Personality: Constantly falsely sweet and kind, acting very motherly to cats she meets. Many cannot figure out why she was sent to the Dark Forest until she shares her story. She is prideful, possessive, dishonest, intelligent, and manipulative, with a thirst for revenge. Deep down she is severely depressed and hopeless, yearning to be forgiven for her sins and go to be with her family in StarClan, but she refuses to let herself admit this, even to herself.
Reason they’re in the Dark Forest:
Here’s a list- I’ve had a lot of time developing this character aaaahah ‘^^

• As an apprentice in ShadowClan, killed her father when she found out he was in a forbidden relationship with a RiverClan she-cat. She believed she had done the right thing by eliminating a traitor and weak link in her Clan, and barely grieved, covering up her crime with the scent of fox from a den nearby.
• Systematically depleted the catmint store during a greencough outbreak, resulting in the deaths of many cats and even costing her leader a life
• Drowned an apprentice in the river due to his failure of his warrior assessment
• Suffocated her newborn daughter, the runt of a two-kit litter, in the moss of her nest while she slept
• Mentally manipulated her son, telling him lies about the treachery of the other Clans and how only the strong survive
• Attempted to kill the ThunderClan leader’s kits during a battle, resulting in her son tearing out her eye and utterly destroying half of her face. (The ThunderClan leader had become a positive maternal figure in his life, and he ended up joining ThunderClan after the battle to get away from Honeyblaze)
• Slowly spiraled into a deep, rage-fueled depression, now blatantly murdering cats she found alone in the forest and leaving them there
• Invaded ThunderClan, alone, and tried to kill her son while he slept. The ThunderClan leader heard her and killed her, where she went briefly to StarClan and spoke with her father, the drowned apprentice, and her daughter, who told her she was to remain in the Dark Forest forever until her memory was gone.

Reason they’re in the Dark Forest:
When her brother, Hazelnose, fell in love with Duskwhisper as an apprentice, Fogstorm felt as if he was beginning to care for them over her, and grew bitter. She pretended as if she didn’t care, and focused on her training. She became a powerful warrior, if ruthless. In an attempt to get her brother back, she tried to pressure him into joining her in her quest for glory, claiming they could be leader and deputy. However, Hazelnose was upset by her bloodthirstiness, enough so that eventually he became a medicine cat. As Duskwhisper and Hazelnose grew closer, Fogstorm grew more and more frustrated with her brother. Eventually, it came time for Riverclan to pick a new deputy, and the two obvious choices were Duskwhisper and Fogstorm. Fogstorm tried to pressure the leader into picking her, and then when that didn’t work, attacked them and killed them, and made their death look they merely drowned. Fogstorm asked Hazelnose to fake a sing from starclan saying that they chose her for leader, but Hazelnose would not, saying that he would wait for an actual sign. The wait grew longer, and Fogstorm began to scheme. She began to talk to her brother more, acting very kind and slowly filling his head with rumors. At this point, he and Duskwhisper were mates, and she said that Duskwhisper was only doing it to reveal him to the clans as a rule breaker, to gain power. As Hazelnose grew more sucked into her lies, Duskwhisper grew suspicious, asking Hazelnose not to spend so much time with his sister. This only spurred Hazelnose’s unease, and eventually Fogstorm had him convinced. He faked a sign from starclan, but his medicine cat apprentice, Lilacpaw, received a sign from starclan saying he was lying. Duskwhisper, betrayed, ended their relationship and revealed it to the clan, then exiled Hazelnose & Fogstorm. In a rage, Hazelnose followed Lilacpaw and Duskwhisper to the moonpool, and attacked them right before they spoke to starclan for Duskwhisper’s 9 lives. He killed Lilcacpaw, but Duskwhisper was able to return the favor. Fogstorm then jumped in, nearly killing Duskwhisper, then went to the moonpool to ask for 9 lives herself. Duskwhisper, not quite dead, leaped at her, and they both drowned in the moonpool.

Personality: Flashwing is a loyal, anxious, soft-spoken, strong-willed warrior with a big heart. He is still very troubled by his daughter’s betrayal of him, and takes some comfort in caring for Featherkit, who was Honeyblaze’s daughter who she killed.
Other: He was killed by Honeyblaze, his daughter, when she was an apprentice after she saw him meeting with a RiverClan she-cat. He and Featherkit later sent Honeyblaze to the Dark Forest themselves after she was killed by the ThunderClan leader.

Personality: Seeks control, vae can get easily stressed and often snaps at others, however vae always believes that vae is in the right, and actually is a mostly kind cat who doesnt know why vae is in the dark forest
Reason they’re in the Dark Forest: She was a medicine cat under a cruel leader, who started fights with other cats for no reason and was set on wiping out those that he believed weren’t good enough. She received a prophecy saying that the son of that leader would save them, but as Nightpaw grew older and older he was entirely indoctrinated into his father’s beliefs. Fallowshine confronted him, and told him about the underground rebellion that was brewing. Nightpaw threatened to tell his father if she didn’t call it off, but gave vaem some time to think about his offer. In that time, he had a fall, and came into the medicine den to get treated. The injury wasn’t bad, but Fallowshine faked that he had an infection, feeding him death berries that night. Vae was later involved in a coup to take down the leader, again using death berries to kill. Later, vae was assassinated by one of the old leaders supporters because she was a figurehead for the rebellion. Even though she believed she was in the right, StarClan didn’t agree with her taking matters into her own paws and sent her to the dark forest.
Other: She’s been in the dark forest for a while, but has tried not to let it make her bitter. If you want Nightpaw to not be a failed prophecy cat that’s fine !!

Later he was killed by her in an effort to protect her cause. He joined StarClan and was forgiven for his past beliefs and blind following of his father’s words

Personality: He’s clever and cunning, and rather ruthless. He’s arrogant and fairly unfeeling, but is slightly kinder than he appears on the surface.
Backstory:
He was born a rogue living in a loosely organized group. While his only living parent, his mother, provided for him, he saw many other kits starve because of the lack of cohesive leadership and support. His mother was later killed by a monster, and he eventually discovered the clans after fending for himself for a while. He appreciated the way things were organized, and joined Skyclan. Despite his background and ruthlessness, he gained his clanmates respect if not their affection.
His eventually became the deputy of a leader named Driftstar, who was calmer but arguably too kind. They balanced each other out well, and together ruled Skyclan quite well until Elmstrike started getting too ambitious. His goal wasn’t to take over Skyclan, but to make Skyclan the most powerful clan in the forest. His ideas grew increasingly risky, until he was eventually killed in a battle that he started.

He was eventually killed by Iceclaw,their step-brother,when caught stealing prey. He should have gone to the Dark Forest,but managed to avoid their fate by existing as a ghost for many moons. They discovered a way to travel between StarClan and the Dark Forest,and has been waiting for the right time to strike.

Reason they’re in the Dark Forest: When Snakefang was an apprentice they had a crush on Spirepaw, a former rouge who had been brought to the Clan as a kit, Snakepaw was originally mean to Spirepaw, until they grew to love her. After their warrior ceremony where Snakepaw became Snakefang and Spirepaw became Spireshrike, Snakefang got the courage to ask Spireshrike to be their mate when Spireshrike rejected them, they were heartbroken, especially when only a few days later a tom, Treehopper asked Spireshrike to be his mate and she said yes. They kept their emotions boiling around inside for 15 moons until they couldn’t take it anymore. Spireshrike was having Treehopper’s kits. It broke their heart when they found out. So one night they followed Treehopper when he went on a walk and they killed him. Horrified at what they had done they shrieked in fear and anguish and they ran and ran until they got to the river and they jumped in. Not knowing how to swim, they drowned. There is a legend in the Clan that late at night if you go the river you can still hear her screams, but that’s not true, right?
Other: She doesn’t really deserve the Dark Forest.
