This is now the Prey Den!
nevermind! This is now the Library, a large room filled with books on obsidian shelfs, a checkout center in the middle.
(Calamine is sitting behind the checkout center, a book in her talons. She’s waiting for the first student to come in, now that the library is organized.)
Mollusk silently entered the library looking at the many books in shiny black shelfs. because his father, Wharf, had always dragged him around seawing training camps and taken him on border patrols, the seawing never really had a chance to do much other than glance at Libraries. Now that he was in one, he wondered what scrolls he should read first. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a scroll sticking out. He walked over to it to read the title:
The Tragedy of Orca
Prince Mollusk had once heard of Orca, an older sister of his grandmother, Former Queen Auklet. Apparently, the deceased princess was an animus, but Mollusk did not know much about her beside that. So, the seawing picked up the scroll and approached the checkout center, noticing a silkwing librarian with his grey-blue eyes.
“Hello,” Calamine said warmly. “How can I help you?”
Princess Estelle walked up to him.
“I heard you’re a prince,” she said, “You ever wish you could be a King? Fight for the throne? That’s what I’m going to do.”
She paused, realizing she never introduced herself, “I’m Princess Estelle, of the IceWings.”
¨Oh…Prince Mollusk of the Seawings. I do sort of wish I could be a King at one point, but I can hardly imagine fighting my aunt. Besides,¨ The seawing slowly put down the scroll unto the desk,¨Kings never really seemed to have real power over the kingdom, from what I´ve heard.¨
“Sad, really,” She said, “For someone with webbed talons. Male SeaWings are stronger, just like female IceWings are better suited for the throne.”
Estelle hoped to have an ally here..
“Obviously we are perfect for the thrones.”
¨Thank you, Estelle, I agree. I would enjoy staying here to chat with you, but I have a feeling Cheetah is about to make her speech. ¨
“I’ll come with,” Estelle said.
Lily walked up to the librarian.
“Uhh, do you have any scrolls on the Tree Wars.. and maybe, um Sundew?” She wanted to know why exactly her great grandmother was so awesome… and what she did. Maybe she could be like her.
“Sundew? Of course!” Calamine smiled. “I’d be a terrible librarian if I didn’t. She’s the most famous LeafWing, well, ever.” She dropped her voice. “She’s always had a special place in my heart, you know. She saved my whole tribe.”
She pointed down a row. “That shelf over there is for historical figures. Should be in the S section.”
“Thanks,” she said. “You know, Sundew was my great-grandmother.” Lily said as she was walking towards the shelf.
She found one scroll that said, Sundew – Saves Society.
“Perfect,” she muttered to herself.
She opened the scroll, and started reading.
“Sundew was the essential dragon we needed to destroy the HiveWings” Sundew’s mother had said. Sundew’s leafspeak was so strong, she could grow trees in an instant.
Sundew was one of the most important to save Pantala, along with Luna, Blue, Swordtail, Moon, Cricket, and the forgotten Freedom whom once went by Lizard.
Sundew had trained for years to be the one to destroy the HiveWings. When she was ready, she snuck into Wasp’s greenhouse and forced Cricket and Blue to steal the Book of Clearsight.
Lily stopped reading.
“I’ve got to get to the great hall,” she said to herself, rolling up the scroll and putting it on the shelf to read later. She hurried out.
“Bye!” Calamine said.
