  • since I’m bored I’m just going to post on how the species my ocs are look like because I decided to make up a species to further satisfy this galactic stuff
(they’re all heavily based on dogs, just saying)

(Cosmodog) Petram – Basically, they look like Earth’s pomchis or long-furred chihuahuas but larger (usually) and their floof level varies. Size ranges from about shiba inu to large cat. Very young petrams are the size of literal ants. This is supposed to be the dog adaptation of terrestrial planets.

(Cosmodog) Nubes-magnus – They look like Earth’s wolves but a little bit floofier. Supposed to be dog adaptation of gas giants. (ok I think it would make more sense to have magnus be the prefix but idc)
(Cosmodog) Nubes-glacies – They basically look like nubes-magni but smaller (about the size of german shepherds or labradors), more floofy, and a bunch of long white hair coming out of their ears and thick white curls of fluff around their paws, and a shorter tail. Supposed to be the dog adaptation of ice giants.
(Cosmodog) Micronubes – Basicaly nubes-magni or nubes-glaci but sMAllER. Size range ranges from large cat to literal ant. Also fur is similar to petram’s. Supposed to be dog adaptation of moons that are orbiting gas / ice giants, because biology.

(Cosmodog) Nanus – Idk how to describe this because this isn’t based off of anything, but I guess a very smol dog with very fluffy, floppy, and long-ish ears and a long but disappointing tail. Size ranges from smol cat to literal ant. Level of floof is usually disappointing. Supposed to be dog adaptation of dwarf planets.

(Cosmodog) Solstella – Basically nubes-magni but fire everywhere (or more specifically, at the eartips, neck, tail tip, and their wings are basically just wisps of fire). Not sure how that much fire is able to survive the vacuum of space, but let’s not question logic. Size ranges from unusually large wolfo to around the size of trexes. Also quite floofy. Supposed to be dog adaptation of stars.

    • Mine would probably be able to play it, since I imagine that they read the books.

I have favorite Warrior characters picked out for some of my main ones.

Fire’s is Squirrelflight, Dusty’s is Leafpool, and Sandy’s is also Squirrelflight just like Fire’s. (Squirrelflight seems to be popular among them. 😛 I picked her for Fire because they both have a feisty personality, and for Sandy because Squirrelflight’s relationship with Leafpool is like Sandy’s with Dusty.)

    • I think my newest OCs, Solstice, Lux, and Umbra, would all have different reactions XD

Solstice would have read the books to one of her younger siblings, and would know most of the characters. Lux would act like he knows about them but he really doesn’t.
Umbra would think you were insane and would slowly walk away.

  • I made up Warrior names and Tribe names for some of my characters (basically what they would be named if they were cats in Warriors).

    Rain:
    Warrior name: Rainpool
Tribe name: Rain that Ripples Gently in Pool

    Sandy:
    Warrior name: Sandpelt
Tribe name: Sand that Glitters on Pelt

    Dusty:
    Warrior name: Dustfur
Tribe name: Dust that Glitters on Fur

I’m especially happy with their Tribe names. I like Rain’s because it shows her gentle personality, and the sisters’ because they match each other’s perfectly.

    • I wanna do this now 😛

      Raven:
      Warrior name: Ravendusk
Tribe name: Raven That Calls At Dusk

      Hurricane:
      Warrior name: Hurricanestorm
Tribe name: Hurricane That Slices In Storm

    • :0000 that’s such a fund ideaaaaa

      Sage: Sagestone
Tribe name: Sage Sprig Nestled in Stone

      Basil: Basilfire
Tribe: Basil that Blooms in Fire

      Ferris: Copperflight
Tribe: Flight of Copper Bird through Sky

      Simon: Wolfsong
Tribe: Wolf that Sings at Dusk

  • Do any of your character’s have birthdays, and if so what’s their star sign?

Sage and Basil’s birthday is September 26th, and they are Libras

Simon’s is July 7th, and he is a Cancer

Ferris’ is December 10th, and he is a Sagittarius

  • My OCs, Lux, Solstice, and Umbra:

Basically the story that they’re in is set in space on another planet, sooooo yeah. They have jewels on their foreheads because that’s where they store their life source.

Lux is a thief who lives in the streets of the planet, and he’s normally being looked for by the king, queen, and the army.
Solstice is the eldest of 8 kits, and she has to look after her siblings. Her parents are dead.
Umbra is the most interesting character, I’d say. She’s the daughter of the king of the Twilight Kin (which is basically the DF but they’re alive) but she doesn’t want to be evil. Eventually her jewel shatters because she pushes herself to far, so she knows the end is inevitable for her.

  • I think this has been asked on blogchat before it has been blocked >:( but how would you rate your relative maturity on your ocs?
So basically relative maturity basically means maturity based on not only maturity itself, but also their age.

So an immature newborn won’t be considered relatively immature nor relatively mature, because newborns are expected to be immature. I think the term should be just “relative”.
However, a fairly mature 6.5 year old (yes I have lowered Encie’s age a little to make more sense) would be relatively mature, because 6.5 year olds aren’t expected to be that mature. (but I rlly don’t think sitting on a griffon’s fish and not getting off even when asked and having to have your 9.5 year old first cousin to yank another fish off of the counter to lure you away counts as mature)
And an immature adult would be relatively immature.

I’ll post my ratings as soon as other people are interested.

    • -Simon—Simon is very very mature, especially when compared to the fact that he is a 15 year old boy and already prepared to save the entire world single handily even if he kills himself in the process. The rest of the FANG gang does not approve of this plan.

-Ferris–Ferris is relatively immature. He’s not terribly immature when compared to the rest of the gang, but he’s 102 😛 sometimes he just doesn’t follow rules that need to be followed, although usually the only one who ends up getting hurt is him.

-Sage–Sage is relatively mature, although not as insanely so as Simon. She still has her immature moments when she feels like people don’t trust her, but she’s still very serious about her friends and hates being treated as a little kid.

-Basil–Probably the least mature of the group, but the only one who really acts her age 😛 she’s not super immature, per se, but fairly rebellious and doesn’t always look at the full picture. Relativity wise, she’s pretty neutral, acts like a 15/16 year old girl.

    • Okay I think it’s about time to post my ratings 😛

Starting with the 4th wall breakers (or world border breakers, idk what to call them).

The twins who aren’t really even that close are relatively mature for 31 year olds. Except for the fact that Earthie is a little crazy, and Venus is the head massacrer of planetmortals who don’t offer pumpkin spice lattes and also wants to murder Raven. But I’m not sure if crazy = immature.

Mari is a little immature for a 28 year old. She kinda just occasionally throws things for absolutely no reason. She is also hunting down Raven with Venus because why not but then they both get into arguments that allow Raven to escape.

Europa is fairly mature for a 9.5 year old, because she doesn’t rage at every single inconvenience that happens and doesn’t just randomly try to breathe fire on everyone, unlike her slightly older sister and is overall a good child. Except for Icili and the closet thing. Except for those two.

Encie is also fairly mature for a 6.5 year old (i have to get used to the fact that she is no longer 7) excluding those fish moments.

Okay, I’m adding a little more doggos to the list because why not.

Merc is relatively immature, because she’s ummm 26 and is still aroused and manipulated by candy and basically goes crazy for it despite not being a pupper anymore.
Callista and Ganymedis, Jupii’s two oldest childs, are apparently quite mature for their age (11 and 13 respectively) because they are not acting crazy (except for Rain©bow moments)

Moonwing (10) too is relatively mature, I mean she already runs an entire group of first cousins dedicated to insult and kill off willing planetmortals

    • Fireblaze is mature in some ways but immature in others. She’s mature because she is super determined and fair-minded, and already thinking about things a teenager wouldn’t usually be thinking about, like saving the world. However, she is very dependent on her parents to cook meals and help her with choices, and she often even asks them for things she can easily do herself out of habit. She can also be very demanding and argues easily.

Sandy and Dusty are relatively mature, especially considering how they don’t quarrel with each other and instead work as a team.

Spur, my main villain, is a relatively immature adult. He can be whiny, cowardly, and demanding.

Ron is relatively immature. He is a grown man in his forties but he doesn’t really do anything except read his newspaper. He can be irresponsible and is not good in a crisis.

Sydney is sixteen and very relatively mature. She is responsible and good at helping others.

Pip is relatively mature, considering that she’s only four and often ends up being the only one trying to make peace while her older friends argue.

  • I realized today that Basil…..doesn’t really have any skills 😛 she’s good at talking to people and is very friendly and optimistic, but other than that she’s kinda just Basil. That needs work 😛

  • Here’s the beginning of a book I’m writing about Sandy and Dusty:

      It was morning.
Sandy stretched, then looked down from the top bunk.
Her eyes fell on Dusty. The pale brown hen was still fast asleep on the bottom bunk.
Sandy and Dusty were twin sisters. They had spent the whole thirteen years of their lives together and both knew they were inseparable. Sandy and Dusty’s names weren’t the only thing about them that matched. The two hens had the same combs, the same slender build, and they always agreed on things, so apparently most of their interests were the same as well.
Leaning over the railing, Sandy gazed at the sleeping Dusty- she looked so peaceful, curled up underneath her blanket.
Sandy hated to disturb her, she really did…. but she couldn’t let her miss the morning, now could she?
With a grin, Sandy took her pillow and dropped it on her sister’s head.
Seeing that it did nothing, she climbed down the steps herself and stood over her sister.
“Dusty, wake up…” she softly murmured into her sister’s ear, “It’s a beautiful day!”
Dusty’s eyes opened and she let out a sleepy sigh but she didn’t get up, which forced Sandy to grab the pillow from the floor and hit Dusty over the head with it. “Come on, sleepy head! Come join me!”

Dusty gasped at being pulled out of sleep so abruptly, and glanced around, confused.
“Sandy…” she muttered irritably, coming to her senses. Does she really have to rush me so much?
      “What?” Sandy clucked, amused.
With a sigh, Dusty rested her head against her sister’s wing, “Good morning.”
She couldn’t stay frustrated with Sandy for long, or even more than a few seconds for that matter. The hen’s yellow eyes were shining with her usual friendliness and spirit, and Dusty knew she only woke her because she wanted her to enjoy the morning.
That said, Dusty forced herself to her feet, staggering slightly. She flashed Sandy a grateful glance as the yellow hen steadied her with an outstretched wing.

  • Okay, apparently I have found how I create OCs.

So if the OC is a relief character, there’s a higher chance that they’ll either be extremely neutral so much that they’re kinda annoying, literal jerks, or just plain annoying. Since a world full of nice and helpful peeps wouldn’t stir drama and be that fun just sitting in my brain, they’re are no nice peeps. Most of the cosmodogs and their IDK server counterparts are relief characters, but some of have been written, so they’re personalities would a lot more…pleasant. And since cosmodogs are 25% based off of astronomical bodies,

If the OC is a story character or a character I put in my stories, their personalities would vary, depending on how the words show and reflect their personality. Basically, in my vocab story thing I’m pretty much forced to write, the skeletons of Nightshade, Flowerbird, and Rainingmist’s personalities were just realist, optimist, and pessimist. That was my main target. Then Nightshade became quick-witted and calculating, Flowerbird became naive, somewhat witty, and sweet, and Rainingmist became wary and defiant. The story’s villains, Fangshade and Hawkear, pretty much don’t have an obvious personality other than EVIL EVIL.

And that’s pretty much it :P. Relief characters and story characters.

Oh yeah, and self-inserts also exist, but then I rarely use them and my only self-insert so far only has like 10% of my personality 😛

    • That’s a really cool thing to think about! 😀 Here’s how I (usually) create mine:

If the OC is a story character I want them to have a deep, flexible personality. I try to make them have an unpredictible quality and opposing traits (ex. a very gentle character who can act very hostile in a certain situation). I also try to make them flawed because overcoming their flaws makes the story more emotional. And if they are the main protagonist, I like them to have some of my qualities because it makes it easier for me to write their pov (Fireblaze is a good example of a character that has enough of my qualities to make her easy to write). I also have to love the character in order to be passionate about writing them so I try to make them relatable and likable to me.

If the OC is a relief character they are often sweet but with an annoying personality and can be kind of dumb at times. Another type of relief character I have are the ones who obsess over a certain thing (ex. Snace loves snakes; Elderberry is obsessed with her syringes and thinks they’re her pets)
Ron is a perfect example of a relief character. He’s a kind guy but is very unatentive, forgetful, and the only thing he does all day is read the news paper.
My thief OC Zita is another good relief character. She’s sneaky but often makes her plots too obvious and she loves shiny things.

If the OC is a friend character (which are OCs I make to have an imaginary friendship with. This category takes up 90% of all my OCs), then they are the type of personality I would want to know in real life. They are friendly, very kind, and many have a sense of humor. Some of them are based on people I know in real life or on characters I like from books.

I also make some OCs to fill a certain role/job. I usually just think about who would be best at doing that job, plus I try to make them unique.

    • For some of my ocs, I don’t remember how I created them 😛 most of the important ones have existed in mind for several years now, with the oldest being Simon and Ferris who first started to exist in some form when I was in 2cd grade 😛

For a lot of characters, they’ll be created to fulfill a purpose and then develop character after I start writing with them a bit. For instance, Miranda Avron. She’s the head of Security of Neomenia, and I just started thinking one day………Neomenia has really bad security 😛 then, she developed more. A woman dedicated to her job, and frustrated that other people don’t take it as seriously as she does because they believe Neomenia’s safe. Therefore, she ends up handling a lot of things herself, and is very independent and strong although she comes off a bit unkind. Lookey that, the vague idea has turned into a personality.

Sometimes, I create characters based on what I don’t want to see. For instance, Ferris’ mother is a very spirited woman, because I didn’t want her to seem like a passive character that needed defending, which given Ferris’ backstory could have easily happened.

Sage, interestingly enough, is one of the newer characters I’ve created, despite her being the main character. She was sort of following the rule I mentioned above, because before her there was an mc named Maddie, who was boringggg. Maddie was based solely off of myself, and apparently I am not a good book charecter 😛 I took what I hated about Maddie, and made Sage the opposite of those traits while keeping the ones I liked.
      -Maddie was too easily frightened
-Maddie was too nice and kinda a mary sue
So, Sage is always trying to be tough and is pretty harsh sometimes, both as a defense response to stress. However, I kept Maddie’s love of books and her quieter nature.

Also, some characters come from dreams……Archer Hiems, who is a pretty minor side character but I still love him, came from a dream I had about him riding down the isles of a grocery store in a shopping cart crashing into things while having the time of his life, but then once it was over apologizing profusely because he hadn’t realized he was upsetting people 😛

  • Short poem about Sandy and Dusty, that I wrote using their names as the first letter of each line.

Sisters close as can possibly be.
Always and constantly there for me.
Never have a quarrel, not a single fight.
Doing things together from morning until night.
You and me will stand together side by side,

    & I know I can

Depend on you. In you I can confide.
Unbreakable’s the bond we have- we never will divide.
Side by side we will always feel free.
    Together always and forever,
    You and me.

  • Aspenshade is one of my favourite OCs, because he is so stubborn and is literally a cat version of Gaston 😛 loads of cats in his Clan were in love with him but he picks the one warrior that loathes him XD he just makes me laugh.
