Is it considered stealing art when you take inspiration from another artist and still give them credit? Not trace, color, or steal? I’m wondering because I’m inspired by the YouTuber “Kat” and I want to draw like them. Would that be considered stealing?
I mean if you’re doing heavy referencing / eyeballing it might be considered stealing if you don’t credit, but if it’s just light referencing then it’s okay
I wouldn’t consider it stealing! Giving credit is great. As long as you’re not tracing or stealing their art! A great way to develop your own style is taking inspiration from other artists and incorporating it into your own art. 🙂
