VIPER’S PROFILE PIC CONTEST
I, your fearless viper, am resigning from Picrew. Yeah, yeah, I know, I promised a revolution and complete takeover of the world and universe, but the pic’s just kind of bothering me. It doesn’t look like my purrsona as much as I’d like it to and frankly I miss the purple background. I am, however, due for a new profile pic 😛
That’s where you come in!
From now until next Wednesday, July 8th, you’ve got the opportunity to draw a profile pic for me! There are prizes 😛
1st PLACE: A full picture, 2000×2000 dimensions, with background, shading, and lighting. Involves up to four characters in the scene, all of which must be cats. 😛 OR: one of the other prizes (does not exclude that prize’s winner from getting the same kind ofprize.)
2nd PLACE: A full-body picture, with shading and lighting, of ONE character. Character must be a cat. This is for your own good; you haven’t seen me draw anything that isn’t a cat for good reason. XD OR: a third-place prize (does not exclude that prize’s winner from getting the same kind of prize.)
3rd PLACE: A head-shot picture, with background, shading, and lighting, of a character who is either a cat or a bird. 🙂
CONTEST RULES:
1. Picture must be 800×800. 😛
2. My ref sheet was done by the wonderful Kat: https://imgur.com/a/1ek54A2
3. Try to make the ears a little straighter than in the ref sheet, as my purrsona has changed a bit, and I now have a gray muzzle as well. Please also make the color scheme a bit lighter than the actual ref sheet, so they stick out from the lines when viewed as a tiny picture 🙂
4. The background’s your choice, but I’d prefer it to be a deep purple similar to my last profile pic. I love purple. 😛
that’s pretty much it! 😀 hope this all makes sense and I encourage you to give it a shot even if you’re under some kind of misconception that you aren’t good at drawing. we’re all on an art journey here and I often don’t think my art looks good either. <3

if the drawings you usually make fit into the gravatar box as profile pics just fine, make them that way! i just based it off the size of the pic i've had for a while so there's no sweat in overlooking that guideline 😛
also what in the name of starclan XD I work on like a 2000x2000 canvas for my larger art; your attention to detail must be off the charts 😀

800×800 is just a guideline! FOR FUTURE PEOPLES: If you have a program that doesn’t tell you the dimensions, it’s perfectly okay! 🙂

problem is, i’m awesome at traditional and prooooooooooooobably suck at digital
let’s see how this goes
hm, would you like to have a specific expression for the profile pic or position the cat is in cuz it would be super helpful to know what you’d like. also, maybe if you want a headshot, half body, or full body as ur profile pic!
i am definitely not doing this cuz i have no talent putting my own imagination into art so i need ur help with what u want um1. if you feel like traditional is better suited to your skill set, definitely do traditional! you should be happy and comfortable when doing your art, and i’m not going to change that <3
2. So I'm definitely going for a headshot, so it's easier to see from a distance. As for expression, happy or sly would probably be my first impression, followed by solemn or joking if you don't like either of the earlier options. 😛

Ok so uhh ahem uh-
