We are delighted to have so many talented and prolific writers on BlogClan, but the amount of fan fiction posted in comments has increased so much that we do not have the time or resources to moderate it all in a timely fashion. What we’re about to say will seem harsh, but it will hopefully mean that comment moderation over the whole site will become quicker which means more fun for everyone. So, here goes, and apologies in advance if this is upsetting:
Fan fiction comments will not be moderated on BlogClan.
This means comments containing fan fiction will never make it out of moderation. They will languish there, unread and unmoderated, for eternity.

CHAPTER ONE
“Come on Littlekit, you’re so slow!” Firekit yelled teasingly, racing across camp in a flurry of bright orange tabby fur. Littlekit, who had just been a rogue kit not that long ago, raced after him as fast as he could with his stubby legs. Flamekit, however, watched beside the nursery. Firekit was his brother, and they had always been close, but he had grown quite fond of Littlekit, formerly known as Milo, since he first joined ThunderClan. A ThunderClan hunting patrol had found him near the very edge of Clan territory, Flamekit reflected. Littlekit had only been about 4 moons old at the time, and had been found with an injured forepaw. Nobody truly knows where he came from… When any cat had insisted on asking, Littlekit had just brushed it off and said it wasn’t important, and the only thing they needed to know was that, that time of his life was over. I guess he just wants to fit in with everyone else, he remarked, or maybe there’s more to the story, something he’s hiding… Flamekit quickly shook off the thought. What am I thinking? Littlekit has always been kind to every cat, he should not be accused or blamed for where he was born.
It was sunhigh, clouds drifting by, and the camp was mostly empty except for a few grooming cats and two of the apprentices, Shallowpaw and Snowpaw, showing off recently learned battle moves near their den in the crevice of the camp wall. He heard birdsong in the distance, and looked up to see a red bird tweeting in an oak tree above the hollow. I can’t wait till I can be an apprentice! I’m sick of having to be stuck in camp all day. Flamekit sighed, remembering that his apprentice ceremony was still one full moon away.
“Flamekit!” A voice startled him out of his thoughts. It was Firekit, padding up to him with a smirk on his face. “Don’t just spend the rest of your life moping around the nursery all day. You won’t be a kit forever, you know!” Flamekit flicked his orange tail irritably, I may love my brother, but he can be the biggest mousebrain sometimes! “I know, I know. You just seemed like you were having enough fun with your new buddy over there.” Flamekit said, gesturing with his paw to Littlekit who was now batting a twig around the camp floor. “What?” Firekit looked confused, and when he turned to see Littlekit he seemed to understand what he was getting on about. “Flame, is that what all this is about?” he asked, looking at him as if he was a father who just saw his newborn kit for the first time. Flamekit rolled his amber eyes at him, “Yes, it is,” Flamekit shot him another angry glare, “and don’t call me Flame!”
Firekit’s face quickly changed from its original warm expression, to a surprised and disappointed ball of flame with eyes and ears. A guilty feeling spread through Flamekit, I don’t mean to be rude. I guess I just don’t want to be treated like a kit anymore. “Listen, Firekit, I-” Suddenly, Flamekit felt a big wet drop fall on the tip of his nose, and he looked up. He had been so caught up in his thoughts and his fight with his brother, that he hadn’t even noticed a rainstorm was piling in on the camp.
A white and orange figure flashed in the back of his vision. Flamekit turned around to see his mother, Budfrost, rushing toward them from the nursery. “Ugh, this StarClan cursed weather just won’t stop, will it?” she mumbled under her breath, sounding annoyed. It was true, Flamekit thought, It has been raining a lot lately. Although this was Flamekit’s first newleaf, he had heard some of the older warriors saying that this was one of the most rainiest newleafs they had ever witnessed. Budfrost looked at her kits warmly, “Let’s get you two back to the nursery.” With one last glance over his shoulder at Flamekit, Firekit padded into the bramble den. Littlekit ran after him, slipping on his own wet brown paws. Flamekit walked slowly through the rain after them, his head bowed. Why didn’t I just keep my mouth shut?
Then, suddenly, the rain stopped hitting his fur. Flamekit looked up, confused, to see his mother walking beside him with her white tail raised over his back. “Is everything okay, Flamekit?” Budfrost asked, concern in her eyes. Would his mother understand? I don’t want her to think I’m jealous… “Everything is fine.” Flamekit said, looking down at his white paws again. Budfrost continued, “Well, okay,” she said, unconvinced. “But if you ever want to talk, I’m here.” she said, bending down to nuzzle his cheek as they entered the nursery. No matter how sad I get, my mother always finds a way to cheer me up, he realized, as a feeling of comfort spread through his pelt.
~
The rain had slowed down, and outside, the ground was soaked from wall to wall. It was well past sunhigh now, and Flamekit was sitting in his nest next to his mother and the sleeping Firekit. Littlekit sat on the other side of Budfrost, lightly snoring. Blackkit and Skykit, the two she-kits Flamekit shared a den with, were laid next to their mother, Swiftcloud. It seemed every cat in ThunderClan was sleeping in their den, except Flamekit that is. He had too much on his mind to rest. He looked toward the nursery entrance, outlined with the bramble that made up of it, watching the rain drizzle to the ground. I hate when I upset my brother, he thought, I always feel guilty after. He didn’t do anything wrong, yet I still yelled at him like the mousebrain I am.
Flamekit heard the sound of paw steps behind him and turned around in surprise. It was Blackkit, her pure black pelt hard to make out from the darkness of the night. “Hey Flamekit,” she said slyly, “What are you doing?” She asked, as she stepped before him and flicked her dark tail curiously. Flamekit and Blackkit had grown quite close since Littlekit joined ThunderClan. She always seems to have a sly remark that cheers me up, he realized, as he looked up at her. “Oh, I was just…” He looked around the nursery for an excuse. “thinking.” he finished. Blackkit rolled her amber eyes, the only thing he could really make out of her in the darkness. “Whatever, Flamekit. I know something’s wrong.” She looked at him tauntingly and added, “There’s obviously a reason you’re sitting up in your nest, and staring at the rain in the middle of the night!”
He looked at Blackkit half embarrassed, half amused. “Okay, okay, you caught me!” he exclaimed at last. Flamekit straightened back up and padded to the side of the den, and beckoned her closer with his tail. She headed towards him, and once they were close enough for the other cats in the den not to overhear, he started to explain what happened previous that day. He told her about his argument with Firekit, and his jealousy towards Littlekit. It feels good to let someone else know about my worries. After he had finally finished, he looked at her hesitantly and added sadly, “I don’t know what to do.”
She looked behind herself at Firekit, then looked back at Flamekit. “I think you should talk it out with him. You can’t be mad at each other forever!” Easier said than done, Flamekit thought with irritation. But I know she’s right. Even though Blackkit was two quarter moons younger than him, she seemed so much more wiser and reasonable. I respect her for that. “I know you’re right.” he replied to her, “Thanks for listening, Blackkit.” She looked at him, but not with her usual teasing and sly look, but with a look he didn’t see very often on her. She gave him a warm and kind smirk and added, “Any time, Flamekit.” Then she turned and padded back to her mother’s nest.
Flamekit stayed where he was beside the den wall, and looked after her. He watched her yawn beside her nest, and then lie close beside her sister once again. A feeling that Flamekit had never felt before swept over him from ears to tail tip. A feeling that Flamekit couldn’t completely identify. He rose to his paws and shook his pelt firmly. He then walked back to his nest where his mother and Firekit still lied.
He laid down on the soft green moss and rested his muzzle on his paws. He suppressed a shiver, as the cold moss hit his belly fur. He started to think back at what Blackkit had told him. As soon as I get the chance, I will have to apologize to Firekit, Flamekit promised inside his head. That is, if there isn’t another storm that interrupts it! He snorted a laugh of amusement to himself and rolled his eyes. Flamekit looked over his shoulder at his brother, who was curled up next to Littlekit, and then looked over at Blackkit who was now sleeping soundly again, and with that he closed his eyes and let sleep overcome him.
CHAPTER TWO
Flamekit sat in a shaded spot near the apprentices den. The rain had completely stopped and the sun was just starting to show beyond the treetops. The clearing was filled with cats. The dawn patrol had just returned, and the last hunting patrol had set out for the abandoned twoleg nest. Snowpaw and Graypaw were standing next to the camp entrance with their mentors, Yarrowtail and Lightsplash, their tails curled in excitement of going out to train. The leader of ThunderClan, Rainstar, sat on the Highledge where she called Clan meetings, watching her Clan from above. Her beautiful gray pelt visible against the bright rays of the sun. Today’s the day I need to talk to my brother. Flamekit scanned the clearing, looking for the bright orange tabby fur that would be Firekit. As soon as he spotted him near the nursery, Flamekit rose to his paws and started to pad over to him.
Before he was even halfway there, a tom’s voice sounded behind him. What now? He turned around to see his father, Foxthorn, heading towards him. “Hey Flamekit, Budfrost told me that you haven’t really been yourself lately.” He flicked his tail concernedly, and cocked his head curiously toward Flamekit. “Is everything alright?” Flamekit felt a flash of annoyance spread through him. I’m almost 6 moons old, and every cat’s still acting like it’s my first time out of the nursery! Flamekit flicked his ear, “Yes!” He added after looking over his shoulder at Firekit, “Everything is fine.” All he wanted to do was go talk to his brother.
He turned around to walk away, when Foxthorn stepped forward and blocked his path with his big tail. He looked down at Flamekit understandingly, “I know what this is all about, Flamekit.” He looked up at his father, shocked. Oh no, is my jealousy really that easy to spot? His father knew him better than any cat, better than Budfrost, better than Firekit, even better than Blackkit, but he never thought he could identify his feelings so easily. Foxthorn leaned closer to Flamekit, so close that their noses almost touched, “I saw your little fight with Firekit yesterday.” Flamekit took a step back and flattened his ears. So his father had witnessed the whole ordeal. Well, that’s just what I need right now! Flamekit thought bitterly. He looked back up at his father uneasily, “Well, Firekit was being annoying…” Foxthorn, who was still looking down at him, flicked his orange tail. “He’s your brother, Flamekit. Was it that he was being annoying, or was it that you were succumbing to your jealousy?”
As soon as his father brought up the subject, Flamekit looked down at his paws. No matter how much he didn’t want to admit it, he knew it was true. He was jealous of Firekit’s relationship with Littlekit. It just seems like every time I want to play with Firekit, Littlekit is always in the way. Flamekit thought miserably. He was startled when Foxthorn started to speak again, this time his voice sounded more gentle. “Im sorry, Flamekit..” His father looked down at his paws sorrowfully. “I just don’t want you to feel sorry for yourself. You need to be strong. Remember,” he added, looking back up at his son proudly, “one day, you will be a warrior!” My father has great hopes for me, he reflected, I just hope I can live up to his expectations… Flamekit looked back at Foxthorn, “I know,” After that, he added a bit more enthusiastically, “I guess I should be apologizing for being a mousebrain now.” Foxthorn looked at Flamekit warmly, “Ha, I guess so.” and padded off in the direction he originally came from.
Flamekit let his amber gaze travel back to where Firekit was now washing his face with a forepaw, and walked over to him. When Flamekit was just close enough to him, Firekit looked up expectantly. He took a deep breath and said, “Uh, hey Firekit.” Flamekit looked up at his brother sorrowfully and added, “I’m really sorry about yesterday.” Firekit looked back at him with clouded eyes and turned his head in the opposite direction, as if not accepting Flamekit’s apology. He started to get desperate, and without even knowing it the sound of his voice started to rise, “I wasn’t trying to hurt your feelings!” After a moment of more silence, Flamekit exclaimed again, “I’m sorry!” I know I sound like a baby, but I just don’t want my brother to resent me. Even though no one else was paying any attention to him, he was sure everyone in camp could hear his caterwauls. When he heard the desperation in his voice, Firekit turned back to his brother in revelation, then a look of understanding formed on his face.
“It’s okay, Flamekit.” He looked teasily at his brother, “I forgive you. I shouldn’t have been so sensitive.” Flamekit looked back at him, surprised, “So, you’re not mad?” Now Firekit was the one who looked surprised, “Of course not!” Then added more cheerfully, “You’re my brother. It’s my job to be there for you!” Flamekit suppressed a chuckle and flicked Firekit over the ear with his tail tip.
“Hey!” Firekit yelped, and leaped at his brother playfully. They tumbled in a ball of orange fur, and Flamekit fell to the ground with a thud, “Ow!” He struggled to his paws under Firekit’s weight, and Flamekit pushed his brother to the ground. Ha! Maybe I will make a good warrior. Flamekit thought proudly. “I win!” he taunted him.
Firekit struggled back up and shook his head, dirt and shrubs from the camp floor that were lingering on his fur sprayed Flamekit’s pelt. He looked at Firekit joking-like and declared, “Ugh, you mousebrain, look what you did to my pelt!” Firekit looked at him with big, round, innocent eyes, “Oh, I’m sorry!” Then gave him a more sly look, “Did I spoil your good looks?” Flamekit rolled his eyes, and just when he was about to reply, a voice sounded behind them. “Hey guys!” Flamekit recognized the voice of Littlekit, Of course, it had to be Littlekit! he thought bitterly.
“Oh, ugh, hey Littlekit…” Firekit said awkwardly, giving a worried glance at Flamekit. Littlekit let his pale green gaze travel to Flamekit, “Hi, Flamekit!” Littlekit said, giving him a polite nod. Flamekit looked down at his paws and replied with a simple, “Hi.” Littlekit padded a bit closer and let his gaze lead back to Firekit, “So Firekit, I was wondering if you wanted to come check out this really strange plant I found. It looks so weird!”
Firekit looked up at him willingly and with a raised tail, but then, as if realizing Flamekit was still there, he gave Littlekit a disappointed look, Oh no, I can just imagine Littlekit’s poor face when Firekit tells him he can’t come! By the time Flamekit snapped out of his thoughts, Firekit was uttering, “Oh, sorry Littlekit, but I-” Flamekit quickly interrupted him with a flick of his tail, “Of course, Firekit would love to go with you! As a matter of fact,” Flamekit gave his brother a side wink, “we both would.” Firekit looked at him as if a huge black spider was crawling on his face. “Really?” Flamekit nodded at him, and turned back to Littlekit. His brother’s friend looked almost as astonished as Firekit himself.
Littlekit beckoned them with his tail and trotted off in the direction of the apprentices den. Flamekit and Firekit padded a bit behind. Firekit looked at Flamekit curiously, “Why did say that? I thought you were jealous of Littlekit!” I was, Flamekit remarked. He looked at Firekit hesitantly, “Well, I was, but I didn’t want Littlekit to feel like he did something wrong, because he didn’t.” Firekit looked back at him accusingly and teasing-like, “So, you finally admit it?” He then suppressed a laugh. Flamekit rolled his eyes and continued to stock off towards Littlekit, who was now waiting for them beside the den, his eyes bright with excitement.
Once the two brothers finally made it across the camp to where Littlekit was standing, he stepped aside to reveal an odd looking plant. It’s petals were light pink and were white on the edges, the stem was long and bright green. That’s the biggest plant I’ve ever seen! Flamekit thought, astonished. The flower was just higher than Flamekit and was growing next to a small bush that grew against the camp wall and the apprentices den. “Woah, it’s so tall!” Firekit exclaimed, looking up at the plant with wide eyes. Littlekit looked on proudly, “Yeah, I know, and I found it!” There has to be other cats that know about this strange plant, maybe it’s a herb medicine cats use? Flamekit looked back at Littlekit, “I mean, there may be others that have already discovered it.” Firekit nodded in agreement, “Yeah Littlekit,” he said jokingly, “stop acting like you’re gonna make Clan history!” Littlekit shot him an annoyed glare, but quickly returned to his usual friendly, enthusiastic expression.
“Do you really think some cat has already found it?” he asked, disappointed. Flamekit replied to him fervently, trying to cheer him up, “Maybe this is one of Wolftail’s herbs.” Littlekit looked at him, unconvinced, “I have been in the medicine den many times, and I have never seen anything in there that looks like this plant before.” Firekit gave Flamekit a glance and trotted closer to the strange looking plant. He nosed his orange muzzle towards the petals, having to stand on his two back legs to reach it. “Wow, this doesn’t smell half bad!” he exclaimed, plopping back onto all four paws once again. Littlekit chuckled in amusement, “I wonder if it tastes as good as it smells!”
Flamekit looked at him enthusiastically, “Well if you want to know so much, you should try it yourself!” Littlekit looked a little confused, “You mean eat it? No way!” Firekit padded toward him, “What, are you a scaredy-mouse?” Flamekit at his brother’s side, added in agreement, “Yeah, are you scared?” Littlekit straightened up and flicked his tail indignantly, “I’m no scaredy-mouse!” He walked past the two brothers and looked up at the tall flower. He’s not going to really do it, is he? Flamekit and his brother exchanged a glance, as if thinking the same thing.
Littlekit bent the stem down with one forepaw and once he was close enough to reach the top, he began tearing off the pink petals one by one. Oh my StarClan! He’s really going to do it after all! Once all the petals were off, Littlekit began munching on each one, a look of disgust on his face. Flamekit stared at him in shock, until every last petal had been swallowed down. Littlekit let go of the stem and sat up, shaking his head as if the petals didn’t taste as good as a juicy mouse. Firekit bounced up and down and rushed toward Littlekit, “You did it! You really did it!” he yelled. Flamekit padded quickly after him and said, “I can’t believe it. I guess you aren’t a scaredy-mouse after all, Littlekit!” Firekit looked at Flamekit and nodded in agreement and asked eagerly, “How did it taste?” Littlekit looked at him, still looking a bit disgusted, “A bit sour, but let’s just say, it definitely didn’t taste as good as it smelled!”
All three kits laughed in amusement, and curled their tails in delight. After they had all settled a bit down, Flamekit glanced back at Littlekit, who stood on the other side of Firekit. Maybe I was wrong about Littlekit, and now, I see why Firekit was so keen on being his friend. Once Flamekit was knocked out of his thoughts, he noticed Littlekit was also staring at him, a smile on his face. Not maybe, I really was wrong about him. Flamekit thought, and smiled back at the small tabby tom.
That’s it! Can’t wait to hear your opinions on this! Also, I still need a title for the book, so could you guys help me out with one? And again, hope you enjoyed reading! Keep watch for Chapter Three 😉
Wow, I actually wrote a positive fan fiction story.
It’s sort of rushed and might not make any sense. . .
but. . . . I hope you like it 🙁
The sun inched its way up the clear blue sky, shining down on the clearing. Happiness was in the air, and the scent of the flowers and spring seemed to brighten everything. But at a place beyond, there was only darkness and shadows of failure that glistened in the air.
There was a thin line between happiness and darkness.
In the middle of darkness, though, was a silvery cat, her eyes blue and her tail between her legs. And in that mind of hers, were two words: I failed.
Besides her was a small body of a black cat, who seemed to be sleeping. But his amber eyes were clouded and glazed, giving away the secret that this cat was dead. The dead cat’s fur was ungroomed and dirty, and by the look of the silvery cat’s eyes, she had failed to save him when he was alive and in pain.
Even though she was frail and defeated herself, she didn’t stop licking the dead cat. “Shadow, oh Shadow. What have I done? How will I recover from this failure?”
Even as night fell, she wouldn’t leave her beloved kit, laying her head on his lifeless pelt and falling into a deep, haunted sleep. Waking up yowling with pain, she got weaker and weaker, more and more depressed. Even as she became ill herself she wouldn’t leave him, even as her own strength and life ebbed away.
She wouldn’t live much longer like this. Her own pelt, once beautiful, became ragged and ungroomed. Her own eyes became glazed with terror and death.
She wouldn’t want this. Shadow wouldn’t want this either.
So as the night fell over once more, she looked down to Shadow and saw his spirit rising from his own body. Shadow’s starry body brushed hers for the last time, and he stared at her with a look of pleading and love mixed into one. As if he was saying, live for me. Live on, and when it’s your time come join me.
Staring at her lovingly, he rose into the stars, and as her gaze followed him, she was able to see the stars. Shining brightly like Shadow’s own spirit.
Shadow’s broken body faded away along with Shadow, leaving the silver cat alone with the stars. But now, she knew. Now she was sure.
That when she looked up, her beloved kit would be in the stars.
And with that, she crossed the line.
This does make sense! I really like this. It shows that no matter what, you should not give up. Great job, Nightwish!!! I would love to read more from you 🙂
Love it!!

“Ashkit, Hopekit, Honeykit, Riverkit, and Flamekit, until you earn your warrior names, you shall be known as Ashpaw, Hopepaw, Honeypaw, Riverpaw, and Flamepaw.”
Robinstar blinked warmly down at the new SkyClan apprentices.
“Ashpaw! Hopepaw! Honeypaw! Riverpaw! Flamepaw!” the Clan chanted their new apprentice names.
Ashpaw. Ashpaw.
Ashpaw loved her new name. It sounded fierce, but calm, like spiraling ash from burning bark instead of spiraling snow from thick gray clouds. And she was an apprentice! At last, with her brothers and sisters learning beside her.
“I want to be a warrior too!” Bluekit squeaked as the Clan drifted back to their daily life.
“Me too!” Cinnamonkit puffed out her chest fur as thickly as it would go, so she looked like a dust bunny. Ashpaw hid her laughter.
“I’m not a warrior,” she told the kits. “Only an apprentice!”
“But you will be a warrior soon!” Bluekit whined.
Ashpaw rolled her eyes. Bluekit was stubborn, but he was a bright and lively little kit. Ashpaw hoped she would be a warrior before he became an apprentice so she could mentor him. Shaking Cinnamonkit off her tail, as she tried to sink her needle-sharp teeth into it, she joined her siblings at the fresh-kill pile. Ashpaw was about to pick up a small shrew, but Robinstar suddenly loomed over her. Ashpaw stifled a squeak of fright. But Robinstar just bent down and selected a fat thrush from the pile, dropped it at Ashpaw’s feet, and picked up her shrew instead.
“Today you became an apprentice, that we need to celebrate.” Robinstar winked at her, and trotted over to her deputy, Rowanleaf’s side to eat her shrew, and share tongues.
Ashpaw hurried over to her sibling to tell them all about how Robinstar had spoken to her and given her the plump thrush, and share the tasty prey with them. They ate and ate until all that was left of the thrush was a ghostly pile of bones.
Ashpaw crept through the undergrowth, swift like a bird in the sky. She pounced, and crunched the bird’s spine. It went limp between her teeth. She help it up to the sun, feeling pride and warmth run through her pelt at her first ever prey caught.
“Well done!” Her mentor, Oliveleaf, praised.
“Fanks!” Ashpaw beamed through the bird in her mouth.
“Let’s get back to camp and see how your littermate’s have done,”
“kay!” Ashpaw bounced after her mentor, the thought of showing her catch to her siblings warming her pelt even further.
When they stepped inside the camp, she heard Robinstar and Rowanleaf whispering, fear scent rising from their pelts. The warm feeling disappeared from Ashpaw’s pelt as if it had never been there. The land darkened as gray clouds covered the sun, and the whistling wind arose. Oliveleaf stared at his leader with worry on his face. Ashpaw wanted to step forward and comfort him, but she suddenly yelped in pain. A thorn had been driven into her paw pad.
“Go to Lightbreeze, I’ll take your prey to the fresh-kill pile,” Oliveleaf said.
Ashpaw nodded, dropped the prey at his paws, and limped to the den of the medicine cat. Smells of poppy and mint and different types of herbs hit her nose, all at once, making her want to sneeze. She gasped. Lightbreeze, the SkyClan medicine cat, was lying on the floor, limp, motionless. Her eyes were wide open, her mouth gaping in a soundless scream. Blood smeared the warm floor of the medicine den. Ashpaw felt her stomach twist.
“Lightbreeze? Lightbreeze?” She whispered.
Thunder boomed outside, loud, menacing.
SkyClan had no medicine cat apprentice. If Lightbreeze died then….
The she-cat stirred.
“Lightbreeze!” Ashpaw gasped.
Lightbreeze’s clouded amber eyes landed on Ashpaw.
“Take…..moonstone….poppy seeds….”
Ashpaw lunged for the poppy seeds. She picked through them, till her paw pad felt something smooth, and cool. She hooked out the object, and let it tumble to the floor.
“Lightbreeze, what is this?” She asked.
“Moonstone….say….Silver…stream….River…and Thunder….make her…meet…A cat…with a gray…stripe….” Lightbreeze gasped, and her eyes closed. Ashpaw started with horror at the medicine cat. She wanted to scream, but she bit back the wail. Shaking, she wanted to back out of the den, but her injured paw landed on the smooth stone, and she slipped. Thunder. A flash of light. Ashpaw felt her body groan with pain. Her vision blurred as it focused on the stone. It was covered with her blood. Thunder, then a coldness so fierce and frosty it made Ashpaw want to never wake up swept through her body. Coldness stabbed at her fur, her skin, she could no longer breath….and the world went dark around her.
I will write part 3 today!
This is coming out so good! I love how well you express their personalities and the emotion!
Thanks! 😀
Okay so Eye of the Storm is finished and the last chapter can be found on page 524! Here’s a quick recap: The Clans defeated Snake and his rogues, but many were lost to their treacherous reign, including Stormfrost’s mate, Ryewing and her best friend Rainmist, leaving Rainmist and Swiftsnow’s kits orphaned. Stormfrost finds comfort in her old friend Everflame, and after Fernleaf decides she belongs in ShadeClan, Stormfrost makes the decision to return to PineClan (poor Silverdusk). Rainmist’s son Lionkit follows her and tells her he wishes to start over, and Stormfrost gathers the kits and takes them to their new home. Now it’s time to release the first two chapters of the next book in the series, The First Warrior! We have two new protagonists this time, because I was tired of writing Stormfrost. I’ll post the allegiances here, too! Enjoy and as always, I appreciate any feedback from y’all!!

Chapter 1
They smell weird, Dawnkit thought, scrunching her face as the new warriors walked by. I wish they would go away.
Sammie, Luna, and their kit, Izzy, were new additions to PineClan. They came from a barn at the edge of the territory. After the barn was destroyed in a fire that luckily didn’t reach the Clans, they joined PineClan for safety, but they didn’t quite fit in. They don’t even have Clan names! Dawnkit remarked. I’m proud to be a Clan cat, and I would want a real name.
Lilykit scampered up behind her. “What are you doing?”
Dawnkit shrugged. “I don’t know. Just watching.”
“Our apprentice ceremony is so soon!” Lilykit squealed. “I can’t wait to become a warrior. I’m going to be the best warrior in the whole Clan!”
Dawnkit twitched her whiskers in amusement. “I’m sure you will be. One day, you might even become the leader.”
Lilykit pressed up against Dawnkit. “And you will be my medicine cat.”
It was no secret that Dawnkit wanted to be a medicine cat. Her mother had practically glowed with pride when she told her. Ambershine didn’t have an apprentice yet, so the spot as a medicine cat apprentice was available.
Everflame padded up behind them, and Dawnkit felt a rush of pride. Her father, the PineClan deputy! Well, he wasn’t really her father, but she and Lilykit never knew Ryewing, and Everflame was the one who raised them.
“Are you ready for your apprentice ceremony?” he asked.
Lilykit bounced on her paws. “It’s today!”
Everflame purred. “I know it is. How exciting is this? One of you is training to be a warrior, and the other will be the next great medicine cat!”
Lilykit leaned forward. “Can we go hunting?”
Dawnkit shook her head. Lilykit was always so hyper. “Aren’t you supposed to wait until you’re an apprentice before you go out of camp?” she asked skeptically.
Everflame touched his nose to the top of Dawnkit’s head. “I think I can make an exception.”
Lilykit sprinted in a circle. “Yay!”
Dawnkit blinked in confusion. Why was Everflame breaking the rules? “Shouldn’t we ask Stormfrost first?”
Lilykit shrugged. “I don’t think she would care. She never cares. Besides, we’re almost apprentices, and Everflame gave us permission.”
Dawnkit knew that her sister was right, but a small part of her still wanted to ask Stormfrost permission just to pretend that her mother cared. “Fine, let’s just go.”
“Everflame? Can you take me out training?” Lionpaw stood behind Everflame.
Dawnkit’s heart sank. Everflame was about to show them the pine forest! Why did Lionpaw have to ruin everything? He always made sure that Everflame spent all of his time with him.
Lilykit puffed out her chest. “He was going to take us out hunting before our ceremony.”
Lionpaw looked back at Everflame. “Well?”
Everflame casted an apologetic glance towards Lilykit and Dawnkit. “Sorry, you two. Lionpaw is my apprentice. Tell you what. After the ceremony, we can do something special, like race each other, or anything you want. Okay?”
Lilykit nodded reluctantly. “I understand.”
Dawnkit glared at Lionpaw’s back as he walked away. I wish you stayed in RockClan, where you belong. She turned to Lilykit. “Want to play catch with a pebble?”
Lilykit stared wistfully after Lionpaw. “Sure,” she murmured distractedly.
Deerkit and Branchkit bounded out of the nursery. “I want to play too!” Deerkit yowled.
“And me!” Branchkit squeaked.
Dawnkit nodded. “Of course you can,” she mewed. “Why don’t you go find a pebble?”
Deerkit lifted her chin. “I’ll find the perfect pebble!”
Branchkit nudged his sister. “No! I will!” He shoved her to the ground and the two tussled for a few moments before Lilykit interrupted them.
“Uh, guys? I already got a good one.”
Deerkit sprang up. “Toss it to me first!”
Lilykit nudged the pebble in Deerkit’s direction, but Dawnkit rolled in front of it and caught it between her teeth. “I win!” she cried victoriously.
“What are you kits doing?”
Dawnkit leapt to her paws and quickly licked her fur clean of dust. “We were just playing.”
Stormfrost hurried over to her and finished brushing her off. “Your apprentice ceremony is later today. I don’t need my kits covered in filth for it,” she scolded.
“Sorry, Stormfrost,” Lilykit mumbled as she flattened her ears.
Stormfrost’s tail twitched. “What’s done is done. Just make sure you aren’t dirty for the ceremony.”
Dawnkit sighed. “We won’t.” She wished her mother could be more like Fallowleap, who cared for her kits all the time, and would be inseparable from them on the day of their apprentice ceremony. But Stormfrost was distant. She always had been. Dawnkit remembered a little bit about Fernleaf, Stormfrost’s sister, who had cared for them as if they were hers. I bet Fernleaf would be a better mother than Stormfrost, she thought, a little resentful. At least we have Everflame. Everflame practically raised Dawnkit and Lilykit after their real father died, and their mother was too sad to look after them. He was not Stormfrost’s mate, but he was her friend and he tried to make sure that they were always happy, and sometimes Dawnkit forgot that he wasn’t their actual father.
Lilykit waved a paw in front of Dawnkit’s face. “Hello? Earth to Dawnkit!”
Dawnkit shook her head to clear her mind. “What?”
“I said Needlestar is about to call the meeting! He’s just waiting for Everflame and Lionpaw to get back.” She purred. “How exciting is this!?”
Joy flooded through Dawnkit. She was about to train to be a medicine cat apprentice! She would finally be where she belonged. “That’s awesome! I hope they hurry up!”
Lilykit glanced at the camp entrance. “Runningbreeze is fetching them now.”
As she spoke, Runningbreeze returned with Everflame and Lionpaw. She sure is fast. She lives up to her name, Dawnkit thought in amusement.
Needlestar jumped onto the Pine Pile. “All cats gather round the Pine Pile for a Clan meeting!” he called.
Dawnkit’s paws felt light as she and Lilykit bounded over to the Pine Pile. She sat down next to Lilykit at the bottom of the pile, and waited for Needlestar to continue.
“We are gathered here today to make two kits into apprentices. I love this part of leading a Clan because it allows us to watch new generations grow up. Would Dawnkit and Lilykit please step forward?”
Dawnkit closed her eyes. She was finally on her way to becoming a medicine cat! She hoped with all her heart that she would make Stormfrost proud. When she opened her eyes, she saw Stormfrost gazing up at her and Lilykit, love glimmering in her blue eyes. Beside her was Everflame, who was purring and nodding in encouragement.
“Lilykit, from this moment forth, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Lilypaw. Your mentor will be Icestone. Icestone, this is your first apprentice, and I hope you will pass on your knowledge and strength to her.”
Dawnkit watched as Lilypaw touched noses with Icestone, her whiskers quivering with excitement.
“Dawnkit.” Dawnkit startled at her name being called. “From this moment forth, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Dawnpaw. It is my understanding that you wish to train as a medicine cat apprentice, so Ambershine will be your mentor. May she pass on her skills and wisdom to you.”
Ambershine padded over to Dawnpaw and touched her nose to hers. Her eyes were warm and comforting.
“Lilypaw! Dawnpaw!”
Dawnpaw’s heart swelled as she heard Stormfrost cheering louder than any of her Clanmates.
Lilypaw raced over to Dawnpaw. “We’re apprentices now!” she mewed giddily. “I can’t wait to learn how to hunt, and fight, and attack ShadeClan cats!”
“I will teach you how to hunt and fight,” Icestone told her in amusement, “but you won’t be learning how to attack ShadeClan cats.”
Lilypaw’s eyes widened. “Sorry!”
“It’s fine,” Icestone purred. “How about I start by giving you a tour of the territory?”
Lilypaw lit up. “Yeah! I’ll see you later, Dawnpaw.”
Deerkit and Branchkit trotted over to Dawnpaw. “Fallowleap says we have to say congratulations,” Branchkit explained.
Dawnpaw dipped her head. “Thank you.”
Deerkit sulked. “You’re so lucky that you’re an apprentice!” she complained. “We still have, like, two moons!”
Dawnpaw stifled a purr. “That’s not too long,” she countered. “You just have to be patient.”
Deerkit rolled her eyes. “Easy for you to say.”
“Dawnpaw!” Ambershine called. “Are you ready?”
Dawnpaw whipped around. “I’m coming!”
Chapter 2
Lionpaw moved quickly away from the Pine Pile after the apprentice ceremony was over. He had to get back to Everflame before—
“Lionpaw! I’ve been looking everywhere for you!”
Lionpaw inwardly groaned. “Hi, Izzy.”
Izzy’s green eyes were shining as she stepped in front of him. “Hi,” she breathed as she took a step closer to him. Lionpaw fought the urge to take a step back. “I already asked Runningbreeze. She said it’s alright if we go hunting together.”
Oh, great. “I, er, I don’t know if Everflame will let me,” he said awkwardly, hoping the excuse would work.
Izzy tilted her head. “Then go ask.”
“I don’t know—”
“Everflame!”
Lionpaw bit back a growl. Why did she have to be so difficult? Couldn’t she see that he didn’t want to hunt with her?
Everflame lifted his head at Izzy’s yowl and walked over to them. “What’s up?”
“Can Lionpaw go hunting with me? We promise to bring back a lot of prey.”
I never promised that.
Everflame shrugged. “I don’t see why not.”
Izzy brushed her pelt against Lionpaw’s. “Great! Thank you.”
Everflame’s eyes twinkled in amusement. “Have fun.”
Lionpaw glared at him, but his mentor didn’t notice.
“I think I’m best at hunting mice, but I’m also good at rabbits. It makes sense that I’m so good at catching mice, because that was my job on the farm! I’m probably the worst at catching birds, which is unfortunate because I really like birds…”
Lionpaw let her voice fade away until she was basically just chattering to herself. He caught the scent of a squirrel and crouched down. Everflame was still teaching him how to climb trees, so he had to make sure that the squirrel stayed on the ground. And that means that Izzy can’t scare it into a tree.
“Boo!”
The squirrel startled at Izzy’s voice and dashed high into a tree. Lionpaw faced the annoying apprentice, hissing. “Why did you do that?!”
Izzy giggled. “I was trying to scare you.”
Lionpaw huffed. “Yeah, well the only thing you scared was that squirrel.”
Izzy looked at her paws. “Sorry.”
Lionpaw turned away. “Just go away. I’m going to hunt on my own.” He didn’t wait for a response. He couldn’t stand another second of being around her.
“So you’re the new apprentice?” Izzy mewed to Lilypaw.
Lilypaw nodded vigorously. “Yeah. What’s it like?”
“Well,” Izzy began, and Lionpaw braced for an endless ramble. “It’s a lot of work, but it’s fun. I can’t wait to be a warrior.”
Wow. Straight to the point. I’m impressed.
Lilypaw leaned forward. “Don’t you ever wish that you had a Clan name? So then you could get a warrior name?”
Izzy shook her head. “I like my name, and I’m proud of it. I wouldn’t want some name like, Bushtail, or something like that.”
Lilypaw sighed. “Well your name wouldn’t be that.”
Izzy made a face. “Why? That’s what all of your names sound like.”
Lionpaw rested his chin on his paws and closed his eyes as the she-cats’ conversation faded away. He opened his eyes into the same dream he always had.
“Lionpaw.”
“Swiftsnow?” Lionpaw called out at his father’s voice.
“Why didn’t you save me?”
Anguish filled Lionpaw’s heart. “I was only a kit! I’m sorry!”
Swiftsnow stepped out of the shadows. “You should have tried,” he growled.
Lionpaw whipped his head around desperately. “I’m sorry! I should have tried to save you, I know that now. It’s all my fault!”
“Lionpaw,” Rainmist’s delicate whisper floated from the darkness. “I promise I will see you soon.”
Lionpaw flattened his ears. “Stop taunting me!”
“I promise!”
“You let me die!”
“Be brave!”
“You should have tried to save me!”
“No!” Lionpaw screeched. “I was a kit! It wasn’t my fault! Leave me alone!”
Swiftsnow faded into nothingness, his angry words going with him.
Rainmist tried to get closer to him. “I promise. I won’t break my promise.”
Lionpaw stumbled backwards. “You did!” he cried. “You promised you would come for me but you never did! I never saw you again because you died.”
Rainmist sobbed, her eyes widening, and then she, too, faded away, leaving Lionpaw alone in the darkness.
Lionpaw woke up, gasping for air. Lilypaw lifted her head in the nest next to his. “Are you okay?”
Lionpaw caught his breath. “Yeah,” he murmured. “Just a bad dream.”
“I get those sometimes, too,” Lilypaw replied softly. “I find that it helps to think of all the happy things around me. I also like to talk to Dawnpaw about them.”
Lionpaw was silent. He didn’t really want to talk about his nightmares to a young apprentice. Then again, there weren’t too many happy things in his life. He didn’t know where he belonged in the Clan, and a lot of cats still saw him as RockClan. Lilypaw stared at him expectantly. “I dream about my parents,” he finally muttered.
“Well I don’t understand how that’s a bad dream,” Lilypaw pressed.
“My father is angry at me. He tells me that I let him die. And my mother… well she just keeps repeating her last words to me, which were that she promises that she will see me soon.” Lionpaw took a deep breath. “I know it’s not real, but it still hurts.”
Lilypaw rested her tail on Lionpaw’s back. “Why do you blame yourself for your father’s death?” she asked quietly.
Lionpaw jerked his head in her direction. “What?”
“Your dreams aren’t real, which means that some part of you blames yourself for your father’s death. Why?”
Lionpaw’s pelt grew hot. Was he really that easy to see through? Maybe Lilypaw was just really good at understanding other cats. “I guess I just feel like I should have protected him,” he confessed. “I know that it’s ridiculous. I was a kit. But I was his only son, and his firstborn. I should have been there for him. Instead, I didn’t even find out he was killed until a moon later.”
Lilypaw’s green eyes glinted in the shadows. “That’s ridiculous, Lionpaw. There’s nothing you could have done that would have prevented his death. If you had been there, you probably would have been killed, too.”
Lionpaw blinked rapidly. “I know that, but it doesn’t change how I feel.”
Lilypaw shifted closer to Lionpaw, her flowery scent reaching his nose. “What about your mother?”
“Huh?”
“Why was your mother in the dream?”
“I… I guess I’m angry with her.”
“Why are you angry with her?”
Lionpaw sighed. When would the questions stop? “I think it’s because she promised me that she would be with us, me and my sisters, soon. She promised us over and over again, whenever she got a small chance to see us. It gave us so much hope, and then she died just when we thought we won.”
Lilypaw quickly licked his cheek. “I’m sorry,” she murmured. “But it’s not her fault that she died. You shouldn’t blame her for something that was out of her control.”
Lionpaw sighed. “I know. I just miss them so much.” He looked up at her. “What are your dreams about?”
Lilypaw ducked her head. “I don’t know. Stuff.”
Lionpaw poked her side. “Hey. I told you my dreams, so you have to tell me yours. It’s only fair.”
“Fine,” Lilypaw mewed. “They’re about my father. I’m always walking through a shadowy forest. It’s very dark, and I’m lost. I see a cat who looks like he could help, and he I know… I just know that he’s my father. But when I call out to him, I see that he doesn’t have a face. I think it’s because I resent the fact that my mother spends all of her time grieving over a cat I never knew, but yet I am his daughter. It bothers me so much because I should love my father, but I don’t even know what he looks like.”
Lionpaw nodded. “That’s tough. But you have Everflame, right? And he practically raised you as if he were your father. Maybe it’s okay if Ryewing doesn’t mean the same thing to you
that he did to Stormfrost.”
Lilypaw thought for a moment. “Maybe,” she said slowly. “You knew Ryewing, didn’t you?”
“Yes,” Lionpaw answered. “He was friends with Rainmist.”
Lilypaw looked him in the eye. “What was he like?”
“I don’t remember him too much, but he was kind. And he really cared about Stormfrost and you and Dawnpaw. He was willing to die just so you would be safe, and that’s exactly what he did.” Lionpaw tried to think of there was anything else. “I don’t know. He was a really good cat. He loved making the kits laugh, and he was so excited to find out that he was having kits of his own.”
Lilypaw’s eyes glittered with tears. “Thank you,” she whispered. She yawned. “It was nice talking with you, Lionpaw. Maybe we can do it again sometime.”
“Yeah, maybe,” Lionpaw echoed. As he tried to fall back asleep, he found that his mind kept wandering back to Lilypaw. I don’t know why, he kept telling himself. She’s just a stupid, young apprentice.
Today, I am going to write about cats! Should be fun 🙂
The Wanderer
The moon was red.
Against the blackened night sky, it looked like an evil sun, glaring down at the shattered planet below. The stars, too, were a shade of desolate crimson, devoid of the hopeful light that was normally present there.
Well, it wasn’t normal anymore. Hadn’t been for generations.
For the shadowy feline prowling through the desert, the black and red ceiling was all that there had ever been. Some passed down stories that the sun used to be the brightest shade of white imaginable, that the constellations of blood had once been pure, but had been changed by the Cloud an eternity ago; but none of that mattered anymore, and the russet and white cat could no longer afford to care what color the sky was. It simply had to trudge along in the light brown sand and hope it made it to Mementos before the wind picked up.
They didn’t really want to turn soft, but after everything they’d seen, maybe the life of a kittypet was worth it. Maybe they could use some peace after all…
Suddenly, the cat stopped walking. It opened its jaws to taste the air, then, slowly, it began to lower itself to the sandy floor. A slight breeze was blowing across the desert. A slight breeze that was growing stronger. They were too late.
It closed its eyes.
The cold wind grew until the rushing of air was all that could be heard. Through shut eyes, the cat felt sand crash against its pelt in relentless waves, like needles bouncing pelting stabbing into a tree. The wind grew even stronger, picking up more and more sand. If the cat had opened its eyes, it would’ve seen that the sand was not natural.
In fact, it was entirely scarlet.
In moments, the storm was no longer sweeping the desert, but surrounding and encasing the feline shape in a pillar of blood. It lingered there for just a moment as a hunter would, relishing the moment before that final pounce.
Before its prey was killed.
In that moment, the cat realized that something was wrong. It knew that most sandstorms would’ve passed by now, or at least become less turbulent; but if anything, this storm had only grown worse. As if to confirm their suspicions, the sand abruptly converged around them, burying them in scarlet.
Crushed under the weight of the sand, the cat frantically tried to escape. They threw themselves in any direction they could, desperately searching for a way out, but the sand did not break. They scrambled forward, but the particles kept them in place. Running out of air, the cat tried one final time to leap clear of the crimson, but the red easily swamped the attempt.
They suddenly felt very tired.
They opened their jaws to scream.
They collapsed into the crimson.
Red flooded through them.
The world turned upside-down, then everything went black.

The cat felt themselves being lifted up, up, up towards the sky. Were they dead? Death wasn’t supposed to feel so…

The pain of a thousand needles shot through Blaze, as if every cat in the Outlands had stabbed her at the same time. Her eyes jolted open, and she writhed in the air for a moment, her paws finding nothing but empty space. Then the pain subsided, and she took a gasping breath, freely gulping air into her lungs for the first time since the sandstorm.

Blaze felt another flash of pain, then the world rushed back to her. She still couldn’t see, but she was definitely suspended in the air. She also felt very cold; like the time she had first stepped into the eternal winter surrounding the Epicenter.
It’s so cold… I can’t see… Where’s the ground?
Connecting visual pathways_
The world blurred into focus. Blaze could see! She blinked a few times, uncertain of what lay before her. That couldn’t be right… Staring down, beyond her sleek black paws, there was nothing.
W-where’s the ground?
She waited for the voice to answer her. No answer came.
Blaze forced herself to calm down, than she turned away from the hypnotizing sight below and instead observed her closer surroundings.
There was no sign of nature anywhere; it was all twoleg steel and white light like the humans had used before the Cloud took them. She saw long, mechanical arms working on the sides of the pit, creating tunnels that twisted into other rooms leading to even more tunnels. She looked up, noticing a similar, shorter arm closed around her shoulders. It occurred to Blaze that the arm was all that was keeping her from falling forever, and she found a new appreciation for the odd device. She was trying to find out where she was going when she felt something tap against her leg.
Blaze whirled around to see what it was, and her eyes widened.
Beside her, swinging limply from a mechanical arm exactly like hers, was a robotic cat. It looked unnatural, with some sort of crimson and white colored skin strewn across it’s metal endoskeleton; but the worst part was its pupil-less eyes, which stared at her unblinkingly. Seeing that she had noticed, the nightmarish feline nodded a greeting, its synthetic muzzle twisting into a cruel smile.

Welcome Simulacrum #256_
“What are you?” Blaze croaked, her voice numb from underuse and shock.
The simulacrum laughed a harsh, fleeting laugh. “I’d say death, but you have no reason to fear that anymore. How about… You. What are you?”
Blaze looked taken aback.
The simulacrum’s smile vanished, its patience running out. “look at yourself. What do you see?”
Hesitantly, she tore her eyes from the disturbing creature and examined her legs… Except…
They weren’t hers. They were synthetic; a tangle of artificial skin and partially malleable steel replacing her pelt and bone. She felt blood pulse through her, wondered if that was fake too, and closed her eyes. She felt alive, but… If she looked like the other cat, then…
“I’m… Like… You?”
The red and white feline nodded. “Close enough. We’re simulacrum, cats who’s ghosts have been restored after death. I’ve… Died a few times myself. I always wake up here.” Their ghostly smile returned, “And now, so will you. My name’s Revenant.”
Blaze understood. They were trapped in this situation together- possibly for eternity. Maybe they could help each other. She opened her jaws, about to reveal her name, but she kept it back. She was dead, but cursed to live forever. She was no longer the same cat, for the fire in her soul was gone, leaving nothing but…
“Ash.” She meowed, noting the mechanical undertones present in her voice.
“My name is Ash.”
A new series has arisen!
Choose.
Your.
ADVENTURE!!!!!
Choose Your Adventure is a series where you will read a story and vote in a poll to determine the next chapter!
The Clans are TigerClan, LynxClan, LeopardClan, LionClan, PantherClan, JaguarClan, CougarClan, CheetahClan and ShiningClan.
So without further ado…….
CHAPTER ONE
I stare down at JaguarClan, frosted and covered in snow.
Home.
I left it long ago. I was murdered in the dead of night by the evil Petalstar for bearing her ex-mate, Riftnest´s, kits. Riftnest was killed too. She killed me before I could have my kits, but here in ShiningClan I gave birth to Larkkit, Eaglekit, and Cottonkit.
Petalstar started a war between JaguarClan, TigerClan, and PantherClan so she could discreetly cause the deaths of the deputies and leader and receive nine lives. JaguarClan pulled out of the war when she became leader, but the others are still fighting. If the war doesn´t stop, the other Clans could become involved, tearing us apart. Even ShiningClan will be divided.
¨Violetwhisper!¨
I jump. Gleamfin appeared behind me like he had spent his whole afterlife practicing. I never saw it coming.
¨We have recieved a prophecy. When Panther meets Tiger, Tiger will stop the storm and the moon will rise. You and Riftnest must be reincarnated into a TigerClan litter to make it come true.¨
¨Have you walked in the TigerClan medicine cat, deputy, and leader´s dreams?¨
¨I will at moonhigh tonight.¨
¨Who will take care of our kits?¨
¨Shimmerswirl has arranged for that.¨
¨Good.¨
I look down at the TigerClan nursery. It´s clear who my options are.
Turtlefox lays sideways, belly heaving. She´s just about ready to have her kits, which is good, because we have no time to waste stopping . But her mate is dead, her litter bears only one, and she has Greencough. The birth will kill her and sicken the kit, making it weak.
The other queen in the nursery is Lilystream. She has a kind mate, three unborn kits, and a desire to be evil. She won´t be a good mother, but perhaps Honeywing, her mate, will be a good father. And the kit will have her siblings to rely on. However, Lilystream will give birth in two and a half moons, time we can´t waste lightly.
Suddenly, Turtlefox groans and rolls over. Her stomach convulses. Berrythorn rushes in with herbs.
Her kits are coming!
I have to decide now!

Hi guys! Here is the start of my fanfic based on the hunger games.
Prologue
I leaned against a tree, staring at my brother in disbelief. “Andreus, why do we have to go to District 13?” “You heard what I said. I spoke against the Hunger Games.” Sometimes you are so stupid!” “Just shut up Lavinia. Let’s move on.” But it’s too late. The hovercraft approaches. Andreus is speared. I’m caught into a net. “Andreus” I scream as I’m lifted into the Sky. Another girl is there, scooped up before she could scream. Our screams intermingle as we are lifted into the sky.
Isn’t this a Warrior Cats thing not a Hunger Games thing? Just sayin’
No, you can post any sort of writing on this page so long as it’s appropriate for the blog 🙂

MOSSSTREAM’S ADVENTURE CHAPTER 6
Hit the smile or reply button if you like it!
“Hey, Moss, look what I can do.” Flame mewed. My name is Mossstream! Not Moss…He thought with burning anger. “Mossstream, it’s okay to not like Flame,” Nihtwish’s soft voice soothed him. “I don’t trust Flame with my life, but I do with feeding the group.” Nightwish was always the voice of reason. “Okay, but only this once.” Mossstream mewed. “Wait!” Dawn yowled. “Alderwish is missing!” Yowls of shock flew from the group. Did she leave? Did someone get her? This was Ravenkit all over again. “Spottedbird! Track Alderwish! You can reason with her. Take Sweetfrost with you!” Mossstream mewed calmly. This was the start of the tumble downhill.
Oof I messed up Nightwish’s name so bad.

I wrote a short story on a cliche about how, almost all the cats who have the suffix ‘snow’ die. Here it is:
Snowkit(2.0)’s loss~
Snowkit padded out of the nursery, and headed towards the elder’s den. Firekit and Sadkit were already there. Snowkit stepped in, and was overwhelmed by all the noise.
“I will save Stormclan from all the bad cats!” Firekit declared, his chest puffed up and one of his front paws raised. Firekit ran and slammed into Sadkit. “You evil cat!”
Sadkit just turned and stared up at him emotionless. “Life is meaningless. All I feel is pain and nothingness.” Sadkit stared blankly into Firekit’s eyes.
Firekit shivered. He poked Sadkit’s eye. “Do you even have a soul?” Firekit stepped back, but couldn’t let go of Sadkit’s gaze. “You don’t even blink! You really are soulless, huh?”
Snowkit slowly backed away into an elder.
Billytoe laughed in his southern accent. “Ah-hyuck!” Billytoe always did have a weird laugh. “Watchy out lil kit! You don’t wanna die too quickly!”
Snowkit whipped around. What is he talking about!!? I just ran into him! It is not like I am going to die from it! ”Whaaaaaaaaat?”
Billytoe chuckled again. “Come ‘round kits, while I’ll tell y’all a story!” Billytoe flicked his tail signaling for the other kits to come forward.
Firekit bounded forward first, taking the lead as always, and Sadkit just sat where she was as always, staring into the void.
Snowkit dragged her gaze away from Sadkit and looked up at Billytoe. “Tell us the story!”
Billytoe got a serious expression on his face. “Woah easy there munchkin! Are you sure you are ready to hear the haunting tales of the Snow’s?”
Snowkit and Firekit both had a puzzled expression on their face, but nodded rapidly.
“Well, once upon a time there were these cats who had the suffix of ‘snow’! Just like you Snowkit!”
Snowkit shivered. Was that a good thing? He thought.
“So, there was this kit named Snowkit. Now he looked a lot like you Snowkit, but this cat was deaf!” A smile crept up on Billytoe’s face, as the kits gasped dramatically. ”Anyways, this lil kit was out playing in a clearing, when a hawk swooped by. His mother tried to call him inside, but he couldn’t hear her!” Billytoe swatted his tail against a fly that was at his side. “The hawk swooped down and ate him up!”
Snowkit jumped back in horror! “But, the other ‘Snows’ survived right?” Snowkit’s pelt was quivering with fear.
“Aw heck naw! They all died too! Want me to list them all?” Both him and Firekit were shaking their heads no, but Billytoe had already started. “There is Snowbird, Snowtuft, Snowfur, Snowbush, Snow-”
“Stop!” Snowkit had jumped up in fear. “Does that mean I am doomed?”
Billytoe chuckled, then suddenly stated flatly. “Yes.”
Snowkit gasped in horror, and ran to go find his mother. As he was running, he tripped and hit his head on a sharp rock.
Later that day, Snowkit died from blood loss.
