Hey Kate!! I’m pretty sure that you were the one to write Squirrelflight’s Hope. I also think I heard that you don’t like Squirrelflight very much. What was it like writing a Super Edition on a cat that you don’t really even care about??
I learned to like her a little more. Not much. We will never entirely be friends. She lacks charm and wit.
I see!! So you like Leafpool a bit more then??
Of course. At school, Squirrelflight would have been head girl and played hockey for the school (insert US equivalents). She’d never have given me the time of day. Leafpool would have been the emo sitting in the sixth form (insert US equivalent) common room (iUSe) with me.
Hey Kate, is there anything you can tease for this book, without spoiling the book?
No! It’s all spoilers!
Alrighty then, thanks. P.S. can I call you Cakestar?
Of course!
thanks!
glad you could work out your differences 😛
just kidding you’re amazing kateIDK Kate Squilf is the has the most charm and wit in the entirety of all of the warriors characters-
💖
Wow, I can’t wait to start TBC!!! Idk where to find it though, my library doesn’t have any of the books…
Imma wing it and look around 😀
Hey Kate. I always wondered this… how are new spirits led up to Starclan? Okay, so let me give you an example, when Firestar died does his spirit just wake and already in Starclan or does a spirit lead it to the stars? If so, do they go to the Moonpool to do that or what? I’m soooo confused : /
A spirit leads it up to the stars I think. Ex: When Bluestar died, Oakheart came to her to take her up to the starts. They do not need to go to the Moonpool.
I have a theory for what will happen in the last The Broken Code book. Here it is:
Shadowsight, fed up with the disrespect all the other Clan cats are giving him, snaps and becomes the antagonist of the last book, planning to corrupt and enslave all of StarClan like Ashfur did to the ghosts so that everybody will finally stop using him and treating him like dirt. The Clan cats realize that they are responsible for pushing Shadowsight over the edge, so they decide to apologize to him for treating him so poorly. They get through to Shadowsight with their apologies, and the medicine cat, finally feeling all the love that everyone is giving him despite previously being hated by, well, everyone, breaks down in the embrace of his loved ones. He himself later apologizes for antagonizing the Clans and trying to carry out what Ashfur started, moving on to start a close relationship with his grand uncle Bramblestar, who might end up in a different body.
(Wouldn’t that be poetic, at least for the Warrior Cats series?)
I honestly would love that! Shadowsight honestly deserves an apology for everyone, and this would be a huge, amazing, and MASSIVE twist in the storyline! I can also see Root and Bristle coming into play here, maybe being the ones to calm him down and get him to listen to the others!
I think I shouldn’t be here because I’m only on TPoTs but……
TPoT was amazing! and I’m here even tho I’m only on OoTS
I know right!
That would be great. I think that warriors should have another character who switches sides. Also, I have always thought that there should be and evil medicine cat. There’s never bean one before ( Unless you include Goosefeather).
My question kinda vanished so I’m gonna ask again lol(I can’t find it published or still waiting for approval)
Kate, what’s Rootspring’s eye color? On the cover on The Silent Thaw they’re blue but in Darkness Within they’re described as green…
I keep getting it wrong. I’m pretty sure it’s amber…but I might be wrong!
Oh no…let’s hope this doesn’t become another “Dovewings eye color” war
Dont get me wrong but i want Ashfur to win for once. Im kinda honestly getting tired of the clans constantly winning these problems. I think its time to have Ashfur win and get rid of some cats forever.
Yep.
maybe
I think the clans should win one last time, then next time they lose.
Yeah, It’d be nice if the clans were destroyed, and then, 3 unexpected cats-a ghost, Loner, and Tribe cat (perhaps feather) find the remaining clan cats, and build the clans back up.
He kinda has already won. At least done some damage. He caused like 10+ deaths, SOOOOOOOO much tension between the Clans (exiles, and what not), and Mistystar is probably now the worst cat in the Clans. If you compare to other villains, he’s done a lot,
I think that this should be the end of Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight. They’ve bean around for too long.
I knew it was ash fur in darkness within
(Though some people thought it was hawkfrost witch is stupid because he is dead dead
It probably isn’t stupid, these are just good guesses 🙂
Hey, don’t refer to people as ‘stupid!’ It isn’t very nice.
And He Runs
Y’all better treat Shadowsight better! Our poor boy has suffered hecking brain damage from seizures and lightning strikes only to be treated as garbage by everyone!
(also please give us more Root and Shadow interactions so that us shippers have more cute scenes to draw)
i mean… i do like that ship but i do ship bristleroot b-but I..
yes I agree
Y’all. I think that that grey cat with blue eyes says it all.
It’s totally Ashfur. Am I supposed to be looking at this Spoier Page if I’m on TPoTs then? No, probably not. 🙂
Wait, but Spotfur is also a gray cat with blue eyes!
just kidding. I already know that Ash is the impostor.Hi, Kate! I have a question for you again, this time about Needleclaw. Do you know if Needleclaw will ever have a reveal of Sister Powers at all? It kinda bugs me that not only do the toms born in the Sisters have more abilities than the females, but the sister of Rootspring doesn’t get anything interesting at all. I think it would be kinda interesting if she would try to play it off as nothing important to tell anyone about, and that could be why she’s acting so aggressively towards the idea of RootxBristle being a thing. I would be pretty irritated too if gross dead Berrynose was whispering in my ear while I did stuff.
I agree that Needleclaw should get her share of Sister power too! Perhaps she will in future. But there’s only room enough of so much action/plot per series and we made Bristlefrost a lead character in this arc.
Maybe she should meet her namesake…
I think since we are not getting a Blurb for A Light In The Mist yet, I really think a lot will go down in The Place Of No Stars.
I think that’s Kate’s reason for not having a Blurb along with A Light In The Mist’s cover and title reveal last month.
Yea that would make sense
The Place of No Stars is probably going to end on another cliffhanger.
Yes, I think it will. I think it will end with the Clans knowing finally the cause of StarClan’s silence and also them finally knowing what to do to bring StarClan back from the Darkness. The cliffhanger would set the stage for the finale, The Broken Code #6: A Light In The Mist. I can wait to see if there’s a Super edition, Novella or Manga in between A Light In The Mist and Arc 8’s first book.
Heya! So, yesterday, I was thinking of Flipclaw. Will he ever see Feather again? I loved Flipclaws and Feathers friendship! It’d be sad if they never saw each other again.
We know what the would say… W.A.S.
*spoiler alert* I think that in the place of no stars the reason ashfur took squirrelflight to the dark forest was bc that’s were bramblestar is and he’s going to hurt her in the worst way possible by killing her mate who she loves the most and at the same time is hurting him by taking him away from squirrelflight bc ashfur is jealous of bramblestar and hates squirrelflight
Yeah!
Hey Kate, do you know if we’re going to see more Ivypool and Fernsong family dynamics? We got a bit of their relationship to their kits in the first book, but other than that it kinda just turns into another situation where the parents don’t interact with their kits at all. If anything, I think Rootspring and Shadowsight have had more parent interactions than Bristlefrost, which is odd considering that Fernsong is the first canon example of a nursery dad (I think) and him and Ivypool having kits at all was an important scene! We should have more wholesome family stuff!
I was hoping we’d linger on the stay-at-camp dad more, but the storyline powered on ahead I’m afraid, so we will just have to fill in the gaps with fanfic.
can do
