I think Tigerstar would call poor Shadowsight weak and easily manipulated (cause, you know: IT’S TIGERSTAR), Firestar would encourage Bristlefrost to follow her heart and also be loyal to her clan, which would confuse the heck out of her, and Root would just vibe with Rootspring and they’d both make fun of Tree for a bit.

For other interactions, I can see Pinestar, Goldenflower, and Dawnpelt, the nicer parts of Shadowsight’s ancestors, giving him a lot of love and praising him. I’m not sure if Rootspring would take interest in his other ancestors because he sees plenty of ghosts and they’d just be other ghosts to him, though he’d probably get along just swell with Needletail (pseudo-aunt?). And I think Bristlefrost would interact well with Sorretail, her great grandmother, or her distant cousin Hollyleaf, whom I think she is very similar to!
Ok, I need to go write these down now, Sorreltail telling Bristlefrost how awesome it is to love someone is too cute to forget!

Hey, I posted this on another page. At the end of DW, there’s a screech of pain from the ShadowClan camp…but in TPoNS, no one gets hurt. Who was it?
I wondered about that too. I was worried about Shadowsight, but he ended up fine. I suppose it could have been a screech of anger from Lionblaze or someone?

When you and the other authors were writing the Power of Three series, did you plan everything from the beginning? Like, putting Squirrelflight in the nursery with her “kits” and referring to her and Brambleclaw as the Three’s mother and father much more often than in AVoS(to subconsciously convince everyone?)and Leafpool and Crowfeather acting all weird and awkward except that Crowfeather was acting odd because of the Leafpool-Crowfeather Incident and Leafpool was acting strange and defending them not just because they’re her sister’s kits, not just because of the Leafpool-Crowfeather Incident, but because they were her actual kits.
And I’m not really sure where I was going with this, and I don’t think that was all correct grammar either.
But, after Long Shadows, did you like imagining the reaction of the Warriors fans? Did you plan everything?
Some stuff we plan, and some just evolves from the characters and action – I can’t remember which though!
I think the Erins planned to make Hollyleaf, Jayfeather and Lionblaze Leafpool and Crowfeather’s kits from the beginning as it was stated early on in The Sight that Squirrelflight never lactated even though she supposedly gave birth to the trio. Furthermore, when Jayfeather (Then Jaypaw) Journeyed into StarClan one time he overheard some warrior ancestors discussing weather or not they should tell him the truth about something. That scene took place before Long Shadows. The aforementioned revelation was a reference to the ideinites regarding Jayfeather, Hollyleaf and Lionblaze’s true parents.
And Hollyleaf was originally intended to be the prophesied third cat. However Vicky couldn’t figure out which super power would be appropriate for the latter so Dovewing subsequently took Hollyleaf’s place. While the Fire scene regarding Ashfur making and attempt on Squirrelflight and “her” kits lives was planned from the beginning.
