  • Lazuli crept through the abandoned city. It was dawn, but it was still dark. Being alone in the heart of the city even in the day time is quite dangerous. She had told cats to past on her news about the expedition to the outside world and to meet up at the giant tower at the heart of the city. She was worried and excited at the same time. Will anyone come? she wondered stepping into the building.

    • Amethyst finally found the building that Slasher told her to meet at. I hope this Lazuli cat is actually there. Amethyst thought. She crept inside the building, aware of the danger, but excited at what she could find. “Lazuli?” Amethyst called

    • Xael padded through the city reluctantly, not wanting to run into any members of her former gang. She spotted the giant tower and hurried her pace. After entering the cavernous building, they noticed a smaller she-cat waiting there, who was looking quite anxious. Xael quietly analyzed her, concluding that she didn’t look like much of a threat, and decided to walk over to the strange she-cat.

    • Lynx paused at the large doorway of the tall tower, her heart pounding nervously. Shifting her paws, she padded inside cautiously, and mewed softy,”Anyone in here?”

              • Lazuli concentrated on a small speck of lint and picked it up just a couple inches and quickly dropped it. “Like that,” she said. “Many cats from here have powers. One of the elders who had plant and healing powers helped me discover mine a moons ago and told me that you can have water and ice powers, nature and healing, air and telekinesis, fire and electric and last but not least shadow and dark. “

                • (I assume because you never said otherwise I have plant and healing powers, if not, disregard this)
Amethyst narrowed her eyes, trying to remember if she had ever experienced something that could be explained by having powers. “I remember once…I ummmmm…had a drink with another cat. That other cat got sick, but I didn’t. Could that be a sign of having powers? Also, there was a sick cat, and some herbs that were almost fully grown but it wouldn’t grow for a while, but when I slept near them they became fully grown the next day. Could those be signs of powers?”

                • “Oh yes! You probably have plant and healing powers. Its really hard for you to get sick and you can coax a plant to grow faster. I heard that cats with plant powers could spit venom and talk to other animals. Oh imagine talking to rats!! I discovered my power when I fell off one of the shorter twoleg dens and I kinda floated down instead of crashing down. And guess what, cats with air powers can get wings and fly! I think I’ll look weird with wings though…..” Lazuli meowed excitedly. “Am I talking too much? Cats always tell me I talk too much,”

                • Amethyst shook her head. “Oh course you don’t talk too much!” She meowed happily, overjoyed at the fact she had powers. “This is amazing!” She meowed, jumping into the air with glee. “I can’t believe I have powers!”

    • 🌊🌼Gracey in the Dasies🌼🌊~The Gracey-est cat in the history of cats~ (Gracepaw/Gracesplash/Gracey/Gracie/Gracey/Grace) Member of CheckerClan and the dreaded Apprentice Army! says:

Wolfrunner licked her paws, making sure they were sleek and fluffy. She glanced out of the corner of her eye at the building; a dark, drab gray place with almost no comfortable sittting spots. Lazuli was a white she-cat with small, different shades of silver spots, and pretty, for a fact. But she looked harmless; how could she be the one who sounded so convincing? The one with the light gray fur and mane, with gleaming aquamarine eyes, like hers? He looked a lot like he could be her father; after all, she had a splotch of pale gray on her hind leg. The other four, Amethyst, Xael, Lynx, and Terra, were… interesting. Xael and Terra radiated power; just what Wolfrunner didn’t need. Lynx and Amethyst were more to her liking, although Amethyst was similar to Lazuli. She didn’t make a move to go join the chattering cats; she would wait. That was how her life had always been; constructed around patience.

  • Lazuli grew serious. ” Are you sure you want to come? There can be anything out there. The cats passing by could be lying about this wonderful place. There is a chance you risk going for nothing. But if this paradise is out there, we can change everything. Imagine biting into a piece of prey without worrying about it poisoning you or drinking water that won’t melt your insides. Imagine the ground being green and giant towers of wood we can climb. Water would be clear, the sky a brilliant blue. Stone hills that touch the sky! All kinds of different delicious prey!” Lazuli exclaimed, her eyes shining.

    • Amethyst looked around, feeling like she heard something, but not being able to know what it was. “Did any of you hear something?” She asked.

    • Xael turned around, and spotted a she-cat staying hidden in the shadows. “Are you going to stay in there, or are you going to join us?” she asked dryly. Turning back to the others, she mewed, “It’s just a cat.”

      • Amethyst gasped quietly in relief. “Thank goodness.” She meowed. “I thought it might have been rats.”

        • Amethyst instinctively took a couple steps back. “My name is Amethyst.” She meowed hesitantly.

        • Lazuli gasped, “You’re Terra….” She recognized her from stories elders used to tell her when she was a kit. They told her that Terra killed for fun and ate kits with a side of rat bile. Those are just rumors and stories, she told herself. ” Oh I heard about you before,” she meowed, forcing a purr. ” I’m Lazuli um…..It’s a nice that you want to join us.”

          • “O-oh she’s…joining us.” Amethyst meowed hesitantly. She gulped, knowing she should judge this cat before getting to know her. “H-hi. It’s Terra, right?”

              • “Ummmm…my name is Amethyst, but i-if you want you can call me Amy.” She meowed, still terrified, glancing at Terra’s bloodstained paws and shifting closer to Lazuli.

              • “I’m Lazuli,” Lazuli said, confidently. “I’m the one who came up with this idea. And the cat who asked was Amethyst. If I remember correctly she told you her name a couple seconds ago. Also you shouldn’t be wasting prey. Rabbits are hard to come by these days.” Lazuli paused, realizing what she just said. Oh Lazuli, can’t you just shut your big mouth, do you really want to be killed, she told herself, silently panicking.

                • Amethyst glanced at Lazuli, amazed at how she could talk so confidently to such a terrifying cat. I’ll have to be that brave if I want to pull my weight on the journey. Amethyst realized.

                • (Oh wow time to roleplay for my first time in ages 😛 )
Ty wondered in quietly, not wanting to draw to much attention to himself or wanting to interrupt what seemed like quite an awkward situation. He sat down behind the group of cats and watched with intrigue

                • Amethyst looked at the ginger tom Lazuli was walking over to and felt happy that there would be another cat coming on the journey-if he was-that wasn’t terrifying. “Hello!” She meowed.

    • “I-I’m sorry…” Amethyst meowed, dropping the rat in her mouth. “You two should eat this.” She meowed as she pushed the rat to Lazuli and Terra. “I owe you so much more, but it’s the least I could do.”

      • “Calm down Terra,” Lazuli meowed, sharply. “I’m just saying maybe we could of hunted more stealthy instead of yelling for the rats to kill us. Lazuli turned to Amethyst, “Amethyst, you eat that rat. You don’t owe us anything. Besides, I ate some already and I’m a small cat. I don’t need as much food.”

        • Amethyst looked over to Terra. “You have it then.” She meowed, pushing the rat to her. “And I saw the rat you ate, that thing barely even had a scrap of meat on it.” She looked over to the rat. “It was my fault we didn’t get more, my fault we had to run. I don’t deserve it. I’m not that hungry anyways.”

    • Amethyst looked down at the orange-tinted water.”The bridge.” Amethyst responded instantly. “Anything but that.” She gestured with her tail towards the water (oooooooohhhh my gggooossshhhh that’s beautiful!)

        • (Amethyst)
Amethyst walked forward, determined now to show how scared she was. It was a huge struggle to keep her paws from trembling, especially when she accidentally put her paw through a tiny hole in the bridge. It seemed to go on forever, and it seemed to get even longer once she looked down a hole to see the steep drop into the orange-tinted water.

          • Lazuli took a quick glance over the edge. She squealed and jumped back to the center of the bridge. “Ok this is absolutely horrifying, but don’t you feel something right now just on the crumbling bridge feeling wind hit your pelt. Its kinda awesome….”
(Your roleplay seems so interesting! I just said something on it. Also I’m going to change Lazuli’s fears a lit bit. I’m going take away her being seen as a coward fear and add in being underground

            • “I don’t think so…” Amethyst trailed off. “The wind just makes me feel off balance…” She shook out her fur as if by doing that she could stop the wind. “I hope nothing bad happens…” She meowed, wishing she could just bound across the bridge.

(awwww thank you! I worked really hard on making it so I’m glad you think it’s interesting!)

                • “I’m good!” Amethyst called, trying to walk faster but still trying to avoid holes. She winced as her paws scraped against the hard surface, but injuries like those never seemed to hurt for long, so she kept going. “I don’t want to drag you down a hole if I fall!” Amethyst joked.

                • (Amethyst)
Amethyst paused for a moment. Lazuli was right. “It is…” Amethyst meowed. She looked around. “Will we have to turn back?” She felt herself shiver as she imagined trying to swim through the water below the bridge. “There must be a way to cross this…”

                • “Ummmm…maybe we shouldn’t do that?” Amethyst meowed, after shivering a little. “If there’s a chance anyone could die from it…I don’t want to risk it. Plus, how would you get across? Can you do that to yourself?”

                • “Hello!” Amethyst meowed to Luna, glad to get a distraction from their problem. “I do have powers! My name’s Amethyst, but you can call me Amy!”

                • Um… I think if you have nature powers you could call vines to cover up the hole or something like that.

                • (Amethyst)
“I wish I could.” Amethyst sighed. “But I barely know how to use my powers, and there are no vines to grow. Even if there were it would take far to long to grow them.”

                • Icicle followed the cats. They seemed harmless. She had to make sure they didn´t hurt her tho. Maybe, she could just follow them to paridise and then take the paridise all for herself and maybe that Ttera girl would be a nice friend. She hid behind an icicle blending her white pelt into some snow on the bridge, she crouched carefully looking down at the orange-tinted water, she could swim, yes, but the water was orange, she wasn´t sure it was safe. She hoped these cats hadn´t seen her, she didn´t like when cats judged her just off of stupid, weak, dumb, Elder’stories. Her stomoch grumbled a bit and she hissed in anoyannce, She froze hoping they hadn´t heard her stomach or hiss.

                • Maybe we could go a different way?” Then Luna heard a hiss from the bridge. what was that? whos there? ”H-Hello,anyone there?” She stutters

                • Icicle watched as a cat flew over a hole. Hmph, probably air powers, She thought. She didn´t answer when a cat stuttered H-h-hello, anyone there

  • Lazuli glanced down, hearing something. Probably nothing, she thought. “Welp, if there’s no other way, I’ll try to fly over. Wish me luck. I’ll try not to die.” Lazuli clenched her muscles and gritted her teeth. She floated up and drifted over. She dropped herself a little too early and had to use her paws to grab the bridge and pull herself up. “I made it!” Lazuli gasped.

    • “Wow!” Amethyst meowed, her eyes lighting up. “You did so well!” For a moment, she stopped talking, but soon said, “Once you rested, it seems like our only option is for you to carry us over.” She inhaled sharply, to prepare herself for what she was about to say. “Once you’ve rested…could you carry me over?”

                • Amethyst felt as if her heart would stop when Lazuli started lifting Luna over. She trusted Lazuli, but she was terrified as Luna unnaturally hovered over the gap.

                • (Amethyst)
“Rest.” She meowed. “I can’t believe that you’re able to do that!” She’d never seen powers being used to that extent before. “When you’re all rested, I’ll go next.” She sat down. “But make sure you rest first.” She meowed again, making sure her point was heard.

                • “I might drop you,” Lazuli meowed, lifting her face from the ground. She lifted herself from the ground and found a small piece of vine. “Be ready to grow some vines if I do.” She concentrated and lifted Amethyst a little bit. Lazuli started to bring Amy over, but halfway, she felt like her head was going to burst.

                • How am I gonna get over? Icicle thought paniking a little. She hissed at the cats again wondering if they smart enough to find her.

                • Icicle chuckled a bit as the air cat dropped the cat she was carrying across. Hmmmm, at least she has ears, Icicle thought gruffly.

                • (Amethyst)
She was falling. She felt the feeling in her stomach she had only felt twice before. Once when her mother came back with the body of a dead cat, covered in rat bites, and a second time when a sick cat had succumbed to their disease. It was the feeling, that she knew then and now, that she was going to die. Her paw instinctively reached out towards a vine, but no matter what she did, even though she used up energy until she couldn’t feel her paws anymore, it barely grew. I’m going to die. Suddenly, she crashed. I’m sorry. Was her last thought before a darkness engulfed her vision.

(she’s not dead, just knocked out and will be dead if she’s not pulled out)

                • “Oh fuzz,” Lazuli muttered as she saw Amethyst fall and hit the water. “Is she dead?” She meowed, calmly. Lazuli suddenly snapped out of her half conscious state and jumped up, “Omigoddd,” she yelled. “What do we do? She looked around wildly and saw a white cat by the bridge. “Can you help her!” she meowed, panicking.

                • Icicle looked at the cat. Was she talking to her??? I think she is talking to me, she thought uncertaintly. “How do you want me to help?” she asked in a challenging tone. Oh crap, I hope this cat doesn’t recognize me from one of those stupid elder stories. They make it sound like I am the worst cat that ever lived, she dug her claws into the ground.

                • “I don’t know!” Lazuli cried, hysterically. “Do want me to jump into the water after her? Do you want her to drown and die?” Lazuli looked closer at the white cat. “Hey aren’t you that cat who enjoys drinking kit’s blood?” she asked, calm for a second. Just a second later she become nuts again. “Do something unless you want to watch a cat DIE!” Lazuli meowed. “Unless she’s already dead from impact!” She jumped around, not sure what to do. “Just try to get her out of the water!” Lazuli shouted, sane again. Lazuli ran to the other side of the bridge and began walking down to the water.

                • “Calm down Lazuli,we will get her out of there no matter what. Maybe I can lift the shadows and we can see her

                • “Why should I help you?” Icicle snarled. “You know, you two really arn’t the best swimmers,” Icicle snarled looking at the three cats. “You know, if anyone saw you, they would think all three of you were drowning,” Icicle cackled.

                • (Amethyst)
Amethyst blinked her eyes open. She expected to feel pain, to feel agony. To cough up mouthful upon mouthful of horrible water. But she felt nothing. It was almost worse then feeling pain. Am I dead? She thought. Not yet my precious little gemstone. She heard another voice in her head. She turned around to see a beautiful calico pelt behind her. Mother! She cried with glee, somehow without even saying a word. But that couldn’t be right. How could she see her mother if she wasn’t dead. How am I here? She asked. You’ve had a bad fall, you could have died. Her mother sighed. Look. Amethyst looked down to see Lazuli and Luna helping her out of the water. Then she continued her gaze, and she saw a white cat staring on, doing nothing. She was laughing! Amethyst turned back to her mother. When will I go back? She asked. Soon. Her mother promised, but there was a hint of doubt in her gaze. Will I really be fine? She wondered.

                • “Thanks a lot white kitty. You are so cool just standing there and doing nothing” Lazuli meowed sarcastically, glaring at Icicle. “Maybe the elders’ stories are true. That you’re just a mean old kitty who likes drinking cat’s blood.” She turned back to Amy and started pressing her chest, trying to get out the water.

                • “My name’s not white kitty!” Icicle snapped. Icicle glared back at the she-cat. “I know i’m cool but what are you?” Icicle retorted. Icicle snorted in amusment, ” you really are stupid, huh? Who drinks cat’s blood and likes it?” “Plus, if you didn’t even know the cat, would you help them?” “Second, you’re going to need my help to get where your going, you’re all puny.” ” You can thank me later.” “Who do you think you are?” she creamed angrily. “If you don’t want my help, I could always find good territory by myself, or eat all of you,” she snapped joking. She cackled evily and thrashed her tail. “And if you think I am weak, because of my blind eye, you better all think again!”

                • “I’m Lazuli, maybe I’m stupid, a psychopath like you, yes if someone’s dying, I don’t think i’m puny, again I’m Lazuli, I don’t think you should eat us and I never said you were weak.” Lazuli meowed answering all Icicle’s remarks and questions without looking at her. Lazuli turned around and glared at Icicle, “If you want to join us, you better learn to shut your mouth and treat us with respect. Stop your little tough guy act. If you can’t do that, good luck fending for yourself.” she meowed, calmly.

                • “Your not cool. You are just standing there like an idiot while our friend is nearly drowning. If you think that’s cool then your the stupid one.” Luna said to Icicle angrily.

                • Icicle turned to another she-cat. She hissed gruchily. “She’s not my friend!” “And I am way cooler then you!” Icicle spat empathisizing the word way. “You know who’s the stupid one? You!” Icicle snarled. “Now go run back to your mommy little kitty,” Icicle cood. She glared at everyone.

                  (Man, she is horrible! XD)

                • “So are joining us?” Lazuli meowed. “I think I can tolerate you.” She smirked, “But I guess a cat who thinks she’s way cooler than I rest of us should be hanging out with other cool cats. You know doing cool stuff like insulting others and saying how cool they are.” Lazuli pressed Amy’s chest again trying to get out water. Lazuli grabbed air from the air and send it into Amy’s mouth. “Now cool cat, are you going to help or are you going to stand around saying your empty threats,”

                • (Amethyst)
Amethyst felt a sharp pain in her chest and started coughing, and she blinked her eyes open to see Lazuli sending air down her throat. She coughed up water, moving her head to the side so she didn’t cough water onto herself. “Mom?” Amethyst asked, dazed. Soon she came back around and saw the cats standing around her. She tried to get to her paws, but she couldn’t do much other then move her neck around. “Where am I?” She asked.

                • “I’ll join you,” Icicle said coolly.”I can tolerate you.” She smirked back. “But if your gonna make stupid remarks most cats won’t want to hang around you. There are new cool cats at this dump.” She walked up to the cat who had fallen, sighing. “Name’s Icicle. I’ll help your friend, but only if you let me travel with, BECAUSE I HATE IT HERE!” She walked closer to almost dead cat and Lazuli. She sighed. I wish I could have friends, but no one ever likes me, Mother and Father showed that when they threw me into the lake, pain throbbed in her chest, but she tried to hide. I’ve become cold ever since, haven’t I? But I need to survive, these cats don’t understand what i’ve been thorough, no one ever does. She sighed again, wanting to scream and howl out her pain. She clawed a rock under her angrily.

                • (Amethyst)
“Who is this?” Amethyst asked, looking at the white cat. She knew who it was, but she wanted to hear it from Lazuli. This is the cat who stood there laughing when I was about to die. That was all she needed to know. How could Lazuli let that cat come with us?

                • “Icicle,” Lazuli answered. “a.k.a cool cat or white kitty. Hobbies are insulting other cats, hurting other cats and saying that she’s so much cooler than the rest of rest. Though that might be because she’s sad and insecure. And she’s coming with us to find the Light.” Even though she sounded confident, she was worried. What if she hurts us? Lazuli thought. Or kills us in our sleep? Or say she’s cool the whole trip? She looked at the others, “I can tolerate her stinking personality, but do you guys want her to join?”

                • (Amethyst)
“If you are.” Amethyst narrowed her eyes, trying to look menacing but failing horribly as she was sprawled out on her back. “Can someone help me up?” She asked. “Not sure I can feel my paws.” That was a lie. She could feel them, but she seriously wished she couldn’t it hurt like crazy.

                • “I can’t” Icicle said more softly, “you don’t want my help, i’ll just stay back here well Lazuli helps you,” Icicle meowed.

                • “I’ll help you Amy.” Luna said as she started helping her up. “Can I come too? I know we just met,but there is no place for me in the city.”

                • “I’ll come,” she meowed sighing a little. “But, I won’t trust right away, you may earn my trust later.”

                • (Amethyst)
After Luna helped her to her paws, she tried walking. Immediately she regretted it, as putting her paw down sent ripples of pain down her. “I can walk.” Amethyst lied through gritted teeth.

                • (Amethyst)
”Sure.” Amethyst meowed. “I’ll try to plant some.” She limped over to the dirt patch. It hurt terribly, but she tried not to show her pain. It smelled foul but it was better then nothing. She turned around and felt a new instinct she placed her paws on some of the bruises she could reach, and she sent some energy into them. They didn’t go completely, and most of the pain didn’t even come from the bruises, but they faded the slightest bit, and any form of relief was good enough for her.

                • “How do I do that?” Icicle muttered feeling a bit helpless. She stared at her paws, “no one likes to teach me things, they seem to think i’ll kill them. Also, can we hunt? I’m starving!”

                • “How would I know.” Amethyst muttered. “And we just hunted.”

                • ”Yup, that’s Marigold.” Amethyst confirmed. “Good for stopping infection.” Amethyst went to where Lazuli planted the marigold seed and started sending energy into it. “It would be nice if we could find some dandelion or something…” She mumbled.

                • “It’s far to dangerous. We can’t just be splitting up.” Amethyst meowed immediately. “Besides, it’s not that important.”

                • “It’s a lot more then just bruises.” Amethyst meowed, gritting her teeth against another wave of pain. “I can’t be sure, but I think I might have broken something in the fall.”

                • “It’s fine.” Amethyst meowed. No it’s not. Her mind hissed back. She saw a tiny sprout of the the marigold sprout poke out of the ground.

                • Luna~
There was an weird silence between Icicle and herself. She didn’t really know how to start a conversation. “ So um… what can you do with you’re powers?” She finally said.

                • Amethyst shrugged, ignoring Lazuli so she wouldn’t accidentally say something bad, and turned to Icicle. She really wished she didn’t shrug, though, because it sent waves of pain down herself. “I can heal things-barely, and I should be able to grow plants faster.” She glared at the still-hanging vines dangling from the bridge. “We’ve seen how well that works.”

                • “Uhhhhh….” said Icicle, “I don’t really know. Do any of you know anything about ice and water powers?”

                • (Amethyst)
“I’m fine.” Amethyst hissed, lashing her tail to prove it even though just moving it hurt like fire. I can’t show weakness in front of that cat. She thought as her gaze drifted to Icicle.

                • I don’t think she, she looked Amethyst smugly. she scowled angrily, like me much, but I really don’t care! She laughed evily, not relising she did it outloud. The other’s seem okay, maybe even we could become friends…..was that too much to ask???

                • (Amethyst)
“Are you sure we can trust her?” Amethyst whispered to Lazuli. “I know I said she could come along, but I think we should keep an eye on her.” Amethyst cleared her throat. “I think it’s time we get moving again.” She meowed, looking over to Lazuli, them to the others. “What do you think?”

                • Luna~
“I wonder where Wynn is. I hope he is safe and warm.” Luna mumbled to herself. The thought of him made her homesick. But she is a loner now, or she was a loner. Now she has these cats that can hopefully become friends.

                • Luna~
“Wynn is my brother. He taught me how to control my powers.”

                • “I mean she must.” Amethyst meowed softly. Amethyst could hear the homesickness in her voice, and, swallowing her pain, she walked over and gave Luna a swift lick on the ear before going back and continuing to grow the plant.

                • Luna~
“I do,but I had to leave him.” She answered Lazuli.

                • “Maybe you’ll see him again.” Amethyst meowed softly. She desperately wished she still had family to see. The thought of her mother made her heart ache. “I’m sure you will.”

                • Luna~
“Maybe, but now I have you and Lazuli and Icicle!” She exclaimed
