said with a grin.

• Wolfstrike-
“Okay, good,” Wolfstrike said, glancing outside. “So, should we go outside and wait for ThunderClan, if they come at all, or stay here? It’s a bit wet out there…” …if that gag falls apart in the rain…

• Lillypaw-
“I can stay here and watch Minnowstar if you want to check in with Lilyfang,” she offered. It would be a nice reprieve.

• Cloudsight-
“If we have the fight in here, we’re bound to trash the herb storage,” Cloudsight grumbled. They’d just finished organizing it, but that sap might not hold in the rain.
“Perhaps one of us should stay here and babysit Minnowstar, while the rest guard the outside of the den?” they suggested.

• Wolfstrike-
Is it safe? Wolfstrike thought, hesitating. Should I leave Lilypaw alone with Minnowstar? She’s an apprentice, too impressionable.
No, she decided, I can’t keep tiptoeing around her for the rest of our lives. We let her fight against RiverClan this morning, and it was fine. I can trust Lilypaw, surely…
“Yes, good idea,” she replied finally. “I’d like to discuss battle plans with Lilyfang and,” she tasted the air, “Bloodhound anyway- your input would be valuable, Cloudsight?”

• Lilypaw-
She smiled, They trust me, she thought, heart warming. She gave a decisive nod, “I can do it.”

• Wolfstrike-
I can trust her, see? She’ll be fine- she’s smart and loyal… also, Minnowstar has a gag, so she won’t be able to say anything. “Thanks, Lilypaw,” Wolfstrike replied. “I’ll be right outside if you need me.” Turning, she padded out of the den. We’ll think up of a great battle plan, and then we’ll show ThunderClan their place. BoneClan is the best Clan, we can do it…

Honeyblaze-
Concealed in the shadows, Honeyblaze slid into the medicine den and sat down beside Lilypaw.
She hesitated for a moment, then let the shadows fall away from her.
“When did you get back here, darling?” She mewed silkily, tilting her head. “I didn’t see you slip away. On the other paw, of course, I was… busy.” Her eye flashed darkly, and she flicked her tail.

• Lillypaw-
She startled and glanced at the she-cat with wide eyes. “Just a few minutes ago,” she managed to stammer out. A tingle crossed her spine like it always did when she found herself face to face with one of the ghosts. They are my allies. She had to remind herself, not wanting to face what it would mean if they weren’t.

• Cloudsight-
Cloudsight nudged a few more marigold leaves back into their piles, then looked up at the sound of Honeyblaze’s voice. “Have you come to join the fun?” they asked, flicking an ear in her direction.
They walked out of the den, scowling at the dreary weather. “Hopefully Thunderclan gets here soon, or we’ll die of hypothermia while waiting,” Cloudsight grumbled.
They shifted their attention towards the entrance of camp, their ears pricked for the sound of the approaching patrol. They felt strangely tense, but they refused to believe that they might be nervous.
If I die, I die. My role is to serve my clan, Cloudsight reminded themself, digging their claws into the damp ground.

Honeyblaze-
She nodded to Lillypaw, then turned to follow Cloudsight’s movement. “I wouldn’t miss it if StarClan themselves came down from the clouds. Lizardstar will be there- a mother can only go so long without seeing her precious children, you know,” she purred, a note of menace in her voice.
Deep down, a familiar ache rose in her chest. It was true- she needed to see him. She missed him. He was all she had left, he was her everything-
“Anyway,” she mewed suddenly, forcing her train of thought to a screeching halt, “Fallenwing has effectively forced WindClan into submission. All it took was one cowardly warrior.” She grinned, remembering the terrified look on Havenflight’s face. “You don’t suppose we should just… Let them take Minnowstar? They’ll take her, move on to RiverClan, and then we can trap the lot of them there- that’s three of four Clans under our control.”

• Lillypaw-
She nodded slightly, copying Honeyblaze’s smile and glancing towards their captive. She gave a quick nod, “That sounds perfect. We have to put up a bit of a fight though or else they will be suspicious.”

• Ashstar

Ashstar walked into the medicine den. ¨Minnowstar. How come you came all the way into BoneClan territory? To get caught? You must know your clan is dying.¨

• Cloudsight-
Cloudsight nodded absentmindedly, their pelt prickling with agitation. What was taking Thunderclan so long?
“Maybe I should switch places with you, Lillypaw,” they muttered, closing their eyes. It had no major effect on their vision, but they felt a headache coming on.
Coward, they chastised themself, but the last time they’d tried fighting since their accident it hadn’t gone well.

• Lillypaw-
She hesitated, not wanting to admit weakness but gave a slight nod and turned to pad out of the den.

• Lillypaw-
Her head shot up when Ashstar padded into the medicine den and she quickly bowed her head slightly to him. At his question, she glanced to Minnowstar, curious as to her answer. She had to know that this was a mission that would go no where? Right?

• Dewstorm-

The grey tom slunk through the main clearing, resisting the urge to pounce on the first warrior he saw. No,he was here for one cat in particular.

As he reached the medicine den,he dug his claws into the ground. There she was, scarred and bleeding and as horrifying as the day he was killed.

You.” he growled, almost whispering. “You took everything away from me,and now it’s my turn.” He lunged.

Honeyblaze-
Dipping her head to Ashstar, she opened her mouth to speak.
A voice spun her head around, and as she turned, she was met by a furious flash of gray.
Ducking away, she lashed out with one paw, snarling.
“I don’t even know who you are,” she hissed, pushing Lillypaw and Cloudsight hurriedly into the back of the den and slashing at the StarClan cat.
With a flash, she realized.
They can’t see him.
“Get out!” She yowled to them, lunging for the StarClan warrior.

• (Endgame vibes from that line tbh, Thanos could never)

• Lillypaw-
Her eyes widened and she quickly leapt away from Cloudsight. “Honeyblaze is fighting…something,” she whispered to them. “We need to leave,” she added, panic beginning to set in. An invisible enemy, how do we fight that?

• Dewstorm-
Dewstorm met Honeyblaze’s claws with twice the force, ripping at her throat. But the she-cat’s weight put him off balance, causing him to stumble back. He shook his head, rage coursing through his body.

“It’s your turn to suffer!” He yowled, slashing at her shoulder. “You need to experience the pain I did!” Hissing as her claws raked his ears, the tom attempted to get on her blind side and throw her off guard. “I will make you feel the way I did, trapped under your claws. It doesn’t matter if I have to die again in the process!”

• Lillypaw-
She spun back around when an invisible force pushed past her into the medicine den. “Somethings here,” she murmured, a tremble in her voice.

• Cloudsight-
Cloudsight hissed under their breath as Honeyblaze pushed them to the back of the den, stumbling and almost falling as they tripped over a bundle of herbs.
“Where are they?” Cloudsight murmured to Lillypaw, pricking their ears in the direction of the fight. They tensed, braising for an attack. “Did those Thunderclan mouse hearts somehow sneak by?”

• Lillypaw-
“It’s something invisible,” she said in a panicked whisper. “We need to leave, Honeyblaze sounds scared.” She managed to get out.

• Cloudsight-
“Invisible?” Cloudsight echoed, staring blindly at the center of the medicine cat’s den. Did that mean that one of the Dark Forest ghosts had turned on them?
They scowled at the sound of Lillypaw’s retreating footsteps, then began to slowly make their way along the edge of their den, hoping to avoid the fight.
“Try not to mess up my den too much, please,” they muttered to Honeyblaze, trying to keep track of her location by the sound of her pawsteps.

Honeyblaze-
“I’m glad you have your priorities straight, you eyeless wonder. Just… Keep Lillypaw safe or something!” She called after them, fury shaking her voice as she lunged again for the StarClan cat.

• Lillypaw-
She bristled, I don’t need help, especially not from a blind cat. She softly limped around the edge of the den, laying her tail across Cloudsight’s shoulder.

• Dewstorm-
Dewstorm dug his claws into the soft dirt, trying not to stumble again. “You took everything from me.” He repeated, barely acknowledging the claw marks that now ran across his neck and chest.

“I was the deputy,I could have continued serving my clan.” The tom snapped at her ear, ripping a chunk of flesh. “I could have found a mate, could have started a family!” Dewstorm winced as the fallen cat’s teeth met his forepaw, blood seeping from the wound.

“Do you remember me now? Remember the cat murdered and left to rot? Because I remember you,Honeyblaze, and I will never be able to forget the things you have done to my clan. To all the clans!” He let himself become visible, teeth bared in a ruthless snarl. “It’s time for you to pay.”

• (i was talking about the one that was “Lillypaw-
She spun back around when an invisible force pushed past her into the medicine den. “Somethings here,” she murmured, a tremble in her voice.” btw)

• ¨Of course there is.¨ Ashstar hissed. Ashstar thought for a moment. ¨ None of the Dark Forest cats would betray us. That means Honeyblaze is fighting a StarClan cat.¨

• Dashfoot-
Well, I wouldn’t say that, Dashfoot thought, skidding to a stop outside of the medicine cat den, where most of the Boneclan cats seemed to be gathered. “Thunderclan is coming, so everyone better look sharp!” xe called to the cats inside.
Xe frowned at the sight of Honeyblaze fighting with some strange cat, but didn’t comment on it. Any enemy of Boneclan was a friend of xyrs.
Xe heard pawsteps behind xem, and spun around to see Wolfstrike following xem into camp.
Mousedung, mousedung, mousedung, xe thought, realizing what she must have seen. Xe stayed invisible, trying to buy xemself time to think.
It looked like Dashfoot was going to have to be a little more creative with xyr lies.
“Looks like I’m a better actor than I thought,” xe said smugly, sliding back into view. “Wolfstrike, before you claw me, you might want to listen to what I have to say,” xe added, with an amused smile. “Because that wasn’t what it looked like.”

Cloudsight-
Eyeless wonder? Cloudsight thought, scowling. “You’re half way to being one yourself,” they grumbled under their breath, relaxing slightly as Lillypaw’s touch. “Where are they at?” they asked the apprentice.
They frowned at the sound of Dashfoot’s voice, wondering what was going on outside. What was the coward up to now? Last time they’d seen xem, they’d been running away so that xe didn’t have to see Minnowstar get hurt.
Interesting, they thought, as the possible significance of that sank in.

• Lillypaw-
“Towards the middle, near the opening to the den,” she mewed quickly, trying not to overthink Dashfoot’s words. “Honeyblaze is bleeding,” she added, almost as an after thought.

• Wolfstrike-
“Oh?” Wolfstrike demanded, her eyes narrowing to slits. Am I misunderstanding the situation here? she wondered. None of the Dark Forest cats would really turn against us, would they? Windmist and that other neutral one weren’t allied with us, but they weren’t against us… maybe Dashfoot was spying? But if he was, wouldn’t I be informed of it? She glanced into the medicine den, where Honeyblaze was…fighting air? Or another StarClan cat? “What were you doing with them, then?” she hissed, jerking her gaze back to Dashfoot.

• (My motivation exceeds me :))

Minnowstar-

Minnowstar glared at the BoneClan leader, using the commotion from the ghost’s battle to rise to her paws unnoticed. It registered to her that she was trembling uncontrollably — her leg must have gotten worse while she was resting — but there was no despair in the motion.
Only vengeance remained now…
Images of her Clan flashed across her vision, setting her eyes alight with hatred and grief as she slithered behind Cloudsight and Lillypaw. The thought of all her clanmates either dead or captured, the idea of Shellfeather in even more agony… it all made her blood boil.
In an instant, Minnowstar knew what she must do, and adrenaline temporarily outweighed her pain. Overwhelmed with raw emotion, an involuntary growl forced its way through her gag, warning Ashstar of her attack — no, her killing blow — then the RiverClan leader hurled herself at Ashstar’s throat with desperate rage, her claws gleaming wickedly in the moonlight.

• Ashstar

Ashstar stepped out of the way and watched as Minnowstar fell on the ground. “Did you really think you could kill me?” He asked. “Maybe I should sit on you so you can’t try to attack anyone.”

• Wolfstrike-
“Once was enough,” Wolfstrike snarled, her eyes wide with shock. If that was me, I wouldn’t have noticed a thing, and I would have died. She advanced on Minnowstar. “You attacked our leader- that is unacceptable. Forget about using you as leverage; you’re too dangerous to live another moment.” She lashed her tail before a thought shot through her mind. Why don’t I kill two birds with this stone?
“Dashfoot,” she hissed, whipping around to face him, “if you’re truly loyal to us, kill her. Now. With your own claws.” She stared at him through slitted amber eyes, her gaze cold. “Or I will kill you both.”

• Lillypaw-
Her eyes widened with shock and she turned to stare at her deputy.

• Dewstorm-
Dewstorm forced himself to keep his focus on Honeyblaze despite hearing what was going on in the background. StarClan had allowed him to come back as a ghost, and he wasn’t going to waste his chance at revenge. “Are you not as strong anymore,fox-heart?” he asked mockingly, raking his claws across the scar over her bad eye.

“Would you rather hide in the shadows and let your friends do things for you?” The tom gritted his teeth as the fallen cats claws met his shoulder, and then the side of his stomach. Steadying himself,Dewstorm lunged at her, hoping to throw her off-balance. His eyes blazed with yellow fire, burning with rage and hatred.

He fought harder than he ever had,his only thoughts being of the battle at hand. The battle he would win. The battle that was possibly the most dangerous one he was ever involved in. The battle that would destroy the evil cat in front of him once and for all.

• Honeyblaze-
She let out a screech of agony as his claws found her mangled eye socket. Pure fire flooded her senses as she ducked momentarily, clutching at her face.
Quickly, she rifled through the faces of her victims in her head, desperate- Flashwing, Rookpaw, Minnowsong, Drizzlepaw, Dewstorm- Dewstorm! There it was. She pushed aside the overwhelming agony and darted forward as he lunged, meeting his attack head-on and dragging her claws through his fur.
“Not as strong? You only wish,” she hissed, close to his ear. “For a deputy, you sure didn’t put up much of a fight- the look of terror in your eyes is one I’ll relish for the rest of my days.” She jerked her head downward and buried her teeth into his shoulder, letting out a muffled yowl of pain as she felt his fur brush against the open wound across her face.

• Dewstorm-
Dewstorm growled as Honeyblaze’s teeth met the should she had just clawed. He twisted around, trying to dislodge her. “You’re a sick,snake-tongue…thing that barley counts as a cat.” he snapped at her throat, digging his claws into the ground when she managed to avoid it. The tom winced when he tried to move his shoulder, causing the blood to flow quicker.

“I’ll kill you if it’s the last thing I do,you’re destroying the world by still existing here.” He was briefly distracted by Dashfoot’s voice, spitting things even Dewstorm could easily pick out as lies. But thoes few seconds left him unguarded, and he fell to the ground as Honeyblaze rammed into his side.

He screeched, hastily picking himself up and raking her the side of her face once again. That seemed to be her weakness, and he could use it to win. Dirt now coated his wounded shoulder, matting the fur down and partially hiding the blood. Someone in StarClan would need to treat it,but not many medicine cats were still there. Most cats were roaming as ghosts, and a few had faded away or been killed a second time.

Dewstorm shook his head,he was getting distracted again, and that meant weakness in a fight. “You’ve hurt enough of my clanmates,it’s my turn for revenge.” The tom pushed all his weight against the fallen cat, effectively knocking her over. He was bigger, which gave him an small advantage. Yet claws hooked his ears and sticky red liquid dripped down his face,Honeyblaze’s eye gleaming. Pain pierced his head, but that didn’t stop him from pinning her down and rushing at her throat.

• (Sorry that I keep messing up Dashfoot’s pronouns…)

Wolfstrike-
“One life,” Wolfstrike hissed at Dashfoot. “One life is all I ask. Prove your loyalty to us, or die.” She tapped an unsheathed claw on the ground, glaring at xem and Minnowstar and trying to ignore Lilypaw’s shocked face.

• (Dashfoot uses xe/xem pronouns!
he walked to the store = xe walked to the store
that food is hers = that food is xyrs
don’t poke them = don’t poke xem
Dash can look after himself = dash can look after xemself)

Dashfoot-
Dashfoot’s smug smile wilted at Wolfstrike’s words, xyr breath catching in xyr throat.
With one brilliantly simple order, she’d effectively shredded the act xe had been planning on pulling.
“To answer your first question, I was trying my paw at a bit of spy work and got caught,” Dashfoot said replied ruefully, with an embarrassed shrug. “While they were questioning me, a runaway Riverclan cat showed up and spilled about the invasion. I figured I might as well try and win their trust, since they already knew.”
All of that was vaguely true, which helped the lie come easy. Xe scowled, glancing at Minnowstar as xe tried to figure out how to spin the next bit. Dashfoot couldn’t kill the cat xe’d come to rescue.
“Wolfstrike, I don’t appreciate that threat,” Dashfoot said slowly, narrowing xyr eyes at the Boneclan deputy. “I was going to tell you Thunderclan’s attack plan, but if you’re not interested, I might just leave.”
Xe glanced at Minnowstar again, disgust making xyr lip curl. She was gagged and wounded, and Wolfstrike just wanted xem to kill her?
“Cloudsight’s blind, Honeyblaze’s busy, and there’s a Thunderclan patrol arriving any minute. Plus, I can turn invisible. Are you seriously going to try to kill me?” xe asked, shaking xyr head.
“I’m getting a little tired of just killing whenever Boneclan wants be to,” Dashfoot murmured, “You always have your explanations, but thus far the only thing the blood on my paws has earned me is a slit throat. I’ve been risking my hide to get you information, but only because I hate the clan cats more than I hate Boneclan.”

• Ashstar

Ashstar grinned at Wolfstrike. Ha. Now we will know if Dashfoot’s loyal to us. But then, Dashfoot will probably run away right now. Ashstar cicled Dashfoot, so xe couldn’t run if xe tried.

• Wolfstrike-
All right… spy work, not too absurd, Wolfstrike thought, examining Dashfoot’s expression. And that runaway RiverClan cat might have been the reason Lilyfang knew that ThunderClan might attack- matches up so far. But something still feels off… xe hasn’t told Loststar about this, probably, or he would have told Ashstar, who seems as suspicious of Dashfoot as I am.
“I’m not asking you to take all of her lives, just one. Just enough to slow her down a bit,” she snapped. “As for killing you, it’s not impossible. Ashstar’s here too, and technically Loststar isn’t too busy to kill a traitorous Dark Forest cat alongside whatever he’s fighting out there. If necessary.” Could I actually use my claws against a former Clanmate? Uncertainty flickered across her eyes, but she pushed it away. “Information would be appreciated, but Lilyfang is going…” Wolfstrike hesitated, wondering if she should say Windmist’s plan out loud, eventually deciding against it, “…scouting and could bring back information too.” She left what “scouting” could mean unsaid- both of them knew that it would be much more than simply prowling through the woods spying on patrols.

• Ashstar

“Maybe we should torture her… Then Dashfoot would have to kill her while she was being tortured… I doubt Dashfoot would even TRY to kill her though.” Ashstar whispered to Wolfstrike. “Maybe we should tie her to a rock.”

• Cloudsight-
Cloudsight slunk around the edge of their den, the wall scraping their pelt as they kept their ears pricked towards the fight.
As soon as they reached the entrance, they darted through, joining Ashstar and Wolfstrike outside. “Xe’s never had much of a stomach for conflict,” Cloudsight commented, glancing unseeingly in the direction of Dashfoot. “I doubt xe’d be stupid enough to betray us. When has xe willingly done anything to put xemself in danger?”
“That said,” Cloudsight continued thoughtfully, “If for some reason xyr more afraid of Thunderclan than xe is of us, I suppose it’s possible.”
“Which would be a mistake,” they added, with a menacing smile in Dashfoot’s direction.
Cloudsight frowned slightly at Ashstar’s suggestion. They were all for sending Minnowstar back to Thunderclan with one less life, but torturing seemed a bit unnecessary. “What good would torture do us?” Cloudsight murmured to their leader, keeping their voice low. “We don’t really have time for that right now, do we?”

Dashfoot-
Dashfoot scowled at Cloudsight’s comment, but was inwardly relieved. The words stung a bit, but they were believable, especially because they were mostly true.
“Cloudsight’s right, I’m not that dumb,” Dashfoot said, tail lashing irritably. “I’m a little too attached to my life to try to switch to the losing side.”
I really am an idiot, xe thought nervously, I’ve only been a traitor for a little bit, and it’s already not going how I’d like.
But, xe reminded xemself once more, it’s too late to back out now.
Dashfoot glanced nervously over xyr shoulder as Ashfoot circled around xem, cutting off xyr escape. Xe sighed, staring at Minnowstar. “How many lives do you have left?” xe asked her quietly.
Only Starclan knew how Thunderclan would react if Dashfoot ended up taking one of her lives, but it was beginning to look like it was xyr only option.
Better her than me, xe thought, the words lased with shame even in xyr head. Xe really was a coward.

• Wolfstrike-
“Ashstar, sir, I mean no disrespect, but we don’t have time to tie Minnowstar to a rock,” Wolfstrike growled, lashing her tail. “So, Dashfoot, prove your loyalty, or I’ll have to assume that you’re a traitor. We can’t sit here all day waiting for you to make your move.” She glanced worriedly outside- BoneClan was in a bad position to fend off an attack right now. If they come now- which they probably will- we’re a disorganized mess- what will happen to us?

• Lillypaw-
She glanced back and forth between the cats, and felt utterly lonely and afraid all at once, having no one to turn to to reassure her that it would be okay. I have to help my Clanmates, she reminded herself and took a post at the entrance of the den, blocking anyone wanting to come in, or out.

• Minnowstar-

Minnowstar had six lives. Six chances. She could technically afford to lose one… and yet… why would she choose to die if she saw an opportunity to avoid it? Besides, she couldn’t convey such a high number without her voice.
Minnowstar closed one eye, leaving a single pool of blue glowing in the light of the rising sun. From this moment forwards, she had one life.
She opened her eye again, waiting for Dashfoot to respond. If xe thought that she would die here if xe killed her, would they still allow it? She could see the BoneClan cats ordering her death anyway, or guessing her lie, but would they risk losing the advantage they held with her alive? She hoped they wouldn’t, even if she could survive one death.

(They miiight know she’s lying; that’s a lot of deaths no one has seen, but you never know :))

Wolfstrike’s eyebrows practically lifted to her ears. One???? What- she said that RiverClan isn’t going hungry, and no one has reported taking over three of Minnowstar’s lives, so did she lose that all to sickness? Or is she lying?
Maybe since she can’t talk, she isn’t saying the real number? No, Wolfstrike reflected, she could use her paws as well, couldn’t she?
She shook her head. “Ashstar?” she asked, dropping her voice to a whisper. “What do you think? If she only has one life and dies now… she’ll die for good. We won’t have her as leverage, but she also won’t be able to do any more damage.”

• Lillypaw-
Her eyes widened, was RiverClan really in that bad of shape? She spun to face Wolfstrike and Ashstar, what decision will they make?

• Ashstar

“Just take one of her lives. If she dies, all of us are safer and if she doesn’t, use her for leverage.” Ashstar said. If she doesn’t die, watch her. Ashstar thought.

• Wolfstrike-
“All right, then, please continue, Dashfoot,” Wolfstrike mewed slowly, waving her tail at xem. “She’s probably outlived her usefulness anyway- she drew the two other Clans here- that’s probably about as much as we can hope for. We can always take more hostages from the ThunderClan and ShadowClan patrols.” She closed her eyes for a moment, trying to ignore the weird sense of wrongness that she felt in her heart. This is the only logical choice, the best choice…

• Lillypaw-
She winced at the cool detachment in their tone. Ashstar observed the scene with a smirk across their features, obviously thinking ten steps ahead of everyone else; her very bones trembled at the thought of what they could do to their allies, to her, if they found out about the doubts she had been having as of late.

• Cloudsight-
“Yes, do continue, Dashfoot,” Cloudsight echoed, their blind eyes narrowed with suspicious. The spotted tabby had always been compliant enough in the past, had something changed? It seemed like perhaps xe was developing a guilty conscience.

Dashfoot-
Dashfoot stiffened as Minnowstar closed one eye, shifting xyr weight uncomfortably from paw to paw.
There’s no way I can kill her, Dashfoot thought, glancing nervously at the cats around xem. The whole point of the attack was to get her back, and plus, xe didn’t want her blood on xyr paws.
“Seriously?” xe growled, stiffening at Wolfstrike’s words. “Unless she’s just winking at me for the fun of it, she only has one life left.” Dashfoot fixed xyr gaze on Wolfstrike, a challenge in xyr eyes. Ashstar was a lost cause, but xe had always though Wolfstrike might have a shred or two of decency left. Apparently not.
“My humblest apologies,” xe continued with a theatrical bow, struggling to think around the pounding of xyr heart in xyr ears “But I’m going to have to turn down your generous.”
“The only question here,” Dashfoot said, disappearing from view as xe allowed the shadows to swallow xem up, “Are you going to kill me for that? Because I’d be more than happy to reveal everything I’ve learned from Thunderclan, but I can’t do that if I’m dead.”
Still invisible, xe turned to look at Lillypaw. Xe felt a stab of sympathy at her expression, and couldn’t help but wonder how she managed to stay sane around such brutal company. “I don’t think it’s ridiculous that I’m hesitant about the whole murder thing. Would you like to slit Minnowstar’s throat, Lillypaw?” xe murmured, “I bet she wouldn’t. Are you going to kill her for that too, Wolfstrike?”
Xe stayed invisible as xe waited for the deputy and leader’s responses, tensed and ready to run or fight if they chose to escalate it to that. Dashfoot knew xe was outnumbered, but xe was also invisible. Hopefully, xe could stay alive until Thunderclan arrived.

• Wolfstrike-
“No, I’m not going to kill Lilypaw for not wanting to murder,” Wolfstrike said, swallowing back the bile that rose in her throat at the thought of killing the apprentice, “but I might still kill you for disloyalty.” Could I, though? Even if Dashfoot decided to stand in the middle of camp and scream “I’m disloyal!” could I actually kill a former Clanmate? Sometimes I wonder if I could even kill Lizardstar and Icesnout, who are the ultimate traitors,… She felt her earlier confidence about her order and threat shattering pretty quickly. What’s the point of making threats if I can’t execute them?
“Fine, if Ashstar approves,” she mewed finally, turning her head away slightly, “pick a different way to prove your loyalty without a shadow of a doubt. Words aren’t enough, sorry. I’ll give you twenty seconds to find something satisfactory, or we’re going with Plan A. Here we go. Twenty, nineteen…”

• Lillypaw-
She flinched at the truth in the accusation and only managed to relax when Wolfstrike began to speak. She stayed silent at Dashfoot’s question, closing her green eyes and looking away. Could I kill her to prove my loyalty? The thought snuck in through the barrier around her mind and she feigned nonchalance. I don’t know. The answer hit her and that was what scared her the most. A true BoneClan cat should know.

• Dashfoot-
“Um,” Dashfoot said, equally startled by Wolfstrike’s decision and panicking at the time limit. “Well, like I’ve been saying, I can explain Thunderclan’s attack strategy so that we can have an advantage in this battle. Other than that……”
Xe trailed off, xyr mind racing. What else could xe do to prove xyr loyalty? All while not actually being loyal?
It didn’t really matter though, because Thunderclan would be here soon. Xe just had to stall and keep the Boneclan cats distracted if xe could.
“Any suggestions?” xe asked with a nervous smile. Dashfoot made sure xe stayed invisible, just in case Wolfstrike decided to follow through on her threat. Xe thought maybe xe’d seen a bit of hesitation on her face, so maybe xe still had a chance.

• Wolfstrike-
“Like I said, no words. We don’t have the time to check if you’re lying or not. Eighteen.” Wolfstrike replied, eyeing the empty patch of air where Dashfoot’s voice was coming from. She glanced at the den entrance, where Lilypaw was standing. We could be using this time to prepare for the attack, but nooo, we must stand around here interrogating a potential traitor instead, how pleasant. Wolfstrike lashed her tail. “Seventeen. And no, I don’t have any ideas other than my original one, apologies.”

• Cloudsight-
Cloudsight’s tail tapped irritably against the ground as they waited, their ears pricked to listen for the approaching forces. “If xe is telling the truth, we might want to know these plans xe keeps alluding to,” they commented.

Dashfoot-
Dashfoot let out a growl of frustration, shaking xyr head. All xe had was words. What else were xe supposed to do?
“I guess you’re going to have to try and kill me then,” Dashfoot murmured, unsheathing xyr invisible claws. “I hope when Thunderclan defeats you you’ll remember that I could have helped you.”
Xe took a couple of light steps to the side, looking for a way out. Still invisible, xe carefully began to creep past Ashstar, remaining as silent as xe could.

• Wolfstrike-
Am I being too harsh? Wolfstrike wondered. Cloudsight said that Dashfoot never really liked conflict… maybe I’m going against xyr moral code, and xe’s resisting that? “Fine, all right, fine, sure,” she huffed. “You can tell us these battle plans- keep in mind that your statements will be checked to the best of my ability, and can be used against you.” I’ll save killing you as a last resort.

• Lillypaw-
Wolf strike is making empty threats, she realized. Is she having doubts like I am? Ashstar can’t know. She backed deeper into the medicine den, eyes scanning the camp for a flicker of movement, some sign of where the invisible cat was.

• Ashstar

Ashstar felt a body hit him. “Dashfoot.” Ashstar growled. “I know your there. Show up, and NOW.”

• Ashstar

Ashstar narrowed Ashstar’s eyes at Dashfoot. Ashstar had saw Dashfoot say something, to quiet for Ashstar to hear. “Dashfoot.” Ashstar hissed. “What did you say?”

(Sorry, I’m bad at they/them. It’s easier doing he/his)

• Ashstar

Ashstar grinned. Lillypaw was 100% loyal to BoneClan. Much more loyal to BoneClan then Dashfoot. True, Wolfstrike. How could the truth mean disrespect? Ashstar thought.

• (Weeeee, conversation being interrupted! Shadowtail is finally gonna get someone to tackle!)
Shadowtail- Shadowtail charged into the medicine den and sprang at Wolfstrike, attempting to pin him down. (This is where the battle’s gonna be right?)

• (Looks like a couple of the most recent posts went poof 😛 )

Cloudsight-
Cloudsight scrambled to the side as a strange cat bolted past them. “Looks like we’ve got company,” they growled, shoving their way past the fighting cats and over to Minnowstar.
“Do us both a favor and hold still,” they muttered under their breath, unsheathing a long claw and holding it under her chin.

Dashfoot-
Dashfoot slipped invisible as the first clan cat broke into the camp, hiding xyr frustrated scowl. So much for being proud of xemself. Wolfstrike had effectively eliminated xyr entire plan, but hopefully Thunderclan would still be able to pull it off.

• (no silly, nothing after the blog came back poofed. Dash explained thunderclans ‘plans’ and wolfstrike told Cloudsight to go sit on minnowstar)

• Wolfstrike-
“Dashfoot!” Wolfstrike screeched as one of the invading Clan cats flew at her, landing with a thump on her back. “Help Honeyblaze!” She hadn’t ordered him to do it before, worried that he’d turn on Honeyblaze or something, but she had to trust him now- they needed all the paws they could get. Wolfstrike dropped all of her weight to the ground and rolled over, forcing Shadowtail to either jump off or get squashed, and jumped back to her paws, hissing. “Get out of here, you mouse-hearted invader!”

• Shadowtail- Shadowtail leapt of Wolfstrike’s back to avoid being stuck underneath them. You should have tackled Cloudsight, His analytical inner voice chastised him. Shut up, He told it. I’m just unlucky enough to be the first cat here. “Uh, mouse hearted invader?” He asked sceptically. “Those two phrases don’t mix, you realize that? It takes courage to invade.” Shadowtail launched a flurry of vicious slashes at Wolfstrike’s muzzle.

• Wolfstrike-
Wolfstrike jerked back, away from Shadowtail’s claws, and whirled back into her spot in the defensive circle of BoneClan cats. “Oh sure, of course, they don’t mix,” she said icily. “Never mind the fact that you chose to attack now when you knew our camp defense was depleted because of that RiverClan cat. Never mind the fact that you chose to attack a camp with-” Oh, drat! “Lilypaw! Instead of bringing the kits here, could you guard the nursery? It’s too dangerous at this point. You can do it, but call for help if you need it.”

• (im slightly confused bc our only kit is out of camp rn but I’ll send Lilypaw over there)
Lilypaw-
She wasn’t sure what to think of the most recent command given by Wolfstrike. Was it because she trusted her to guard the weakest among them or because she was a liability and needed to be out of the way. Glancing down at her partly wrapped leg, she sighed and began a slow journey across the camp, her eyes darting around trying to follow the chaotic battle as she did so. If I’m being honest, it is probably the latter, she realized with a cringe.

• Shadowtail- “If I was a coward,” He hissed. “I would be running away. And I resent the fact that you think I’d attack a kit. Not all of us have zero regard for the warrior code.” It rained here recently, Shadowtail noted. I can use that to my advantage… Shadowtail smacked his paw into the damp earth, sending mud flying up at Wolfstrike’s face in an attempt to temporarily blind her.

• Ashstar

“I’ll go with you, Lilypaw, if your really that slow.” Ashstar grumbled. Ashstar walked, trying to match Lilypaw’s speed and failing.

(Should we switch to the nursery?)

• Shadowtail- Shadowtail let Ashstar and Lillypaw pass without attacking them. When the rest of the patrol gets here, Ashstar will be fairly isolated with only a wounded apprentice, some kits, and maybe a queen or two to protect him, He noted. Maybe when the rest of the patrol gets here they can capture him and do a hostage trade for Minnowstar. Speaking of the rest of the patrol, WHERE IN THE NAME OF STARCLAN ARE THEY?!

• (Wolfstrike is currently unaware that Ivykit is out of camp…)

Wolfstrike-
“Oh?” Wolfstrike snarled, jerking her head away to prevent mud from getting into her eyes. “Well, keep lying to yourself, ThunderClan cat. You’re much more evil than we could ever be.” Whipping around, she smashed her paws into the side of Shadowtail’s head and shoved him into the dirt.

• Shadowtail- “Ow,” He grumbled, thinking rapidly as dirt fell into his eyes. He blinked to clear them. So that didn’t work. I’m going to ignore that insult so I don’t yowl my head off in her face- OH WAIT A SECOND! “I RESENT THAT COMMENT AND I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHAT YOU COULD POSSIBLY BE TALKING ABOUT!!!” He yowled in Wolfstrike’s face as loud as he possibly could, attempting to startle her into flinching away. I can beat her, He assured himself confidently. Yes, you can, His inner voice agreed. Well if you’re agreeing with me for once, I must be able to, He realized, springing up to launch another attack of vicious swipes.

• Wolfstrike-
“Scorching ears- that’s a very interesting battle strategy you’ve got there, you harebrained toad!” Wolfstrike hollered back. She swiped and jabbed for while, hissing angrily as one of Shadowtail’s claws scratched her muzzle, before abruptly ducking underneath him. Twisting around, she gave him an explosive kick to the underbelly before whirling back between him and what was supposed to be the center of the BoneClan circle.
Well. Before it was a triangle, and now, with Ashstar and Lilypaw both off to defend the nursery and Dashfoot and Honeyblaze already occupied, it’s just me and Cloudsight against those two ThunderClan and ShadowClan patrols. Wonderful.
We won’t be able to beat them using sheer force alone… so let’s get some more hostages to use. I can defeat him, at least.
“Surrender,” she snarled, “or die. I am perfectly capable of killing you, if necessary… but would you like to see another sunrise?”

Wolfstrike-
“Scorching ears- that’s a very interesting battle strategy you’ve got there, you harebrained toad!” Wolfstrike hollered back.
Well. Before it was a triangle, and now, with Ashstar and Lilypaw both off to defend the nursery and Dashfoot and Honeyblaze already occupied, it was just her and Cloudsight against all of the cats out to rescue Minnowstar.
Wonderful, she thought irritably. Although, still, defending the kits is more important. We won’t be able to beat them using sheer force alone… so let’s get some more hostages to use. I can defeat him, at least.
“Surrender,” she snarled, “or die. I am perfectly capable of killing you, if necessary.”

• Shadowtail- Shadowtail flew across the den, landing in the bramble wall. “Ow,” He grumbled. “That was rather rude of you. Go ahead and try to kill me if you feel like it, though I’m absolutely sure you’ll regret it later.” USE THE BRAMBLES! His inner voice shouted. Um, what? He asked it. USE THE BRAMBLES! “Oh, right,” He murmured under his breath. “Use the brambles.” He wrenched himself free from the thorns and looped a paw through a tendril of them, ignoring the pinpricks of pain it caused. He ducked low, gracefully looping it around one of Wolfstrike’s hind paws before tucking it neatly back into the wall in a different spot and giving it a strong tug to bring Wolfstrike to the ground.

• (dkjfhajgj I forgot about these guys :P)
Dashfoot-
Dashfoot hesitated, glancing at where Honeyblaze was fighting a strange cat. The she-cat didn’t appear to be paying attention to xem, and she was the only cat around who could actually see xem when xe was invisible. So…..perhaps xe would help her by finding a nice safe place to hide, while Thunderclan and Shadowclan took care of Boneclan.
Quietly, still invisible, xe crept around the edge of the medicine cat den and hid behind it.

Rowanpaw-
Rowanpaw hesitated before following Shadowtail into camp, her heart hammering in her chest as she ran. She glanced over her shoulder, wondering where Lizardstar was. Maybe she should wait? But Shadowtail was already fighting, she couldn’t leave him stranded. “Get off of him!” she yowled, leaping onto Wolfstrike’s back.
Hopefully, more reinforcements would be along soon, because Wolfstrike outmatched her in both strength and skill.

Dayspring-
“Looks like they’re attacking!” she called to Amberdusk, as the first cat entered the camp. She sprang to another branch, until she was almost over Boneclan camp. Bunching her hind legs, she sprang, landing neatly.
Dayspring glanced around, looking for Minnowstar. Her fur went cold as she saw Cloudsight’s claws at her neck. But she knew the medicine cat was blind, so maybe is she was quite she could take them by surprise.

Cloudsight-
Cloudsight sniffed the air, their tail twitching nervously at the sound of pawsteps. They smelled Shadowclan as well as Thunderclan, which didn’t bode well.
“I can hear you, you know,” they growled as one of the Shadowclan cats began to creep closer. “One more step, and I’ll slit her throat.” They smiled as the pawsteps halted, knowing that whoever this cat was, they weren’t going to put Minnowstar in danger.

Amberdusk-
Amberdusk dropped down beside their mother, taking a quick glance around the camp. Honeyblaze seemed occupied, Wolfstrike was outnumbered, and they weren’t going to risk getting Minnowstar killed. They also noted that Dashfoot was nowhere to be seen. The coward was probably hiding, they thought with a scowl.
What they needed was another hostage.
Amberdusk smiled slightly at the sight of Lilypaw and Ashstar heading to the nursery, and darted after them. They wouldn’t hurt any kits, of course, but Boneclan didn’t know that. Plus, Lilypaw could also work.

• Wolfstrike-
Wolfstrike hissed with surprise as Shadowtail yanked hard on the bramble, causing her to stumble, and Rowanpaw jumped onto her back. She jerked her paw free from the brambles, clenching her jaw against the additional jolt of pain that resulted. “I am done playing your little game,” she snarled, suddenly dropping to the ground and rolling over. Wolfstrike leaped back to her paws and sprang at Rowanpaw this time, pinning her down and slamming her head into the earth. “Tell your leaders,” she spat, baring her teeth at Shadowtail and a ShadowClan cat who had also arrived- for Cloudsight and Minnowstar, probably, she thought- “whatever you do to us, we will do worse to your allies. Like this apprentice. Or Minnowstar. Or all of RiverClan, since we’ve probably gotten them… under control, as Honeyblaze’s already back.”

• Shadowtail- Shadowtail sat down and neatly curled his tail around his paws, emanating icy calm while trying to formulate a plan. “Let me tell you a story,” He began. “About three very unlucky cats who are currently fading in Dark Forest.” Shadowtail slid out his bloodstained claws for dramatic effect. “Do you know why they are? They killed my parents, something I’m sure you’ve done plenty of. A very helpful Dark Forest warrior led me to them. They are very very dead now. I’ll leave the rest up to your imagination.” He paused, grinning with false malice while cringing tremendously on the inside. This was a very personal story. “But the point is,” He continued. “You’re one warrior and a blind medicine cat.” He cocked his head, staring intensely at Wolfstrike. “Do you honestly think I can’t send you both to join them in the time that it would take to kill Rowanpaw and take one of Minnowstar’s lives?” I’m conveniently not going to mention that I snuck up on them while they were asleep, Shadowtail thought. But she doesn’t know that. “And if I do,” Shadowtail added, trying to hit a little too close to home. “I am absolutely certain that you will both go to the place of no stars. Are you ready to go there yet? If not I suggest we make a deal.” He said, the second part of his speech falling into place. “Do you know why I let Ashstar and Lillypaw leave this den without trying to shred them? It’s because Ashstar is currently guarding the nursery with only a wounded apprentice, a few kits, and possibly a queen or two to defend him. Right now, I suspect the rest of my patrol is streaming in, taking him hostage, and planning to do a captive exchange. So you could do that. Or you could go defend them and let us take Minnostar. Your choice.” Shadowtail flicked his tail towards the exit. “You can go and I won’t stop you.”

• Wolfstrike-
Wolfstrike’s brain suddenly started spinning ten times faster and her heart felt like it had turned to ice. Foxdung, she thought anxiously, I was the one who sent Lilypaw to the nursery… if they both get captured, what will we do? Maybe we should just leave Minnowstar and Rowanpaw here, and go defend them.
But no, she hissed back at herself, Ashstar wouldn’t want that. Besides, all I’d be doing is putting us at a disadvantage if I went after them now. Also… Loststar’s there too… Ashstar, Lilypaw, Iris, and Ivykit won’t be completely alone against whatever fox-hearted tricks these invaders have up their sleeves.
“If StarClan wants to send a cat who lived and died for their Clan to the Dark Forest, fine, let them,” she mewed coolly. “I don’t care about my fate- all I care about is BoneClan’s survival.” She met his stare with her own. “And you’re underestimating us. I can slit Rowanpaw’s throat and kill you before you could say ‘mouse,’ and Cloudsight can also do the same with Minnowstar. We’re trained, you know. Ashstar, Lilypaw, and-” Nope, not telling, she thought, “can fight off a bunch of mouse-hearts. Also, your kill count and mine are the same, my friend. Yours might be even higher, if you’ve killed more than these three hapless cats.”
Wolfstrike’s amber eyes smoldered in the light of the rising sun. “If I’ll go to the Dark Forest when I die… well, so will you.”

• Shadowtail- Thatbackfiredthatbackfiredthatbackfiredthatbackfiredhelp? Shadowtail asked his inner voice. SHADOWTAIL NOW IS NOT THE TIME FOR GUILT YOU CAN SULK LATER!!! It told him. It’s not as if I can just control when I feel guilty, Shadowtail mentally snapped back at it. YOU’RE NOT GOING TO THE DARK FOREST YOU MOUSEBRAIN! It shouted back. You don’t know that, he sulked. You’re just me if I was stuck inside my own brain trying to drive myself crazy. SAY SOMETHING!!!
“Ok, fine, you’ve called my bluff,” Shadowtail agreed. “I don’t think I can actually kill you both. But I’d like to ask you a simple question. You say all you care about is Boneclan’s survival. Well last time I checked, it was Boneclan threatening everyone else’s survival, not the other way around. You’re going to live and die for a clan of murderers and revenge-crazed tyrants. Go to your nest tonight after this is over and try to sleep on that, I dare you. At least the cats I killed assassinated my family first. What have we ever done to you? If you dig deep, I think you’ll find everything we’ve done has been in self-defence of you trying to take us over. I think if you dig deep, you’ll find that your quarrel isn’t even with us at all. You’re mad at the clans that bested yours the first time and went to Starclan while your ancestors got to rot in the place of no stars.” He paused, trying to think of something more to say. His voice was currently his only weapon. “And I don’t think you’ll slit Rowanpaw’s throat. If you’re really as non-evil as you say you are, you won’t be able to. Plus,” Shadowtail flicked his tail as if chasing away an annoying fly. “When the rest of my patrol gets here, she’s going to be the only thing stopping them from slitting yours.”

• Wolfstrike-
“Your Clan is a clan of revengeful murderers too,” Wolfstrike spat back. “My mother died at the paws of enemy warriors- ThunderClan, to be precise. Unlike you, to this day I’ve never gotten any closure, never learned who killed her. Step out of your sweet fantasy land, Shadowtail. What have you done to us?” She lashed her tail. “You’ve killed our Clanmates. Our friends. Ever heard of Raincl- no, wait. Snake? He wasn’t looking for a fight on the day he died, but WindClan killed him anyway.” Her fury that she had repressed for so long bubbled out into her words. It felt kind of good, raging at Shadowtail, since at least she knew he was listening. “It’s not ‘BoneClan is being ridiculous and power-hungry,’ it’s ‘BoneClan and our ancestors are alone against the world and all the other Clans, so we’ll do anything necessary to survive.’ Kill me if you want. In the grand scheme of things, I don’t matter. BoneClan is the only thing that matters, and it will rise until nothing can shatter it ever again. Forever.”

• Shadowtail- “Every wondered why your alone against everyone else right now?” Shadowtail wondered. “Oh yeah, you’re trying to take us over. Well that’s not going to work. You said it yourself. You stand alone. We fight together. Therefore, you can and will be defeated. The clans will never bow to a bunch of mousebrains who think they’re better than everyone else just because they’re good ad beating people up.” I’m being to harsh, Shadowtail thought. I probably would have turned out this way if Boneclan had adopted me instead of Thunderclan. SHADOWTAIL YOU MOUSEBRAIN! His inner voice shouted at him. SHE’S EGOTISTICAL AND CRAZY AND WANTS TO KILL YOU! I think that applies to everyone here, Shadowtail retorted. So I’ll let her off the hook for that. “Look, maybe I’m being a little harsh.” He tried to emanate a little less fury than he was actually feeling. “But you’ve got to stop thinking about Boneclan Boneclan Boneclan Boneclan. We used to be five clans living around a lake, friendly neighbors. What was wrong with that? The traumatic backstory count was about even for all the clans, and always will be. The problem is, your clan seems to be making it skyrocket for everyone.” His tail lashed unbidden, revealing the anger beneath his words. You can’t accuse a cat who had his parents murdered and then killed three Widnclan warriors in revenge of being in a sweet fantasy world. You just couldn’t. “I could have found so many other ways to say that,” Shadowtail growled. “Bu t we don’t need to take our pasts out on each other or our clans. You want to have a competition on who can insult the other’s clan most badly? I’m sure we both have plenty of ammunition.” (I think I’m going to hop over to the new Blood and Bone Website now for roleplaying.)

• Wolfstrike-
How big can the forest be? Ashstar’s got to be around here somewhere… Tasting the air, she finally caught his scent. There! “Ashstar?” she yowled, racing through the forest.

• Wolfstrike-
She burst into the clearing. “Ashstar!” Oh, okay, so they were just… er… brooding? Couldn’t they have done that in camp? She quickly squashed her irritation. Pulling herself up formally, she asked, “Permission to raid the RiverClan camp, sir?”

• Wolfstrike-
“An attack force is already assembled at the training hollow,” Wolfstrike added. “Um, do you want to go make sure that we have enough cats for the attack?” Are you going to lead the attack? she added silently. Or oversee stuff at camp? She was never sure what counted as insolence and what counted as just asking questions.

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang heard Wolfstrike talking ahead of her,so she followed the voice and slunk into the clearing. “Honeyblaze,I found them.” she called, dipping her head to Ashstar.

• Lillypaw-
She started at the sound of Lilyfang’s voice and glanced to her mentor for permission to follow it. Flightpaw didn’t share her caution and took off after Lilyfang with a teasing glance over his shoulder. After a moments hesitation, Lillypaw burst into motion after him.

Flightpaw-
He could sense Lillypaw behind him so he put on more speed, accidentally barreling straight first into Lilyfang because he was looking behind him. He skidded to a halt and looked at her in shock, bracing for the blow that was sure to follow.

• Fallenwing-

Fallenwing rose to his paws to chase after Flightpaw, pausing as Lilypaw tore past him. Mildly annoyed, he turned to Skipflight. “If this keeps up, I might just make them stay here; though I’m almost certain they’d follow us anyway.” He twitched his ear in amusement at the thought of the two apprentices sneaking after them against orders. “Ah, I suppose it can’t be helped. We’ll just have to hope they learn the values of discipline in the coming battle.” Fallenwing gestured to the other former kittypet to follow him, then he started in the patrol’s direction. “Shall we? It appears they’re waiting for us, and I’d hate to delay our little raid for much longer.”

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang hissed, moving away from the apprentice. She resisted the urge to claw him, knowing that would break down her disguise. “Watch where you’re going, love.” her voice was light, but her eyes were cold.

• Wolfstrike-
She glanced at Lilyfang, wondering how the Dark Forest she-cat could keep her irritation down all the time, and then turned expectantly back to Ashstar. Are they coming? Will we need to get more cats?

• Lilypaw-
She looked at Ashstar expectantly, while she wasn’t excited at the thought of hurting cats, she couldn’t help feel excited at the thought to use her moves on actual cats.

Flightpaw-
Earlier mishap forgotten, he shared a look of excitement with Lilypaw. He was growing increasingly enthusiastic to attack RiverClan.

• *Is BoneClan territory between WindClan and RiverClan? If it’s not, please ignore this comment…*

Wolfstrike-
Wait. She paused. “Does anyone else smell RiverClan? Just asking… it smells like Minnowstar?”

• (So is ShadowClan in-between ThunderClan and WindClan, which is next to RiverClan? 🙂 )

Minnowstar-

Minnowstar peered into BoneClan territory, intending to identify if there was truly an attack force headed their way.
There was.
Minnowstar crouched behind a tree inside the BoneClan border, counting the cats who would be attacking her Clan come nightfall. There were so many, all highly trained and dangerous; capable of causing so much destruction and bloodshed… Could RiverClan emerge victorious from this fight? She hoped Silverpaw and Shellfeather has managed to alert the Clan in time…
Suddenly, Wolfstrike seemed to become suddenly more attentive. The BoneClan Deputy opened her jaws to taste the air.
Minnowstar’s heart lurched.
They know I’m here…

• Wolfstrike-
She whirled around. “Minnowstar!” Narrowing her eyes, Wolfstrike advanced toward the tree. “What are you doing here?” she snarled.

• Flightpaw-
“If she is out of camp, we should launch the attack with her gone. We can aim for the woods, there are bound to be patrols around.”

• Skipflight-
“You’re probably right,” Skipflight agreed to Fallenwing, grinning at the thought of mischievous apprentices. He noticed that his apprentice was looking a little excited, which was good. If he was being completely honest, he was a tad bit nervous, but he was confident that they could beat Riverclan.
“Try to stick close to me once the battle starts, okay?” Skipflight mewed to her, “That way we can help each other out if we get into trouble.”

Dashfoot-
Dashfoot melted out of the shadows, startled to find xyr clannmates clustered together. “Who are you attacking this time?” xe asked with little enthusiasm, tail tip twitching with irritation. Maybe xe should have stayed and bothered Shadowclan more.

Cloudsight-
Cloudsight let out a hiss of annoyance and everyone slipped away back into camp, the forest suddenly devoid of voices. Slowly, they picked their way back through the forest, using the scent of the camp to find their way back.
“You’d know if you actually payed attention to anything,” Cloudsight hissed to Dashfoot, smelling Shadowclan on xyr ghostly pelt.

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang lifted her head up and sniffed, finding traces of RiverClan scent. She smiled, her sharp teeth bloodstained. “I take is those fish-breaths got word of our attack, this will be fun.” Claws out,she started to walk the edge of the clearing, listening for any other cats.

“Flightpaw’s right,if the leaders out of camp, they’re less organized, even defenseless.” Her eyes gleamed darkly, yearning for battle.

• Minnowstar-

Seeing that the BoneClan attack force was not doing anything about her presence, Minnowstar wasted no time in leaving the scene. She ran, staying close to the lake, towards WindClan; hoping to make it in time for the battle to come.
But Minnowstar didn’t have much time: BoneClan was coming soon.

Fallenwing-

“Right you are.” Fallenwing confirmed Flightpaw’s observation. “But there is one problem…”
The leaves near the border rustled, and a grey RiverClan cat bolted back into their own territory.
“They know we’re coming. If I had to guess, there won’t be any patrols. Every cat will likely be at the camp, where they will set up their defenses and prepare for battle.” He glanced at the sky, where a blanket of darkness still shrouded silverpelt’s light. “We’ll be forced to attack the camp directly, where they are at their strongest; the worst possible condition for battle.” He swept his ghostly emerald gaze over the BoneClan attack force, as if challenging them to disagree. “Strategy and cunning will decide the victor of this raid. If we rely on only our strength, we lose”
As he spoke, the first star cut through the void of blackness above. Night had begun.

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang followed Wolfstrike’s gaze, narrowing her eyes when she saw the RiverClan cat. She held her tail up,signaling for the others to be quiet. “Hello, love.” she purred, walking towards Minnowstar. “Why did you come all this way? I’m sure everyone would like to know.” she sat down in front of the leader, smiling.

• Wolfstrike-
She carefully maneuvered herself behind Minnowstar so the RiverClan leader couldn’t make a run for it if she tried.

• Lillypaw-
She nodded to her mentor, but froze at the RiverClan scent.

Flightpaw-
“Minnowstar!” He exclaimed, leaping at the she-cat without thinking.

• (Okay, so I wrote a comment that is 300% irrelevant now because I was in a rush; basically Minnowstar runs away and Fallenwing says something, so… Just pretend that Minnowstar got Glowsong to ask WindClan to help first, and then came here to see if BoneClan is attacking because that would be more fun 😛 Right; lights, camera, action!!)

Minnowstar-

Minnowstar met Wolfstrike’s gaze with indignance. “The question is: what do you want from RiverClan? Why can’t you leave us alone?” She spat, knowing that the heartless creatures before her needed little reason to shed blood.
As if to prove that thought, a BoneClan apprentice catapulted himself at her without hesitation or form. Narrowing her eyes, she batted him aside with some effort, wincing as he landed a stray blow on her leg.
Suddenly realizing the gravity of her situation, Minnowstar decided it wasn’t worth fighting all these cats alone, so she turned and ran away…
Only to find Fallenwing waiting for her.

Fallenwing-

Fallenwing’s eyes flashed in triumph as the RiverClan Leader found her escape blocked off. He swung his paw in a vicious arc at Minnowstar’s head before she could react, sending the grey she-cat reeling into the center of the BoneClan cats.
“We’re not going to let you get away so easily.” He growled, venom dripping from his voice as he prepared to attack again. “You’re important to your Clan: a Clan who needs to be reminded of our power. This is the perfect way to show them.” He unsheathed his claws, waiting for orders from his Leader and Deputy.
This was beginning to be far more interesting than he had anticipated.

• Honeyblaze-
“Now, Flightpaw, don’t be rude!” Honeyblaze mewed, smiling as she noticed Minnowstar at the clearing’s edge. “Don’t you remember your idea? We’ll need her alive if we are to keep her for a bit.” Calmly, she padded over to the scuffling cats, sticking her mangled face close to Minnowstar’s.
“Don’t be afraid, dearie! You’re a leader, after all. Show me your brave face.” Her voice was light and sweet as though she was talking to a kit, but her eye flashed with a cruel challenge.

• Lilyfang-
“Flightpaw!” Lilyfang growled, the light voice she had forced earlier gone. She pushed the apprentice away and glared at him before plastering a smile back on. “Young cats can be aggravating,I apologize.”

• (Hopefully they show up soon! I’m excited to read your comments- you’re really good at writing)

• Flightpaw-
He glared silently at the she-cat. Why was she apologizing to the enemy, he thought.

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang stared at Flightpaw, willing him to understand the plan. She moved closer to the apprentice and pressed her muzzle close to his ear. “Keep your fighting skills for the rest of RiverClan,if we’re to do any damage we can’t attack yet.”

She watched Honeyblaze talk to Minnowstar, amused at how scared the leader was.

• Flightpaw-
He nods slightly at the she-cat, hoping they can attack soon.

• (This is the only important one 😉 )

Fallenwing-

Fallenwing mirrored Wolfstrike, circling behind Minnowstar so she couldn’t escape to RiverClan territory.

Minnowstar-

Minnowstar was scared.
She couldn’t show it, but in that moment, surrounded by merciless BoneClan warriors, Minnowstar felt truly afraid. No one was coming to save her. There were too many cats for her to overcome. Honeyblaze’s appearance alone was enough to frighten most warriors! She knew, deep down, that her situation was hopeless… And yet she swallowed her fear. She forced herself to look the fallen cat in the eye. She promised herself that, even if she could not win, she would fight to her last breath. No one was coming to save her, but that also meant her clan would be safe. In a moment of clarity, Minnowstar took a deep breath:
In.
Out.
Then she made a simple statement.

“I’m ready.”

• Skipflight-
Skipflight’s eyes widened at the sight of the Riverclan leader. What a stroke of luck, to catch her away from her clanmates. Whether Boneclan killed Minnowstar or took her hostage, Riverclan would be destabilized without her.
At least, that was what the logical part of Skipflight was thinking. Most of him was just really hoping they would let her go when they were done with her. He had been prepared for a battle, but the entire battle patrol against one cat was different.
She’s not on your side, he reminded himself, making sure he was helping to fill the barricade of Boneclan cats around Minnowstar.

Dashfoot-
Dashfoot watched from nearby, observing but not participating. Xe’d probably have to make xyr exit soon, if xe didn’t want to watch Boneclan tear the leader to pieces. They had Minnowstar outnumbered, and Dashfoot doubted she’d be easy to take alive.
Part of Dashfoot was tempted to try to help the trapped cat, but xe knew better. It would solve nothing and get xem in trouble.

• Wolfstrike-
What did that mean, “I’m ready?” She examined Minnowstar’s face. She would probably be more valuable alive than dead, but she might try to escape as a prisoner. Spotting Cloudsight at the edge of the clearing, she stepped back, watching the barricade around Minnowstar close up around the spot where she had been. “Is it possible to purposefully keep a cat in a coma- for a pre-determined amount of time?” she whispered to him.

• Lilyfang-
lIlyfang smiled and nodded to Flightpaw, signaling that he could attack. She stared at Minnowstar for a while, enjoying her fear and panic. “RiverClan will be awfully unorganized without you there to help them, love. I’m surprised you made the trip to visit us,couldn’t you have predicted something like this would happen?” she slid her claws out and padded closer to the leader. “Now you get to stay here as your camp is raided, won’t that be fun? After that,we may kill you,or simply hold you captive.”

Lilyfang slashed her claws across Minnowstar’s muzzle before trotting away. “Wolfstrike, may I lead the battle patrol into RiverClan? It’s time we put them in their place.”

• Lillypaw-
She glanced towards her mentor, scared at the way this conversation was going.

• Cloudsight-
“Well….” Cloudsight said, momentarily taken aback by the question. It was not something they got asked often as a medicine cat. “I’m a medicine cat, not magic. We could give her poppy seeds or a sliver of death berries, but the former wouldn’t be very effective and the later is likely to kill her, and neither will be precise.”
Cloudsight groomed their paw for a moment, before continuing, “Besides, I don’t want to waste my supplies. Just break one of her legs.”

Skipflight-
Skipflight caught his apprentice’s nervous glance, and gave her what he hoped was a comforting smile. “Don’t worry, it probably won’t even be much of a fight,” he muttered to her, “Just a quick show of claws so the fish eaters know they’re outmatched, and if they’re smart, they’ll surrender.”

• Wolfstrike-
“Okay, that’ll work,” Wolfstrike leapt at Minnowstar, pinning her down. “Yes, please do, Lilyfang, and… well, unless someone has a better idea, I’m going to break one of your legs now, Minnowstar.”

• Minnowstar-

Minnowstar glared up at Wolfstrike, malice permeating her usually soft blue eyes. She tried desperately to slip away from the BoneClan deputy, though she knew escape was useless with the warriors surrounding her. Unable to get away, her mind raced to find a better solution than the one in consideration, but between the stress of the situation and the searing pain from the cut on her face, nothing came.
“Is this what you want? Corruption and power!?” She hissed in a final act of defiance, “The Clans won’t stand for it; if you harm me, they will see that no one is safe. They will band together, and they will fight back!”
Her final warning spoken, Minnowstar prepared for the devastating blow that was sure to come, shutting her eyes against the cruel gaze of the cats surrounding her.

• Lillypaw-
She stared with wide eyes in horror at the scene in front of her. Purposely maiming a cat, possibly forever? That was wrong. She pressed closer to her mentor.

Flightpaw-
He looked at what was happening in front of him with excitement. Soon the battle would begin, this was just means to an end.

• Honeyblaze-
She barked a laugh, flicking her tail dismissively.
“Darling, when the Clans see our true power, they’ll flee with their tails tucked between their legs. Once they see that a leader was so weak that she let herself fall into captivity, they’ll tremble.” She smirked, padding around the she-cat and placing her paws on her side, pressing down. “Brace yourself, honey. This is gonna be quite the shock, I imagine,” she purred, nodding to Wolfstrike with a sick grin.

• Wolfstrike-
She exhaled slowly. “Besides, they already know that no one is safe, and BoneClan hasn’t been destroyed yet,” she said softly, shifting Minnowstar’s leg over a rock. With a deep breath, she slammed her paws down.

• (Maybe they could just dislocate one of her legs 😉 It’d be a lot more doable than breaking one, but would have a similar effect and wouldn’t be permanent, but that’s just me talking 😛 )

• (Okay! That makes sense. It’s up to you.
If I’m going too far… with Wolfstrike especially… please tell me, I’ll stop, I promise…)

• (It’s alright! One of my characters in another rp actually did something very similar to what Wolfstrike is doing, so It doesn’t bother me. In a way, this could kinda be considered karma 😛 )

• I just wanted to let you know that I made characters a little while back and they haven’t been accepted yet :>

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang laughed, her claws sliding out again. “Love,we’re more powerful than the other clans, even if they unite. BoneClan will drive the others out,and will rule the forest. Now,it’s going to hurt, but you’re a leader,be strong.” she spat the last sentence, walking away from Minnowstar.

“Everyone who is going on the battle patrol to RiverClan, come with me! Our friend Minnowstar is staying here.” Lilyfang called, looking around the clearing expectantly.”

• (That’s true, probably a better idea 😛 she’s your character, so you should get to decide how badly she’s hurt)

Dashfoot-
With a hiss of disgust, Dashfoot turned away, xyr ghostly pelt melting away into the shadows. Xe wasn’t overly fond of any of the living cats, but xe still didn’t want to watch. Maybe I’ll go bother some other clan, xe thought.

Skipflight-
Skipflight flinched as Wolfstrike brought her paws down. At least we haven’t killed her, he reminded himself, sucking in a deep breath. He’d seen cat get hurt plenty of times, but usually in a fight, not like this.
He glanced down at Lilypaw, worried about his apprentice. Skipflight couldn’t blame her for looking horrified, the whole thing wasn’t sitting well with him either.
“Are you still feeling up to the battle?” he asked his apprentice, with a nervous glance at Lilyfang. “Somebody has to stay and watch Minnowstar anyway, so there’s no harm in not going.”

Cloudsight-
Cloudsight twitched an ear at the popping noise, about to suggest that they do the honors. Too late, they thought, tail lashing in annoyance. As a medicine cat, Cloudsight would have done a better job. “That sounded like you might have dislocated it, not broke it,” they muttered, wishing their eyes worked so that they could tell for sure. “But that’ll have to do.”

• Wolfstrike-
“Oh, okay,” she said, stepping back. “If it does the same thing, then we’re good.” A tiny part of her felt a little relieved that she hadn’t done permanent damage to the RiverClan leader and guilty that she had tried, which she quickly squashed. Wolfstrike, are you a mouse or a BoneClan cat? She glanced at Lilypaw and Skipflight. “I’d like two cats to guard camp,” she called to Lilyfang.

• Lilypaw-
She looked at her mentor, “I’d still like to go, it’ll be good experience.” She said, steeling herself.

• (Cool! I also quite like evil Jayfeather 😛 Cloudsight is fun)

Minnowstar-

Minnowstar squirmed uncomfortably beneath Honeyblaze’s weight as the BoneClan deputy maneuvered her leg over a rock. She felt claws resting on her side, limiting her movement.
She waited, but nothing came.
Her heart pounded in her ears, blocking out the scathing words her captors as they prepared to attack her defenseless Clan
She waited; nothing came.
Her breathing quickened, became shallow and she began to tremble. Wolfstrike whispered something to her, but she couldn’t make it out.
Still, nothing came.
With each moment, she imagined paws slamming down, snapping bone, blood.
Each moment passed, and nothing came.
Fear built up like a river trapped in a basin of rock and bone until, overcome with dread, she hesitantly opened her eyes.
She saw Wolfstrike rearing up, about to deal the crippling blow.
Time slowed. Her heart stopped. For a moment she remained still; then a single thought cut through the silence.
No!
In a moment of panic, Minnowstar jolted upwards, desperately trying to throw Honeyblaze off and avoid the impact…
But it wasn’t enough.
Wolfstrike’s paws slammed into her leg, pressing it violently into the rock below, and a loud clicking sound as the impact dislocated her shoulder. Minnowstar shrieked in agony; her broken cry echoing throughout the forest. Waves of pain pulsed through her; as if her shoulder had been severed from her body. She glimpsed her leg through watery eyes, seeing in horror that it had been twisted into an unnatural position.
Minnowstar closed her eyes again, battling the urge to scream. Her Clan was about to be attacked by the most feared, heartless, and evil cats by the lake; and there was nothing she could do but whimper in pain and watch.
She could only hope WindClan had received her message. Without them, RiverClan would almost certainly fall…

• Flightpaw-
He flinched at the clicking sound, jerking his eyes closed. He glanced from Wolfstrike to Minnowstar and then looked at his mentor. Fighting back a wave of repulsion he asked a quick question, “Are we ready to go now? Every moment we wait is more time for RiverClan to attack.”

• Fallenwing-

Fallenwing nodded to his apprentice, motioning for him to follow Lilyfang. “The first star has been up for some time; we must hurry if we are to succeed tonight.” As he walked after the ghostly cat he cast an apathetic glance at the RiverClan leader, wondering who would be staying behind to guard her.

• Honeyblaze-
She hissed as she was jolted backward, her tail lashing furiously. Then-
Crack!
Honeyblaze froze at the sound of the RiverClan she-cat’s agonized yowl. It was familiar- too familiar. Her mind swirled with memories of the Shattering.

~~~
“You’ll never be anything more than a coward, Lizardpaw!” She leaped at the small tom, a furious snarl plastered across her face. He let out a hiss as her claws sliced into his shoulder.
“And you’ll never be anything more than a hideous liar and a terrible mother!” Tears streamed down the young cat’s face, but Honeyblaze didn’t care- all she cared about was teaching this foul little traitor some discipline. She whirled around, racing into the ThunderClan nursery and snatching up a kit in her jaws. One of Frogstar’s- perfect. She skidded back into the clearing, turning her icy gaze to Lizardpaw. His eyes were filled with abject horror, and she smiled.
“Learn your place. This is what happens to weak links,” she spat, pressing one claw against the tiny, wailing kit’s throat. Lizardpaw bristled, his muzzle twisting with fury.
“You don’t touch him!” Her eyes widened as he lunged at her, claws unsheathed. He sent the kit skidding away, and then…
Darkness.
Horrible, burning darkness- she let out a wail of agony, clutching her face with one paw as she collapsed.
“YOU DISGUSTING LITTLE CREATURE!” She flailed blindly, feeling clumps of her son’s fur come away in her claws. She saw only a blur of brown and white, then a sudden flash of silver- she struck, and a sickening crack split the air.
“Drizzlepaw! No!” Lizardpaw’s scream faded, and so did Honeyblaze’s vision- the world turned to black as the pain in her newly missing eye overtook her.
~~~

“Drizzlepaw,” she whispered thoughtfully, staring down at Minnowstar with a look of interest. Drizzlepaw- the little RiverClan apprentice that had fallen in love with her son. And she had killed her in her final moments. “I did it. I taught him. I took away what he loved.” She grinned, a new spark of madness glittering in her eye. “I’ll tear your Clan to shreds! It’s what you deserve, it’s what you all deserve,” she snarled, her voice guttural and savage. She turned to follow Lilyfang, a new and powerful motivation behind her.

• (Hey Mink 😀 Goldie made some characters a while ago that haven’t been approved; here’s a link, just in case you missed them 😉 https://blogclan.katecary.co.uk/an-age-of-blood-and-bone/#comment-1009098 )

Minnowstar-

Minnowstar glared after Honeyblaze, her expression mixed with pain, fear and anger. She had known Drizzlepaw back when she was still RiverClan deputy; back when she was still called Minnowrush. Drizzlepaw’s death had been devastating. Undeserved. Irredeemable. In some twisted way, Minnowstar was glad Honeyblaze hadn’t changed. She had done nothing to put her past behind her- nothing except for killing it. With a monster as irredeemable as that, Drizzlepaw could still be avenged.

• (Yes, I like them too 😛 originally, they were just going to be an evil medicine cat, but then somehow while I was writing their backstory they turned into an evil jayfeather)

Cloudsight-
“As much as I’d like to claw some mousebrains, my areas of specialty probably reside more with babysitting,” Cloudsight drawled, scowling in the direction Minnowstar’s shriek had came from.
They slipped through the blockade of cats, resting a paw against the leader’s injured leg. Dislocated, like I thought.
“I may be blind,” they muttered under their breath, to the leader, “But I can still fight better than you without your leg. If your smart, which is doubtful, you’ll behave yourself. Don’t force me to do something I won’t regret.”

Skipflight-
“Alright, that’s the spirit!” Skipflight mewed to Lilypaw, his grin slipping back into place as the excitement of the approaching battle drove out his discomfort. “I’m all ready to go, if everyone else is!” he added, glancing back at Cloudsight. Are we just going to leave the blind medicine cat as a gaurd? he wondered, although he suspected they’d be more likely to find Minnowstar dead when they returned than escaped.

• Wolfstrike-
“I’ll guard camp,” she said, hauling Minnowstar up by the scruff. “Between Cloudsight- are you staying at camp, or going?- and Ashstar – are you going?- and I, we should be able to keep a handle on things.”

• Lilypaw-
She nodded and glanced at Skipflight, waiting for his orders.

Flightpaw-
He padded off with Fallenwing, glancing up at the first star. This is it he thought.

• Cloudsight-
“I’m staying,” Cloudsight spat, face twisting into a scowl. They would have given anything to head into battle with their clanmates, but thanks to their eyes, that wouldn’t ever be happening again.

• Minnowstar-

Minnowstar grunted in pain as Wolfstrike lifted her to her paws, her dislocated leg swaying limply below her.
Great. She thought, Trapped in BoneClan’s camp with the cat who suggested breaking my leg and the cat who almost did. How… Droll.

• Wolfstrike-
“Good luck,” she mumbled to the BoneClan patrol around the fur in her mouth. She was about to say RiverClan doesn’t stand a chance, but checked herself, wondering if saying that in front of the RiverClan leader was bad form, or otherwise unlucky in some way.

• Lilyfang-
Lilyfang blinked as she heard Minnowstar’s leg pop. It was an odd noise, and a bit sickening. But she ignored that thought, instead starting to lead the gathered cats out of the clearing, nodding to Wolfstrike and Ashstar before.

(May I switch to the RiverClan page?)

• (To riverclan then?)

Cloudsight-
Cloudsight padded after Wolfstrike and Minnowstar, smirking as they followed the sound of their footsteps. As bitter as they were to be stuck in camp, they knew Riverclan didn’t stand a chance without their leader.
“Hopefully they bring back a few of your clanmates alive to keep you company,” Cloudsight said, “We wouldn’t want you getting lonely.”

• Minnowstar-

“Will you break their legs too?” Minnowstar growled hoarsely. She glared at Wolfstrike as she spoke; though it was difficult to turn her head with the deputy’s teeth in her scruff.

• Wolfstrike-
“No promises,” Wolfstrike said, looking down at her paws. “But probably not. You’re the important one.”

• Wolfstrike-
She winced. Cloudsight had had a lot of promise when he was a warrior cat apprentice… if not for that badger, he might have become of the best warriors in BoneClan.

•
LILLYPETAL IS ACTUALLY COMET! SHE CAN BE A ROGUE SO SHE CAN ENTER OTHER CLANS 😛
Comet-
The silver tortoiseshell wondered into the den. “Ashstar!” she exclaimed, “If Ivykit’s mother agrees I might have to take her into my care”
