Wattpad provides an excellent platform for reading and sharing fan fiction. You might wish to use that instead to share your stories. I am not favouring Wattpad. It’s the only one I know of, and I’m sure there are many other platforms out there you might prefer. It’s up to you!

If you can’t make an account on any site, you may use justpaste.it! If you only have access to Google Docs, then you must use a blog email to make the document or link a web-published version of your document. To make a web-published version, set the doc to be viewable by anyone with the link, then go to “File” -> “Share” -> “Publish to web” and click “Publish”, then copy the link provided (it MUST end in “/pub”). Any document found to contain personal information will not be moderated!

    So basically I had this idea whilst sitting in an airport lounge, so yeah, here it is

    The Prompt !

    A cat decides to form a clan, in a dangerous country, or place. What problems do they face, what is do they need to do that is different from the other clans, but helps keep them alive and at peace ? Do they succeed ?

    POWER CAMP UPDATE

    Sooooo I’ve written the prolouge of it and part of Chapter 1, and I’m working on the allegincies and waiting to post it, but in the meantime I’m SUPER evil and I want people to add a few things.

    HOW THIS IS GOING TO WORK
    I’m going to provide you the link to the Wiki, and at the top will be a bar that says contents. Make sure it says “hide” bc that means the contents are showing. There is basic info I’ve gave you, and it says “Confirm/everyone’s forms/finished” I need you to click your name under that (its in abc order!) and see what I’ve wrote.             Light: Light powers, healing, etc.
            Ice: Ice, water powers
            Fire: Fire powers
            Earth: Make plants grow, make the ground shoot upward, etc.
            Storm: Lightning/thunder, tornadoes, etc.
            Air Cabin: air, telekinesis, etc.
            Dark Group: not a Cabin. This is the unorganized other group.

            The open ranks are camper (a full fledged member of the Power Camp), trainnee (someone still getting used to their power and controlling it), and Dark Group member (member of the Dark Group)

  • Here’s my entry for Crater’s fanfic comp. (I did do the Swiftpaw one anyway 😛 ) I had loads of italics in this but I couldn’t be bothered to change them 😛

    I opened my mouth to argue, but he was the deputy. I should have argued! It wasn’t fair. I had to go back, and that kittypet didn’t. Longtail always said not to trust kittypets. And Fireheart was one too.
    I should have stayed! Why didn’t he make Cloudpaw go? I’ve been waiting for moons longer than he has! And I had to go back and get help! From now on, I’m never listening to the deputy again.
    That’s what I’m thinking about now as Cloudpaw’s being made into a warrior, and I’m not – what kind of a name is Cloudtail anyway? But I’ve a plan. I’m going to track down whatever’s killing our prey. But I can’t go on my own.
    That night, as Cloudtail is sitting his warrior vigil, I tell the other apprentices my plan. “It’s our only chance,” I begin, scuffling my black-and-white paws on the ground as I search for the right words. “Bluestar will never make us warriors – she hardly ever comes out of her den! – unless we do something big that she will notice,” I look around nervously at the other apprentices, and by the looks on their face, they aren’t too convinced, “so I thought that we could track down whatever’s hunting our prey,” – I can just picture all of us running through the forest together, and then we’re home, and being made warriors – “and then, finally, she’ll notice.” I finish with a heroic look around at the others.
    Ashpaw and Fernpaw, the youngest apprentices, look worried and confused, and Thornpaw doesn’t look that exited, either. But Brightpaw’s eyes are wide and lively, and her smile is convincing. “I’ll go,” she mews. “Bluestar should have made us warriors already. It really isn’t fair. I’ll help you, Swiftpaw. This will change her mind.”
    “But what about Cloudtail?” Thornpaw puts in. “He’ll report you straight away. If there’s anycat he hates, it’s you Swiftpaw.”
    “Cloudtail?” I snort. “Cloudtail wouldn’t notice a Twoleg monster roaring through the camp. Last call. Are any of you coming except from Brightpaw?” The rest of the apprentices don’t move, so I put in my last part, “OK, but don’t tell a sole, or when I get back I’ll have you ripped to shreds and it won’t be my fault.” With that I tun, Brightpaw trailing, and head out, away from Cloudtail.
    As I leave, I hear Thornpaw muttering, “Alright, Modestpaw,” But I don’t rise to it; I’m about to become a warrior.
    Out in the forest, even though I have a great feeling inside me, I feel something’s wrong. I try to focus on the scents of dog, but the fear is distracting me. Instead, I think again about becoming a warrior.
    Swiftsrike
    That sounds like a great name, better than Cloudtail anyway. With that tingling feeling inside of me, I continue the search.
    Brightpaw’s cry interrupts my tracking, and I turn to face her, rolling my eyes. “What?”
    “I smell danger. . . We need to go back now!” Her eyes are wide and full of fear. I alert my senses to my highest, and realise with a pang of fear, that she’s right.
    “I know, but we can’t stop now!” I meow through half gritted teeth, trying to convince myself as well as her.
    Brightpaw sighs. “Okay” She mews, her voice shaken with fear. “But if I get killed, it’s your fault,”
    We keep walking on, and a strange smell hits my nostrils, I push on though. We follow the trail which leads us to . . . Snakerocks? Why would it lead us here? I thought we would be led to a Twoleg garden, and then we could tell Bluestar that it was just a normal, crazy, annoying dog. But no . . .
    “Pack, pack. . .”
    “What did you say?” I mew, turning my head to Brightpaw. But her eyes are wide with fear and her back is arched. Then I realise that the words that were spoken were not in cat, but I still understood it . . .
    “Kill, kill!”
    I watch in horror as the biggest, scariest thing I’ve ever seen hauls it’s self out of a huge cave. It’s a dog, but it’s not one of those stupid things that Twolegs own – it’s huge!
    I flex my claws and spring into the hunter’s crouch, ready to jump into the dog and tear its pelt off! As it runs at me, I leap at it, and pull all of my knowledge of fighting and rip at the creature, but it’s too strong for me. I can’t hear except from the pounding of blood in my ears and my fast-beating heart. I have to save Brightpaw – *** apparently we’re related. I keep fighting for a while that seems to last for a moon, and then hide in the nearest spot: a hollow tree stump.
    I watch helplessly as Brightpaw jumps onto the back of one of the dogs, the only sound being my breath and heartbeat, and I know that she’s going to die. But then I notice that the dog pack aren’t looking at her at all.
    Then I freeze. They’re after me!
    I scramble further into the stump as they run at me. “No! Wait – I – I – help! Brightpaw!”
    A huge clawed paw scrapes me out of the tree stump.
    Pain… more pain…
    Then it stops… then I feel a pang of anguish so great . . . and it ends in a flash of light as red as blood, and I think it ends my life.

      Backstory (Optional): When she was little (like five or six), she was the Princess Heir of a small planet called Demeter. Demeter was a peaceful farming planet (think: Amity) that had no standing army or known enemies. One day, it was attacked by soldiers from the nearest planet, Hades. Hades was a dark planet, occupied by dragons and a brutal soldier people (known as the Draken) and ruled by a Warrior King who sought to conquer the solar system the two planets were part of. Nearly all the inhabitants of Demeter were slaughtered, but Kor’s life was spared for unknown reasons. She was taken before the Warrior King and he decided to adopt her and train her to be his weapon. She became a mercenary/assassin known across the galaxy as Crow.
      *Note: There are twelve planets in that solar system. The closest to their sun is Hephaestus, followed by Apollo, Ares, Zeus, Hera, Dionysus, Hades, Demeter, Poseidon, Aphrodite, and Hermes, ending with Artemis as the farthest from the sun. Also they don’t call it “the sun,” they call it the Center-Star.
