I have a question
Should I kill Sapphire Sight?
Just for context, Sapphire Sight is Frosted Stream’s mate, and the time this thing takes place is during a time where the threat of civil war is hovering the air and the provinces either need to side with the king or against the king. Two provinces are already sided against the king, and one province already sided with the king. Frosted Stream, the leader of one of the provinces, decided to side with the king to try to prevent war from breaking out because if she sided her province against the king it would be 3 to 1 and the king’s side would be outnumbered and the other rebel provinces would immediately attack. Sapphire Sight disagrees with Frosted Stream, thinking that they should’ve sided against the king and with the rebels, but unfortunately before Frosted Stream could change her mind she is immediately yoinked by the king to be locked up in the palace (which is what happened to the leader of the province that sided with the king) so of course Sapphire Sight would try to rescue her or conspire with the rebel provinces to save Frosted Stream and oust the king, but then realistically the sentinels or the king himself would immediately kill her, and bonus points for giving Frosted Stream (who is going to be the main character, I believe) some angst.
However, considering the fact that every confirmed romance in the universe ended up badly (it’s almost like the case of ‘Bury your Gays’, except instead of gays it’s allos), and Lase x Fang and Snowy x Riv (MY OC, NOT THE BLOGCLANNER) are in canon purgatory, I need to have at least one explicit romance that doesn’t end horribly.

Because this is war, yeah? Wars don’t end well. It does make sense that cats would die (and imo it’s more realistic and can be a more interesting story!)
But also, idk, you don’t want to just… torture your readers? I think it’s a very delicate balance with war stories, you want the dark and the realism, but you want the reader to root for someone and have some hope.
Ultimately, it’s up to you. But I say yes, it seems more realistic that she would die (especially considering she’s with the king)

No, I have not abandoned Burned, I’m just stuck on where else to go with it. (And I’m only on chapter five. Woo.)
so what do I do when I’m stuck?
Leave it to sit for a heckin’ long time and bring in a totally unrelated story.
So the story that I’m currently working on is called Alpha and Human: The Untold Story. And this is what it’s about:
Alder doesn’t trust many humans anymore. She only trusts half of them to remember her, a quarter to teach her, and one with her secrets: her best friend, Cypress, who would take them to his grave. Besides, not many people like her anyways. They all say “Alphas are too scary to try and relate to, and we can only try our hardest to please them and not to fight back unless they attack us first”.
No one lets anyone under sixteen outside. No one lets them see anything about them. All she has is books about them, and even then, they’re only about how dangerous and creepy and powerful they are.
But then she meets an alpha.
And she’s never the same.
Trying to hide Smoke is like trying to light a match in a rainstorm; Alder’s only very extra lucky that her village is near a forest. But even with that, being a fourteen year old with an alpha as a friend can be tough. She’s constantly having to sneak out of her village, and let’s just say that her mother isn’t the most relaxed person in the world.
When one day someone discovers that she’s friends with an alpha, Alder has to choose between her loyalty to her whole life…or to one friend who’s more dangerous than she could ever dream to be.
So! Doesn’t make much sense. (At least, I don’t think it does. Sorry. If you have a better description, please, please, PLEASE tell me before I put this on Wattpad.)

When she’s playing or singing, it’s like she’s another person entirely: not angry, not feeling guilty for not stopping the village, not still furious at the whole village for killing Kelp. She’s super extra mad at her parents for selling Kelp to the Keepers, and she retaliates by ignoring them, snarking at them, or breaking their stuff. She’s a little softer around Smoke and Cypress, but that’s only because she trusts them with her life (and also because she likes smoke, but she doesn’t realize it yet).

He’s quite shy and soft-spoken around other alphas, and he’s got a heart of gold, always bein’ the polite lil bean; however, with his friends he can be a little more outspoken. He’s often bullied by the other alphas in his village because of how kind and generous he is to others, which makes no sense, since he should be praised for it. He likes Alder secretly, but is too afraid that she doesn’t like him to admit it and really doesn’t want to make things awkward between them if she doesn’t. When he’s upset or angry in any way, he tends to get very loud and fighting-like, but if his friends are upset he likes trying to comfort them, even if it makes them angrier. He’s thoughtful as well, usually bringing a small guitar pick to Alder whenever she really needs to feel comforted. Basically an overall pure adorable cinnamon roll.

Hello, I’ve been writing a fan fiction following a young she-cat named Ravendawn, and a father named Whitestep.
Ravendawn loves her brother, but feels like they are drifting apart. She has suspicions of Whitestep. She doesn’t know what he’s doing and thinks that if she knows it will help her overcome her worries about her closeness with her brother. Plus, she keeps hearing this warrior’s cry, and is seeing blood on snow in her dreams.
Whitestep has other problems. He and his daughter have always been close, and he used to be close to his son, too. After his mate died though, his son doesn’t seem very close to him anymore. He keeps hearing the voice of a warrior in StarClan saying, “A kit will die on a frightening night, Streams, Blazes, and dark Ravens will appear, but soon they’ll be gone, we fear, and if they fall, then you’ll hear their call, not from those loved ones…but a battle cry….” He can’t figure it out, but since his kits are Streampaw and Blazepaw, he’s worried that something will happen to one of them.
Soon Ravendawn and Whitestep find that their prophetic dreams will end up twirling together, showing that something more terrible than any of the clans could ever imagine will happen soon…..

Cliffkit stared at Crowstar. “Am I going to get that big?” she asked her denmate, Owlkit.
“Never!” Owlkit squeaked, throwing her huge 5 moon old body on top of Cliffkit’s. “I’ll be the next leader. Bet you’ll just be a fragile little elder,” Owlkit told her. Cliffkit scampered back into the nursery, trying to push Owlkit’s teasing away. Cliffkit had to become the next leader!
7 moons later
The new ‘paw Cliffpaw had a busy day, keeping Emberfoot’s ticks away and hunting with her mentor, Owlflight, who had gotten over her teasing ways and grown a good warrior. When they got back from hunting, things had changed in camp. Their medicine cat Kestrelflight ran over to them. “Crowstar has Blackcough!” he yelped. “His lives are draining away, all of them!” Owlflight’s eyes were round. “Who else?” Kestrelflight closed his eyes. “Nightcloud and Heathertail. The latter has the worst of it. Breezepelt is with her, but it might not be enough. I tried everything.”
10 moons later:
Breezepelt stared right through her, his eyes dull with grief. It’d been moons since Heathertail, his mate, left for StarClan. Crowstar had left to, leaving Nightcloud weak and frail in the elders’ den. “Well?” asked the new warrior Cliffwhisker. “You coming to hunt?” Breezepelt looked at her. “Yes,” he whispered. “Let’s go honor her memory, not keep inside our dens.”
The new leader Gorsestar writhed in pain. “I’m expecting kits with Leaftail,” she breathed. “I cannot lead. As my deptuty, you must take my place forever, Cliffwhisker. Become Cliffstar.”
