This book was PURRFECT!! I died a little inside when Pebbleshine was taken, though, and when Billystorm died (why do the best cats always die early??!). Can’t wait for Hawkwing to meet the Clans!

I just started blogclan. But I loved this book. I am also waiting in vain to figure out what happens
Okay, so I’m not going to look at any of the comments on here, because I’m only on chapter three first time reading it, so I’m not going to spoil it for myself…. but here’s what happened…
So I pick up the book and start reading…. and I see DUSKPAW 😀 and I’m like YAY someone who has the same name as me 😀 (though there are probably lots of characters in the arcs that do) and then I find myself really liking his character, even though there’s not much about him, and he gets in trouble a lot. But he’s scatteredbrained, and goofy, and that I can relate to. I find myself thinking… hmmmm I’m really going to like this character! I hope to learn/read more about him!
and then I keep reading and
BAM
heart crushed, dreams shattered, sadness all around….. (you guys all know what I’m talking about)
That’s my first experience of this book, you guys! We’ll see how the rest goes….

Where dose this book fit in terms of sequence with other books?
After Omen of The Stars, because Ravenpaw died somewhere around OoTS. During both The Apprentice’s Quest and Thunder And Shadow is my best guess. Definitely before The Shattered Sky – or at least most of it.
Spoiler Alert for Shattered Sky, I guess.
The manga takes place during Shattered Sky, because in it Echosong has died, however she dies during a vision in Shattered Sky. So it would be
Hawkwing’s Journey–>first part of Shattered Sky–>HW Manga–>rest of Shattered Sky

I haven’t been settling in to this skyclan thing. In videos I’ve seen a lot of people refer to this as Chekhovs Gun. I do like where everything is going though
I really liked this book
I thought it was nice to see the POV of a skyclan cat in chaos, and it really foreshadowed for AVOS. 🙂
