I have had some confusion about Dovewing’s real eye color. I did some fact checking about it, like “Can white cats have golden eyes?” and things like that. I have found that the answers are vague, but I got a general idea. Dovewing can have any eye color, but the most common eye colors for white cats are gold and blue. that narrows it down. the problem is, white cats with blue eyes are most likely the cats that are deaf, and Dovewing is not deaf. there are a lot of cats with white fur and blue eyes that are not deaf, so it is still an option. enough with the facts for a while. now, on to what the Erins put in the books. most of the time, her eyes are blue. some people disagree, but I did a little skim of 3 books that have Dovewing in them, and most frequently the eye color is blue. back to the facts. I found that most cats with white fur also have blue eyes. If you search “pictures of white cats” on the internet, most of them have blue eyes. I found that 56 out of a hundred white cat pictures have blue eyes, and 44 have golden. What I’m trying to say is that Dovewing most likely had blue eyes. You might disagree, but all the facts state that I’m most likely correct. Besides, in the book “Thunder and Shadow” it mentions that she has blue eyes and her eyes are not mentioned in any other color. I think that saying that Dovewing have green of golden eyes was a mistake that was not caught by the editor. I have worked long and hard on this article, so please don’t get mad at me if you think I’m wrong. If you want, you can research this topic on your own, and see for yourself that Dovewing most likely has blue eyes. This topic has been around for years, but I think I am one of the only people to research it, with both facts and information from the book. Thanks for reading!

okay then I feel as if I’m the only one who never really knew or cared what colour eyes any of the cats had.
I still like her with green eyes because it’s in memory of Hollyleaf and I LOVE Hollyleaf and miss her a lot. And besides I think Dovewing looks better with green eyes. However what you say is true and she most likely has blue eyes in real life.
I like her with blue-green eyes, as it ties to Hollyleaf and Dove’s Wing. 🙂 I actually really like the whole green eyed Hollyleaf memory you have there. 😉

her eyes could change color everytimes she blink if that makes u happy but her real eye color is green
I don’t think Dovewing is white, the books list her as light gray 🙂
However, I do agree with her having blue eyes. Nice job! 🙂
That’s true, she is indeed gray. Her mother however was white.
I think that her eyes are blue, it’s what she’s listed the most as and it’s also the most likely genetically.
I like to think that Dovewing has green eyes (To contrast from Lionblaze, Jayfeather, and Ivypool), but her eyes change to blue when she uses her powers. Or maybe she could have heterochromic eyes.
Yeah, I saw that on the script for the MAP, “Ready as I’ll Ever Be.” Because it caught my interest. It would certainly be unique for her have that ability.
I picture her with blue-green eyes because it looks pretty, and the most commonly debated colors for them are blue and green.

Everytime Dovewing uses her vision superpowers, her eyes turn either gold or blue.
I’m sure you’ve all noticed that in recent books Dovewing’s eyes have been pure green.
And I’m sure you’ve also noticed that in these books she does not have her powers.
Coincidence? I think not.
Starting with A Vision of Shadows (excluding Thunder and Shadow) her eye color has been exclusively mentioned as green. However, her eyes were mainly blue in Omen of the Stars and were referred to as gold a few times near the beginning, but her official art had green eyes. I think that Dovewing’s canonical eye color was originally gold, but was changed to blue to match the eyes of Dove’s Wing and was later changed to green to match her official art to avoid conflicting eye colors.

Cool article! You did put a lot effort for finding Dovewing’s true eyes colour 😆! But I think her pelt colour is gray, not white, as it’s listed on the alliance 😉. Anyway you did a great job and I like her have blue eyes too 😺.
