Hi! 🙂
Turtle 🐢
Hi, Turtle! 🙂
So how’d you realize Honeyfern was your favorite Warriors cat?
Turtle 🐢
Good question! 🙂
When Sorreltail’s kits were first introduced, I thought Honeykit was a cute name- I had no idea Honey was a prefix they used until then. She became my favorite of the kits, but she wasn’t my favorite Warrior cat yet since I didn’t know much about her.
In Power of Three, I found out Sandstorm was mentoring her, and I thought it was cool that one of my favorite Warrior cats is mentoring my favorite kit.
What made me really start to like her a lot was the how nice she was to Lionpaw when he had trouble hunting. I liked how sympathetic and helpful she was and I thought about how I would love to have her as a friend. I even had dreams about her.
I was quite disappointed when Lionpaw didn’t accept her help since I wanted them to become closer.
Her interactions with Lionpaw is what made her my favorite Warrior cat, but I liked many of her other actions in the future.
Ok! 🙂 Honeyfern really is a great cat!

I had a great day celebrating my Birthday. 🙂
It’s dreadfully hot at my place, too, so I mostly stayed inside. I spent a lot of time working on my new chicken puzzle.

Character development facts:
-She is a lot like me.
-She is the main protagonist in many of my books.
-Her point of view is my favorite to write from.
-She is a very relatable character to me.
-I have wanted a complex, relatable character for a long time, which is why I made her.
-I like that her personality allows me to express many different emotions.
-Her coloration- Orange Duckwing- is not a real chicken color. I made it up based on Golden Duckwing and Silver Duckwing (real chicken colors) and it has been my favorite made up color since, which is why I used it for her.
-Leghorns are one of my favorite chicken breeds (I love them because of Pepe)
-I think my irl chicken Pepe likes the fact that the main character of my book is the same breed as her.
-I love Fireblaze both as a character and as a friend.
That’s so interesting!
Fireblaze is really cool!

How I started to love Honeyfern:
When Sorreltail’s kits were first introduced, I thought Honeykit was a cute name- I had no idea “Honey” was a prefix they used until then. She became my favorite of the kits, but she wasn’t my favorite Warrior cat yet since I didn’t know much about her.

What made me really start to like her a lot was the how nice she was to Lionpaw when he had trouble hunting. I liked how sympathetic and helpful she was and I thought about how I would love to have her as a friend. I even had dreams about her.
I was quite disappointed when Lionpaw didn’t accept her help since I wanted them to become closer and maybe even become mates.
Her interactions with Lionpaw is what made her my favorite Warrior cat, but I liked many of her other actions in the future.
During her Warrior ceremony, the traits Firestar mentioned that she had were intelligence and kindness. I think those traits describe her well, and kindness is a trait a value a lot. I was also very happy with her suffix! I love the name “Fern” and I think it’s the perfect suffix for her.
Honeyfern’s death was SO sad, but it was also a brave and heroic death. She will never be forgotten <3
Why I would love to know Honeyfern in real life:
I’d love to meet Honeyfern so much! Because she’s my favorite Warrior cat, of course, but also I just really think she would be a great friend to have.
She’s really kind and caring, and those are traits I value in friends. We're quite similar in some ways- she's cautious and so am I. Our personalities match in that regard, and that would probably make it easier to agree on certain things like what things are too risky.
Looking back at the scene in Dark River, where Lionpaw had trouble hunting and Honeypaw sympathized: In the past I’ve felt similar to how Lionpaw did.
Doing math at school was often hard for me, and it would have been good to have a helpful friend like Honeyfern by my side then.
I imagine that if we sat at the same desk, she would probably secretly help me figure out Long Division, just like she pointed out the mouse to Lionpaw. And although Lionpaw was frustrated when she did this, I would enjoy her care if I were in his place.
I would love to meet this amazing cat in person.
Sweet Honetyfern is forever my most favorite Warrior cat! <3
Wow, this is very, very interesting! And that drawing is awesome!
Honeyfern is so awesome 💛
