      Backstory: Sunnybranch was first found as a kit with her mother Shard, who was looking for a new place to live after her Twoleg moved away. Sunnybranch was a sickly kit then, and she needed help in order to survive. Shard was hit by a monster during her search for a better place to live, and the abandonded Sunnybranch was found by Riverclan and taken in, where she was nursed back to health. She grew up with admiration about how medicine cats took care of the clan, and later became apprenticed to the medicine cat Smallbriar.
