who are y’all’s favourite artist/ artist you were inspired by?
i’ve always liked Jackson Pollock since I was a kid (a pretty unpopular choice among others my age 😛), and I also love Rumiko takahashi’s style in her manga “Mao”, I love that her style isn’t the typical anime style :3 I’ve also been inspired by Horikoshi Kohei’s art in My hero academia!
My absolute favourite artist is definitely Tracy J. Butler and her Lackadaisy comic!! Oms the art is honestly so good and such an inspiration!
Reading and studying definitely helped me understand anatomy and style, and my anthro art improved greatly after haha. I’d highly suggest reading Lackadaisy if you love cats 😀

Oh my gosh, I adore Lackadaisy :0 I have never met anyone else who likes it before.
NekoSnicker! Their sharp style, dynamic and fluid posing, and color palettes have all inspired me, as well as how she’s unafraid to express whatever emotion she wishes and to be unabashedly herself in her art. My style has evolved to be a lot more free because of her. Side note, their art can deal with some more psychedelic themes so be wary of that if it’s needed.
I’ve also been inspired by Andy Price, Lauren Faust, and GinjaNinjaOwO – they all have contributed to my art style greatly 🙂
I really love the art styles of moonkitti, vivienne medrano (which is hazbin hotel’s artstyle!), graypillow, and lttleghost! I think they all have such unique, silly art styles and I love them all so much! :DD I also absolutely adore the art styles of the shows she-ra and the princesses of power and carmen sandiego!
I think I’m most influenced by the styles of moonkitti and viv, and whenever I look closely at my art I can see a bit of their styles in mine, which I think is really neat <3

I don’t really have a favorite ARTIST but I do have some favorite animators such as (proceeds to list HH animators oof) Seagull, I.V.Y, and uh- that’s it!
Styles that influenced my art are soft-rounded, cutesy, and also I forgot who made it but I use cubed eyes for my past-Voxs now because of their animations lol- I need to stop talking about Hazbin ahhh
Also I just draw different eye-types for cats cuz I love experimenting with eyes lol

Her style is really smooth and fluid and the way I draw eyes (the shape) is partly inspired by her! Also her poses are really dynamic which I’m working on lol
I have many inspirations, but my favourite artist has to be Keith Haring because I love bright colours, bold black lines and playful styles, and his art has all three of them! 😛
I also find him inspiring because like Keith Haring, I am able to visualise sound and I get some of my inspiration and energy from music; he apparently listened to electronic and hip-hop music on a boombox while he was creating his art, which I also do, well minus the boombox, though that would be cool. 😛
Seeing him work on his art inspires me because he was able to create entire murals without much planning; he just figured it all out as he went along, plus his lineart is loose and clean because he was able to create a line or arc with a simple move of his hand or arm without having to rely on making many small movements with his wrist; it reminds me to loosen up a little and use my entire arm when mark-making.
Other inspirations for my Art & Design work include Nifty-Senpai, Tri-Sarah-Tops Art/pSarahdactyls (Formerly known as SplashKittyArtist), The Designers Republic, Paul Rand, Paula Scher, Rodney Greenblatt, Graham Rounthwaite, Joey Ahlbum, Jamie Hewlett and many more artists and designers that I can’t think of right now. 😛
I’m also a fan of Jackson Pollock’s abstract art. I think my art style in 2022 was inspired by James L Barry, the illustrator of the Warrior Cats graphic novel series. After seeing many combined styles of manga and pop art, my style became a lot more unique, with the minimum amount of curves and the vivid outlines.

Description/reference: Riverdawn is a tall, chill, long-furred Norwegian Forest Bengal hybrid pale silver she-cat with darker cape and dark silver with silver ghost rosettes (only visible at bright light, inspired by Emberpaw/shine) and sky-blue eyes. Her tail-tip is dark silver, so are her droppy ear tufts, and she has a star-shaped spot on her left forepaw. Her pelt turns more darker at night, and her star shaped spot dissapears. She often carries a cream hamster, named Cinnamon (in her memory of her irl hamster Cinnamon who died last year, on 10th December 2023), a lily besides her left ear, and maple leaves around her right forepaw.
