Here’s aAU/theory I thought of!
I think this would be a pretty interesting book!!

So, you remember Sky/skywatcher from Firestars quest? Do you remember when he mentioned that his littermate, Twig, became a kittypet? Well, in this book, it was stated many times That Sky was old… and what other cat do we know, that was very old, and used to be a kittypet?
Yes.
Purdy.
In this au/theory, Purdy is Sky’s brother, and that’s why he is so old. When he Meets sol, and sol talks about the clans, purdy has a strong connection to sol, since Sky loved SkyClan so much, and sol coming from the clan reminds him of his brother.
This is why he gets so defensive of sol when sol is accused of killing ashfur, because he doesn’t want to lose sol to the clans just like he lost his brother.
Eventually sol leaves, as we know it, and purdy is considering to go look for him. But then, his brothers spirit appears, and convinces Purdy to stay in the clan. Staying in the clan reminds Purdy of sol and Sky, and in a good way
Sky is there for Purdy when he dies, and then he and Purdy can finally be together, in the stars
