We are delighted to have so many talented and prolific writers on BlogClan, but the amount of fan fiction posted in comments has increased so much that we do not have the time or resources to moderate it all in a timely fashion. What we’re about to say will seem harsh, but it will hopefully mean that comment moderation over the whole site will become quicker which means more fun for everyone. So, here goes, and apologies in advance if this is upsetting:

Fan fiction comments will not be moderated on BlogClan.

This means comments containing fan fiction will never make it out of moderation. They will languish there, unread and unmoderated, for eternity.

Wattpad provides an excellent platform for reading and sharing fan fiction. You might wish to use that instead to share your stories. I am not favouring Wattpad. It’s the only one I know of, and I’m sure there are many other platforms out there you might prefer. It’s up to you!

If you can’t make an account on any site, you may use justpaste.it! If you only have access to Google Docs, then you must use a blog email to make the document or link a web-published version of your document. To make a web-published version, set the doc to be viewable by anyone with the link, then go to “File” -> “Share” -> “Publish to web” and click “Publish”, then copy the link provided (it MUST end in “/pub”). • Alright guys this is it! THE LAST CHAPTER OF EYE OF THE STORM!!!! I’m half way through the sequel titled The First Warrior, and the first two chapters of that will be released shortly.

    Chapter 15

It seemed that everyone found a way to move on except for Stormfrost.
Fernleaf made many friends in ShadeClan, and spoke to them as if she were one of them. She looked more at ease than Stormfrost had ever seen her.
Sneezebird, though she had lost one of her kits to Snake’s treacherous rule, found happiness in caring for Rainmist’s kits as if they were her own.
A few of the missing cats returned. Frozenclaw and Icepaw found their way to the ShadeClan camp, to Vixenclaw’s great relief. And Flameleap returned as well, though other cats like Turtlepelt, Featherpaw, and most of LakeClan still had not shown up.
The sick cats recovered from greencough, but Brightstar lost her final life from wounds a few days after the battle. Barkstripe, the PineClan deputy, died in the battle as well.
The battle took so many lives, Stormfrost thought in despair. But why did it have to take Ryewing?
“Can everyone gather around for a Cl– for a meeting?” Nighthaze called out. “Not just ShadeClan, but everyone.” Once everyone had gathered, she continued to speak. “As you all know, Brightstar has died. Duckfeather and Beepaw are taking me to the Moon Cave to earn my nine lives, and I need to appoint a deputy. My deputy will be Heatherthorn. Her acts of bravery as a spy make her the obvious choice, and I can’t wait to fight alongside her.”
    “Heatherthorn! Heatherthorn! Heatherthorn!”
Heatherthorn ducked her head in embarrassment. “Thank you,” she meowed after the cheering died down. “I am honored to be your deputy.”
“I also have a few apprentices that should have been made warriors a long time ago,” Nighthaze continued. “Would Palepaw, Petalpaw, and Wolfpaw please step forward. Palepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code even with the cost of your life?”
    “I do.”
“Then from this day forth, you will be known as Palelight.” Petalpaw and Wolfpaw then earned the names of Petalsky and Wolfscratch.
    “Palelight! Petalsky! Wolfscratch!”
Reedstar stepped up after Nighthaze was done. “It is with great sorrow that I announce that my deputy, Ripplestep, is still missing, and Willowheart, our medicine cat, died while we were held captive. Willowheart never took on an apprentice, so we will wait for a sign from StarClan for what to do next. As for our deputy, we only have six warriors, so we can manage without one for a little while. Many of our warriors are missing, but since there are no bodies, we have no reason to think they are dead. Mosspaw, I know that you were expecting a warrior ceremony, since yours was interrupted, but LakeClan needs apprentices, so until Honeyshine’s kits are six moons, you will stay an apprentice.”
Dapplestar was next. “We are happy to announce that Frozenclaw returned, and Bramblebush is going to give Harepaw his full medicine cat name at the next half-moon. As you all know, Stormfrost gave birth to two she-cats who have yet to be named. Sadly, her mate and an honorable warrior, Ryewing, died from battle wounds. Another one of our warriors, Rainmist, died of greencough. We have a few missing, and we will honor the fallen.” She sighed. “Now for some good news, it is about time that Dawnpaw and Hootpaw are made warriors, so you two please step forward.”
Dawnpaw and Hootpaw shared an excited glance and Plumsong tried to quickly groom them.
“Dawnpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code even with the cost of your life?”
    “I do.”
“Then by the power of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. From this day forth, you will be known as Dawnclaw. Hootpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code even with the cost of your life?”
    “I do.”
“Then by the power of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. From this day forth, you will be known as Hootfeather.”
    “Dawnclaw! Hootfeather!”
Finally, it was Needlestar’s turn. “Like Reedstar and Dapplestar, a few of our warriors are still missing, including an apprentice, Featherpaw.”
Vixenclaw let out a low whimper at her daughter’s name.
“But PineClan has some good news. One of our warriors, Fallowleap, is expecting her second litter of kits. And I know you are probably tired of warrior ceremonies, but Rosepaw has done more than enough to earn hers. Rosepaw, come up here. Do you promise to uphold the warrior code, even with the cost of your life?”
“I do,” Rosepaw murmured. She still looked haunted from the death of her sister.
“Then by the power of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. From this day forth, you will be known as Roseberry, in honor of Berrypaw. She will forever live on through you.”
    “Roseberry! Roseberry! Roseberry!”
Roseberry’s eyes glistened. “Thank you,” she breathed.
“My final announcement is an important one,” Needlestar yowled. “Our deputy, Barkstripe, was killed in the battle. PineClan needs a new deputy, and I have the perfect cat in mind for the job. This cat put everything he had into helping others during these dark times. He is an experienced warrior, and deserves this after everything he has done. Would Everflame please step forward?”
    Everflame’s eyes widened in shock.
“I say these words before StarClan, so that the spirits of our warrior ancestors may hear and approve of my choice. The new deputy of PineClan is Everflame.”
    “Everflame! Everflame! Everflame!”
Once the meeting was dispersed, Stormfrost stood in the same spot, grief freezing her paws in place. It just didn’t seem real yet. One moment, everything was perfect, and the next, Ryewing was dead. Ever since he died, she felt as if she no longer had a place in the Clans.
    “Stormfrost? What are you doing?”
For one amazing moment, Stormfrost thought she heard Ryewing. But then the moment passed and she saw it was Everflame.
“Nothing,” she replied softly. “Just thinking.”
Everflame padded up beside her. “I’m sorry.”
Stormfrost turned to him in surprise. “What for?”
“We used to be great friends, and then… I don’t know. I have been horrible to you.”
When Stormfrost didn’t say anything, he sighed. “Well, I just wanted to say that, so I guess I’ll get going—”
For some reason, Stormfrost felt panicked at the thought of him leaving. “Wait,” she whispered. “Don’t you want to know why I interrupted you that day?”
Everflame turned to her and sat back down. “Okay.”
“I scented Snake for the first time since Fernleaf and I escaped,” she said quietly, squeezing her eyes shut. “It terrified me, because I thought he was going to kill us. I was afraid of him finding me. So I told you to run.” She shrugged. “I’m sorry if you thought I was being mean.”
She could feel Everflame’s stare burning into her. “Do you want to know what I was going to say?”
Stormfrost opened her eyes and Everflame took that as a yes. “I was going to ask if you wanted to be my… my mate.” Everflame swallowed hard. “And I know that you’re a RockClan cat now, and your heart belongs to someone else now. And it probably always will. But Stormfrost, you’re the most special cat I’ve ever met. I don’t think I will ever stop loving you, even if you will never love me back. I know that we won’t ever be together that way, but you should know that I will always be here for you, as a friend.”
Stormfrost was suddenly brought back to the moment she was first made a PineClan apprentice, and it felt like she was never going to belong. But then Everflame showed up and she knew she was where she was meant to be. She was lost now, but maybe Everflame would help her find her way back home.

“Everyone, start preparing to go back to RockClan camp,” Dapplestar announced.
It had been a little over a quarter moon since they arrived in ShadeClan, and it was time to go back to RockClan. Stormfrost felt a tug of uncertainty about going back to RockClan, now that Ryewing and Rainmist and so many others wouldn’t be there.
“Are we gonna see our camp, Fernleaf?” the silver tabby kit asked.
“Yes, little one, you are,” Fernleaf mewed in a soft voice.
Stormfrost was a little jealous of how much the kits—her kits—acted like Fernleaf was their mother. She had distanced herself so much from the kits that Fernleaf had to step in.
“Yay! I can’t wait!” the pale tabby kit squealed.
Silverdusk padded over to them. “Are you ready to go home?” she asked expectantly. “Dapplestar is waiting.”
Fernleaf looked away, and Stormfrost tilted her head. What was her sister hiding?
“I… I’m not going back to RockClan with you,” she murmured.
    Stormfrost gasped. “What?!”
Silverdusk narrowed her eyes in concern. “Why not?”
Fernleaf gave them an apologetic smile. “I’m staying here. I belong in ShadeClan.”
That can’t be right, Stormfrost thought. “But ShadeClan is so dark! And they’re creepy,” she tried to remind her.
Fernleaf glared at Stormfrost. “Do you really listen to those old apprentice tales? ShadeClan cats are kind and welcoming, and ever since the moment I set paw on their territory I knew I belonged here.”
“Fernleaf,” Stormfrost desperately searched for the words that would make her sister stay with her. “We’re RockClan cats. Not ShadeClan.”
Fernleaf shook her head. “I tried to tell you that I never felt comfortable in RockClan or PineClan, but you didn’t want to listen. I’m sorry, I am staying in ShadeClan. I’ve already talked to Nighthaze and Dapplestar about it.”
Silverdusk approached Fernleaf, grief shining in her eyes. “I love you, my daughter, and I will miss you. I only want you to be happy, and if ShadeClan makes you happy, you should stay.”
    Fernleaf purred. “Thank you.”
Stormfrost touched her nose to Fernleaf’s. “We are sisters. No matter how far apart we are, we will always be there for each other. Goodbye, Fernleaf. I will see you at the next gathering.”
Stormfrost’s kits scampered around Fernleaf in circles. “Are we going to RockClan yet, Fernleaf?” they asked.
Fernleaf bent down to them. “I am staying here, sweet ones. You must go with your mother, Stormfrost. She loves you very much.”
“But we want to stay with you!” the pale tabby kit protested.
Fernleaf nudged them towards Stormfrost. “I’m sorry, little ones. Go with your mother now.”
Silverdusk flicked her tail. “Are you coming, Stormfrost?”
Stormfrost’s head spun. She wanted to go with her mother, but at the same time, was RockClan still her home? Everything had changed, and she wasn’t sure it was going to be the same place it once was.
“Silverdusk, I’m so sorry,” she began. “But I think I have to go back to PineClan.”
Silverdusk dipped her head in understanding. “I only want you to be happy,” she meowed. “Like you said to Fernleaf, no matter how far apart we are, I will always be there for you.” She glanced at the PineClan cats, who were leaving. “Go now, before they leave without you. I’ll tell Dapplestar.”
Stormfrost pressed up against her mother. “Thank you,” she whispered. “I love you.”
“Stormfrost? Are you going back to PineClan?”
Stormfrost looked over Silverdusk’s shoulder to see Lionkit. “Yes,” she answered. “I am.”
Lionkit bounced. “Then I’m going with you!” he squeaked.
    Stormfrost blinked. “Are you sure?”
Lionkit nodded eagerly. “Both of my parents are dead. I want to start over. Please?”
Stormfrost hesitated before nodding. “Alright. Hurry up, now.” She gathered her kits and Lionkit and raced after the PineClan cats. Everflame was at the back of the group. “Everflame!” she cried. “Wait!”
Everflame turned around in surprise. “Stormfrost? What are you doing?”
Stormfrost began walking in step with PineClan. “I’m going back with you,” she replied calmly.
“Mama, where are we going?” the silver kit stared up at her with huge eyes.
Stormfrost pulled both of her kits closer to her. “We’re going home.”

  • “Hello, love.” The calico in front of Pantherkit purred. “What’s your name?” she asked.

“I’m Pantherkit! Who are you? Are you from another clan? You don’t smell different. My mama says that-” She cut the kit off with a sweep of her tail. “I’m Lilyfang. And I used to live in CloudClan.”

“Used to?” Pantherkit tilted his head, staring at Lilyfang. “I’m part of a different group now,but I still like to come back every so often.” He wanted to believe the she-cat-she was friendly and calming-but something still bugged him.

“This isn’t CloudClan,it’s MeadowClan. Are you lost? I can find someone to-” Lilyfang laughed slightly, flicking her ear. “I’m not lost. Who says I couldn’t have friends in other Clan I wanted to visit?”

“Well…that does make more sense.” He said before pushing away the small amount of uneasiness that still pestered him. “Who are you here to see? We can go find them.”

Lilyfang shrugged,”No one in particular. MeadowClan cats are pleasant,I like to observe.”

Pantherkit beamed up at her, green eyes glittering. “Ok! I could show you around camp,or we could get some fresh-kill,or-”

“I have a mission for you, little one.” Lilyfang’s gaze flitted across camp,as if checking for others. “Are you brave enough for it?”

“Of course!” He briefly paused. “Er-what’s the mission?” Pantherkit knew that whatever Lilyfang said,he would try his hardest. “I’m gonna be an apprentice soon,y’know. Only three more moons!”

“You need to sneak out of camp tonight.” The tom’s eyes widened at the notion of leaving safety. “Really? Aren’t there scary things out there? Like foxes and badgers and rogues?”

“You’ll be alright,I’ll even join you halfway. I’d like you to meet some cats.” Lilyfang once again glanced around camp. They were behind the nursery, and Pantherkit’s siblings and mother were taking a nap together,so it wasn’t likely that someone would see them, but the she-cat kept doing that. Every so often, looking around and then staring back down at the kit.

“But won’t I get in trouble?” He asked. “Not if you do it right.” Lilyfang responded. “Listen carefully…”

Pantherkit trotted along next to the small stream that Lilyfang told him to follow. It had been hard not telling his brother and sister about the mission, but the she-cat had been clear on not wanting him to say anything.

After a while,he finally came to the clump of tree stumps that marked where his new friend would meet him. She laid across the largest one,her fur shining in the moonlight.

“Lilyfang! I did it! I snuck out and didn’t get caught!” He yowled. The she-cat slowly opened her eyes, smiling.

“Good job, love. I knew were the perfect cat for this. Now come along.” With that, she gracefully jumped down.

“So,where are we going?” Pantherkit walked next to Lilyfang, his fur fluffed up against the leaf-fall chill. “We’re going to see some of my friends,I’m sure you’ll like them.” she was more relaxed out of camp, not looking around every few seconds.

“Cool! Are any of them kits? I’d love to have someone new to hang out with. My sister, Ripplekit, plays too rough. And Shadekit just tells on us if we do something he doesn’t like.” Lilyfang’s whiskers twitched in amusement as the kit rambled about his family. It was cute, she had to admit.

“There are no kits, but it’ll still be a fun experience. And a few cats may be up to playing with you.” Just as she spoke the words, they came to a large rise in the ground in front of them. “Here we are. Be careful.” Lilyfang slowly climbed up while Pantherkit followed, digging his tiny claws in.

Soon, both of them stood at the top. Pantherkit was practically bouncing in anticipation, and when he finally saw other cats,he squealed. “Yay! We made it!” He half ran half slid down the other side before running over to the three gathered cats.

“Hi! I’m Pantherkit!” As he was introducing himself,Lilyfang came up behind him. “This is Ashwillow,” she said, flicking her tail to a grey she-cat. “Buzardflight,” a huge black tom with many scars. “and Iceblaze.” the last one was a white she-cat who’s orange eyes were bright and reflective.

Ashwillow was the first to say something. “So,this is the one?” she asked. It didn’t make much sense to Pantherkit, but Lilyfang seemed to get it. “Yes,he was an easy target.” The tom looked between the two she-cat before shaking his head and turning to Buzzardflight. “I like your name! I also think I’ve heard of you. Aspenstripe-that’s my mama-told a story with a cat named Buzzardflight. Or was it Beetleflight? Something with a B.”

A grunt was the cat’s only response,so Pantherkit walked over to Iceblaze. “Hello.” she said,a strange look on her face. He noticed that her claws were out,but ignored it. She was probably ready to protect them in case something happened. Yeah, that was it.

“Do you want to play? Lilyfang said someone here would want to play with me. There’s hide and seek,preystone-we’d have to play it on land-,though-”

Pantherkit abruptly stopped talking as Iceblaze walked away. He watched her join Lilyfang near the rise and noticed that Ashwillow was now sitting behind him, claws unsheathed. “Oh,hi! I didn’t noticed you.” She nodded, but didn’t look directly at him.

The small tom walked over to Lilyfang and waited until her and Iceblaze got done talking. “You said there would be cats to play with!”

Pantherkit jumped at bit as he turned around and saw Ashwillow behind him again. This time Buzzardflight was with her. And Iceblaze sat on his left, keeping him from moving around much. He glanced at each of them, confused and somewhat scared.

“Lilyfang? You promised someone would play with me.” he repeated his earlier words quietly, shifting his paws.

“Oh,there will be plenty of cats to play with in StarClan,I promise.” With that, she lunged.

Feedback is appreciated! Let me know if there’s something you think I could improve on!

  • Repost:

    Shattered Heart

WARNING: This might be a sensitive subject for some people.

    ShadeClan:

Snowyblossom- A slender, long and silky haired pure white she-cat with clear crystal blue eyes

    ShiningClan:

Beesong- A small, dark gray/almost black tabby tom with bright yellow eyes

    Quick Explanation:

So, in this story, the Clans are ShiningClan, ShadeClan, CrystalClan and IceClan.
The system in this story is the exact same as normal warriors, except for one major change. There is one royal family in each Clan. Only those in the royal family can become leaders and are chosen every generation by the past leader. The royal family is respected and treated like royalty. Of course, this can lead to evil, unfair leaders but StarClan usually takes care of those stuff, so it’s not much of a problem. There are usually up to 2-5 cats in the royal family.
This “thing” was created from the very start, when cats were fighting to become leader, but now the cats find it unnecessary. Everyone is unhappy with this, but don’t want to go against StarClan’s will.
Deputies and medicine cats are chosen by StarClan. Deputies are usually the best cat in the Clan and hold a lot of power and will remain the deputy until they die.
Forbidden relationships are strictly banned and the cat may be killed for breaking it. (I know, it’s messed up. I might even do a second series about the future cats fixing the problem)
You can’t have relationships with; cats from other clans, medicine cats and also the royal family MUST have kits with someone else in the royal family, which most of the time is their siblings or even their parents sometimes.
One cat in the royal family is picked when the kits of the royal family become warriors and will remain in the royal family and become leader and their siblings will be kicked out of the family, unless they get married with the chosen cat.
Which results in royal family consisting of the leader, their mate and occasionally their kits or their parents or the to-be leader and their mate.

So Beesong was born into the royal family of ShiningClan. He was an only child, so the ShiningClan leader/his mother Rosestar picked him to become leader. (Note: Rosestar is evil, but hides it well. Also, his father was secretly murdered by his mother)
Unfortunately, he fell in love with a cat named Snowyblossom, who was the medicine cat of ShadeClan. What’s even worse is that ShiningClan was ancient enemies with ShadeClan which makes it the worst possible combination ever.
Anyways, everyone found out and Rosestar tried to kill them but they escaped and now they are running away to a better place.

    Chapter One:

The blazing sun wavered at the edges of the hills as it slowly dipped down the sky. Two shapes left a trail of trampled grass behind them as they treaded along the seemingly never ending fields of lush plants. Flowers lit up in a eerie orange light, hidden between the green stalks of grass. “How can such agony exist in such a beautiful world?” Snowblossom wondered sadly, brushing against the tall sunflowers growing high above the rest. She pressed her pelt, exhausted, to a small dark gray tom as they stepped onwards. Beesong’s eyes were dull, his fur mangled as if he hadn’t groomed it in moons and his fur filthier than any rat, debris sticking to his pelt. A small pang of guilt weighed in her stomach was she was reminded again of all the things he had done for her while she was injured. Snowyblossom shook her head to clear the incoming memories as a sharp pain up her foot distracted her from her thoughts and she lifted one dirty blood stained paw. Close up, a claw was missing from the paw and blood and mud was caked onto the wound, almost hiding the large cut. One ripped up piece of fern was covering the wound, but it hardly covered the injury. There was a constant agonising throb pounding in the wound. She stopped for a moment to lick her foot, gently soothing the pain. “Does it hurt?” Beesong asked, his soft yellow eyes full of worry as he examined her paw. “I’m fine,” Snowyblossom looked away, “I used to be ShadeClan’s medicine cat for StarClan’s sake.” “I know,” Beesong whispered, “But it hurts me to see you in such pain.” Snowyblossom felt Beesong’s breath warming her neck fur was he put his head close to hers. “H-how’s the infection?” he asked gently. She sighed, “The infection is getting worse. Without proper treatment, I might even die.” “I thought you said the infection was getting better!” Beesong’s eyes widened, shocked. “It’ll be fine,” Snowyblossom refused to meet his eyes as they reached a steep slope, “After all we’ve been gone through, I can’t just die now, can I?” She picked up her pace, only to stumble onto her side as she flopped down, unable to go further due to pain and exhaustion. A sudden searing pang of pain burned in her chest and grew more painful, until she could hardly breathe. “I-I can’t go any further,” Snowyblosso, squinted her eyes and winced as the dappled red light glistened on her frosty pelt. The blazing sun was like a burning fire to Snowyblossom, drying the mud stuck to her pelt and hardening the blood splattered across her body. “Just try to go a bit further, Snowyblossom,” the Beesong whispered, “There’s a cave we can rest at a little further.” His eyes were full of agony and clearly he was disagreeing with his words. “Beesong,” Snowyblossom rasped, trembling violently , “Did you not hear me? I don’t think I can go any further. I feel as if I’m going to collapse any second.” Snowblossom looked sadly at Beesong, her clear blue eyes glinting behind her ragged white fur. Her chest was rising up and down rapidly. Beesong looked back at Snowyblossom, speechless, and smiled weakly, “What happened to the Snowyblossom I knew? She used to have more energy than ten apprentices put together.” Snowyblossom’s eyes fogged with memories, as if she was remembering a forgotten past. “That was a long time ago” she murmured, “Now, things are different.” She looked up at the sunset, and the grief in her face was as clear as day. Beesong followed Snowyblossom’s gaze, his face unreadable. “Come on,” Beesong gently nudged Snowyblossom forwards, flicking his tail over her mangled pelt in comfort. Snowyblossom grunted as she heavily stood up again, and took a step forwards. The two set off again, agonisingly slow, but still making progress. “They can’t chase us forever, can they?” Snowyblossom mewed softly, looking behind her, as they walked on. Beesong looked doubtful, a shadow casting on his face. “Rosestar will do anything to kill us. She won’t let us go as easily as that.” “So, does that mean we’ll travel like this forever?” Snowyblossom wondered, “Just you and me, just barely surviving, always hurting and starving?” “In a few moons, we’ll move to a nice new place with lots of prey,” Beesong promised, “Somewhere where they can never find us.” “A place with clean water, juicy prey and tall trees,” Snowyblossom sighed, “A place we’ve been dreaming of for seasons.” “And where we can have kits together,” Beesong breathed, wonder in his eyes. They trudged along in silence as shadows started to cover the ground and the moon rose up, glowing with faint light. After a while, Snowyblossom could spot the outline of a small cave and as they got closer, she could spot small pebbles piled on top of the ground. Snowyblossom was panting heavily, her paws dragging along, getting caked with mud as she went along. Snowyblossom could feel the coolness of the dry grass beneath their pads and the sharp rocks as they went under a vast rocky overhang that formed rippling shadows on their pelts. As they got closer, she could also spot moss and vines climbing around the surface of the cave and broken shards of rock scattered around the place. The entrance of the cave was as dark as night and gave off an unusual smell. Snowyblossom cautiously sniffed the air, weary. “Are you sure there’s nothing here?” “I can’t scent anything out of the ordinary,” Beesong replied, “And besides, we have nowhere else to stay.” He glanced at the stars starting to glow in the sky, the moon shining brightly. “We have to risk it.” “I guess it won’t hurt…” Snowyblossom staggered a little, her eyes drooping with tiredness. Beesong took one look at her state and without another word, both of them entered the cave, their paw steps barely making a sound as they reached the surface of the cold stone ground. As they entered the cave, Snowyblossom could hear the gentle trickle of water as the rock beneath became damper. Her dry throat nearly cried with happiness at the thought of finally drinking some water. “There must be a pool nearby,” Beesong mewed, his yellow eyes glowing with excitement. His footsteps grew a little faster as he continued through the cave towards the sound. The sound of gushing water was a lot more clearer now and Snowyblossom could glimpse the surface of a rippling pool of what seemed like magical water. The cry for water became even more unbearable and she gulped to keep herself calm. Beesong was already trotting ahead, reaching the glistening pool and dipping his head to take a sip. Snowyblossom could feel the icy cold spray of water as she reached a pile of wet rocks only a few tail lengths from the water. After what seemed like moons to her, she finally arrived and immediately plunged her head into the water. The freezing water was like soothing honey to her, flowing past her throat and giving her new energy. Some of the blood and mud washed off her too, creating red stains of the smooth wet stone. Both her and Beesong settled down near the pool, sticking their wet pelts together near some lonely plants.

They were so distracted that they didn’t notice a thump of footsteps and a tall dark shadow looming over them as they closed their eyes…

  • Chapter Four
Dovepaw ran into the Apprentice Clearing, followed by her sister, Cloudpaw, and their mentors, Scorchflame and Infernofeather. Dovepaw and Cloudpaw had all their lessons together, as their mentors were mates. They had finished hunting and could now hunt rabbits, falcons, wrens, robins, and more birds. Rabbits are not birds, but Dovepaw and Cloudpaw could hunt them anyway.
“Okay, today we’re going to learn how to go under a cat’s belly and bite one of their legs and dash away before they can get you,” Smokeflame meowed, “You two look like you won’t be very bulky, ’cause some WingClan cats, like myself, are, and can’t do that, so that’s why we’re teaching you this.”
“I’ll show you by going under Smokeflame and not really bite him,” Infernofeather meowed, as she had a big but thin build, just like Dovepaw and Cloudpaw were growing into. Dovepaw and Cloudpaw nodded eagerly.
“Okay, I’ll pretend to be an evil IceClan cat,” Smokeflame meowed, “And Infernofeather will attack me.” Infernofeather darted under Smokeflame and pretended to bite his back leg. Smokeflame spun around, but Infernofeather was quick, and she slipped around him before he could get her. Then, with her claws sheathed, she lept onto Scorchflame’s back, scratching it, claws still sheathed.
“Okay, now it’s your turn, but remember: No real biting or scratching!” Scorchflame meowed. Dovepaw and Cloudpaw nodded. Infernofeather took Cloudpaw across the clearing to do it, and Dovepaw stayed with Scorchflame, her mentor.
“I’ll be an evil IceClan cat, and we’re fighting, okay?” Scorchflame meowed.
“Got it,” Dovepaw meowed. While Scorchflame was positioning himself, Dovepaw snuck under him and pretended to bite his back leg. But she wasn’t quick enough. Scorchflame spun around and pinned her down.
“Pinned ya, try again,” Scorchflame meowed as he got off of Dovepaw. Dovepaw tried again. She went under him and pretended to bite his leg. Scorchflame spun around, and Dovepaw was quicker. With sheathed claws, she jumped onto his back and scratched it. Then when he tried to roll onto his belly, Dovepaw let him, and she pinned him.
    “Nice work, Dovepaw!” Scorchflame meowed.
“We’re done, are you?” Infernofeather asked.
    “Yes, we are,” Scorchflame meowed.
“Can we do another lesson?” Cloudpaw asked.
    “Please?” Dovepaw added.
“Oh alright,” Infernofeather agreed, “This one is fun. So, when a cat has you pinned, you lift up your legs and kick them off, and then you pin them! It’s called the old pin trick. Oldest trick in the whisker.”
    “I’ll show you,” Scorchflame meowed.
“I’ll pretend to be an evil SeaClan cat, and Scorchflame has to pin me, but I have him pinned down,” Infernofeather meowed. Scorchflame and Infernofeather adjusted themselves. Scorchflame kicked Infernofeather off and pinned her down.
“Now you two try,” Scorchflame meowed as he got off of Infernofeather. Once again, Infernofeather took Cloudpaw across the clearing, and Dovepaw and Scorchflame stayed in the same spot.
“I’ll be an evil SeaClan cat who has you pinned down,” Scorchflame meowed. Dovepaw nodded and slipped under Scorchflame. She tried to kick him off(with sheathed claws), but he was too heavy.
“It’s okay, maybe you should try it with more force,” Scorchflame meowed, “Keep your claws sheathed, though.” Dovepaw nodded and tried again. With her claws sheathed, she kicked Scorchflame off, ran over to him, and pinned him down.
“Nicely done, Dovepaw!” Scorchflame meowed. Dovepaw got off, and Infernofeather and Cloudpaw padded over.
“It’s getting dark, we should head back to camp,” Infernofeather meowed. Scorchflame nodded in agreement. When they got to camp, Dovepaw ate a rabbit and curled up next to Cloudpaw in the Apprentices Den. She was worn out.
Well, if I become Queen, I’ll be worn out everyday, Dovepaw thought, But I don’t mind now and I don’t think I’ll mind then.

    • Chapter Five
Dovepaw felt pulses of excitment rush through her fur as her mentor, Scorchflame, groomed her. She looked at her sister, Cloudpaw, and watched as Cloudpaw’s mentor, Infernofeather, groomed Cloudpaw. Finally, Dovepaw and Cloudpaw’s mother, Rubystar, called the Clan Meeting.
“Let all those who are able to walk come to the roots of the WingClan treetop!” Rubystar called. Dovepaw had memorized Rubystar’s Clan Meeting words for when Dovepaw would be Queen. This is really it! Dovepaw thought excitedly, I’m going to be a Warrior! Scorchflame and Infernofeather hurried Dovepaw and Cloudpaw out of the nursery. Rubystar was smiling proudly from the treetop, and Smokeflame, Dovepaw and Cloudpaw’s father, was doing the same from his position on the roots. Dovepaw and Cloudpaw lept into the treetop, as the Warrior Code said that heirs to the treetop and the Queen were the only cats allowed to be in the treetop. No toms, not even royal toms. Scorchflame and Infernofeather sat together on the roots.
“I, Rubystar, Queen of WingClan, call upon my Warrior ancestors to look down on these two apprentices,” Rubystar meowed, “They have trained hard to learn the ways of your noble code and I ask you in turn to make them Warriors. Dovepaw, unless if you become the next Queen of WingClan, you will now be known as Dovefeather. StarClan honors your kindness and gentleness.” Dovefeather let her mother lick her head. Then it was Cloudpaw’s turn.
“Cloudpaw, unless if you become the next Queen of WingClan, you will now be known as Cloudheart. StarClan honors your kindness and enthusiasm,” Rubystar meowed. Dovefeather watched as her sister got licked on the head by their mother.
      “Dovefeather! Cloudheart!” the Clan cheered.
“Time for your vigil,” Smokeflame meowed when Dovefeather and Cloudheart had lept out of the treetop. Dovefeather and Cloudheart nodded and padded to the entrance of camp and sat down quietly. When they got cold, they pressed their bodies together.
      ***
Finally, that morning, Smokeflame padded over and told them they were done. Dovefeather and Cloudheart went to sleep in their new nests in the Warriors Den. They got to sleep in the middle of the den, as royal Warriors got to before they were Queen(if female), and male tomes who were the Queen’s mate just slept with the Queen in the hole in her treetop. Princes got to sleep in the middle as well, so the three cats in the middle were Dovefeather herself, Cloudheart, and Cliffheart. In the middle of the day, Cliffheart woke them up. Dovefeather and Cloudheart went out hunting, and they kind of found it funny how Scorchflame and Infernofeather had no idea what to do with all their freetime on their paws because Dovefeather and Cloudheart were Warriors. They were also touched that Scorchflame and Infernofeather saw them as daughters more than apprentices. She went out hunting with Cloudheart and Cliffheart(they joked that it was “The Royal Patrol”). Smokeflame, as the King of WingClan, had to organize patrols, and he was in a rush to get on a patrol himself that he just put them together by accident. When they got back, they put their catches(a wren, sparrow, and rabbit) on the fresh-kill pile. Dovefeather and Cloudheart had to stop themselves from going to look for the Elders ticks.
      Being a Warrior was nice.
And plus, it was one step closer for Dovefeather to be Queen.

    Dark Promises:

“Hello, love.” The calico in front of Pantherkit purred.

  • In case anyone would like to read it, my short story is on page 523. 😀

  • Hello guys! First chapter of a fanfiction I’m writing! Feedbacks, remarks, and suggestions are very welcome! Thanks! (Take a look if youre bored hueh)

    Chapter One.
Iriskit screeched as her brother reared over her, his broad shoulders ready to cuff her any second. It’s not fair! Medallionkit is much bigger than me! As a heavy weight pushed her to the ground, her indignant yowls were muffled by the lumps of thick ginger fur. That fat badger! She writhed underneath him, only managing to burst out when the kit released his hold, proudly licking his chest, as his eyes shined in victory. “Looks like Medallionkit won again!” Fleck-kit, her mottled-pelted brother teased, while Ploverkit lazily snorted behind him. Scowling at her littermates, she trudged out of the nursery, her ears flattened in dismay. She was the runt of Duskweave’s litter; although no one mentioned it out loud, her brother’s were much stronger then her. “Oof!” Not Again! Is my fate to be flattened around by fur? She thought as she bumped into a load of fur, stumbling backwards. “Iriskit! What are you doing out of the nursery so soon! It’s got to be moons before you’re apprenticed!” Linenpaw exclaimed, surprise edging his mew! Iriskit bristled I’m six moons old, almost old as you daft furball, thank you very much! “Where’s Duskweave” She spat, ignoring the young apprentice’s concern. “She’s out hunting near the stream-” Sniffing, she stalked past Linenpaw, without waiting to hear any more of his words, only to be stopped by another cat.

“Iriskit!” Her father slowly walked out of the elder’s den, trying not to wince as he padded across camp. Iriskit brightened as she saw her father! “Chesnutsprint!” she purred happily as she thrust herself gently next to his heaving flank, hoping the little weight she had could help support him at ease. Her pelt pricked self-consciously as she noticed the curious whispers towards Chesnutsprint from Sagepaw and Glintpaw. How dare they! Like those mouse-brains know anything!  She glared back at the gossiping apprentices, irritation sparking. Chesnutsprint and Duskweave were still very young cats. She and her brothers were from their first litter; and maybe even their last one. Just after the news that Duskweave was expecting, her father had been fatally wounded by a badger; the same one that took Sleekwhisker and Algaeheart. However, catching the Greencough that raged through camp did nothing but spread the infection of the wound and worsen his breathing; enough to make it impossible to carry out his warrior duties at a young age. Kinkpebble, the medicine cat, had said he was lucky to survive, Like it was his fault! He deserves to be a warrior, not an elder  She glanced at Chesnutsprint, while affectionately licking his clumped russet fur. Two pale red scars cut across his mattered flanks and handsome face that was most of the time, ridden with exhaustion. His legs, once lithe and fast, were now all wasted muscle and ragged fur. He still had many moons to serve! I wish he could still be a warrior huh!

Before she knew it, her mother had burst through the thorn barrier, a fat thrush between her teeth! “Duskweave!” Chesnutsprint mewed a greeting, only to interrupt into a series of hacking coughs. In an instant, her mother was beside him, dropping the thrush and anxiously muzzling him. She happily licked a greeting to Iriskit, but her eyes were still dark as Chesnutsprint continued coughing. “I better get Kinkpebble; off you go dear, find your brothers”. Duskweave gently stroked her to the nursery, a worried expression on her face. A pang of worry took Iriskit. “Will he be okay?”. But her mother was already by her father’s side, and couldn’t catch  her question. Sighing, as she entered the nursery, and padded over to her litter-mates. “You were talking to Chesnutsprint” Ploverkit mewed to her, narrowing his green gaze. Oh not again! “He’s our father!” Iriskit hissed back definitely, and curled in the soft moss. “But he’s not acting as one hm? Always dozing off and coughing” Ploverkit snarled softly, prodding her as he jumped down next to her. “That’s not true!” Yet even as she said those words, couldn’t help question the truth. But he’s ill! She tried to convince herself, against the bitter truth in Ploverkit’s words. “You better stay clear of him; unless you want to end up like him!” Her brother teased, bowling her over in the moss. Iriskit rolled her eyes as she struggled underneath her Ploverkit, blazing with anger and promise. You’ll see! I’ll grow up to be stronger than you, the strongest warrior in Thunderclan!”

  • a small little shadowsight song i wrote called Communicator

    oh, no,
    shad-ows,
    i’ll say,
    ’bout it,
    ’cause it affects shad-ows,
    oh,
    no,
    I’ll say,
    He did,
    to,
    me,
    me,
    ’cause I’m special,
    the only one,
the only cat able to communicate,
    communicate,
I know it’ll be hard for them,
Maybe, I might see some hate,
Yet, it will be good overall,
    I know,
    And if they say no,
    Its their own fault,
    Darkness,
    Black,
Am I the light that shines in the night?
    The special one,
    The one and only,
    communicator,
    Communicator?
