BlogClan Allegiances Chat Page

kitkit[image description: a yellow squarish cat icon with a black mouse cursor in the center]

This page is entirely dedicated to BlogClan’s Allegiances.

Here, you can:

talk about the allegiances
campaign to become a senior warrior
ask for vouches
look for a mentor/apprentice (limited to twice a week)
(If you have an issue with your current purrsona, please submit a new form so that Viperfrost/Goldenfawn can correct any errors/ommissions at the beginning of the following month)

In alignment with the new changes to the Senior Warrior campaigning platform, please be aware of the following rules:

For Senior Warrior Campaigners

You can announce that you are running for Senior Warrior ONCE, in a short message such as “Hey, everybody! I’m running for SW and I’d appreciate it if you vouched!”. Afterward, you may remind others than you are running ONCE PER WEEK, again in a short message such as “I’m still running for SW and I’d appreciate any support!”. Placing reminders in your name or signature is still fine. 🙂 Please separate your 1) reminder and 2) question about how many vouches you have into two different comments. Any mod can mod your reminder; only two of us can review your vouch question.
You may no longer post lists of reasons others should vouch for you, since the merit of your actions should hopefully speak louder than words.
I (Viperfrost/Goldenfawn) will keep track of how many valid vouches you have and update the Allegiances accordingly. If you’d like the number of how many valid vouches you currently have, you can post that question below ONCE PER WEEK.
To be elligible to run, you must have been active for twelve months total. In the past, you would have had to be active for twelve months in a row. Activity is determined by if you’ve commented at least once per month for each of those twelve months.

For Vouchers

You may no longer “vouch nag” (A.K.A. post lists of reasons one should vouch for a campaigner on behalf of that campaigner).
If you would like to show support (“Vouch for So-And-So!”) or say that you’ve vouched for a campaigner, please do so beneath their announcement or weekly reminder.
If you would like a list of who you’ve vouched for, you can ask below ONCE PER WEEK. Please note that asking who you’ve vouched for is different than asking who you’ve validly vouched for and may produce different answers. 🙂

Vouch Requirements:
1. The vouch must be three or more complete sentences long.
2. The vouch must be legible. Caps lock and intense exclaimations are not your friends.
3. The vouch must include three or more objective reasons, with support, regarding how the candidate benefits the community as a whole.

People usually get caught on the third requirement. I’ll give you an example of what one of these “reasons” would look like.
One NOT VALID reason: “Goldenfawn is very nice and friendly and I love them, they’re the best!!!”
One VALID reason: “Goldenfawn is very kind, warm, and outgoing, They’re always around to be a listener or to offer a shoulder to someone in their time of need in the BlogClan Community.
What makes this valid? You have the first sentence as your thesis. It’s your main point and your reason. It is followed up by another sentence that backs up your claim. You’re providing objective reasons about benefitting the community; you have to explain HOW the candidate carries out the reason you gave. It’s one thing to say someone is nice and quite another to explain why you think they’re nice. As a general reminder, you’ll need three of these reasons in your vouch (so three main points and three explanations of those points).

  • Hi I’m Ferretpaw and I’m very excited to have a mentor (if you want to be mine) I believe highly in Starclan, I’m a she-cat, and I’m 10 moons old.
I’m 13 years old, I’m a girl and I’m Christian/Catholic/Jewish. I love to draw, read, and write. I also love to help out people, and I want to work with animals when I grow up. (It’s to hard to choose a favorite animal.)
Thanks!

  • I was on a break, so Thist (Thistletooth) told me she left the blog a while ago on Scratch. That means I’m looking for a new mentor 😀 If you want to know more about me, check the say hi page 😛 Bye! And have a great day!

  • Reposting this again, I still haven’t found a mentor…

    Here are some facts:
    Current name: Gracepaw
    Warrior name: Gracesplash
Tribe name: Graceful Splash into Water
Physical appearance: Night-black fur, pale gray hind paws, aquamarine eyes
    Gender: She-cat/Female
Personality: Kind, Spirited, Ambitious, Curious, Imaginative, Wild, Happy, Adaptable
Zodiac and Hogwarts House (for Hogwarts/Harry Potter fans and Zodiac-interested clanmates): Gemini and Ravenclaw
(but actually more like Slytherclaw, just means I’m also ambitious)
    Favorite clan: RiverClan

Would anyone like to be my mentor?

Edit: I found a mentor!!! Thanks for all the kind words from everyone!!

  • Uhhhhhh what exactly do the mentors do? I’m pretty new to the Blog, so I don’t really know everything about it yet, but I’ve been a warriors fan for a little over 4 years now.

    Current Clan(s): Blogclan, Snowclan
    Gender: She-cat

  • I’m looking for a mentor! I had my account before, but I didn’t do anything, so I’m sorta starting over on the Blog. I am WindClan and I love love love Crowfeather, he’s the best 🙂
I’m a she-cat. Uhhhhh what else? Oh, I’m a Slytherin and love Harry Potter so much. My tribe name is Lion that settles by Pool, and my Zodiac is Cancer. I love to read and discuss books all the time. I put a comment on the Say Hi page, so this is basically and addition to that.
That’s all! I’m so happy to be here!

    • I’m probably WindClan, too! Either that or ShadowClan. I’m beginning to think I’d be a medicine cat! Crowfeather is my favorite, too! I also love Lionblaze, I’ve seen you like him, too. I’m a Ravenclaw and Pukwudgie(?) and an Aquarius-Pisces!

Dang, you’d be a great apprentice to have. Unfortunately, I already have one, but it’s cool, we can still be friends! 😀

      • Yeah! I think I’m a Thunderbird for my Ilvermorny house, and yeesh do we have a lot in common. I used to consider myself a medicine cat, but I’m definitely a warrior now that I think about it. For a while I would get Ravenclaw on everyyythingg but recently it’s Slytherin. I think quarantine has something to do with it, but I’m not a complete idiot I promise. Did you do my poll on Lionblaze? I haven’t checked it today.
It’s great to meet a new friend on the Blog 🙂

        • Yeah, I considered myself a medicine cat in elementary school, then a warrior/deputy who helped the medicine cats in upper elementary school and early middle school, then a warrior/deputy, then a warrior/deputy who helped the medicine cats for about a week, and in the last few days only have I begun to suspect I might be a medicine cat again, haha 😛 I mean, it might be a “phase” but I kind of don’t think so, because I’ve felt my personality shift as I’ve begun to remember what’s truly important (sorry for sounding all “deep”, oops, but it’s true that this has recently happened to me)!!!!

Oh, don’t worry, I respect Slytherins, and they’re usually also intelligent 😉 I don’t judge peoples’ intelligence based on Hogwarts Houses, I understand every little detail about the Houses if I do say so myself 😉

I believe I answered your Lionblaze question, yeah!! 😀 Also, you’ll find me on Polls the most of any place on BlogClan!!!! 😀

Yessss, indeed! 😀 I’m excited to get to talk to you more, Lionpaw!

          • Yayyyyy! You are like the opposite of the rest of my family who are so anti-Slytherin, I’m worried what will happen when I tell them *worried face emoji*.
When I talk about HP at home everyone is like -whaaaat she crazy I’m confused what- and in my head I just go yup it makes perfect sense.
I get the personality thing, I’m getting a whole new perspective on a bunch of things happening around the world. Wait, what grade are you in now then?
Yup, the Blog is really an awesome place! I’m so excited to get to know people here, I love Warriors.

            • Ah, that’s not open-minded of them. Slytherins typically work hard to get what they want while sacrificing so much along the way and plenty of great and good ones only use their work to the detriment of others if, say, they are doing something for the ends meet the means kind of mindset, as they often do. Slytherins are the types of people who actually get things they want to do done, unlike me. Many Slytherins are very loyal to those proven to be those they care about! Slytherins are noted to be (and/or belive in being / want and strive to be) resourceful and cunning, and, of course, ambitious, but just because popular culture, such as books/media, makes these traits out to be evil doesn’t mean they inherently are, and there are evil people who come from every House. Judge someone for who they turn out to be rather than their Hogwarts House which determines very little of their personality. Maybe when you tell your parents, you could remind them that ambition gets people far in the workplace, and that there are plenty of really, really good Slytherins out there doing good for the world. Look some up if you need to list some. Also, Slytherin is a fictional House, so don’t stress too much.

My whole immediate family likes Harry Potter a lot, although I can relate to you for sure in other cases of my fanbases when none of my family likes them.

Also, NOOOPE nope nope nope nope, maybe I am just a warrior who helps medicine cats (and when I said “…/deputy”, I mostly meant in stories and roleplays, because realistically I doubt I’d ever get appointed). Goodness, I swear I have a major identity crisis every other week, and it is exhausting. And yees, new perspectives!

I’m in grade ten now, a sophomore in high school!

Yes, the Blog is great!!! 😀 I don’t get on as much as I should, so maybeee I should try to be more active, haha!!

    • Hi! I’m Navy! I also love Harry Potter and reading! WindClan is my clan too! Do you want to be my apprentice?
