I love Let It Go, When Will My Life Begin, Speechless, and Into The Unknown! I don’t remember which movies the other two were from though. My best friend recently got me on a Disney Princess streak, and I’ve had Let It Go stuck in my head for a straight week
Reflection is from Mulan, Almost There is from The Princess and the Frog, and Speechless is from 2019’s live-action Aladdin!
all my theater friends say im emotionless because i didn’t cry during songs like its quiet uptown, no one is alone, etc
and then i listened to eight by IU and started bawling my eyes out because of the meaning
the only hamilton song i cried during is tomorrow there’ll be more of us, the scene/song where john laurens dies. that was in july 2021; i now have a list of tomorrow there’ll be more of us deterrents. songs to play in my head while plugging my ears and closing my eyes when we watch hamilton on disney+ and we are on that song. i don’t think i could ever watch ttbmou again- it was just too sad for this universe.

Honestly, Shonen Knife’s cover of ‘When You Sleep’ by MBV is the cutest song I’ve ever heard. Every time I listen to it, it makes me feel so happy. 🙂
They somehow managed to turn a Shoegaze/Alternative Rock song into something that sounds like the Beach Boys, and they absolutely succeeded at it.
THIS is a good example of how you do a cover, along with Björk’s ‘It’s Oh so Quiet’ and Soft Cell’s ‘Tainted Love’. 😛
