Sliverthorn argues why Ashfur would’ve been better for Squirrelflight than Brambleclaw.

This is the Legend of Darkness RP page!
I hereby declare this RP page…
OPEN!
Okay, this hasn’t started yet but here’s the scenario for the start.
Scenario
The beast will find you soon. You aren’t safe in the mountains. You must run. Who knows where.
Just somewhere.
You need to keep moving. For Stoneteller and everyone else’s sakes.
Hold on. You’re glowing?! What’s happening?
“Be careful,” a voice booms. “I am Foliis, and I will guide you on your journey. I have granted you each powers, ones that will aid you in your quest. You will know what powers you have been gifted when the time is right.”
(Glimmering Stream)
“W-what?” Glimmering Stream murmured. “Powers? Who are you?” Glimmering Stream wanted to run, get as far away from this place as possible, but her paws stayed rooted to the ground. “Who are you?” She repeated.
Dusk Shard froze in fear, her dreams of nightmares all repeating in her mind.
She opened her mouth and tried to speak, but nothing came out. She dug her claws into the ground, thinking, what powers?
Oop when I wrote how she opened her mouth but couldn’t speak, that wasn’t there yet. Oops)
Ivy Rain’s eyes darted around her. Her fur was standing. She opened her mouth, but couldn’t speak.
~Clock Work~ (might make Blood Moon cuz why not)
Clock sat still, xe couldn’t move and couldn’t speak. Xe sat patiently and stared at the cat as it spoke, soon as it finished speaking xer eyes blinked open. Interesting xe thought as xe got to xer paws.
(you can only have on character sorry)
(Wild Berry)
Wild Berry stopped running. “What are you?” she asked aloud.
no answer.
“What are you?” She asked again.
Scenario
Foliis’s voice sounds again, strong and loud. “You will earn the powers once you have proven your worth. Find the answer to my riddle, as maybe I will tell you more.
“What sleeps at night, yet kills in the day. What did fire hurt, but it hurt fire more?”
(Answer the riddle to learn about your powers. It is a warrior cat.)
(Are we supposed to answer this inside or outside of the Roleplay? Ima guess inside?)
(Glimmering Stream)
Glimmering Stream had no idea what the cat meant. A riddle? She thought hard, but nothing really came to mind. “Is it Tigerstar? (The first) or Scourge?” Glimmering Stream was stumped. Why were they here doing riddles when they need to be running?
Silver Sun’s tail flicked back and forth, her mind going through the warriors that she had watched throughout her afterlife. 𝘈𝘴𝘩𝘧𝘶𝘳? 𝘋𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘭? She unconsciously unsheathed her claws. 𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘦….𝘮𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘦star…Silver Sun looked at her companions, her eyes flashing. “Do you have any ideas?” she prompted.
(Glimmering Stream)
“I-I’m not sure. I’ve never really done riddles before…” Glimmering Stream meowed. She shifted her paws. She felt absolutely useless.
“Uhh… I agree. Tigerstar?” Ivy Rain mewed, kneading the ground with her paws.
Dusk Shard glanced at her paws, thinking hard, But all she could think about was…well, nothing.
“ Could it be Ashfur? I can’t think of anyone else who hurt Fire and was hurt by Fire, as Squirrelflight hurt him, she’s Firestar’s daughter, and he hurt her…” She trailed awkwardly, not really knowing what to do with the situation.
~Clock Work~
Clock laid, xer paws tucked under xer. “It must have something to do with Firestar, name all of his enemies and we’ll eliminate from there.”
(Glimmering Stream)
“You’re right, it must…I already guessed it might be Tigerstar (the first), but that could be wrong, especially with the dark forest all training and attacking at night, so Tigerstar would also be killing at night instead of sleeping…” Glimmering Stream sighed. “I don’t know who else it could be…”
~Shadowed Rise~
“It could mean Sandstorm,” Shadowed Rise suggested. “Or it could literally mean fire.”
(Listen to Shadowed Rise people she just gave you two huge hints)
(Glimmering Stream)
“Yes….but Sandstorm doesn’t kill so it must be someone else…but that’s probably the right direction. I don’t remember any cats who could hurt fire, but that is a good possibility. Many cats have been hurt by fire, like Yellowfang, Halftail, Patchpelt, Moon Shadow, Gray Wing…but none of them kill.”
(I haven’t gotten that far in the books-) ~Clock Work~
“Yes, this is true…” Clock looked into the night sky, “Who has killed, and has been hurt by fire…” xe muttered half to xerself, Could it be kin of Sandstorm…? xe thought.
Silver Sun stood up, raising her voice to be heard. “I think Ashfur is related to Sandstorm….and he did kill Firestar….or at least took one of his lives.” She frowned in concentration, remembering the fire scene that Ashfur was involved in.
(Glimmering Stream)
“Yes…and there has been a prophecy that referred to Squirrelflight as fire!” Glimmering Stream meowed excitedly, remembering the fire and tiger prophecy. “So Fire would have hurt him!”
Dusk Shard smiled at Glimmering Stream, glad that at least someone agreed with her.
(Glimmering Stream)
Glimmering Stream saw Dusk Shard smile at her, and she lifted her head and smiled back. “Should we answer Ashfur?” Glimmering Stream asked her companions. I hope, even if this isn’t the right answer, we get it right soon. Glimmering Stream thought. She hoped that her companions couldn’t tell how her heart was racing. Glimmering Stream couldn’t shake the feeling that she was wrong, and she knew that she would feel the same way no matter what she said
“Ashfur is our best option” Clock Work said as she flexed her claws, she had never really payed attention after Tigerstar and Scourge died.
(Wild Berry)
“Y-your riddle?” she stammered. “Maybe…um… Ashfur?”
no answer.
~Shadowed Rise~
“So, do we know the answer?” Shadowed Rise glanced at the others.
(Glimmering Stream)
Glimmering Stream shifted her paws. “So far I think Ashfur is probably the answer, do you think that’s right?” She hoped it was, though there was still nagging doubt within her that she had felt since the start. She wanted to be running, far far away from here.
~Shadowed Rise~
Shadowed Rise shrugged. “I don’t know.”
(You won’t get any more out of Shadowed Rise)
“So, do we all agree that it’s Ashfur? Or does anyone think it’s someone else…?” Dusk Shard said nervously to all the cats.
Are we doing this right?
(Glimmering Stream)
“I agree that so far everything is pointing to Ashfur.” Glimmering Stream agreed. “And I definitely don’t have any other ideas.”
“I agree, too.” Silver Sun replied. Although she felt elated about coming up with an answer quickly, she didn’t know yet if it is the right one.
“I also agree,” Wild Berry meowed
Scenario
“So you all agree that it is Ashfur?” Foliis’s voice booms. Everyone nods. “Well, I can tell you that is officially…”
“Wrong. Try again.”
~Shadowed Rise~
“Maybe it’s someone like Sandstorm. They didn’t like Firestar at first,” Shadowed Rise says POINTEDLY.
(Glimmering Stream)
“Well, the cats who come to mind that didn’t like Firestar at first are Dustpelt, Tigerstar (the first), Longtail, and Darkstripe. And maybe to an extent Bramblestar?” Glimmering Stream meowed. “Though Tigerstar and Darkstripe never came to trusting him, so I wouldn’t say that’s ‘at first’.” Glimmering Stream hoped she wasn’t missing anyone in her list, but she felt she probably was.
“Firestar didn’t hurt Sandstorm,” Ivy Rain mewed. Her tail waved with slight annoyance.
“But Shadowed Rise said it was someone like Sandstorm, not actually Sandstorm.” Glimmering Stream meowed. “Someone who didn’t trust Firestar at first…” she trailed off. She had no idea who it could be.
Scenario
“I’ll give you a hint. She isn’t always, um, kind.”
Suddenly, an idea dashed into Glimmering Stream’s head, but soon she realized it couldn’t be right. Yellowfang seems to fit everything, but she doesn’t kill…until she remembered. Brokentail! Yellowfang killed Brokentail! At first she didn’t trust Firestar, she wasn’t the kindest cat, though she could be, and Fire was what ultimately killed her, which greatly hurt Firestar. “Do you think it might be Yellowfang?” Glimmering Stream asked her companions. Everything seemed to line up. Though everything seemed to line up for Ashfur too. The thought echoed in her mind. She let it linger a bit, then pushed it away. There couldn’t be that much harm in suggesting, could there? It takes up time, time that should be spent running. The voice was back. Well, it might save us some time if it’s right! She thought back.
Dusk Shard looked at Glittering Stream in surprise.
Did she saw…Yellowfang?
The dark ginger she cat thought for a moment, and everything lined up.
“That’s ingenious!” She said out loud.
Calming down, she mewed,”Yes…I think it’s Yellowfang now.”
But what if we’re wrong again? A voice inside her whispered, but she pushed it away, not getting rid of that terrible, terrified feeling.
Glimmering Stream shifted her paws, embarrassed by the she-cat’s praise. “T-thank you” she meowed. She looked to her other companions. “What do you think?” She asked.
“It may be right,” Wild Berry meowed, deep in thought. “But the riddle is hurt by fire, but hurt fire more, so…” Her voice trailed off in thought.
“Yellowfang was hurt by fire when she died, and this caused Firestar great pain, so that part of the riddle fits with her…I think…” Glimmering Stream meowed. She hoped that she wasn’t completely wrong. They couldn’t afford to be wrong. The creature could be following them at any moment, and every moment they wasted could be their last.
“What time of day did Yellowfang kill Brokenstar, though?”
Wild Berry asked.
Glimmering Stream shifted her paws. “I-I ummmm…I don’t remember…” she mumbled, feeling useless. She should have known something that important before presenting Yellowfang as a possibility!
Neither do I… ” Wild Berry meowed, thinking hard.
“I think it was around sundown, because Fireheart, was…was… gaah! What was Fireheart doing? But I think it was close enough to day to count…”
Wild Berry thought hard, wishing she could remember correctly. She repeated the riddle in her head, searching for hidden meanings.
“That is two hints. Now we also know it’s a she-cat,” Wild Berry muttered.
She groaned in aggravation. “Yellowfang is a good candidate, but he could mean some cat related to Sandstorm. I might say Spottedleaf, but she never killed.. .”
Wild Berry lists her thoughts out, trying to take out the ones that are wrong.
~Shadowed Rise~
Shadowed Rise stepped forward. “I think Yellowfang is our best bet.”
“Ok, should we ask Foliis if it’s Yellowfang?” Glimmering Stream asked the others.
~Shadowed Rise~
Shadowed Rise nodded.
“Ok, Foliis, is it Yellowfang?” Glimmering Stream asked. Hope was building up inside of her, and she awaited an answer from Foliis.
Scenario
“Your answer is… Yellowfang?” Foliis asks, surprised. “Well, that’s absolutely correct! Congratulations!”

Silver Sun immediately felt a change in her as soon as Follis declared the answer correct. Glancing around at the other cats, she mewed, “Does anyone else feel different, somehow?”
“I do..” Ivy Rain mewed.
“I do too…” Glimmering Stream meowed. She was so happy with the fact that they came up with the answer she never really stopped to realize she felt different. “What do we do now?” Glimmering Stream asked
Silver Sun glanced uneasily behind them. “I suggest we keep moving, before that beast arrives.”
Glimmering Stream nodded. “I agree.” She meowed. Her heart was already racing, her adrenaline pumping, ready to run.
