Alexander joins forces with James Madison and John Jay to write a series of essays defending the new United States Constitution entitled “The Federalist Papers.” The plan was to write a total of twenty-five essays, the work divided evenly among the three men. In the end, they wrote eighty-five essays in the span of six months.

Wait… you’re skipping all of the parts where the ensemble answers Hamilton back. There’s the part where everyone’s singing all together first. We did Angelica and Eliza’s part for that, but we didn’t do Burr, Washington, and the ensemble’s parts. Then, everyone gets together and sings the “History has it’s eyes on you” together, then Alexander says “I am not throwing away my shot,” and the ensemble has a line after that, “Just you wait,” and they go back and forth with that.
