Ships I don’t think were necessary by Jackdawpaw

Hello, this is Jacks here with, guess what, another article! (I’m sorry I must be taking over the schedule :’3) Anyways I’m coming here to discuss some canon ships that I don’t really think were necessary for the plot. And I’m starting with an obvious one:

Thunder x Violet

I haven’t read Moth Flight’s Vision, or Riverstar’s Home, but from what I saw in Dawn of the Clans, I think the ship was just way too rushed and didn’t really change anything in the story. Sure, it was good Thunderstar got a mate, but they could have made that story more interesting. He just saw her ONCE, through a freakin’ BUSH, and bam, iN lOvE! I also found it a bit weird when he was just like “Will you be my mate in the future?” Idk if I was Violet Dawn that would totally be a red flag. Very uncomfortable.

Needle x Rain

There are so many non-canon Needletail ships, but really, does ANYONE actually support Needle x Rain? I feel like it was just an unnecessary part of the story. Alder x Needle is better, tho I’d never want it to be canon. Needle x Violet is kinda good but I like Violet x Tree too much. Needle x Dark… okay now I’m just discussing Needletail ships. (This is my second article this week so I’ll have to send it next week but I soo have to write a Needletail article 😛)

Ivy x Fern

Okay, guys, don’t get me wrong now, I like that Ivypool got a mate and kits, but I’m just like, why Fernsong? He feels like such an unimportant character, plus Ivypool had been a warrior for a pretty long while before he was even born. Couldn’t they pair up Ivypool with some character she already knew from OoTS? And I’m not talking Hawkfrost or Snowtuft or some other disgusting Dark Forest guy (poor Ivypool getting shipped with evil old dudes). I mean, some cat who at least shared her childhood, like *googles OoTS allegiances* Foxleap or Toadstep or something! I know these were bad examples but I’m just a bit sad they paired Ivypool up with a character I barely know or have any feelings about.

Alder x Velvet

Okay guys, I know this isn’t really canon, but I just think Alderheart’s crush was unnecessary. I think I really liked his crush on Needletail and Velvet wasn’t really the same kind of vibes. I like when a silly guy hopelessly falls in love with a stubborn girl, while a silly guy hopelessly falling in love with a bootiful pretty girl just isn’t that interesting.

I honestly can’t think of any more right now and my mom is angry at me for having too much screentime so that’s it lol. Jackdawpaw out!
