  • “Sure Moon, but should we do something about them?” I said nodding to the spirit guides. “Or… we could just leave them. I don’t think they can do anything they ARE spirit ghost things . Don’t they move through things?” I added only to be interrupted by Dovewing moving between the two toms,” Hey! I have kin with both of you, and you wouldn’t want to upset anyone before the big trip and have enemies during, now would you?” She didn’t wait for their response.” As much as I would love to see your butt kicked back to the darkforest by Firestar again ” then muttered under her breath,” Although Firestar would definitely win again,” Then raising her voice again,” We are not going to get these young cats dragged into a bad friendship because of something that happened MANY seasons ago! Do you understand? ” Dovewing said raising her voice then finally done she waited for a response. I stepped up to her and said,” I think they get it. Now can we please go to the forest? I need something other than stone and tall grass under my paws and moss sounds perfect. ok?” Turing to moon she said race you there!” I said taking off for the forest then calling back,” If you can beat me I will let you have first pick of the prey we catch!”

  • Silverbreeze decided she was tired, so she scraped up some moss, and settled down by the roots of a large tree

    • Crystal came up from behind her, with her jaws full as well. Pride swelled inside her as she laid the fish on the make-shift fresh-kill pile. 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘩𝘶𝘯𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘺𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘯𝘰𝘸! she thought happily. She grabbed one of the fishes, which was a chub, and padded over to where Leafpool was sitting, who acknowledged her with a single nod. “Do spirit guides need to eat?” asked Crystal. Leafpool shrugged. “No. We can eat prey, we just don’t need it.” Crystal sank her teeth into her fish and it was meaty, with the taste of fresh-water. She swallowed it and turned back to Leafpool. “This tastes amazing! Is forest prey better than this?” Leafpool licked her paw. “Yes. You don’t know how good a plump mouse tastes like until you try it.” Crystal took another bite of the fish, and as she chewed, she noticed that Leafpool was awkwardly glancing at Crowfeather. Crystal realized that this must be strange for them. A lot has happened between the two.

      [If anyone wants to talk with crystal, you can now!]

      • Stormsong settles down to eat a rabbit she caught (she briefly instructed Crystal, too, but Crystal learned how to fish for a lot longer a time during the hunting trip).

        Crowfeather is gazing at Leafpool with a mixture of seemingly distant, nearly-forgotten, perhaps suddenly-becoming-sharp-again longing and, mostly, awkwardness. Stormsong stops eating and looks up from her bite, her paw draped lazily over the fuzzy brown prey. She notices him looking at Leafpool, but, as soon as he realizes that both cats see him doing it, Crowfeather turns away from Leafpool, and sits down next to Stormsong. However, his ears are still slightly angled towards Leafpool, as though he wants to listen to her but not really spy on her. “Nice catch,” he huffs to Stormsong. Were things never settled in this StarClan I’ve heard so much about? Stormsong wonders.

        “Thanks,” Stormsong eventually manages in acknowledgement, although she keeps glancing towards Leafpool, curiosity sparking throughout her. I know so little about these cats’ mysterious past. I wish I knew more… Then again, I suppose I am slowly learning more and more.

        Stormsong stands up and pads over to sit beside Crystal. She looks at Crowfeather, basically, by a look, trying to tell him “I’m sorry for making it more awkward, but I need to find out more about these cats, anyways.” Perhaps Stormsong also wants to see how Crowfeather will react if she goes near Leafpool, however this isn’t the main reason for doing it, because Stormsong doesn’t want to be bad to Crowfeather when he hasn’t been too bad to her besides keeping some things secret, and perhaps he has good reason to. He just snorts in response to her apologetic glance, and still won’t make eye contact with her. He stays back a bit and looks uncomfortable, but at least he isn’t standing at the back of the clearing like he did when Stormsong approached Jayfeather.

        “Hello,” Stormsong mews. “You did amazing during your hunt. You’re a natural. Especially at fishing. And Whisper instructed you well.” She nods towards Whisper, and Whisper seems to acknowledge it in some way.

        • “Thanks,” Crystal meowed back. “I can’t wait to learn how to hunt mice! Leafpool tells me it tastes amazing.” She finished her fish and started grooming her chest. Meanwhile, Leafpool edged slightly closer to Crowfeather, trying to make the whole situation less awkward.

          • “Mice are pretty amazing,” Stormsong admits with amusement.

            Eventually, Crowfeather gives in, and gives Leafpool a respectful nod. “Hello, Leafpool,” he meows evenly, probably trying to hide the awkwardness of the situation. It must be easier to ignore, or simply acknowledge, each other when it’s not only them and a few other cats around. They obviously haven’t conversed too often, at least recently. The most they’ve probably done is this, the hellos.

            Leafpool seems slightly surprised, perhaps.

            Crowfeather rolls his eyes at that, quite good-naturedly, still seeming awkward, and snaps, “What, you thought I wouldn’t talk to you at some point after death for more than two heartbeats?” [Spoilers for “Crowfeather’s Trial” ahead.] Crowfeather softens a little more, but still doesn’t seem too open to Leafpool yet. “Even after you helped save Breezepelt when he could have died?” Crowfeather looks at Leafpool with much respect. [Spoiler warning over.] Then Crowfeather ducks his head with a sigh only Stormsong can make out. He must be thinking of good old days with Leafpool, Stormsong thinks with empathy towards her spirit guide.

            • Crystal blinked in surprise as Leafpool put her tail on Crowfeather’s shoulder in sympathy. “I know how awkward it feels,” she murmured, glancing at him with a trace of what looked like affection in her gaze. “A lot has happened between us. It’s only natural that we are still feeling awkward toward each other, and just because I’m not talking doesn’t mean that I’m ignoring you, you stupid furball.” Although Leafpool’s last words were harsh, she meant no harm to Crowfeather. After a few heartbeats, Leafpool withdrew her tail from Crowfeather’s shoulder and stood up. “Where are you going?” Crystal asked. “I’m going to gather herbs for the journey. We need to keep our strength up, and not just with prey. Besides, we might have an emergency on the way and we need to be prepared.” She turned to Crowfeather. “Would you like to come with me? I would like some company, and I’m pretty sure that these young cats wouldn’t want us hanging around all the time.” Crystal rolled her eyes at the last statement but kept her mouth shut as she awaited Crowfeather’s response.

              • When Leafpool said “…you stupid furball”, Crowfeather was obviously trying hard not to simultaneously wince sheepishly and purr strongly.

                Now, Crowfeather meows, “I would love that–I mean, that would–It would be a pleasure.” He knows, now that they’re dead, there’s even less reason that they can’t do a duty together. He gazes at her affectionately.

                Crowfeather and Leafpool set off. Stormsong suspects that, by the time they get back, they’ll seem more at ease as a whole, and be less awkward around one another.

                • Now Stormsong looks at Crystal. “Well, that was the epitome of awkwardness and uncertainty,” she laughs. “At least they’re getting those herbs together, to try to restore their friendship better, or to at least not be like that again.” She makes an amused mew. “Eh?”

                • [I’m sorry, I tried really hard to make it so that Crowfeather didn’t seem too overly affectionate. It still seems like he is. How about he only gazes at her affectionately for a moment. Although I didn’t write it very well, I was thinking that, after he stammers to change what he is going to say, he becomes more stoic again, but his softer complexion betrays that he is satisfied.]

                • Crystal laughed. “Yeah. I was trying SO hard not to wince. But at the same time, it so sweet to see them talking together.” She smirked. “And Crowfeather’s face when he agreed-wow- I didn’t think he would look so happy. Has he ever been that happy to you before?”

                • Stormsong’s heart lurches. She hasn’t thought too hard about this. “…No.” I wonder how unhappy or simply not content he usually is… Stormsong wishes she has, or will gain, the ability to make her spirit guide happier, but at least he is talking to Leafpool again, and that is obviously helping him.

  • (Last comment I wrote silverbreeze, totally meant echo! Agh) That next morning, Echo was woken up waaay to early by her spirit guide, Bluestar. “Why’d ya wake me up so early?” She grumbled. “We need to get started on the journey on time.” Bluestar mewed unsympathetically. Echo yawned, then got up out of her nest

  • Whisper padded over to Papillion, and dropped a fish at her feet. “Here’s some prey,” Whisper nodded, then started to walk away, abruptly stopped and looked back. “I feel like we should get going soon.” Papillion nodded, and Whisper wondered if she had found another friend.

    • “Seriously, Firestar?” Whisper eyed him sternly. “There are followers all over the world. You, of all cats, should know that. You followed Bluestar.” She turned toward Papillion. “You’re welcome.”

  • “Are you ready?! Im soo excited! ” I told Moon. I had gotten rest but it was hard because of my excitement,” What about you? I have never done something so cool even after Dovewing showed up.” I went on. Then calming down I looked at Dovewing she had went over to talk to Tigerstar and get more details, but it didn’t look like it was going well .

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Meanwhile with Dovewing~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    ” Do you even know what we are doing? Why haven’t given us much detail? Huh? I mean why should we even trust you after what you did to the clans?” Dovewing went on.
    • Moon was just walking and pouncing around, with most of the cats looking at her.
      She looked up at the moon, acting like she actually knew what was going on here. She then turned towards Lilyfoot and said,”Can I show you something?”
      • “Only if we can pull a prank on someone later. Deal?” I answered back.
        • Whisper overheard their plan. “I know some good ones. I can teach them to you. I only know a few, though. Best thing about them- no harm done!”
        • What is with cats and pranks? Moon wondered. “ Fine. But, you need to promise not to freak out, okay?” She addressed Lilyfoot and Whisper.
          • “Ok, promise. Now show us!” I said excitedly. I couldn’t wait.
            • “ Okay…” Moon mewed, walking towards the hollow. She padded over to a small den that she had created and announced,” Rising, you can come out now. “ A bright light ginger shape walked out of the makeshift den.
              “ Lilyfoot and Whisper, met Rising, my friend the fox. Please don’t attack her.”
                • ( ya, you can kill her, or do I’ll let her leave. My character was just taking care of her until she was strong enough to leave)
              • I gasped my fur bristling, but I promised not to be mad and be nice so I tried to calm down.”How long have you known her? How old is she? Are you sure she is safe? Where did you find her?How are you going to hide her during this? Who else knows about her?” I pestered.
                • “ Wow, calm down.” Moon said,” I’m only taking care of her until she’s good. I found a perfect place for her downstream, plenty of prey, and room for her to have a family. She’ll be gone soon, and you’ll never see her again, I promise.”
                • “are you sure she is safe to be around?” I asked with suspicion.
                • “ YES! “ Moon mewed loudly, making Lilyfoot jump. Why does no one believe me? “ She’s fine and I’m fine, and Rising isn’t going to attack anyone. She’s three moons old for Whatever’s clans sake!”
                • Stormsong hears the word “prank” and rolls her eyes. She despises pranks, so she won’t be getting involved.
                  Stormsong chooses not to mention the fox, since everyone else is already. She just hopes Moon knows what she’s talking about. But Moon seems so sure that Stormsong accepts this, at least for now.
  • Bluestar was moderately annoyed with the young cats. all they did half the time was bounce around, chattering like mocking birds. She also didn´t like how firestar was completely ignoring her and just starting fights with tigerstar again, like usual. Echo, on the other hand, just laid back, not really talking to anybody because she didn´t know anyone and she was a little shy, to be honest.
  • I resisted the urge to hiss at Rising as she came towards me. “Ok, I believe you.” I said as I spotted Dovewing pad up beside Tigerstar looking annoyed as he had not answered her questions. She eminently looked alarmed and crouched to pounce.”Wait! She is friendly!” “Umm I don’t know what you are seeing but thats a fox””She is harmless Moon is just taking care of her until she be ok by her self.” Dovewing still looked suspicious but didn’t attack, I took that as a win. Keeping one eye on Rising she turned to Tigerstar and said,” Are you going to answer my questions or not?”
