I agree, I consider myself female, but a lot of times I like to portray myself as more masculine and use gender-neutral pronouns, and for like 30 mins today I just sat considering whether or not to play as a boy or a girl in Splatoon :/

This experience (from a few months ago) touched me and changed me. I will never look at flies the same way after this.
[spoiler title=”Insect talk/Description of injury”] So, I was sitting at the computer one day, when a fly started bugging me. But like, really persistently bugging me, more so than flies usually do. Rather than just buzzing around near me, it kept trying to sit on my leg. When I got a look at it, I noticed that its head was twisted at an odd angle, causing it to face up. I showed my mom and she tried giving it a piece of caramel that she had with her, and that’s when I realized the fly couldn’t eat. Its mouth wasn’t facing down, so when it tried eating it could only touch the food with the top of its head. After we discussed it, my mom managed to carefully position the fly’s head back into place and it could eat again. I’m convinced that when it was bugging me it was begging for help. It knew there was something wrong with it and that the compassion of humans would be its only hope. I never knew they think that far but now I can’t believe otherwise. I haven’t killed flies after this and I now only support catching them live and taking them outside. I look at them so differently after this day. [/spoiler]
Aww thatβs heartwarming! When I see really sweet insects, I make sure to remember that even though they look creepy, they are still creatures!
