Hi Kate! I was wondering, how come that the Clans never have experienced fireworks? With New Year’s Eve for example, they live pretty close to Twolegs, so I think they should be able to see and maybe even hear them.
That’s an interesting question. I suppose they would.
But I tend to view the Warriors world as a place without twolegs. The editorial team bring twolegs into the stories, but I find twolegs a tedious distraction from warrior-life – like being interrupted by a phone call when I’m playing video games. Having to describe warrior reactions to twoleg action bores and irritates me. (Like stopping to translate a section into a foreign language with footnotes explaining cultural differences. While I can see how it would add interest and richness to the text, ultimately I feel it distracts from the flow of the characters and storyline) It seems to turn the cats into secondary characters in a human drama. I want Warriors to exist entirely in their own bubble, with human beings more like annoying mosquitoes.

For the past three weeks, I’ve ben writing and rewriting one chapter a day. That’s pretty exhausting. Usually, I aim to write and rewrite three chapters a week. It’s more sustainable.

now flywhisker’s a kittypet, we need some cat to be Flipclaw’s mate! i think him and finchpaw. i know she’s still young but maybe when she is older? she stands up for what she thinks is right and was always on the rebel’s side. i think these two would be really cute together, although they are related but so loosely it doesn’t matter.

I agree! I wish we got to see more of the young cats’ personalities in this arc, like Finchpaw and Flamepaw, and even some of the young warriors like Eaglewing, Honeyfur, etc.
honestly I prefer if Flipclaw just doesn’t get a mate after what happened with Flywhisker and Feather
Tbh, I think Finchpaw is Spottedleaf’s reincarnation! She was born not to long after Spotted’s death and they look almost identical. They also kind of have the same kind and loyal personality too!

Are there any ideas about the protagonists and plot yet or is everyone still brainstorming ideas? I always get excited when it comes to new arcs, I always get so excited to meet the new protagonists, I’m personally hopeful for a RiverClan protagonist this time around.
Still brainstorming. I have total faith in the editorial team (henceforth known as EdClan) to come up with another awesome storyline.
(Also, you will LOVE Leopardstar’s Honour. Is she redeemed? I hope you’re excited to find out.)

Hey Kate! I have a question about BrambleStar! Do you like him at all? I think hes kinda abusive to SquirrelFlight and ignorant.
He was only abusive in one book. I’m still not sure why. Let’s just accept that he zigged off the path for a moment, zagged straight back on it, and put it behind us. I like him better now but he’s still not quirky enough for me. I prefer the nerdy emo kids to the cheerleaders. Perhaps because I was one. I can’t get rid of the feeling that Bramble and Squirrel would have mocked me at school for being awkward.

Been rereading the New Prophecy and I realized how I totally loved Bramblestar when he was a warrior. I just don’t want him to die although he’s presumably dead now…Also it makes me sad to see Squirrelflight sad and stuck with Ashfur. She deserves much better than the situation she’s in.
