Some people may wonder why others love Ivypool so much. Maybe you are one of those people, here to seek some answers for your curious mind.
I both love Ivypool and wonder why she’s people’s number one favorite. My favorite character is Jayfeather, but I think that Ivypool has a nice character as well. I have some thoughts in mind on why Ivypool is super cool, so I decided to share them here. Please note that the listed items below might not be the reason why people love Ivypool, but I thought to share this with BlogClan for those who wonder the same as me.

1- She was jealous of her sister. As Ivypaw, this young she-cat envies her sister, Dovewing (Dovepaw at that time). Dovepaw can catch prey easily and sense it more than a mile away. Ivypaw, not knowing her sister was granted this special power from StarClan, tries to become a better apprentice. You may wonder how this effects people’s love for Ivypool. I, too, would be confused, but let me explain.
People who love Ivypool feel bad for Ivypaw and wish she felt better about her sister. They think, Poor Ivypaw. If only she knew about the prophecy and stuff like that. They feel bad for Ivypaw. That may be one reason why they love her: They wish she felt better.

2- She was tricked by the Dark Forest. Ivypaw, blinded by her jealousy, trains with Hawkfrost in the Dark Forest to become a better apprentice. She does not care about what the others say about him; she just wants a better life. This causes people to feel bad for her, just like in the first example I mentioned: they wish she felt better.

3- She wasn’t trusted by her clanmates. After they found out about Ivypool’s training in the Dark Forest, many cats didn’t trust her. She wasn’t respected much anymore. Many Ivypool fans felt sorry for her, like me. Ivypool just wanted to be loved!
(P.S. luckily, she became deputy of ThunderClan later in Warrior Cats!)

4- She has scars. This might not be why people love her, but I believe that characters look cool with scars. After training in the Dark Forest, she earned many scars as the cats there would train with claws unsheathed!

5- She has a nice character development. The way Ivypool acts and thinks also effects how people love her. Some people (sadly) don’t love Jayfeather because of his grumpy attitude. Some people don’t like Sol because he acts like a know-it-all and evil (sorry to the people who love Sol – I didn’t mean to be rude). I personally think Ivypool acts and thinks with caution, respect, and responsibility. That’s what anyone wants in a ThunderClan deputy – and in any cat.

I hope you found this article useful and entertaining. Enjoy your day!
