Hamilton references aside, you all have no idea how freaking happy I am about this news. 8D I have been in this fandom for almost eleven years, and I have always wanted a Warriors movie, but I was beginning to think it would never happen, especially because of how difficult to adapt Warriors will be. But now, it’s finally happening. My inner 10 year old Warriors fan is so, so freaking happy right now. 😀
I have so many questions now. Which books are they adapting? How many books will they try to fit into one movie, and which ones? Who’s directing and writing? Who are they going to cast? Is it going to be in a more cartoony style of animation, or a more realistic CGI? When will it come out? How are they going to adapt the story? Which parts will they condense/change/cut out? Will it be in English or Chinese (since it’s a Chinese company), and if the latter, will there be an English dub/subtitles? I’m just so excited to learn more, and to finally be able to see a Warriors movie. 😀
I don’t know any more than the fans right now. I’m guessing it will be animation which means each language can have its own dubbed version – and Warriors has a pretty global fandom. I hope they get the feel of the books even if the storyline isn’t canon. If they stay true to the nature of each character and Clan, I’ll be happy 🙂
Meanwhile, US release: isn’t it time we started speculating about voice-actors?

They didn’t /make/ the new Star Trek, it says they invested in the new Star Trek, which I’m pretty sure means they just threw money at the people who were making it to help them make it. 😛
