  • (Stormcloud)
Stormcloud hovered in the air, waiting for the trainer to come. We must have Sparrow today. He thought. The other trainers wouldn’t be this late. Sure enough, after hovering until he felt like his wings were gonna fall off, Sparrow flew forward on stiff wings. How did that old coot ever become a messenger? Stormcloud wondered spitefully. Stormcloud glanced at the other messengers in training, wondering if they felt the same.

      • (Stormcloud)
“Yup!” Stormcloud said, pointing at the shape of Sparrow with one of his front paws. “He’s taking so long to fly over here, I feel like my wings are gonna fall off! How did he become a messenger? Does he understand urgency?” Stormcloud wished he could fly down to one of those oh-so-welcoming clouds and rest his wings. “At this rate I won’t have any energy left for training.” He sighed.

          • (Stormcloud)
“Maybe…” Stormcloud sighed dramatically. “But if they’re here early we’ll need to do more work…well…maybe that’s better because then we will be fully trained messengers sooner.”

              • (Stormcloud)
“You don’t have to be so rude about it!” Stormcloud lightly complained, flicking Cloudwatcher with his tail.

                • (Stormcloud)
“Today we will be working on endurance.” Sparrow croaked. “Maybe that’s why he kept us waiting so long.” Stormcloud whispered to Cloudwatcher. “But let’s start with the usual warm up. Fly from that cloud to the other.” He pointed with his front claw to two different clouds, that looked like they were solidified with cloud powers.

                • Cloudwatcher raised her tail. “How many laps?” she asked when Sparrow nodded at her. “I’ll tell you when to stop.” Sparrow repiled. “After the warm-up, we’ll have a little competition.”
(Ok I have an idea for the competition thing. They get partners and have to fly to a certain area and pick up something Sparrow dropped there earlier. I was thinking maybe Stormcloud and Cloudwatcher partner up and go to the borders and meet the other characters.)

                • (Stormcloud)
“I’m ready!” Stormcloud roared, possibly being unnecessary loud, as he got himself a stern glance from Sparrow. “I’ll race ya!” Stormcloud whispered. Before Cloudwatcher could respond, Sparrow gave the signal to start flying and they were off. It felt like a miracle to be flying again, and his gaze flickered to another lion who was slightly changing the wind to go faster. He flew closer to that lion, hoping he wouldn’t get caught. Sparrow hated when they changed the wind to go faster.

                  (Ooh that’s a wonderful idea!)

                • (Stormcloud)
“Fineeeeee…” Stormcloud complained, leaving the wind stream and slowing down. “I just wanted to move around after having to hover for so long.” Soon, they had flown a couple laps, and Sparrow called. “That’s enough! Take a short rest then we’ll get to the competition!”

                • Coudwatcher slowed down and sat down on a nearby solid cloud. “As you rest, I’ll explain the rules of the competition.” Sparrow announced. “You will find a partner and I’ll send you and your partner to a specific area in our territory.” As Sparrow said that, Cloudwatcher brushed her wings against Stormcloud, sending the message Want to be partners? “I have placed an item there. You and your partner must deliver the item back to me. First team back will have free time after noon meal. The others must continue training. Any questions?”

                • (Stormcloud)
Stormcloud turned to Cloudwatcher and nodded, answering the unsaid question between them. “When do we make groups? When do we leave?” Stormcloud asked.

                • “You can find partners now if there is no other questions,” Sparrow repiled. Immediately, the other lions began moving around, finding partners. “You two can go to the most southern part of the territory,” Sparrow said, pointing to another group.”Petal, you and your partners can go to the forest on the ground,” Sparrow assigned each group with a different spot and finally assigned Cloudwatcher and Stormcloud’s destination. “You two can go to the border.” Sparrow said. “Don’t get in any trouble.” He looked around. “That’s all the groups. You may start.”

                • (Stormcloud)
“Lets go!” Stormcloud roared as he flew off the cloud and flew straight in the direction of the border. “I wonder where our flag is.” Stormcloud thought aloud.

                • (Stormcloud)
“But if we don’t use our energy, we might not get there quickly.” Stormcloud pointed out. “Once we get to the border it’ll be a lot of slow searching, which we won’t need to use that much energy for.” Even though he said that, he might have slowed down just a little. After flying for what seemed like forever, Stormcloud caught sight of the border. “We’re almost there!” Stormcloud called to Cloudwatcher.

                • Cloudwatcher jumped a little, snapped out of her thoughts. “I can see that,” Cloudwatcher repiled. She slowed down and landed on the ground. “I wonder if we’ll see any moon or sun lions here.” she said peering at the other side. Maybe there will be sun lions invading us so we can become their allies she thought, jokingly.

                • (Stormcloud)
“I don’t know…” He replied. “But what we need to focus on is finding that flag!” He looked around, but didn’t see the flag anywhere. “It can’t be here…” He mumbled.

                • (Stormcloud)
“Lets see!” Stormcloud whispered excitedly, forgetting about the flag. “Let’s get closer!”

                • (Stormcloud)
“Yeah!” Stormcloud said, flying down to the other lions. “Hello!” He said, trying to sound as passive as he could.

    • (Crystal)
Crystal peeked her head out of her den, wondering who the lion she saw walking by. He didn’t look that remarkable at first glance, but upon closer inspection, she saw a mark that almost seemed to glow. “Hello!” She called to the other lion, though at the last minute she wondered if that was a bad idea.

        • (Crystal)
The other Lion didn’t seem like a threat, so Crystal decided he probably wasn’t. “My name is Crystal!” She told him. “What’s yours?”

              • “Trying to find a place to sleep,” he grumbled to himself. “Exploring. I’m a Moon Lion, born in the moon pride. I… left. Looking for a place to spend my time.”

                • (Crystal)
“Oh hi Gold!” Crystal said, rushing to her friend’s side. “I’m talking to this lion, his name is Sand! He said he was born in one of the prides!” Crystal looked eagerly at Sand. “Tell me everything about the prides!” She begged.

                • “O-oh um… The prides are groups of lions and they all have certain roles, like a healer or a leader or a messenger. They work together, and also some have powers…”

                • could I come with you? I know i’m not prideless but i’m trying to find my half-brothers or sisters?

                • (Are you saying this inside the Roleplay or outside, sorry I can’t really tell 😛)

                • (Crystal)
“That’s so cool!” Crystal gasped. “What’s it like in the Moon Pride? Is it different from the Sun Pride? The only Pride lion I’ve ever met was in the Sun Pride. He said it was super terrible and strict. Is that true?”

                • (Crystal)
“Ooh-I think I might know this one!” Crystal said eagerly. “Well, in the Sun Pride at least, all the lions are best friends and they are super loyal to each other, and the loyalty makes them listen to the leader!” Crystal looked over to Sand. “Is that right?”

                • (Crystal)
“Am I asking to many questions?” Crystal asked. “I’ll stop. I’ll stop if you want. Do you want me to stop?”

                • (Crystal)
“Ok!” Crystal said. “You should probably answer Gold’s question then.”

                • “So… the leaders usually use loyalty to prove their worth. They also unite the prides in peace.” Claws couldn’t believe that he was saying this.

  • (Haze)
Haze paced around, having nothing to do. There were only a few lions in the area, and they were all keeping to themselves. Not that she would want to talk to them anyway. She wished a messenger would come with news of a battle, or that their leader would call them together for an attack. She just wanted to be fighting.

    • (Haze)
“Can I come with her?” Haze asked. “If she goes into Sky Lion territory, she could be ambushed by Sun Lions, or she might need backup if the Sky Lions don’t…cooperate.” Haze knew she wasn’t needed, and that probably Prowler wouldn’t say she could go, but she was desperate to do something.

      • Prowler
“Yes and no. We does not need you now, Haze, you can help later.”, Prowler said. Then he suddenly started running, leaving the other lions surprised.

  • Luna looked back at her home. Am I doing the right thing? Am I ever going to become the healer I was meant to be? It was to late now. She had to find her other family.
So Luna set of for an adventure

    • (Quake)
Quake prowled along the border between the Sun Pride, the Moon Pride and the Aridlands. She knew she was to close to the border to the Moon Pride’s territory, especially as she wasn’t a hunter, but her paws had taken her there anyway. Is that a Moon Lion? Quake wondered as she saw a white lion in the distance. She had a thin build, but her color was completely different from any Moon Lion she had seen before. The only color she had seen that on was Sky Lions, and it was obvious it wasn’t a Sky Lion. She wondered if it was a Prideless Lion, but again it didn’t work out, she would recognize the build of a Moon Lion anywhere. The other lion looked young, but still like it would be in training. She didn’t have the muscular build of a hunter or fighter, and she didn’t have the compact thin muscles of a messenger either. Is she a healer? Quake wondered. “Hey!” She called out to the other lion. “What are you doing?”

      • (Prowler)
Prowler suddenly hear something, something faint, after talking to Haze and Shadowhunter. Prowler ran toward the faint sound until he seen Quake, but not Luna. “What are you shouting for?”, Prowler said with a slight hostile tone in his voice
        (Flamer)
Flamer comes too, but when he saw prowler, he got back. This is not the right time to get revenge, Flamer thought, with all the eyes. Luna and Quake were watching

        • Luna snapped her head around to see a grey and a black lion.
“I-Im…” Her mouth turned dry. She was not that good at talking to people.

          • (Quake)
Quake felt her fur bristle, and a growl started rumbling in her throat. “I was asking this lion why she was so close to the border!” She snapped. She wondered if she should make a run for it. There was no way she could beat the Moon Pride leader in a fight. “I never crossed your border!” Even as she said it, Quake knew that meant nothing.

              • (Quake)
As Quake looked around, she realized how badly outnumbered she was. Three lions against only her, there was no way she could win. Swallowing her pride, Quake put her head down and said, “I don’t want to cause any more trouble, I’ll leave right now.” She willed herself not to start trembling, and she hoped that they would let her go. Worst case scenario-they kill me. She ran through in her head. Best case scenario-they let me go. Other bad scenario-they take me prisoner. “I’ll get out of your fur right now…” Quake said, turning backwards.

                • Prowler spotted Flamer, and ran back.Flamer suddenly almost burst, because he is about to kill Prowler. After Prowler got back, he started to question Electra

                • (Quake)
After Prowler left, Quake knew she might stand a chance. Might. She was still outnumbered, but one of the Moon Lions didn’t look very dangerous, and the other one was the one who said they shouldn’t attack. She saw Flamer nearby, but Flamer looked like all he wanted to do was kill Prowler. Suddenly, she heard what sounded like the flapping of wings. Sky Lions. Quake thought.

                • Celestial looked at the ground, uncomfortable. “Um….goodbye?” She was about to turn around and leave when she heard a voice. She whipped around and saw a gray sky lion. He was young, probably still a cub or a sub-adult. Oh god, she thought, three different prides all here. Then another sky lion flew down, this one white around the same age. “What are you doing here so close to the border?” Celestial asked, a little confused.

                • (Stormcloud)
“We were just looking for something.” Stormcloud said with a flick of his wing. “Why do you have to be so close to our territories?” The brown Sun Lion asked, with only a small amount of hostility in her voice. “Like I said.” Stormcloud answered calmly. “We were looking for something.”

                • (Stormcloud)
“Soooo…” Stormcloud said, trying to break up the awkward silence. “I’m going back.” The Sun Lion said. “Go find your flag and leave my territory.”

                • (Stormcloud)
Stormcloud got Cloudwatcher’s message to say something, and felt a bit stressed. “So, what’s it like in the Moon Pride?” Stormcloud asked, not sure what to say, but content with his question.

                • (Stormcloud)
Stormcloud smiled. “If we were cowards would we just fly up to you?” Stormcloud glanced over to Cloudwatcher. “And we only do a little frolicking like flying rabbits.”

                • Cloudwatcher shrugged, “I like frolicking. Its calming and good for daydreaming and thinking. But I prefer ‘thinking and walking’ over ‘frolicking'”. Cloudwatcher looked at Stormcloud, We need to get back home.
Celestial snorted, “Is there a difference?” she said with more amusement than bitterness. “And I guess you guys aren’t cowards. We were probably just told that because sky pride won’t join the war.” Celestial was actually enjoying talking to the sky lions, but she knew she had to go back. “Don’t you guys need to find a flag or whatever? You guys probably lost already. Besides I need to get going.”

                • (Stormcloud)
“We’ll be on our way!” Stormcloud said, slightly disappointed that they couldn’t talk longer. “Bye!” As he said it, he pulled himself into the air. “Oh yeah, any chance you’ve seen a flag nearby?” He knew she probably hadn’t, but might as well try.

                • (Stormcloud)
Stormcloud shrugged. “Would you rather have a bit of time to rest, or would you rather go on an adventure?” He asked. “This was completely worth it.”

                • (Stormcloud)
“I heard, from one of the elders, that there were these skinny-even more skinny then Moon Lions-cats, and they could run as fast as lightning!” As Stormcloud said it he laughed to himself, as if there was even a chance something like that could be read.
(Cheetahs stay away from Pride territories)

                • (Stormcloud)
“What took you so long?” Sparrow said in the insufferable voice he said things when he was angry. “And where is your flag?” Stormcloud paused for a moment. “We tried finding the flag.” He started, thinking up a lie. “And we found it-but while we were flying, I dropped it.” Sparrow would have no trouble believing that I did something stupid like that. He thought to himself. “It flew away in the wind and we spent way to long trying to find it again.” Sparrow didn’t look impressed with his magnificent lie. “What did you really get yourselves into?” He asked in that same insufferable voice.

                • (Stormcloud)
Stormcloud prayed that Sparrow would listen to Cloudwatcher’s story, and he felt a huge wave of relief as Sparrow nodded. “In the future, don’t chase them off yourself, you could get hurt. Get a fighter to chase them off right away.” “I’ll do that.” Stormcloud said, glancing at Cloudwatcher, giving her a look of relief.

                • “As a punishment, you two will be caring for the elders in your free time for this whole week,” Sparrow announced. “And no complaints. I was about to give you a whole moon of cleaning. Everybody fly back and get something to eat. Stormcloud, Cloudwatcher, hunt and eat quickly since you have a lot of cleaning to do.” Cloudwatcher nodded, “Hey it could be worse,” she whispered to Stormcloud.

                • (Stormcloud)
“It could have been better.” He growled. Suddenly he heard the faint sound of roaring. “Give me one sec ok?” He said to Cloudwatcher. Without waiting for a response he flew down to investigate the sound.

                • “Stormy!” Cloudwatcher whisper yelled. “We’re already in trouble, you’ll just get us into more trouble with your stupidity!” Cloudwatcher urgently looked around not sure what to do. Sparrow and the class was already leaving. I can’t just leave him alone she thought, he’s going to get himself in big trouble. She groaned and flew after him.

  • ~Shadowedhunter & Electra~
Shadowedhunter signalled to the messenger, who padded slowly and deliberately up to her. “Want me to go to Sky Pride, tell them to pick a side?”
Shadowedhunter looked surprised for a millisecond, then nodded. “Yes.”
Electra sped off into the distance, not looking behind her. She suddenly felt something large at her feet, and tripped. “Aah!”
A dark-grey blue lioness was stretched out in front of her. “Watch it!”
Electra narrowed her eyes. “You’re-you’re the former Top Healer!”
The lioness began to wash her paws. “Maybe. Maybe not.” She shook her head sadly. “You must get on with your journey, young one. Before your time runs out, like mine has.”
Electra froze, confused, then ran to the Sky Pride camp. “Prowler! A message from Prowler!”

    • (Hurricane)
Hurricane flew down from the clouds that made up the Sky Pride camp, and he was surprised to see a Moon Lion roaring about having a message from Prowler. “What is it?” Hurricane growled. He knew what she was there for, of course. She wanted to tell the Sky Pride to join them in the war. But he would act like he didn’t know, just to bide more time.

        • (Hurricane)
“There’s a reason we’ve been able to stay out of this war.” Hurricane growled. “Without wings you wouldn’t even be able to come close to our camp, and Prowler knows that.” Hurricane flicked his tail. “I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. I will not drag the Sky Pride into this war.” Hurricane looked down and shook his head. “Enough of my lions have joined other prides to fight, and enough of them have died. I refuse to make a decision for my pride. Now leave my sight.” Hurricane flew into the air, not leaving the area but being far enough away so that the Moon Lion couldn’t attack him

    • (Haze)
“It’s the only way to prevent deaths is to attack first.” Haze agreed, hoping she would get to fight something. “It would be foolish not to attack now.”

      • “We will first defend, then we will attack, because if they attack they will be on unfamiliar territory, but after a day, WE WILL ATTACK!!!”, Prowler told them

        • (Haze)
“I’ll be ready.” Haze growled. Internally, she scolded Prowler for not attacking right away, and she wished that he would just say they would attack.

          • “Ok, we will attack, but with almost our whole force!”, Prowler said, getting a bit annoyed, “Even if sky pride does not join us, we can win.”

            • ~Electra~
Electra half smiled. “Okay.” She dipped her head, and padded away.

              ~Shadowedhunter~
Shadowedhunter narrowed her eyes. “I will get the fighters ready.”

              • (Haze)
Finally. Haze thought. She could get her revenge. “I’m ready whenever we can go.” She said to Shadowedhunter. She’ll make a good Top Healer when I’m leader. She thought to herself.

  • (Moon) The three lions made their way toward the Sky Pride territory.
“We’re almost there!” Sky called excitedly.
Moon looked up to see that he was right. There were lions hunting in the distance.
Suddenly she heard something to her right. A herd of zebras was grazing nearby.
    “Yes! I’m hungry!” Sky hissed.
    Sun nodded in agreement.
Moon was unsure. “What if Sky Pride gets mad at us for hunting on their territory?”
“They probably won’t notice,” Sky said reassuringly.
Moon wasn’t reassured. Before she could stop him, Sky leaped at one of the weaker-looking zebras, killing it with one blow. Moon was surprised. She had no idea how Sky had gotten that good without noticing.

They ate the zebra while resting.
“See, that was worth it!” Sky said to Moon.
She couldn’t help thinking that it wasn’t.

    • (Hurricane)
As Hurricane flew back to his camp, he heard the sound of a Zebra being killed. I didn’t think any of our hunters were out now. He thought. Hurricane knew it was probably nothing, but he couldn’t shake the feeling something was wrong. He saw blood, and a zebra herd fleeing the area. He followed the trail of blood, and saw three lions eating a zebra. They looked like Moon Lions, but didn’t smell of any pride. Prideless scum. Hurricane thought. “What are you doing on our territory?” Hurricane growled, landing in front of the three lions, spreading out his wings to make him look larger.

      • (Sun)
Sun cowered in fear. “W-w-we wanted t-to join you.”
Moon and Sky, on the other hand looked mad.
“What’s wrong with being on your territory?” Moon growled.

        • (Hurricane)
Ignoring the first lion’s comment about wanting to join them, Hurricane growled back at who looked like the oldest lion of the three. “We have territory for a reason.” Hurricane growled softly. “If we let Prideless Lions like you roam around all willy-nilly, we won’t have any food left for our pride. Who even are you?” He asked, wondering if they were Moon Lions who ran away or were exiled.

          • Moon proudly steps forward. “ I’m Moon. This is Sky and Sun. And what Sun said was true. We wanted to join you.”
She turned toward her brothers. “Let’s go. We’re obviously not wanted here.”
Sky took another bite of the zebra. “Hold on.”

            • (Hurricane)
“Wait.” Hurricane said, before the lions left. “You do want to join us?” Hurricane narrowed his eyes. “We Sky Lions live in the clouds. How would land lions like you expect to get up there?”

  • Ember set of into the distance. he was here. i know it. His revenge was gonna be nice and sweet. Then he ran into a female lion. She looked like a Sky lion/Moon lion.

  • Cloudwatcher caught up to Sparrow and the rest of the class. Thankfully, Sparrow didn’t seem to notice they gone missing again. “Hey Cloudwatcher,” her classmate, Petal said, flying next to her. “How come your sneaking out with Stormcloud so much? Are you guys like making out or something?” Cloudwatcher rolled her eyes, embarrassed. “Oh shut up,” she muttered, smacking Petal’s head. Petal grinned and flew away to another lion. She looked around and noticed Stormcloud had caught up with the group as well. “Should we tell Sparrow what we heard?” Cloudwatcher whispered to him.

    • (Stormcloud)
“Not Sparrow.” He whispered. “He’ll just get mad at us that we snuck off and he won’t actually listen to us.” He paused for a moment. “But who else could we tell…”

        • (Stormcloud)
“We should.” Stormcloud sighed. “But I don’t know where he is.”

          • Cloudwatcher and the rest of the class landed on the hard clouds. Many lions scattered and began hunting. “Sparrow?” Cloudwatcher asked, sweetly. “Do you know where Hurricane is?” Sparrow peered at Cloudwatcher. “Why do you need to know?” he asked gruffly. “Oh I was just thinking of warning him about the moon lions crossing border.” Cloudwatcher repiled, not giving away anything. “He’s probably hunting,” Sparrow grunted. “What you should be doing right now.” He began to walk away. “Remember to get prey for the elders.”

            • (Stormcloud)
“Then we’ll go out now.” Stormcloud said, looking at Cloudwatcher to tell her that they were going to look for him.

                • (Stormcloud)
Stormcloud flew away, and dove down to catch a bird, killing it before it could even squawk. “Maybe this’ll make Sparrow happy.” Stormcloud muttered.

                • “Beautiful bird,” Cloudwatcher said, dreamily. “I bet the meat is juicy and absolutely delicious. Still warm and freshly killed….” Cloudwatcher happily fluttered her wings, thinking of food. “Maybe I could eat a giant eagle or a fat ostrich or warm sparrow… Hey isn’t that Hurricane?!” she shouted, snapped out of her food fantasy.

                • (Stormcloud)
“You can have some if you’d li-oh it is!” Stormcloud said, startled that they found Hurricane so soon. “Hurricaaaannneeeee!” Stormcloud called, and Hurricane turned to them with a scowl.

                • “I don’t think that was the best way to start the conversation,” Cloudwatcher whispered to Stormcloud. “Be calm and serious or just don’t talk,” She flew over to Hurricane. “Hello, Hurricane, May we talk to you about something in private? It’s quite important and I think you’ll want to know.” she said in her mature to adults voice.

                • (Hurricane)
“Yes, give me one second.” Hurricane said. He turned to the Prideless Lions. “Meet me again tomorrow morning. If I’m not there, then meet me tomorrow morning. If I’m still not there, then don’t bother coming again.” Hurricane paused. “That is if you still want to join us.” He saw Stormcloud’s eyes widen. “They want to join us!” He exclaimed, which made Hurricane want to tear his ears out. He turned to Cloudwatcher. “Yes, we can talk.” He said

                • “I said serious and mature,” Cloudwatcher hissed at Stormcloud and immediately straighten when Hurricane looked at her. “Me and Stormcloud have been talking to Moon clan.” Before Hurricane could say anything, Cloudwatcher continued talking, “We have been informed that Moon Clan will be attacking us.”
